I need to buy a Murphy bed that doesn’t require wall installation, and the two options I’m deciding between are: a horizontal fold-out and a tri-fold, cabinet-style Murphy bed. Obviously I know neither option is going to be perfect or as good as a genuine bed, but I have to make the best of my current living situation (and limited budget - $700 or less!). Is one option significantly more comfortable than the other? I’m leaning towards a fold-out, because I would imagine a complete mattress (even if it’s only 8”) would be less prone to move and slide during the night. Plus, I could always add on a mattress topper once it’s folded out. Any thoughts appreciated!
