My kid is really excited for the Chaos Rising release on May 22nd, so I’m trying to figure out the best plan to actually find product that day. For people who’ve been active recently: * Are products usually released in-store on release day? If so, where? * Do places like Target, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, GameStop, Walmart, etc. normally have stock? * What about online releases? Which websites usually drop product, and around what time? * Do stores put product out right when they open, or later in the day? * Which products are usually easiest/hardest to find on release day? I’m mainly trying to avoid wasting a whole day driving around if most places either won’t have stock ...

So I know video games don’t typically get these anymore than they use to, but I’d imagine GTA VI will be a different case hopefully. I know the last time they had any sort of launch event in gaming as a whole was for the Switch 2, which if I’m not mistaken; Best Buy and GameStop were the only ones who participated. Even then though, it was only certain locations and not every single location partook in the launch. Do you guys think there will be a launch event? Because I would like to participate in one hopefully, since I’ve never experienced a video game on this massive scale. Hopefully they reveal news or stores soon, since I plan to preorder from Best Buy.

I’m looking to get my first gaming laptop. I’ve decided on the ROG Strix G16, as my friends in the PC sphere say it looks like a solid option, and I’m finding it on sale. But I wanted to ask yall folks experienced with the brand. Is the official ASUS store reliable to buy from, or would I have better luck buying from a retailer like Best Buy? I ask partially cuz I prefer to buy electronics in person than risk them getting messed up in shipping, but the prices are considerably different at both sites. Thank you for reading!

With all the rumors about GTA 6 preorders maybe going live soon, I’m trying to be fully ready for the Collector’s Edition physical copy. Do you guys think it’ll mainly be through Rockstar Games directly, or through retailers like Best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon, Playstation Direct etc? So I’m confused about Best Buy’s return policy for opened games and wondering if anyone here has actually dealt with this before. I always thought opened/unsealed games couldn’t be returned, which is what basically everyone online says too. But when I went into the Best Buy app to start a return, it actually asked me if the game had been opened. I answered honestly that it was opened, and the app still said I was eligible for a return and generated me a return barcode with store return options.
