I am from the USA, I am moving to Ireland soon. I have a house bought, I just need to sell my US one. I have a US market iPhone 12 A2271 with the MMWave 5G glass cutout on the side. With the EU DMA (digital markets act) and this age verification stuff, will I have to verify my age once I use an Irish provider? If it helps, I’d activate on eSIM. I’m 28, have a US credit card that has a zero dollar foreign fee. Just trying to figure this out, for if I should download the Irish carrier apps (Sky Mobile, 3, 48, Vodafone etc) while I’m in the US by switching my App Store region, then switching back to US.

I am with Vodafone in the UK and their only pre-order is the 512GB. This time round I really want the 1TB with the extra RAM. Their customer service are giving different messages. Over 4 calls on different days 2 have, after talking to managers, said it will be available on the 11th but the other two found no sign of it anywhere. One even postulated that if it's not on the system now he couldn't see it ever being sold by Vodafone. My local store are equally information free. I know EE in the UK are doing a preorder but I still have a year of airtime contract with Vodafone, so changing without a buyout isn't an option, before that's suggested. So I have Vodafone Broadband and very happy with it so I decided that I will get the 80 red sim only plan for £10 as well which also gave me a £2 discount on my broadband. All good, Sim arrived already activated and works with no issues. My sister lives in the UK, but she had an Indian mobile number which was originally with Vodafone. During her visit to India in November 2025, she ported the number to Airtel.
