How bad would it actually be to store my Urevo SpaceWalk 3S upright or on its side?

28m ago

I moved with it and it's just too **** big for my apartment. Manual says not to store it upright, but it would be massively helpful if I could squeeze it between my bed and the wall on its side. My bedframe reaches the floor, so it can't go under there; doesn't fit under my desk at the same time as my chair; \_might\_ fit under the couch, but it would be annoying to lug back and forth to my desk (where I use it) in the other room. I'm also trying to figure out if I can somehow get my money back on this thing, it's still under warranty. Option C is to just sell it on Craigslist for like $150-200, eat the loss, and buy a more easily storeable Walking Pad.

What will I notice when I switch laptops? Like performance, overall use or convenience features, I’ve been using retin...

****** 20% off question

30m ago

I know a lot of people here work at Lowe's so I'm hoping you can save me a trip to the store **** question that I think I know the answer to. I buy two DeWalt batteries for 299 and get two free tools. Were those two batteries technically not on sale and I can therefore use the 20% off coupon against the 299 price? I assume there's fine print but thought I'd ask. Thanks in advance

Can I use this 12 V DC timer for C batteries?

30m ago

Will include link to product in comments. I'm a total n00b at electronics and all tech, I probably won't do this project myself but I'll buy all the complements, if this is even possible I bought some budget microchip cat feeders that run on C batteries, I was hoping to get them with timers for scheduled meal times, but I can't afford it and the Surefeed microchip feeder base level product was what I could get. If I can add a timer to only allow the batteries to power the feeders 3 to 4 times a day for 20 minutes approx at a time, that would solve my problem and save me money without allowing my fat cat to eat all her food in one sitting I did a little research and thes...

From instant gratification to delayed power: why self-control is hotter than hustle now

31m ago

It’s wild how obsessed we’ve become with instant rewards. Scroll for 10 seconds, get a dopamine hit. Order food, it’s at your door in 30 minutes. Watch a 7-second video titled “How to get rich FAST.” We’re living in a world that rewired our brains to expect everything now. And it’s not just you. It’s all of us. What’s worse is that most of the advice we hear online comes from influencers who barely understand neuroscience. They pitch “grindset” culture, quitting your job to trade crypto, or “manifesting” your goals, no nuance, no depth. So many people are left feeling broken for not succeeding instantly. But resisting quick rewards and learning to delay gratificati...

Okay guys, I want to start off by saying, I can't believe ive gone down this rabbit hole. I have only read through r/homelab posts and never posted anything, but I'm hoping I can get some good help and advice (whether that be to give up). So to cut to the chase. I wanted to build a machine learning server. This journey began after a ton of researching where I learned that it was basically impossibly to hook up a bunch of gpus to a consumer grade gaming motherboard. But then after much negotiation and far travels, I one day got my hands on a Threadripper 3975wx with a asus sage wrx80. When I bought that, I didn't grasp the rabbit hole and the depth of what all is needed to ha...

Forgot to take pictures before gifting it, but I made my best buddy a case for his RG35xx

31m ago

These are admittedly screenshots from a video he sent me, but you can get the idea from it and I can get better pictures if people want lol I’ve been trying to learn leatherworking, and this is the piece that I am most proud of by far even if it’s not perfect. I hand stitched everything on it and that was a very satisfying process. If you’re ever thinking that you should buy a case online, take a second and see if you have a store nearby that sells scrap leather. Buy a piece for three to ten dollars, an awl and some thread with a good needle.

57 [M4F] San Jose, CA Seeking a kind heart

The great philosophers Jake and Elwood Blues, once said “Everybody, needs somebody.. ” and in following their wise words, I am here to meet someone new and chat, talk and with some luck between us, connect for long term.. I am not looking for a short term thing.. fyi. I know this post is long but trust me it’s worth it. I am a 57 year old man from California who is looking for someone, a unique someone, a woman, who is smart and kind and with a touch of humor and sarcasm, fun to spend time with and true to herself and true to those around her. Introvert like me is cool but not a deal breaker, My mystery woman enjoys a night in on the couch and a movie, cares about her health and ca...

