I’ve got roughly £30k saved and I’m thinking about using an interest-only mortgage for my first property. We redid our kitchen about 12 years ago, but we are going to have several more cabinets added for a pantry area (this is not a walk-in pantry, just some extra floor-to-ceiling cabs that are 12 inches deep, 48 inches wide, for extra storage).
