Alice Romanov , goddess of chaos and Goddess of Wonderland.4h ago(Ghost in the shell , nightmare , universe). It sounds like you're envisioning a high-stakes "what if" scenario where \*\*The Laughing Man\*\* (Aoi) returns to the grid long after the events of the first season of \*Stand Alone Complex\* and the philosophical shift seen in \*Innocence\* (the second movie). In the timeline you're describing, the world has moved past the "Stand Alone" incidents, but the digital ghost of Aoi—the ultimate hacker who "disappeared into the light"—is finally resurfacing. Here is a POV breakdown of what that return might look like from three different perspectives: \### POV: Motoko Kusanagi (The Major) \*\*Location:\*... 14 Days trip to japan6h agoHello Everyone, I am a Muslim Solo traveler. Konbini food recs for someone with severe nut allergy?7h agoI'm going to Japan, specifically Tokyo, in 3 days and I'm staying for a little over 2 weeks! I have a severe nut allergy to peanut and tree nuts where i get anaphylaxis if I eat them. I am going to have epipens with me and also allergy card. But I want to know if there are any specific food items at 7 eleven or family mart that is safe for me to eat when in need. I've tried to google it but i can't really find that much information on it. I also love sweets and trying new things so I'm hoping I can still have a good time in that regard. Any recommendations? Anyone that has any experience with dealing with a nut allergy in Japan? Bad experience diving in Philippines17h agoI want to share an experience related to a medical issue after diving in Alona Beach (Philippines), because I think it may be useful for other divers. I also hope to learn from everything that happened and would genuinely like to hear the perspective of more experienced divers — I don't want to stay closed off in my own limited view of things. After several days of recreational dives within no-deco limits, I started noticing a strange sensation of "ascent" or floating, especially when lying down, along with dizziness and an unusual vestibular feeling. The first day it happened I let it go. The next day I went back to diving because I felt completely fine, but when I got ba... WTF is up with leaders of organisations in Australia lately?!19h agoSo we’ve been seeing various news articles lately about yet another failure or controversy in corporate governance in Australia. It got me wondering just how wide-scale the issue is, so I ran a few searches and compiled a list of recent publicly reported issues related to problems of governance and leadership. As you’ll see below, the results are pretty shocking. Scan over this list and you get the feeling that there is a pattern of bad behaviour. This isn’t just a short mention of few issues here and there. This is a ****** long list. Clearly, there seems to be some sort of behavioural tension where, occasionally, a few people get appointed to governance roles and don’t \*want\* ... Are there any other Zillennials (born from 1994 to 1999) on this sub? I'm wondering if there are people my age who ...22h ago**NOTE:** The most widely used birth years according to the [r/Zillennials](https://www.reddit.com/r/Zillennials/) subreddit are 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999. Should I escape from a weekend date with a rich man?1d agoM24. I yesterday came to the city for a "weekend date" with a man (M25) I met on Tinder. We live in different cities, so this was most sensible way to meet travel time wise. He's very sweet. I love his looks, love his extrovertedness, love his taste in food, his taste in music – a long list of things to love about him. I'm confident that he sees good things about me. I try to think about the positive things. I knew he'd be better off than me because he's recently graduated doctor and I'm still a liberal arts student. But the past 24h has been a huge ride in social classes; I've learned that he comes from a family of doctors and CEO's, he owns ... PNWest's Dirty Demerit Dispatch (5/8)2d agoHi gang! Hope that you all had a good week. It's Friday and time for another Dirty Demerit Dispatch. It's always good to see what is going on behind the scenes of the local eateries. Let's get it going...   -----------------------   ##**The NICE list** First up is **The NICE list**. These are the places that had ZERO violations. They are really doing a good job at keeping their kitchens clean. These places are going all out to do things right and they deserve your support. Japan’s 7-Eleven food is "good for a convenience store," but the internet hype has reached a level of pure d...2d agoi’ve spent a decent amount of time in japan recently and the way people talk about the konbini food online is just wild. like yeah, the egg sando is decent and the onigiri is fine for a quick snack, but i’ve seen people unironically saying it’s 'the best food in the country.' it’s literally mass-produced convenience food. if you’re skipping a local kissaten or a small ramen shop to eat at a 7-eleven because a tiktoker told you to, you’re doing it wrong. it’s not a 5-star meal, it’s just better than the sad sandwiches we have back home in the west. the obsession is starting to feel like a collective hallucination at this point. Late October 2025: 13 Days in Korea (Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan & Jeju)3d agoIn mid/late October last year, we spent just under 2 weeks travelling around South Korea, spending time in Seoul, Gyeongju, Busan and Jeju Island. We picked the time of year hoping to get some sun but not too much heat (definitely succeeded) and thought we might be lucky to see the leaves turning red & golden, but we were slightly