I have this 9k estate piece that I love, but the band is thin, the holes in it are hard to clean, and the amethyst is starting to wear down. I would like to re-create it in a sturdier setting with a stronger stone. I am thinking YAG or spinel are likely my best options. I'm cool with sapphire as well, but from what I can tell, lab sapphire only comes in darker colors, and the pastel purple is what I really like about this stone. This situation is a bit complicated so I'd like some advice. I've never taken care of a cat before or been the guardian of one, so this is all new to me and advice would be appreciated as I try to figure out the best course. I posted earlier this week about getting a box of warhammer miniatures from an antique store. It was suggested that I sort them and take pictures for identification so I did my best. Hey everyone, I currently have 15k cad ready to invest into the stock market. I am currently somewhat torn in between 2 things (the best option is probably a mix of both) : 1. Buying for example 5k of nvda, 5k of apple, and 5k of google or big stocks. 2. Dump it all (or DCA) it into S&P 500. I do not plan on using or ever withdrawing this money within probably 8-10 years. All the big winners I have seen are the people who have help those big tech companies for 5+ years. So I guess my question is if I'm in it for the long run, would individual stocks be better than the S&P?

At my store, we have two self checkout bullpens. The one at the grocery door unfortunately has a poor layout. The “aisles” are rather cramped. Frequently, customers block the aisle with their shopping carts, making machine #9 rather inaccessible to those wanting to use it. I usually let customers hash it out. Disappointingly, most people wait helplessly for the other customers to finish, instead of saying “excuse me, may I get by?”.
