Moving to MD for a job. Have to live in Maryland to avoid COLA impact for my partner and will need to commute to Newark, DE. We are a childfree couple in early 40s, looking for a town that has some amenities (restaurants, movie theaters, a wegmans,/grocery stores, shopping mall etc.) We will be buying a single family home. Looking for recommendations. So far have looked at Elkton, north east, Perryville - all these show high crime rates. Harve de grace looks good, not sure if this is mostly a retirement town. Was at my local Wegmans grocery store today and was just cruising through the beer section when I noticed that Heady Topper and Focal Banger were on the shelves. The clerk said that they had gotten them in yesterday. Has Alchemist started distributing further now? I had no idea that they were even coming to Virginia.

Has anyone heard of a Thanksgiving meal catering service in London? We recently moved into our cute little flat, and I know my British in-laws would love to be invited to an American Thanksgiving dinner, but I cannot bear the thought of trying to prepare it in the tiny kitchen, with inadequate cooking and baking gear. We have prepared a big Thanksgiving meal back home for the last 30 years or so, and honestly, I wouldn’t mind giving it a miss this year, in any case! Obviously it would be different here, but some people I knew in the Philadelphia suburbs were using grocery store catering for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, pre-ordering, then picking up the meal a day or two ahead of time...

Hi all have you encountered a different price when placing an order and receiving the order? Last night I placed a Wegmans grocery orders (and they had a 30% discount on most items every Tuesday) and the app showed me a $2 discount for scheduled delivery on Wednesday. I scheduled for this morning but when I received the order I saw neither store discount nor $2 discount applied. Online chat agent kept asking me for a screenshot of the promotion which didn't exist... I know most grocery prices have a 15% markup on ubereats and wouldn't have ordered if discount cannot be applied (I live 10 min away from the store) Should I just wait till next Tuesday to show them the store price...

From Canada. My wife and I visited this week. Such a beautiful place. We really enjoyed Taughannock SP with its views of the falls. Back in town we walked around the gorge near the university. The properties, views and architecture around there are amazing. Also the farms in the surrounding countryside are just spectacular in their postcard settings. We also tried to walk out to the lighthouse in Stewart Park but the skies were turning stormy black so we had to abort. Made it back to the car just in time. Not sure if you can walk way out to the lighthouse or not? We were going to walk around downtown but decided not to, it looked like it was just bars and student cafes when looking at Apple ...

Good tuna belly ain’t cheap, and this ventresca from Ortiz is quite good. And because of whatever mysterious reasons spur the Wegmans grocery chain into merciless action, this tuna is exiting their shelves. They were marked 50% Off, down to $8.96 south of the James River, and $8.29 on the north bank. Why the price difference? No danged idea. Still, half off is my kinda price, and I bought what they had. Today I woke feeling a bit puny. So plain, quality tuna was calling to me. I plated pickled red onions and some slices of hatch chile cheddar, but in the end it was largely just baguette and ventresca. And a mug of weak, milky tea. My tummy thanked me.

For lunch: French baguette, mayo, turkey, prosciutto, hot suppressetta, honey mustard, roasted red peppers,jalapeño cheddar cheese, lettuce tossed in balsamic vinegar, and sandwich oil. Dinner: Sliced a couple sirloin steaks up, marinated in some balsamic vinegar and heavy worcestershire sauce for a couple hours. Grilled it up on a skillet. Used the rest of the baguette, mayo, honey mustard, jalepeno cheddar, red peppers, and oil. Shared with some family for dinner.It was a great food day! Most items bought at local Wegmans grocery store. Wegmans is awesome for great sandwich supplies!

Wegmans on Doordash has two pick up types Wegmans shop and pay and WegmansToGo where you just go to the catering pick up counter. Twice today I've accepted double WegmansToGo offers. About to drive to the store and it is infact one ToGo and then a 50 plus shop and pay. Unethical not playing their games completion rate down 4% today.

Okay even a brief scan of this Reddit thread has taught me that I have not been super economical with my soda stream cannisters. Lessons learned! Today’s shop was more of a pick out random things that we might want to try than a regular grocery shopping trip. I usually shop at Aldi, but I wanted to try something different. I feel like I went overboard on some snacks though, I usually only get fruit as snacks.
