Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Staples Latest Community Discussions About StaplesAITAH for asking too many questions at a new job?3h agoHello everyone! Today I had an incident at my new job I’d really appreciate some input on. I (26 M) got a job at an automotive parts store 3 weeks ago. I am a “little bit” mechanically inclined, but not anywhere near a professional level. They were looking for people with sales background, but not exactly mechanical experts. They enjoyed my positivity and willingness to learn, so I was hired! This morning it is only the shift manager I’ll call “Anthony” and I. A customer came in and was looking for a custom size belt. Usually I have the old belt or a part number I could search, but this would be new for me. I tell the customer it’s no problem, it just might take me a moment t... A1 combo table3h agoIs this a good table for the A1 combo? And can I or should I put a rug down under it? Why can't we buy MightyPop @ Counter?3h agoWhy is this exclusively only available on the Uber app? I went to my local Cineplex and asked if I could buy this or the "equivalent" (you know, without the Uber eats app) And they denied me and said I had to order it through Uber Eats - so I decided to try to place the order then and there, but they "closed their Uber eats store" (i.e. at like 10pm) - Mind you, I was there in person, they were still popping kernels for customers for the late shows. Made zero sense And being a CineClub member, this would be a nice perk (or exclusive feature to have - i.e. be able to purchase the MightyPop outside of Uber) I'll definitely be calling head office to make the s... Single people who live alone - how are we passing our days?3h agoI got laid off 3 months ago. To add insult to injury, I then lost my dog to cancer. I'm starting to lose my mind at home. I apply for jobs, I workout, I go for walks, I read books from the library, but I can't afford to do much else. I've tried applying to grocery stores, offices, temp agencies... no one's hiring. How are you all passing the days? [Thank you] Heartfelt Thanks for the Birthday Wishes & More - Part 023h agoI wanted to share my thanks for all the birthday cards I received. I waited until my birthday to open them, (although it has been a few days since)which is why this message comes a little late. Each card truly brightened my day. Thank you all for the kindness and care you put into them. u/TyeDyeAmish \- Thank you for the lovely birthday card and your kind wishes! Know that I have sent you a card your way and you should be receiving it soon! 📬 u/Classic-Power-333 \- Thank you for the Thanksgiving card that you sent! Hope you have a lovely thanksgiving! 🍗 u/pebble_pie \- Wow! If you had not mentioned that you made the watercolour painting on the card, I would have surely thought it wa... Truck towed from building for lease parking lot in Petaluma4h agoWent out to eat at volpis restaurant last Saturday night . We parked in a lot close to the restaurant on western avenue . Out of the 15 cars parked there there’s only one spot left so we took it. Come out after dinner to find my truck towed . And every other car towed as well. A witness told us a barage of tow trucks ,multiple tow trucks Sweeped through and back and forth got every vehicle towed. The yard they were storing the vehicles was less than 2 miles away . We find out the towing company name , number and yard location from one of the last guys Towing the last vehicle. Luckily we showed when we did cause they were headed back out and there’s no office or staff there to assist ... Drive Safe Project4h agoHi Everyone Im doing an experiment for one of my class projects where we create a product and our product is called DriveSafe here is a small description of the product: Drive Safe is a secure, Bluetooth-connected lock box that integrates directly with your vehicle. It verifies the driver’s identity using fingerprint authentication and stores the phone safely in a lockbox while driving. The device keeps the phone locked away physically, but still allows hands-free use through the car’s Bluetooth system. A couple questions we wanted to ask are: 1. Do you believe distracted driving is an ongoing issue in the United Sates? 2. Do you think our solution would help mitigate that issue? 3... Delivery of this order has been a complete disaster (UK)4h agoThis is long, and it’s a rant, and frankly I just need to let off some freaking steam at this point, because the delivery of this Amazon order has been a complete clusterfuck. (also, apologies if there are any mistakes in this, I have to use voice to text because I really struggle to type due to my disability affecting my hand-eye coordination. I started writing this right after I called customer service at 9pm, and it’s taken me til now (around quarter past 11) to add in updates and fix all of the mistakes, but some stuff I might have put in the wrong place or I might have missed mistakes from the speech to text. Sorry if this is the case.) I ordered a whole bunch of stuff on the 20... First time Carnival cruise as a DCL regular! Carnival Venezia Nov 20th4h agoHello everyone! I hope this is alright to post/mention but I thought maybe an outsider cruisers perspective on their first Carnival might help some new travelers plan their trips! I've sailed many a cruise before, over 15 on Disney Cruise Line alone, Did one horrifying Royal Caribbean once and I think that just scared me so much from trying a new cruise line. But recently, my family has been sailing on Carnival \[ Mardi Gras and Jubilee \] and have brought back Raving Positive reviews, so they invited me to give me a taste of the Carnival side on something small! We picked the Venezia for it's very unique layout, as we love very classic and pretty ships with decor. The Italian fl... It took me years to realise that Best Buy is no longer the high standard of retail5h agoAfter 9.5 years, I finally promoted myself to customer, about a month ago. Corie Berry is the lapdog of shareholders. She has no sales experience and is simply a bean counter. The problem is, she’s been left with the remnants of a company model that was held to a higher standard than other retailers, and she’s struggling with eliminating it in favour of being Wal Mart. BBY employees never earned commission; yet, they were treated better. Best Buy sold better products than anyone. Where else could you go into a store and actually see an OLED TV and have trained experts sell it to you? Leadership understood this and took care of their subordinates. Now, they have their managers riding t... Help Someone, Tell Someone You Love Them5h agoI have never posted here before, but out of anything I could be venting or talking about, I guess I would have to say this one is the most positive. I don't even know where else to post or talk about this. I will warn you, it's long, and it is a lot. There was a temptation to make this post under a throwaway account, but I am too tired to care about that, and I feel like having this come from my actual account, an actual person, shows how important this is. I don't want this to be a post about "I did this \[ . . .