It is not as salted as how I would have preferred it, but this brought back some childhood memories! 12 pcs for around $7\~ is a good deal in my opinion too! Would buy again! If thats the case, and the box is full, are cars meant to give priority to bikes stuck waiting in the lane when the lights go green? In fact, it's an example of how so many restaurants out there are owned by a relatively small number of holding companies. Einstein Brothers was formed in the eighties from, of all places, Boston Market, and created by combining a number of smaller, regional bagel chains that were basically doing the same things in their own areas. Einstein was bought out by megaconglomerate JAB ... pretslop15d agofun fact pret a manger killed someone by not putting allergen information on their food packaging which led to the creation of Natasha's law Restaurants Desperately Needed in DTSS17d agoWe seriously need some new dining options in Downtown Silver Spring. Coś w stylu, jak kiedyś było w Maku albo jest w Coscie, ale raczej nie w sieciówce. Byłam w kilku miejscach (ostatnio w Mitte) i dostawałam raczej bardziej herbaciane rzeczy, a chodzi mi o coś takiego turbomlecznego. Pret A Manger — worst cappuccino I’ve had in a long time18d agoSo for the first time I tried an iced cappuccino at Pret A Manger in Phoenix Mall, Lower Parel, Mumbai a couple of days back, and wow… that was rough. The coffee was aggressively bitter, watery, and somewhat chalky. It tasted like poorly extracted espresso that sat too long, dumped over ice, then diluted into oblivion. I’m just wondering was it the wrong grind? Old beans? Bad ice? Or is Pret India just winging iced coffee altogether? Has anyone had a good coffee at experience at Pret? Would love to hear if this was a one-off bad cup or if I should permanently avoid Pret for coffee and stick to the usual specialty cafés. Any hidden gems at LAX?22d agoDue to my job, I’ve been traveling a lot lately, and I’ve come to realize that LAX is honestly pretty abysmal for vegans. Several places offer Beyond or Impossible burgers, but when you ask about the buns, they’re not vegan. I’m also not paying $20 for a burger patty wrapped in lettuce. HappyCow has been pretty hit-or-miss at LAX. Some places listed don’t actually seem to have vegan options anymore (maybe they used to?), and others are listed even though the only “option” is a burger that needs a lettuce wrap. I thought HappyCow only listed places with vegan options that don’t require modifications, but maybe that’s changed. I’ve done a bit of a deep dive into which countries own various UK coffee shops, and thought I’d share here in case it’s useful to anyone. This is correct to the best of my knowledge as of today, but please let me know if you spot any errors, or if I’ve missed one of your local coffee shop chains and I can edit the list. I’ve also defined ‘coffee shop’ quite loosely, as “somewhere you might possibly buy coffee”. Thanks! Edited: Thanks for all the comments! I’ve added who owns the US owned companies. It seems there’s some disagreement about Caffé Nero - it’s owned by an American businessman so I originally put it in the US section, but it seems that a lot of... Actually they just opened new franchises in Junkyville and Bumtown35d ago[UPDATE] Traveling as a "sketchy" guy35d agoSo I went on my trip as planned and I wanted to give an update if anyone even cared lol. It turns out that yes I am a big burly man at a distance, yet people still approached me. One of the weirder encounters was at a grocery store in Prague where a white man asked me if I could help him translate something from Czech to English. I was baffled why I'd be one of the people he'd ask, but I had to politely tell him I was having the same issues. At a Pret a Manger in Berlin, I was asked if I worked in the area because I guess I had been going pretty often! Despite the stereotype I have heard about German service, people were very nice to me in Berlin and one guy even remarked ...
