Does anyone know anyplace in Glasgow, particularly south Lanarkshire or city centre that offers ortho k lenses? Tried looking online but can’t really find anything. Specsavers website says to phone up local stores but just wanted to ask around first before I start calling. Thanks!

I'm considering smart glasses, but want to make sure I am happy with a style that fits my face and ideally try some features (mainly sound quality). But ordering some online and sending them back to try another pair etc seems like agro. I checked Specsavers when I went for my eye test and they didn't have any in store.

I have a mix of daily and weekly contacts all ordered via SpecSavers. The weeklies they originally gave me are the **Precision 7** (manufactured by Alcon) which work well and when I ran out, I popped into the store to order more - all went well, no indication that anything changed. The order of my new weeklies arrived in the mail today and both packages are **Lumiere 7** (also manufactured by Alcon). When I look at Alcon's website they only showcase the Precision 7s options. Hi there, My son went for an eye test at Specsavers for his first pair of glasses in August. We went to the hospital yesterday and the doctor said to stop wearing these glasses immediately as he should only have a plain lens for his right eye. Specsavers put in a +2.5 lens instead. Currently, in NL, if you want your eyes measured for glasses, you only have option to go to these chain stores (Specsavers et al) or independent optometrists. I have been to both and I am sick and tiered of all those pushy sales tactics I have experienced from both. It is like you have been taking with a car or furniture salesman. Has anyone been for an eyetest at Specsavers lately & if so how much were you charged for the test? I paid $60 for a test yesterday. When I mentioned my Community services card & said it stated $30 on their website I was told that was only for test for people 15 years & younger with a csc. ****** it up & paid the 60. A friend went into the same store today & was only charged $30. No mention of a csc as he is a full time worker.
