Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Staples Latest Community Discussions About StaplesHonestly, nearly forgot my girlfriend's birthday last week and had to scramble...3h agoLiving in Bangkok, you'd think finding a last-minute gift would be easy, right? Wrong. I was stuck at work, department stores felt way too impersonal, and there was no chance I was trekking through Chatuchak in that heat. Remembered some mate at a bar near Thonglor mentioned [gogoflorist.com](https://www.gogoflorist.com) does same-day delivery. Thought "why not" and ordered around 10am. Flowers actually showed up at her office by 2pm looking proper fresh, which honestly surprised me. The weird bit? They sent me a photo of her holding the bouquet when they delivered it. Bit odd at first, but actually worked out brilliant since I could see her reaction while I was trapped... I Found A Peep Hole Behind My Bed, It Doesn't Look Into My Neighbor's Apartment (PT4-final)3h agoIt was 2:47 AM when I finally stood up from my couch. The building had been quiet for hours. No footsteps from the apartment below. No muffled TV from my neighbor. Just the occasional creak of old wood settling and the hum of the refrigerator. I'd checked the peephole every thirty minutes since midnight. She was sleeping. Had been for hours. Curled up on that four-poster bed in the same position, her gray hair spread across the yellowed pillow. Now or never. I grabbed my flashlight and phone, making sure both were fully charged. My hands were shaking as I walked down the hallway to where the wall had given way earlier. I pressed my hand against it again. The plaster crumbled easily... Question about breaks, being forced to work over time3h agoHello I’m a new ASM at my store. This entire week our store manager and another asm has been out sick. Leaving me with one other ASM. I’m not even trained, basically left to figure it out on my own. I’ve been told I am unable to leave the building at any point during the day until after my shift. I’m suppose to stay in the office in case the cashier needs me. This is a new concept to me, as I’m technically off the clock for my lunch break… yet I’m getting change and helping with returns? And not being paid. I wouldn’t mind tbis if my lunch was paid. This has been explained as “company policy” which I high key doubt. Can’t even take a smoke break etc, run to my car. ... UIUC students, where would you rather eat? I built something for you.3h agoHi, I’ve mapped out campus, Campustown, Urbana, and pretty much everywhere you can eat around UIUC in an app I built called Vota. The idea is simple: you see two places side by side, pick the one you prefer, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the smarter the list becomes. You could, for example, compare **Maize Mexican Grill** with **Black Dog Smoke & Ale House** – totally different styles, both open, both local staples, and over time even very different spots naturally find their place in the ranking. No influencers. No ads. No AI-generated text. Just real votes from real people who actually eat here. Not affiliated with anyone. Not sponsored by anyone... UF students, where would you rather eat? I built something for you.3h agoHi, I’ve mapped out campus, Gainesville, and pretty much everywhere you can eat around the University of Florida in an app I built called Vota. The idea is simple: you see two places side by side, pick the one you prefer, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the smarter the list becomes. You could, for example, compare **Satchel’s Pizza** with **The Top** – two completely different styles, both open, both Gainesville staples. Over time even very different spots naturally find their place in the ranking. No influencers. No ads. No AI-generated text. Just real votes from real people who actually eat here. **Not sponsored by anyone.** When I was studying, me and ... 249$ good deal?3h agois this a good laptop? looking for something for school work mostly Back to the Backrooms3h agoThere is something to be said about liminal spaces. Places that serve as a transition area. A pathway through a break in the woods, a hallway, a corridor in the hospital, the backrooms. They were a very viral and famous but unbeknownst to its own whereabouts place that no one has ever found. Atleast, never found and lived to tell about it. Questions arise as to whether it is real. After all, there is footage of this never ending screensaver theme of endless office space in the shape of a labyrinth everywhere. But I was only twenty-two years old at the time. I remember it so vivid. The color was a yellowish beige. I never was able to pinpoint whether there existed cubicles but with no evid... [5 YoE, IT Coordinator, Operations Analyst, United States]4h ago**Target roles:** Healthcare Operations Analyst, Implementation Coordinator, Project Coordinator, plus Data Manager positions in education **Target sectors:** Healthcare (priority), government, education, nonprofit **Questions:** I was recommended to list education, skills, and then work experience since I am pivoting careers. I was also told that it was okay to have two pages. If the consensus is to have only one page, I hope it can be clear how difficult that is in the current state. I would really struggle to know what to cut back on. I also would like any feedback. Anything that can be worded better for example. **More questions:** 1. **Resume positioning:** Does this effectively ... How to get rid of these info popups?4h agoI've tried searching but can't find any relevant info- how do I make it so these don't constantly show up as you move the cursor? I find them obnoxious. How to Move Without Losing Your Mind: Best Moving Tips That Actually Work4h ago***Moving ranks as one of life's most stressful events, right up there with divorce or losing a job.