BEST BUY Locations

So I decided to buy MK1 today for the PS5. Because I’m “old school” and enjoy having physical copies of games, I purchased MK1 at Best Buy for $21. “Not bad”, I thought. I then proceeded to purchase the DE upgrade from the PS Store. Mind you, the Store only lets me see/purchase the upgrade because I already own the base game. The upgrade was $59.99. But if I’d not already had my (physical) copy of the base game, I could have purchased the entire MK1 DE game for $20.99. In other words, it seems that I spent additional $60 just to have a physical copy. What am I missing? Why wouldn’t the price of the DE upgrade be at least reduced to the cost of the entire DE game?

I’m not going to be doing gaming. Looking for a tower for wfh. Mostly just PDFs and multiple excel windows and a web browser. Right now, I’m using a laptop I got 4 years ago. Thinkpad L15 with 32gb ram and Ryzen Pro 7. But it’s been giving me lots of problems. BSODs, completely locking up on black screen requiring me to use the reset pinhole, and so on. Since I’m 95% WFH these days, I figure a tower will be better, and I can hang on this laptop or grab a cheap $500 one for the 5% that I need to travel. So I have a pretty annoying situation. I pre-ordered FH6 for my Series X from BestBuy and didn't get any pre-order bonus code/entitlement code on my receipts or in my email. This all started because I asked my friend what oled monitor he has because I was curious. He then told me about the monitor and also found an excellent-condition open-box for $456. He told me, and I bought it after thinking about it for an hour. At first, I was skeptical because I've heard bad stories of online open-box items. My promo copy of Shadow of the Colossus arrived today. When Sony gave out copies to store managers at Best Buy, GameStop/EB Games, Sony’s Internal Developers, and the press, they would put a hole punch on the UPC label. You can actually feel the hole punched out. They did this to ensure managers, developers and reviewers did not take the game and try to return it to a store or trade it in for cash or store credit. When you send it in for grading they also identify it as a promo copy on the grading label. The shrink wrap isn’t in the best of shape but I’m glad to have it in the collection. 🤘
