The rootstock is an opuntia ficus indica seedling that I grew from large green prickly pear fruit that I got from the grocery store and the scion is opuntia microdasys (Bunny ears cactus). They are both prickly pear varieties so I'm expecting this one to do well. I think I might have a monstrose variety of the microdasys, so I'm quite excited to see how this one grows.

Accidentally bought these artisan dinner rolls once because they were in the gluten free section of my grocery and my own fault I didn't read them and trusted the store. I can get ube root from a local Asian grocery store - I have made my own halaya, but are there recipes for homemade ube extract? I see a few threads here and there when searching online, and have made extracts from dried herbs/flowers before, but I’m not sure if trying to use fresh ube root would work, since the moisture content would affect the end result.
