His tank is on the higher alkaline and pH level though and just realized the water heater never got plugged in. Water temp 68. I don’t want to mess up what seems to be working. He was a pet store cup save. So maybe use to room temp? My heater will warm up to 77 that feels like a huge swing? Also do I throw in a betta wood log to get ph down. It is only a 5 gallon take and worried to swing it too acidic? I managed to kill a super cool pictus catfish in a different tank within days of getting him, this last week, he was super healthy, active when we got. I realized tank heater...

Hey guys! We have a male betta fish. He was pitch black when we got him but now he looks reddish and a bit transparent. It is almost 6-7 months since we got him and he seems active but we aren’t sure if he is actually okay. We tried asking the pet store guys and apparently he is okay but we kinda don’t feel like it. I found a lot of figures I've been trying to hunt down at the flea market! The store just picked up a huge box of new Transformers, and I got to look through them! Hi there, Wanted some advice on tank mates for my new 10-gallon. It's about halfway cycled and I’m not planning on putting fish in till it's cycled.
