Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Whataburger Store Latest Community Discussions About Whataburger StoresWhat are the most goated fast food items from any chain?12d agoI intentionally don’t eat fast food very often, but I absolutely love it on my cheat days. When I do go, I want to make sure I’m getting the best things places have to offer My close friends have told me some must get items are Chick-fil-A chicken minis, Panda Express cream cheese rangoons, the Whataburger patty melt, and Ocean Water from Sonic. I’m talking about those specific menu items that are just elite. What are some of your favorite singular fast food items from anywhere? Could be any chain, any drink, any side, anything. Just the one thing that place absolutely nails. Journeys In Junk, 2025 (warning: long)13d agoI wrote down every junk/fast food item I tried in 2025, and can remember what I thought of all of them...sorry if this post is too long, but I did one last year and the results were good. **SODAS:** Wild Cherry & Cream Pepsi: Very good, I'm grateful you can still, so far, get this in can form. I remember being lukewarm about Cherry Vanilla Pepsi 15 years ago (or whenever it was), but this seems to be a better recipe! My five-star soda list is only Vanilla Coke, Dr Pepper & Cream Soda, Vernor's Ginger Soda, Pepsi and Pepsi Soda Shoppe Cream Soda Cola, but this is a handy four out of five. Orange Cream Coke: I'm not quite sure this is *exactly* the same thin... Does anybody else feel like the timers aren't accurate when it comes to cooking product?17d agoSo it started off with whatachickens and spicies needing to be cooked for extra time to hit temp. now I feel like the timers for large meat aren't really accurate on the grill. Sometimes I feel like I need to cook the meat for a full 30 seconds longer in order for it to be properly cooked through. Is following the cook timer supposed to be our procedure? Or are the Cook timers just a loose guidelines and ultimately we're supposed to use thermometers? Don't even get me started on the grilled chicken. every time we're holding on grilled chicken it seems like people are waiting 15 minutes to get their food. what's up with that? Whataburger opened nearby. What's worth trying?20d agoKinda pricy stuff here. Was here in the morning and grabbed the chicken biscuit and enjoyed it. Any of the burgers worth a shot at least once? I recall the Jolly chl enjoyed the melt. edit: got a patty melt and large onion rings. Good stuff! not sure it was worth $16+, but you do get a decent amount of food though. Fast Food Tiers - East Coast based24d agoLive in the Mid-Atlantic area but have traveled across the US for work a good bit over the last decade+ RIP Quiznos and their chicken carbonara sandwich, my favorite fast food guilty pleasure. They closed all the locations anywhere near us a while ago but still find them when traveling once in a while. Fast Food Tier List1!1!!132d ago# Elite * A&W: A&W is my favorite fast food restaurant ever. If I was dying on death row and they said, "You have one more meal," that meal would be a Papa Burger combo with an extra-large root beer and probably one of those medium polar swirls. * Culver's: Culver's is right up there with A&W neck and neck. That's King Kong versus Godzilla right there. * Texas Roadhouse: This place bangs. Don't even get me started on the ******* bread either. For like $16 I can go get a steak, a loaded baked potato, and then either a Caesar salad or a cup of delicious chili. * Popeye's: They have the best spicy chicken sandwich in the world right no... Branching Out Again45d agoI thought I’d catalog all the foods I try again almost a year after diagnosis. These are foods that are iffy because of their carb content that expected to lead to high numbers but stayed within a normal post-prandial range, or at least close to it (under 140). Assume all foods listed were eaten after cruciferous vegetables (most usually a salad but sometimes a small platter of dippable veggies like zucchini and cucumber), were eaten after or before 40-60 of walking, or both, unless specified otherwise. This list will not include meals consumed with alcohol. I was diagnosed Feb 4 2025 at age 33 and at roughly 240ish pounds, a1c 11.x. Today is Jan 31 2026, I am 34 and weighed 190 at my las... Days 1-100 Review - Data Table for Fast Food/Casual restaurant reviews46d agoHi all, yesterday I posted a chart with my subjective ratings of visiting fast food/casual restaurants for Days 1 through 100. And now, here's some more granular information, in table format! Included in the table below, is a list of each restaurant, how many chain locations they have (and in how many states those locations are located), and where their headquarters are located (which may be different from where the restaurant was founded). Note that this not include international (for me that means non-US) locations, which for some chains can be quite substantial. The "2025 US$ chain rank" comes from the Technomics 2025 Top 500" report for restaurants, where the r... Days 1-100 Review Summary: Fast Food Review first 100 days46d agoBetter late than never, but here's a very quick graph to show my personal rankings for the 100 fast food/fast casual places I have visited in the first 100 days. Left to right: Quality of meal (from worst to best) Bottom to top: Value of meal i.e. "bang for the buck" (from