I agree.

I agree with this man. It a pharmacy first (case in point they can’t have customers in unless a pharmacist is present). And for a lot of people in small towns it’s the ONLY option. I don’t have sensitivities but sometimes it does hit you like a punch to the face when you walk in-especially with the beauty boutiques. https://www.princegeorgecitizen.com/regional/shoppers-customer-challenges-pharmacys-perfume-heavy-entrance-11663473

There's an estrogen patch shortage in Canada (and the US). Here's what you can do....

4d ago

Hi everyone, I have been seeing some ladies post about estrogen patch shortages in the US recently and than this weekend I saw someone post about the same thing in Canada (where I live). This morning I called my national drug store, Shoppers Drug Mart (which holds my prescription) and this is what I learned from the lady working there (who was so lovely and went above and beyond doing some research about this for me): They are backordered on the Estradot patches. These are the ones made by Sandoz and are twice-weekly. The only other option in Canada that she told me about is the Climara patches, which are changed weekly (I think in the US there might be one more brand of twice-weekly patch...

Prescription Transfer?

4d ago

Hello! I have been getting my prescription meds from the McMaster pharmacy but I was wondering how it works if I would like to start getting my prescription refilled at my home Shoppers Drug Mart? I'm a bit confused about the whole process, and does it take a long time? Thank you!

Where to get needles for injections in-person?

7d ago

Update: I got a kit from Skipping Stone before they closed for their holiday break, and found a different pharmacy that does have T in stock. Thanks for the help! Hi all. I’m expecting to be prescribed testosterone Monday, and I’m really hoping to start taking it the same day. I’m planning on having my prescription sent to a Shoppers Drug Mart, but it looks like the needles they carry aren’t large enough for injecting testosterone (based on online). I’m calling them today to double check but I suspect it’s a dead end. Is there anywhere in the city I could get needles? I’d need 18g-25g. I’d really rather not buy online so I can have them here sooner. I’m also in the SW so ...

Competent pharmacies?

8d ago

Hello. Does anyone have suggestions for competent pharmacies in Valleyview or Dallas? Maybe downtown. Shoppers Drug Mart in Valleyview has really gone downhill since Jim retired. They try to charge me for everything despite it being covered. And they don’t even fill all the prescriptions there, they outsource it to some place in Burnaby.

Big difference in cost!

20d ago

I got prescribed mounjaro today and signed up on mounjaro . Com for a discount card, when I went to pharmacy the difference was 143$! How much are ppl paying out and about in Canada? I paid 319 today at shoppers drug mart in Ontario.

Help - Missing points

27d ago

I used my pc optimum point balance of 140000 points (equivalent to 210000 with the super redemption event) for this order and paid the difference with my credit card. In the end I still paid $185, which is more than what the offer suggests (refer to third image). I’m supposed to get the extra 40000 points after the purchase but why is not reflected on my current point balance? Is it a delayed process or a system error?

any 24 hour pharmacy in Markham?

36d ago

I remember the shoppers near 9th lane and hwy 7 used to be 24 hours but a quick google search shows that's no longer the case. Every shoppers drug mart in Markham closes latest at midnight now. Same goes to Richmond Hill. Do anyone know anywhere else for late night emergencies that google might not show? Otherwise it seems that the only other option is the shoppers at Yonger and Finch or Lawrence and Don Mills. There's no traffic at that time but it's still a long drive. Took me about 25 minutes one way to get there last night.

CBC Article about inappropriate MedsChecks billing by Shoppers

37d ago

My favorite part about this is where Shoppers public relations tries to justify this by saying that SDM pharmacies are better positioned to provide one on one consultation and patient care. Any customer or pharmacist knows that's not the case. Support your local independent pharmacies instead! https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/shoppers-drug-mart-medscheck-billing-9.6981970

Now it seems Mr. Bank hired his buddy to be SDM President and gave him a nice cushy salary. Nothing unethical here!!

I’m 100% sure there a was objective competitive process!! Wink wink!

I (31F) have oily fine hair and I have been experiencing thinning at the top for the past 4 years. My dermatologist office sells Viviscal Pro Thin To Thick Shampoo and conditioner. This is not the same version that is sold at a a pharmacy, Walmart or Shoppers Drug Mart. Has anyone used this version before? I can't find many reviews on this version.

Please Help me decide what to do,

71d ago

Hey everyone, I’m a 21-year-old currently living in Toronto. I came to Canada in August 2023, completed a two-year diploma in Computer Programming, and have already applied for my work permit — just waiting for the decision now. I’ve been working as a Supervisor at Shoppers Drug Mart for the past year. However, I feel like getting PR through this position might be quite difficult. I’m considering getting trained as a Pharmacy Assistant to improve my chances, but I’m not sure if that’s the best path. I have time, so I’m also open to learning French, improving my IELTS score, or even moving to another province if that increases my chances of getting PR. Please share your advic...
