Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Poundland Latest Community Discussions About PoundlandStanley cups ruined casual water bottles4d agoA while ago I was looking for a normal, causal water bottle so I would get into drinking more water as when I have something to drink out of instead of a cup or a glass, it motivates me more. Anyway, I live in the UK and I looked everywhere. Tesco, B&M, Poundland a lot of big chain stores. I couldn’t find quite what I was looking for because everything was in a Stanley cup style. Big, metal cups with metal straws and lids. Nothing plastic like those water bottles you used to have in school or the coloured kids ones where you can squeeze it. I was looking for that kind of style, tall and plastic with a pop up lid which I know B&M used to sell. I looked in there. Stanley sty... Hollywood Cinemas, Anglia Square6d agoHistory is being destroyed. Hollywood Cinemas, formerly Odeon in Anglia Square is being demolished. Ultra rare vintage cinema equipment has been thrown in skips, and the only projector that remains, the Super Zenith 450 will end up in a pile of rubble of the cinema it loyaly served for nearly 50 years. There are only a few of these in the world. This one can project 35mm and 70mm film. The cinema opened with a single mega screen, then in the mid 90s, the screen was split into 3, with new film projectors brought in. In the late 90s, Odeon's lease of the building expired and they moved out to the multiplex in Riverside. A small business, Hollywood Cinemas took over the cinema in the 2000... Moving to the UK? Here’s What I Wish Someone Had Told Me13d agoWhen I first arrived in the UK in September 2025, I quickly realised something that I wish there had been someone who could guide me properly about how things actually work here, what to pack, what not to pack, and what life would realistically look like. Like most students, I watched many YouTube videos and searched online before moving. However, most of the information felt generic. I didn’t want broad advice; I wanted to hear from someone who had recently experienced it all themselves. Before coming, I packed groceries, clothes, medications, utensils, and everything I thought was essential. But honestly, it was only when I returned after my first vacation that I truly understood what ... What chemical do you or those around you use to clean your laptop/PC screen and keyboard (externally)?23d agoAsking here because I've seen isopropyl alcohol recommended, but it's not common in the UK. What could I use from common stores like Asda, Tesco, Poundland, B&M, Savers, PC World or local PC repair shops? I used to use glass cleaner or multipurpose cleaner, but I've read these can do damage. Perhaps a white vinegar spray, sprayed onto a microfibre cloth? What's worked for you? Or maybe you work somewhere and they use a particular common product to clean the computers? Store shuts down27d agoI found this at the poundland store in the UK today, your new best friend Flowery33d agoFirst the Gaster hands on halloween, and now Flowey. I finally took the time to compile all of my spending data during my 36 day trip to Europe this past summer into sankey diagrams, and thought that it would be a helpful frame of reference for anyone looking to plan their budget for a similar trip. The itinerary of places I visited is a little unconventional and not the most efficient, but I'd set out to visit the few cities that held my interest the most instead of staying in one country for the whole trip, since it'll probably be a long time until I visit Europe again. **About me:** * 19F from Canada * Third year university student * My experience of Europe consists of a short family cruise around parts of the UK/ Amsterd... November Earnings Report: £495.01102d agoI have been sharing my earnings reports on here for over a year and it's that time of the month again, so here is how I got on in November. Throughout November, I focused on earnings rather than efficiency and you will note that from my hourly rate being lower than previous months. However, November and December are always busier months for mystery shopping and market research so it's a case of making hay whilst the sun is shining! To try to make this post more helpful, I have added tables for the mystery shopping and market research sections but let me know if this is helpful or not! |Income Source|Income Type|Amount Earned|Time Taken| |:-|:-|:-|:-| |Roamler|Mystery Shopping|£... Deep Value BME.L / LON:BME105d agoTL:DR: (I do not **currently** own shares) B&M European Value Retail looks like a 2-4x bagger. With a current P/E of ~7, the market is pricing in ~24p EPS (171p share), despite current guidance expecting ~26p EPS for the year. New CEO joined in June 2025 (He is well regarded), has purchased £1.4M of shares, and B&M have confirmed future buybacks, and they consistently pay a good dividend. Fair Value based on current (and quite frankly dire) finances indicates a ~100% return in 12-18 months (310p share). **Business Model:** 15% cheaper than regular supermarket / grocery shops (Fast-moving consumer goods) Large range of items ~13,000 Debt doesn’t mature until Nov ... What to Prepare Before Moving Into Coventry Student Accommodation?191d agoMoving to Coventry for uni is super exciting, but it can also be a bit overwhelming, especially when it comes to figuring out what to bring for your student accommodation. Packing too much can be stressful and expensive, while packing too little might leave you scrambling. I've been there, so here's a practical guide for what to prepare before moving in, along with some tips on saving money and time. # First step: Know What Your Accommodation Provides The first thing you need to do is check exactly what your accommodation offers. Not all student housing is the same. Some basic halls only provide the bed, desk, and wardrobe, which means you'll need to buy everything else, ran...
