Hi, I'm 17F and I am currently in sixth form. For my A-Levels, I'm doing Childcare, Health and Social Care and Travel and Tourism. I'll probably get BBB ABB Max lol. I got a B in maths and a C\* in English. My experience doesn't really matter, but I've done 2 months in the Card Factory as a sales assistant in 2024 and 5 months as a barista in Dunelm cafe. I did 2 weeks' worth of placement in a primary and nursery school for my childcare course. For a long time i wanted to be a primary school teacher but i really didnt enjoy the placement which makes me think otherwise. Argos are refusing the return of curtains I purchased because they are not folded exactly how I bought them. I have taken these curtains out, realised the material is cheap and horrible, folded them back up to the best of my ability, yet they are saying the curtains need to be folded as they were bought. I used to work at Dunelm, in the made to measure department. I am pretty good at folding curtains and did the best I could possibly do… do I have grounds to do anything about this or is it tough?

My friend loves Disney world. He fell in love with this table lamp in the resort. You can only get it for a small fortune. Or - I can make it for him! Fair enough it's not going to be wood and brass, just an IKEA lamp base, a Dunelm shade and a 3D printed statue but it's made with care. :)

I’ve noticed quite a few places on Repton Road have gone up for sale recently. There are a couple I’m considering, but the number of listings has made me wonder if there’s a particular reason behind it. Does anyone local know if it’s just coincidence, or if there’s something specific going on? Could it be linked to the new development on Bath Road, or maybe noise/traffic from Go Outdoors and Dunelm at the back? Probably nothing, but would be good to hear from anyone who lives nearby. I've fitted many blinds in the past, all had to be cut down.. but all using the older style brackets to hold them up. I cheat, and normally screw them in to the PVC.. but they always go up well. These friction fit units are not as intuitive. I cut off the recommended amount, but it was too wide.. took a bit more off.. suddenly more narrow? Anyway,.small block of MDF, fine.. but.. if you're walls aren't straight it strains the mech and makes the blind hard to operate. I've ended up with extra rubber shoved in to try and true it all. Not impressed, a product intended to make things "easier" seems to have just introduced more variables, as now both ends "...

Hi I’ve ordered these acoustic wall panels and this wall mounted tv unit, how would I install this tv unit on top of the wall panels? Do I need to cut a small section out with jig saw for the bracket to mount on the wall? Or do I need to use longer screws like 70mm and cut no hole in the panneling and the tv unit would attatch onto the screws ? Thanks if someone could help would really appreciate it

Hi everyone, I hope this is okay to post in this subreddit. I bought a lamp from Dunelm, UK and it said that it charges using usb-c. Clearly this is not true because as you can see the port is too short and won't allow a normal usb-c cable in enough to charge it. Bought a Dunelm pendent light fitting and wondering what to do with the earth wire as it’s double insulated. Could I attach it to the circled area on the fitting? Or do I need to terminate it?

Feeling disappointed that I’m once again looking for pillows because my last pair from M&S haven’t even lasted 6 months without folding in the middle and losing their bounce/shape. Hello! Let's get this out of the way, dunelm was only willing to replace like for like and I can't afford a new vanity at the moment. The picture is meant to show that the top is splitting all over from the MDF swelling underneath. My goal is to either cover the new one with something (vinyl or something) or paint something on it. Any ideas as to what my best bet will be here? I will apply it after cutting the holes but before installing the sink and faucet. Thank you in advance!

UK lamp plug swap to US two prong - is it as simple as just reattaching the two wires to one screw each? Does the lack of a fuse in the US plug matter?