worst to best) This is based on a single meal on a single visit, so there may be some cases where that one meal was ranked poorly. For a handful of places on the lower end of the chart that I KNOW can do better (such as Popeye's Dairy Queen, LJS, Freebird's, etc), I am contemplating a second "do over" visit to re-rank. There will be a separate post to this one, that will list in ... What’s with the hype?57d agoI’m not coming at this from a place of bad faith, but I live in North Carolina, I have given Whataburger three chances, and I have been disappointed all three times. For me, it’s not really the food, though the chicken was kind of mid when I visited the second time, but rather the completely disorganized service. Whataburger definitely is the type of restaurant to where speed should be the goal, the quality of the food is better than the average fast food place like McDonald’s, so if they can get your food out in like five minutes, I would consider this to be top notch. I think they do the double drive-through concept completely wrong. Look at Chick-fil-A, or Cookout. I waited for over... I tried your recommendations67d agoHey guys! Im back home after a month in Arkansas, and wanted to leave a bit of review of all the joints I tried based on your recommendations. First of all, I gotta say, the hospitality in all the places, not just the diners but in generally EVERYWHERE was so ******* nice, we couldnt believe it. Everybody was kind and happy to talk to us. This is something we dont really experience at home, so thank you Arkansas! I will try to only rate the food because the places and employees were all great. So lets see: Bensons Grill, Fort Smith 5/5 We ordered the mount chilimanjaro and big mama sandwiches and the cheescake. Boy, it was heavy stuff, I felt full hours after leaving still. Delicious mou... Whataburger is better than In-N-Out71d agoThere, I said it. Whataburger is a better restaurant than In-N-Out. We just got an In-N-Out last month in my town. I’ve been there three times, the food is good. The burgers are the big selling point. The fries are decent if you get them cooked light well. I still think that Whataburger is better. The fries are much better when they’re cooked right. Plus you have more options, the spicy chicken sandwich, you can get breakfast. The main thing that keeps Whataburger back, is the customer service and how long the food takes sometimes. If they had the customer service of In-N-Out, I think Whataburger would be more well liked by people. I think that the burgers at both places are about equa... What's your extra condiment setup like71d agoDo you keep packets of random sauce in case the customer needs them? Do you keep them in case it was in the instructions and you fckd up? So, I picked up this raising Cane's order and I'm halfway to the customer's house when she hits me with the ketchup thing.. I said I didn't get extra ketchup and that I didn't get any ketchup. She said her kids can't eat chicken without ketchup.. This is a conversation that went back and forth and by now I'm pulled over to the side of the road about a half a block from her house Fielding these back and forth ridiculous pleas. I finally asked her if she wanted this order or not because I could get it canceled.. While I... Does The "Tough Guy" Persona Matter Anymore? Or Is It All An Empty Facade?77d agoAlright Midcarders, today we’re asking the question: does it even matter anymore? Does the tough guy facade in wrestling still mean anything at all, or has exposure in the modern world done real lasting harm to the credibility of pro wrestling and the pro wrestlers within it? We live in an era where the "curtain" hasn't just been pulled back; it’s been shredded. Back in the day, if a wrestler lost a real fight, they lost their spot. But in the 2010s and 2020s, we’ve seen some of the "baddest" guys on the planet get absolutely humbled in the real world. As a prime example, Jon Moxley is the poster child for the modern "unhinged brawler" on AEW But i... FFG is back with an end of year free food roundup! Do chicken items show differently than Burger items for employees working on the food line?79d agoJust wondering because I've ordered at multiple different locations and I've never had a problem getting a custom made burger, but when I order a chicken sandwich made special (add cheese and mayo) they almost never add the custom ingredients to the chicken sandwich. Even when I order them both at the same time, the custom burger is always right and the custom chicken sandwich is almost always wrong. Title: My sperm donor invalidates my food aversions and demands I eat things I can't stomach.84d agoFor context, I (24M) I’ve struggled with food aversions since age 2 (July 2003), especially when it comes to fruits and vegetables. My “sperm donor” (I don't consider him a real father figure) is well aware of this, but still insists that I should just “eat vegetables” because "they're good for you." He knows full well that these foods make me gag, but he treats it like a moral failure instead of an actual issue. My safe foods are very limited—mostly comfort foods like fried chicken, French fries, burgers (with ketchup only), birthday cake, grilled chicken sandwiches from Whataburger (ketchup only), cheese or pepperoni pizza, and snacks like Goldfish crackers... 🛡︠Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
