Het gaat om een roodbruine laminaatvloer. Mijn vraag is nu: acrylaatkit of siliconenkit? Where am I going wrong??3d agoMoved house recently and went to wire in the oven but saw this at the cooker outlet? I bought a 45a cooker outlet to attach to the black box in the wall but it’s not fitting? I wired the oven in at my previous place just need help understanding how to fix the plate onto the black box in the wall. Have I got the wrong size somewhere?? Thanks!!! What would u do?4d agoJust thought maybe I'm i over reacting with this or is my gut & intuitions right. Little background of myself that ive worked in public retail for 15 years. 12 years was at The Range (during covid 🙄) and drifting around to Cash & Carrys, Lidl ( which i only lasted my 3 months) and currently at Toolstation. We all know how retail is with theives, staff cant do anything or increasingly the risk off being attacked. I was cashing up as it was a quiet night and thought get ahead of it. Heard the door open, heard alot of footsteps then rusting, shuffling etc. Slide over to look down my counter and staff and looked sscard, frozen and wide eyed. I stood up & checked... Replacing 3 gang 2 way light switch5d agoHello, it’s me again. I’m replacing this light switch and wanted to make sure I’m buying the correct replacement as it has a different code on the bottom interior. I’m wanting to replace like for like as all the other switches and sockets are this brushed steel style by BG. This switch controls three lights: porch, downstairs hall and upstairs hall. Porch is only controlled by this switch, the other two lights have a second switch at the top of the stairs. Looks like the current switch is 20amp so I assume I need to replace with another 20amp although you can also get it in 10amp. Is this the correct one? https://www.toolstation.com/bg-nexus-metal-polished-chrome-switch-20a-16a... Adding pump to unvented hot water cylinder7d agoLooking at adding a universal shower pump to this unvented hot water svstem so I can add a shower in the bath in the main bathroom (just a bath atm) The pump has two inlets (cold and hot) and two outlets (hot and cold), trying to figure out which is which and best place to install it. Something like this model here: https://www.toolstation.com/stuart-turner-monsoon-universal-twin-shower-pump/p61406?store=DF Q1) which pipes are which and why does the cylinder has so many pipes coming out of it, looks like 2 at bottom and one midway plus the inlet at the top Q2) where is best place to put it, thinking left hand side Q3) do I need a top entry S tank flange for this setup if its a universal ... Festoon lights9d agoMy wife really wants festoon lights hung outside. However all the ones I can find have bulky transformer plugs that won’t fit in a standard outdoor socket (the lid won’t close). I’ve found a bg outdoor socket that allows for the transformer but it’s unstitched https://www.toolstation.com/bg-ip66-single-13a-socket-with-large-enclosure/p33435 I could get a ip rated rotary switch and wire it inline but that’s pretty ugly. Anyone got a better solution? Replacement door seals10d agoanybody know where I could find replacement door seals like this? all of the ones from Screwfix/toolstation with brushes seem to be self adhesive, whereas my door has channels to slide the seal into https://preview.redd.it/m86z9mtwzq7g1.jpg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fc004dd8023405abce39faed1cc4883366e6f19 95% of staff at local DIY shops are LGBT, localised phenomenon or wider trend?11d agoobviously not a very serious post, but I'm in the UK and regularly go to local DIY supply stores, mainly Screwfix and Toolstation. I've noticed lately that most of the staff are LGBT. I thought it was interesting because a lot of tradesmen go to these shops and I'd have assumed they were more likely to be homophobes/bigots, but maybe that's my own bias. I was wondering if we're infiltrating the trades world wide or it's just a local thing. If you need to bust a nut - There's no nuts out there that this thing can't . . . bust! SWA Gland Question12d agoEvening folks I'm looking to run some SWA cable outside my house, extending an existing installation to add new outside lights. Currently spec'ing up the materials on screwfix but struggling with the choice of glands and I've not worked with SWA before. There's a version suitable for 11.8mm cable, but its for indoor installations. The cable I was looking at, [https://www.screwfix.com/p/prysmian-694... Impact driver bits?13d agoGot a dewalt brushless cordless 18v impact need to get some pz/ph bits, anyone recommend any good ones ideally from screwfix, toolstation or cef? I was something like a flange connector but screwfix and Toolstation don't sell them making me think no? Do i just buy a 100mm round pipe connector and hose clip the duct to it? Yet Another B&Q is Rubbish Rant (and how I should know better)18d agoSo I had a decent lead time on a little reno and strangely, some items came out cheaper at the Orange Store. My order had 3 marketplace sellers, 1 click and collect and 10 'shipped' by B&Q items. Marketplace stuff… 2 of 3 arrived, the remaining one, well, fool me once cuz I should already know better. I might have cancelled it but who really knows because there's zero comms. Click and collect big shout to the lovely human in Peckham who clearly grabbed it from the shelf and mailed me within 20 minutes. You rock and should be strongly punished for such good service. The woman at the returns desk (from an unrelated order) however had a worrying combination of Union J... Can you buy replacement push plugs for sinks18d agoThis plug has lost its coating and is well past saving. Can you buy replacements of just this part (not the whole system)? I've searched Screwfix/Toolstation/Amazon/etc and can't find anything similar. (I know the underside looks grubby in the photo but it's just where/how the coating has come away.) Methylated spirit in 3 step chain waxing?20d agoBefore waxing a chain, after the deep clean stage with white spirit it's advised to use methylated spirit to remove any leftover residue before the actual waxing stage. I can only find methylated spirits with the purple die added (I am in the UK) rather than the clear stuff - is this OK from the likes of screwfix/toolstation or is there a better alternative? Sink waste replacement23d agoOur sink waste has rusted out (the thread on the trap not the bolt ). I can only seem to find wastes that are shorter than the original one by about 1.5cm (the black in eif first photo). The smallest extener I can seem to find is 42mm so how would you fit this new waste. I feel it's going to be too short without and too long with the an extender. The whole sink assembly is all bends and connectors so there is not obvious bit of pipe to cut short anywhere else in the system. I'm a bit confused about how to proceed any help great received. The thin grey is overflow so I have new flexi overflow with the new waste (the black one held up). How to fix this paint?24d agoI’m looking for some advice on what paint to use for a stair bannister/half-wall in the UK. The previous owners painted it, but the finish scuffs and chips really easily (pics attached). Even light contact seems to scrape the paint off, especially on edges and corners. I’d like something that’s: • Durable + hard-wearing • Good for high-traffic areas like bannisters, handrails, trims • Available in the UK (B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation, etc.) • Preferably not too glossy, but I’m open to satin/eggshell if that’s what lasts If you’ve had good long-term results with a particular brand or type (e.g., acrylic trim paint, alkyd, wood/metal paint, multi-surface primers... Gas Hob Installation Non UK nozzle26d agoDoes anyone know how you connect to one of these or a replacement part it? Essentially, I got a gas hob from a German manufacturer that only provides this part. My gas engineer didn't know how to deal with it. I went to toolstation (while he was there) and got this [part](https://www.toolstation.com/made4trade-compression-elbow-female/p26618) but it was leaking alot of gas. One of the online reviews said you need a female to female part which luckily they already had? But provides no details. Essentially, next time the gas engineer comes, I would like to have all the right parts ready and not waste more money trying different parts. I've contacted the manufacturer (and spoke to ...