early for that. Pretty much every day was clear skies and sunny except for one rainy day in Gyeongju which we enjoyed anyway. # Seoul Part 1 (3 nights) We started with 3 nights at **The Shilla Seoul**. We had flown from London with Qatar Airways via Doha, a long 16-hour journey compared to flying direct, but we had air miles to use. At ICN it took about a... Q: Suvarnabhumi Domestic Terminal convenience stores (bottled milk)3d agoHi everyone! We will be arriving at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) around 7:00 AM on an international flight, then after immigration and collecting our bags we will be re-checking in for a domestic flight to Chiang Mai at 1:30 PM. ( Thai Airways ) We are traveling with an 11-month-old baby and wanted to ask specifically about the DOMESTIC terminal/departure area after we re-check our bags. Then head onwards Are there any: \- 7-Eleven stores \- convenience stores \- or shops/cafes that sell bottled Meiji milk or other bottled milk/yogurt for babies? Could anyone clarify what is available: \- BEFORE domestic security check and \- AFTER domestic security check near the gates/waiting area?... Folks let’s pretend to be shocked4d agoSo The Washington Post editorial board wrote an article about grocery stores in the wards, and their biggest takeaway was something anyone with a functioning brain could have told you: when people steal from businesses and the government refuses to prosecute, those businesses eventually take their money and go somewhere else where this is not a problem. You do not have to be a genius to figure this out. The people who get hurt the most are the people who live in these communities and rely on these stores. When you have bad governance and bad policy, what do you think the outcome is going to be? If you have ever been toward Wards 7 or 8, and I have many times, it is not a pleasant place to ... House Farm Bill Cuts $187B from SNAP Through 2034 -- NGA/FMI Analysis Shows $1.6B Revenue Hit to Food Retailers4d agoThe House passed a Farm Bill with $187B in cuts to SNAP through 2034, and the downstream impact on food retailers is now quantified. A joint analysis from NGA, FMI, and NACS projects $1.6B in total revenue impact across food retail, with $305M hitting supermarkets and $1B falling on convenience stores. Ongoing annual costs are estimated at $759M per year. The numbers break down differently depending on your channel. C-stores absorb the largest absolute hit because SNAP transactions represent a higher share of their total sales. Supermarkets take a smaller absolute number but face operational costs from compliance requirements, particularly the provision that forces states with error rates a... They actually removed lying customer review6d agoLied to get free food saying never received when I know I took a picture. Funny thing is I think they even left $2 tip…I asked customer service to get rid of it which I think they just did…it was affecting my quantity and quality of orders like slower longer wait time and low tip like $0-2 only… Does 7-Eleven not have their burgers anymore?7d agoThey used to have some of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had. I’ve been to at least 10, 7 elevens in the past 2 weeks and they never have burgers. I asked and they never understand. They still have their half food like pizza, breakfast sandwich, sandwiches, and chicken sandwich sandwiches just no burgers exactly 2 months all in today, and I got my period back8d agoNo exercise. No elegant macro plan. No wellness-girl recovery arc. Just me hoarding every bakery surprise bag on the Too Good To Go app. I’m about 20 lbs up now, and looking back at old photos… yeah. My body was not being dramatic. I needed it. ***** and *** are back. I’m sleeping through the night again. My skin looks better. I’m warm again. And today my uterus finally decided to rejoin the workforce. A few weeks ago I made a post joking that my recovery was basically being powered by Tiff’s Treats, frozen yogurt, and 7-Eleven pizza because apparently my body had no interest in balanced macros and only wanted warm cookies. Apparently, she knew what she was doing. One period ... Feb 2026 Solo Trip Report: 18 Days in Tokyo, Lake Shikotsu, Sapporo8d agoFor my first major solo international trip, I spent 7 nights in Tokyo, 2 nights at Lake Shikotsu, 5 nights in Sapporo, and 3 nights back in Tokyo. I last visited Japan almost 10 years ago (Tokyo/Hakone/Osaka) with friends. I planned this trip for over a year, as I got more and more burnt out at work. So I wanted to eat curiously and deliciously, find peace wherever I could, and celebrate being a tiny happy blip on the other side of the world from home. I hope this trip report will be helpful for fellow overthinking solo introverts with a bit of social anxiety and misophonia. I included any stressful situations/mistakes. I got through them, and everything was okay. Tips and takeaways at the ... The most boring travel destination I’ve ever visited is Taiwan9d agoYes, the people are friendly, but everything else is the worst. Taiwan was such a letdown. I visited Taitung and Kaohsiung, and the scenery was honestly underwhelming. Xiaoyeliu is just a tiny, mediocre patch of rocks, nothing impressive at all. Right next to it is a so-called "Marine Reserve" that’s a total joke, it’s just a 100-meter stretch of water with a few tiny fish, it felt like a complete scam. The streets are dull and lack any vibe, no street food, and everything shuts down by 8 PM. It was incredibly boring and lifeless. I don't want to make comparisons, but anyone who has been to China will be deeply disappointed when visiting Taiwan. The landmarks and night str...
