17 for 995 usd or 17 air for 970 usd?

24m ago

I need a recommendation. I live in a region with no Apple Stores, and due to local pricing, the **17** and **17 air** cost almost the same. Which one should I buy given my usage? * **Daily use:** Very light. I work from home, so the phone is mostly idle. * **Heavy use:** Only during travel (approx. 3 times a year).

I Should've Never Opened Safe Deposit Box 13

24m ago

Hey all, first post in the sub and first story I've really put out for others but I had some spare time and an idea so I thought why not post it here with these great stories. Thanks for taking the time to read and stay creeped. **I Should’ve Never Opened Safe Deposit Box 13….**[]() **I had always thought I had felt the absolute epitome of boredom before in my life. Waiting hours in a line, nearly falling asleep in college classes for 4 years, and long plane rides in the middle seat all tested my resolve to its breaking point. None of those have come close to what I’ve been through so far at my new job here at the local bank in this sleepy Minnesota town. The freezing temperatu...

How I would do my adventures with Superman Season 2 while still staying true to the show and DC in general

25m ago

Season 2 will remain mostly the same here are some changes I would make if I don't mention you can assume it's the same as canon or just adding the 4 additional episodes. whether it's for worldbuilding more reasons for Clark and Lois insecurities using the villains from Season 1 better pacing etc. Brainiac is instead replaced with the Eradicator I love Brainiac but I want to give more underutilized villains the spotlight. Brainiac already has movies SAS Injustice 2 Justice League Unlimited etc. The Eradicator only had Regin of Supermen which I didn't like. Episode 1. More things in Heaven and Earth The same however Atomic skull appears here instead of Damage who appe...

USA - Timeshare sales pitches and scammer playbooks have way more in common than people realize

26m ago

I’m not a timeshare owner, but a buddy of mine owns Marriott Vacation Club points and regrets the purchase. I got curious about timeshares and was frankly pretty horrified by what I learned. Then I read *Anatomy of a Con Artist* by Johnathan Walton — and the “red flags” he describes sounded *exactly* like what timeshare salespeople do. Here are a few examples: 1. “I just want to help.” Con artists act like your new best friend. Timeshare reps do the same — they learn about your life and dreams, pretend they care deeply, and insist they’re “saving” you from high hotel prices and helping you “make memories” with your family. Rather than being clear about what they&#...

Something Ominous Is Happening in the AI Economy

26m ago

#The last time so much wealth was tied up in such obscure overlapping arrangements was just before the 2008 financial crisis. By Rogé Karma, The Atlantic. Avcompany that most people have never heard of is among the year’s best-performing technology firms—and a symbol of the complex, interconnected, and potentially catastrophic ways in which AI companies do business these days. CoreWeave’s IPO in March was the largest of any tech start-up since 2021, and the company’s share price has subsequently more than doubled, outperforming even the “Magnificent Seven” tech stocks. On Wall Street, CoreWeave is regularly referred to as one of the most important companies powering the AI re...

Advice for a nice PC aesthetics upgrade (and platform)

I will be upgrading over to AM5. This will require a stronger & bigger AIO liquid cooler. Because I will need a new case for it, I decided I would be redoing the aesthetics as well. **Main questions:** 1. What should I get as a new white case? (Im thinking Hyte Y70) 2. White or black motherboard when GPU is black? 3. Which fans and how many? (account for 360 radiator on top, and the airflow directions you'd recommend) 4. Should I get cable extensions? Which? ...

Complete beginner looking for best crypto exchange - what should I actually use in 2025?

26m ago

I've been wanting to get into crypto for months but keep putting it off because I honestly have no idea where to start. Every time I google "best crypto exchange" I get like 50 different recommendations and half of them contradict each other. I'm not a trader or tech expert - just want to buy some Bitcoin and maybe Ethereum to hold long term. Planning to start with around $300-400 and see how it goes. Main things I care about: easy to understand interface, safe/regulated so my money doesn't disappear, reasonable fees, and works with US banks. I'm with Bank of America if that matters. **Coinbase** seems like the beginner default from what I can tell. Everyone sa...

existential crisis

27m ago

I relized that i probably won't ever be anything more then a ordinary guy. There is a reason why it's called the 1%, i probably won't ever be the top 1%, i don't want to be just some another construction site worker who liver paycheck to paycheck (No **** to anyone that lives like that and if it offended you I'm terribly sorry). I want a modern house, a cool sports car, i want to be admired and for some kid to look at me and say "I want to be like him" but i didn't with the genetic lottery I'm not pretty or athletic. I'm definitely not smart so i won't be some inventor. I tried weed that halped because all these thoughts just went on the...

sm from ****

27m ago

long rant ahead but like is it a requirement to be just a complete a hole to be a sm? my sm has been borderline picking on me for this entire week that i feel like i have to go to the district manager to see if anything can be done. yesterday we had a big visit in our store, i get that like everyone has to be in their best behavior, i have always done my best in previous jobs when important visits happen. yet yesterday, my sm, all she did was nitpick everything i was apparently doing wrong to the point she pulled me to the side and had me read our 5 key points to customer servicing on the whiteboard aloud to her (literally felt like a humiliation ritual) and telling me that she was told i wa...

12/11/2025 Best Deals at Different Price points Still available

28m ago

Update to a previous post. I'm going to bold and italicize MicroCenter deals as a quick way to differentiate as not everyone has access to those stores. These prices and availability are as of 8am Pacific time, 12/11/25. ***1. $1000 - Microcenter - PowerSpec G527 - Ryzen 5 7500X3D, RX 9060 XT 16GB, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD. This is still one of, if not the best deals out there IF you live near a MicroCenter. It is true that there are more powerful GPUs out there, but the 16GB 9060 XT (and 16 GB 5060 Ti) is a very capable GPU and paired with this CPU with 32 GB RAM is just an incredible deal.*** [***https://www.microcenter.com/product/698874/powerspec-g527-gaming-pc***](https://www.microcent...

Sensible IPTV pointers

28m ago

Here’s some thoughts for those out there looking for an IPTV service: 1) Popular or well-known usually isn’t the best option. Definitely don’t go with those that are advertising openly on Reddit. Those you can find on G2G or other similar portals are usually overloaded as well. Ask around about good services. 2) Try before you buy. Most good services will offer you a trial. 3) When buying, start small eg. 1 month. See if you really like it. Treat it like dating. 4) When you finally commit, don’t treat it like marriage. IPTV services can go down on a dime, your ISP could start blocking your service etc. Subscribe for a length of time that you can afford to lose. GOOD LUCK!

How Do You Know When You've Validated Enough to Start Building?

30m ago

Validation is where most side projects go to die. Not because people skip it — but because they get stuck in it. Endless surveys. "Just one more interview." Months of research that feel productive but ship nothing. I've seen it from both sides. As a product leader, I've watched companies burn millions building things nobody wanted. As a founder, I've caught myself "validating" for weeks when I was really just avoiding the scary part — putting something real in front of people. Here's what I've learned about validation that actually moves you forward: **Validation isn't about certainty. It's about reducing risk enough to take the ...

New to this - need advice

30m ago

I'm getting my son a jailbroken ps3 for Christmas but based on my research I've heard it's better to do it yourself. I've been researching over 2 days straight and it's so much to take in. I found a cheap PS3 slim that doesn't need hen but I want to download Nintendo, Xbox, N64 and Super Nintendo games. I know it's possible because I've seen it before but I don't have the guys contact info otherwise I'd be giving him a call lol. I would just really appreciate advice from someone with experience. Should I just buy one for about $300 or is that too risky? And if I do it myself does it matter which model PS3 I buy? I read I would have to downl...