6’7” Review: One Week with the Aeron Size C (with Atlas Headrest

32m ago

Like many of you who jumped on the Black Friday Herman Miller deals, I finally snagged the Aeron chair I’d been wanting for office work and gaming. After one week, I couldn’t be happier to share my thoughts with fellow tall folks considering the investment. **Background:** I’d been using a Corsair TC100 for about 8 months. For $260 (current price as of December 2025), it’s surprisingly comfortable for the price point. But here’s the problem: it’s only rated for people up to 6’2”, and at 6’7”, I was constantly slouching. I physically couldn’t maintain proper posture in it. After months of research and serious decision fatigue about which chair to buy, I stumbled on a vi...

Need Help Starting With Shopify Development

32m ago

Hey everyone, I’m completely new to Shopify development and I’m trying to understand the correct path to get started. My goal is to eventually build and customize Shopify stores for clients (mostly theme setup, small fixes, and basic customizations). I don’t want to become a full app developer yet just want a clear direction that helps me start earning with small gigs. Right now I’m confused about: * What exactly I should learn first * How much Shopify admin knowledge I need * When I should start learning Liquid * Whether I need UI/UX design skills at the beginning * What resources are actually helpful and not outdated * How to practice properly (building demo stores, custom se...

I love my 2016 Stepway, it feels like one of the last simple newer cars.

33m ago

It is my family's only car and has so far served us well for 3 years (bought it gently used). I hope it will continue to do so for many more years. And I actually have decent hope it will last, because it is just A Car. I keep hearing about how modern cars have all these electronic gizmos and systems that limit what you can do yourself when it comes to maintenance. Stuff like paying $600 for a front headlight change... Meanwhile I can buy a $3 bulb at my local parts store and swap it out myself in a few minutes with no tools. My car also has things like actual buttons and dials for almost everything (yes it has a touchscreen, but it's only for radio and phone connectivity), cable...

Steam community market issue

I have funds in my wallet, but when I try to buy something from the community market, it tells me to add funds. I can spend the money on the store, but not the community market. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I don’t think I’ll ever buy Toho seed beads again

34m ago

I got into beading (specifically brick stitch and fringe seed bead earrings) over the summer. When doing research into what to buy to get started, I had heard a lot of people recommend Miyuki or Toho brands for seed beads. The first bead store I went to only had Miyuki, and I bought a ton of colors and made many beautiful earrings. I tried out a different bead store a month ago and they only had Toho beads. I’m not going to walk out of a bead store without buying any beads (obviously), so I bought a handful of small tubes (~8-9g each). I’ve finally started working with them, and wow, they are driving me crazy. They are such inconsistent sizes! And not only that, but I’m finding that ma...

Seeking advice and input for my girlfriend learning to decenter men, broadly but especially sexually

34m ago

Hi everyone, I'm a 27yo cishet man who's been a member of this sub for a good few years now (on throwaway acc), as I'm always wanting to have a broad understanding of people, including the perspectives and experiences of ***** women. My personal circles of family, friends, and my partner consists of like 85% women (I did a rough calculation lmao), so I guess you can see the connection. I wanted to post here because the topic at hand is something I've had the most exposure with from communities like this one. It made sense for me to go back to a place where I learned the most about a topic to ask more about it. I had a conversation with my girlfriend L, a 28yo cis ?het w...

An Awful Christmas Song

36m ago

I heard this song very often when I worked in retail a few short years ago, and recently heard it again in a store while doing some Christmas shopping. I do not have the track so I'll describe it as best I can. A man and a woman are singing together. The beat is pretty fast and honestly comes close to Eurobeat. It opens with lots of bells. The only words I know in the chorus are "Christmas Day," and then when the chorus ends a harmonica or synthesizer solo starts playing that is so hilariously off-key and out of place it's wild. I need my wife to experience this trash with me. Please help. EDIT: Found it. "I Was Born on Christmas Day" by Saint Etienne.

This is good for a pc that is $530