*** Moving ranks as one of life's most stressful events, right up there with divorce or losing a job. You might be surprised to learn that the average person moves about 11 times in their lifetime. That's why it's crucial to understand what you're up against. Good planning can significantly reduce your stress. Your moving checklist should start at least eight weeks before the big day. This well-laid-out plan helps you track everything from utility transfers to getting quotes from movers. Local moves typically cost around $1,250, so it's recommended to obtain at ... Maybe I can't find the right search terms; maybe the signal to noise ratio online is just too overwhelming these days. But either way, I figured the fine individuals between the chairs and keyboards on this fine forum of fanny foundations would be able to set me on the right path. Straight to the point, I'm looking for an economical office chair that pivots underneath the seat rather than having a fixed seat with only the back tilting. I want arms that can be adjusted for height, but not so picky about positioning. I guess because it might matter, I am a very average size person. As an aside, has there... CS 6457: Video Game Design Fall 2025 experience4h agoI had to pick between “Digital Health Equity” a course with zero reviews and “Video Game Design,” which at least sounded fun. Big mistake. This class is easier than a 3rd-grade algebra worksheet you’d do with colored pencils and stickers. The lectures are genuinely some of the worst I’ve experienced in OMSCS. The professor rambles for what feels like geological time, reads directly from the slides, and loses his mind with excitement anytime there’s an animated girl character on the screen. It’s like watching a kid get overstimulated in an anime store. Next to none of it is educational, just noise. The assignments? Laughable. You can literally paste the prompt into any AI t... Best Supermarket & is Fast Track Service worth it?4h agoI will be flying to T&C on Saturday morning 11/29. My flight leaves Boston at 6am and lands in T&C at 9:43am. Should I spend the money to skip the lines? It’s just me going solo. I have had 2 back surgeries this year so I don’t love standing around. I can do an hour or so, but not much more… I’m in no rush to get anywhere as I depart on the following Saturday 12/6. Any insight would be helpful. Jerked around by hiring— is this normal?4h agoI interviewed for a seasonal position last week and was told at the interview (with the store manager) that I had the job, and would be getting an email in the next 48 hours to schedule my orientation. Great! well, 2 days pass, it’s now Friday late afternoon, about 50 hours after my interview; no onboarding email. I had received however 2 emails (I assumed from the other kohls positions I applied for) that said they would not be moving forward with my application, etc. so I called & the store manager said huh, weird, but I’m not in the office, call back Monday. Okay, sure. Called back Monday. Store manager says okay I put in a ticket with the system to see what’s up, call back ... Do you often read the terms of a contract? The “Best Cologne For Men” Guide You Actually Need (Plus My Top Picks)4h agoA few days ago I had to explain to a guy friend the difference between all the different kinds of scents and it was lowkey traumatizing how a 21-year-old man had **0 knowledge** on this. He’d been going around just putting on whatever scent he liked. So I’m assuming there must be other soldiers on here too with the same amount of info — here to change that and make it easy. Perfumes are literally a hobby to me at this point. I’ve got like the names of a hundred memorized by heart + their type. So I’m gonna have fun with this post. The Catalyst Chronicles: The Low Lifes of Rochester4h agoRochester, New York—once the shining home of booming industry, camera giants, and thriving neighborhoods—had become a city with two faces. On one side, towers of wealth stood tall in gleaming skylines. On the other, abandoned buildings, shuttered warehouses, broken windows, and streets forgotten by the system where kids struggled to survive. And as the **super mutant x gene known as The Catalyst** spread through the city, reality shifted in ways no one saw coming. # The Streets Instead of School In the lowest sections of Rochester—especially around Lyell Avenue, Jay Street, and parts of Lake Avenue—school was a privilege very few children could reach. Many schools had closed due ... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
