We have been Amazon Prime customers for many years and now also have Walmart+. For a long time Walmart was playing catch-up to Amazon. Today I find Walmart to be doing a better job in price and fulfillment for everyday items. For example, just now I needed a box of AAA batteries. Amazon had their branded batteries 20 for around $9. Walmart had Rayovac 36 for $11. FYI: my friend who managed a battery factory says all alkaline batteries are essentially the same. Walmart shipping for these batteries is one-day; Amazon 2 days. My wife has always been a target person and I never really questioned it. The stores are nice, quality seems good, convenient location. But I started looking at our household spending recently and decided to actually verify if we're overpaying. I compared charges on twenty items we buy regularly. Household basics like paper towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, laundry stuff, toiletries. Walmart store brand was cheaper on fifteen out of twenty items, sometimes by a significant margin. Walmart work phones have custom Walmart branded grip cases on them with the spark logo. I thought the case looked and felt familiar, and I wanted to see if Walmart got cases from someone infringing on the microdot patent, when lo and behold the cases are dbrand. I got laid off multiple times in jobs which I felt were in my area of strengths because companies are sending jobs to India and laying off everyone that doesn't have a ridiculous level of experience, but I can't do other jobs just to get a paycheck anymore because I keep quitting them.
