Just back from my local Tesco and saw two guys shoplifting a large amount of coffee. I’ve also noticed many shops now have plastic dividers on items like coffee, high end chocolates, detergents, and other cleaning products. These items are expensive but non essential and not something that a single person consumes a lot of so why are they so targeted by shoplifters? Surely there is not a large market for buying these second hand? Just wondering if any one knows what these items are targeted?

looking to get rid of Teflon nonstick pans and go for something safer. i know stainless steel is probably the safest but then there’s other things like ceramic, green pan and now hexclad is all over social media (fronted my the swearing chef). theres a lot of clever marketing claiming each one is the best thing since fried egg, but hard to get any objective view of which is actually worth spending the money on. some of the hexclad pricing is insane and you wonder how much of that is driven by celebrity endorsement as opposed to actual quality of product.