\]" or "I did that \[. . .\]" to scream for internet clout. I don't want any of that. This is a about an old woman who really needs help in... Arkansas police officer fired after being arrested for DWI. He ran a stop sign and crashed his car into a jewelry store ...5h agoMr. Kindly's Pawnshop5h agoWhen I was really little, something nasty got into my blood. Daddy took me to every hospital he could, until he’d run out of money. Auntie said we should all just pray harder. Daddy said “God let my child get leukemia. I’ll take my chances with the Devil.” I’ve never figured out how Daddy first came across the business card. All it said was “A. Kindly,” and a phone number. No address for where the shop was, or what hours it stayed opened. Daddy had to call to get that information. He said the voice on the other end was a woman’s. There was no sign out front. The building wasn’t so much small as it was narrow, impossibly squeezed between a chiropractor clinic and an emp... [UR] The Missing Case of René Del Río5h agoThe people of Musquiz will tell you the plaza is the center of town life, which is the sort of thing people only say when it’s absolutely not true. If people try to convince you that some place is normal, it usually isn’t. In Musquiz, it’s usually because the pigeons speak in full sentences, or the streetlights flicker warnings that nobody bothers to decode anymore because, really? Why would it be Morse code? René Del Río had once tried to decode them. But that was before he became a baker. On some nights, the scar on his left shoulder still bleeds jungle rain, drop by drop, onto the flour-dusted floor. By morning, the water and blood have vanished, leaving only the ... Brother of Schizophrenic… 35 years later5h agoI recently discovered this community and joined after reading a few posts. When I was in the 3rd/4th grade my oldest brother was diagnosed at an early age. He was in middle school. Soon after my parents divorced, dad was no longer in the picture. Life became a living ****. I remember being young enough to know that things were not normal yet I was not old enough to do anything about it. This was during the early 1990’s. Today I am in my mid 40’s. I no longer deal with my older brother. I noticed a lot of you are just now learning of the diagnoses of a loved one. Some of you are a couple years into the lifestyle of living with a Schizophrenic. I know that you are t... What are these types of shirts called and when can I find similar?5h agoI’d like to recreate a similar look to Y2K Kim Kardashian’s and I’m looking for these short sleeved lacy/chiffony/cottony shirts that have frills/lines around the chest area and sleeves like in the pic… I’d love it for an office siren look but I don’t know what they’re called or how they’re described. If someone could point me to an online store in the UK or US that has something similar I’d really appreciate it 💓 or even a second hand platform like depop or vinted How do I quit a job? Is it okay to do it through text?5h agoI want to quit my first ever job after about 3 months. I was able to get a better one and my first job hardly gave me any hours and the work enviorment was toxic. This is my first time ever quitting a job so I'm not exactly sure how to do it. I know there's already a lot of other reddit posts asking the same thing but I would still appreciate advice specific to my situation. For context I work at a franchised crumbl cookie. I'm not sure how to tell my manager I wanna quit. Should I do it through text? Text is the only way i'm in touch with her. I don't have her email or anything. I'm never sure what days she's even going to be at the store. Some days she is... Persimmon Pulp?6h agoLooking for anyone, or any grocery store, that might sell frozen persimmon pulp? Back home persimmon pudding is a staple Thanksgiving desert and me and my girlfriend were hoping to make some as an ode to home, but so far I haven’t been able to find anyone selling pulp, just whole fruit. Any suggestions are helpful! When a coworker brags that his family’s name “might be” in the Epstein files, George becomes obsessed with the ide...6h agoSpiraling into a new form of insecurity, he decides that being vaguely, mysteriously “file-adjacent” would finally make him interesting. He starts hinting around the Yankees’ office that his name may have come up in some sealed documents and that “lawyers were involved,” enjoying the fearful respect it gets him—until HR hauls him in and firmly clarifies that, as far as anyone knows, he is in no files whatsoever. Meanwhile, Jerry watches in horror as George becomes jealous of criminals, turning it into his latest bit about people treating “potential evidence” like a status symbol. Elaine rolls her eyes at the whole thing, pointing out that being boring and innocent is good, w... 5 solid spots for Japanese groceries in Berlin6h ago# MYCONBINI – Japanese premium store (Mitte) **Address:** Torstraße 18, 10119 Berlin Small, very curated Japanese shop. This is where you go if you actually cook Japanese at home and care about quality. * **Focus:** Premium ingredients, niche brands from Japan, proper dashi, miso, artisanal sauces, high-end rice, kitchenware. * **Vibe:** More “Tokyo lifestyle store” than Asia-Markt. Two floors, clean, minimal, feels very intentional. * **Best for your community:** Serious home cooks, people looking for gifts (sake, ceramics, bento boxes, books). # Japan Plaza – Supermarket + Bistro (Mitte / Hackescher Markt) **Address:** Rochstraße 14E, 10178 Berlin Japanese supermar... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
