Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Shoppers Drug Mart Latest Community Discussions About Shoppers Drug Martretail supervisor vs pharmacist assistant for pr?11d agoi know this is not the correct group to ask this but still expecting some insight. Hi everyone,I’m a 21-year-old male living in Toronto. I recently finished a 2-year diploma program and I’m currently waiting for my work permit decision. I’ve been working as a **Supervisor at Shoppers Drug Mart for the past 1 year**, and I’ve been waiting for my work permit for about **9 months now**, so I believe this time might also count as work experience. I’m planning to **learn French**, and I believe I can achieve **CLB 9 in IELTS** as well. I’m still in the process of understanding the PR pathways and figuring out the best strategy. My main question is: **Should I continue working... Retail supervisor or pharmacist assistant for pr?11d agoHi everyone,I’m a 21-year-old male living in Toronto. How vertically integrated is Loblaws & The Weston Family Group?17d agoI'm looking for research on how vertically integrated the grocery supply chain is in Canada. The obvious ownership of stores (Loblaws, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix, etc) and brands (President's Choice, No Name, etc) aside. Yes, that lack of competition is obviously harmful, but when Galen Weston says Loblaws only profits on average of 4%, I think the real question we should be asking is how do the various holdings groups his family also owns really profit up and down the supply chain, especially those companies who aren't public and don't need to disclose their details. For example, Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trus... Can I get into UBC V Arts18d agoI applied recently to ubc Vancouver bachelor arts as my second choice (first choice being ubc bdes). I am not sure if I can’t into any of these programs because of my low grade 11 sem grades 😭 that got screwed up because of my physics teacher (rant but btw she took 3 months of absence from the second day we started class without telling anyone and we were stuck with 6 different substitutes on and off, where half of them couldn’t even teach physics 💀 and one of them was even a kindergarten teacher) My grade 11 final avg: 90 My grade 12 avg as of right now with final marks: 93 Extracurriculars (for the ubc pp I only included my major ones) : \-in my school drumline team, in t... What is wrong with this butter?22d agopurchased this butter from our local corner store/pharmacy (Canada - shoppers drug Mart - no name brand). Opened it and it's completely white, no yellow colour, like the colour of cream cheese. it's also very flaky and browns a lot in the pan when used for greasing. Anyone know what could be wrong with this? Is it missing fat content or something? Hpv vaccine27d agoI’m a 26(F) and I was told about the Hpv vaccine. After doing research on it , I decided to get the vaccine. On 18th January morning I went to shoppers drug mart pharmacy In Vancouver to get my vaccine. The pharmacist explained me everything and I got the vaccine. After getting the vaccine he told me to sit in the waiting area for 10-15 mins to be on safer side if there’s any side effect. As soon as I sat down, I left kinda pukey and everything started to feel blurry and dizzy and I fell on my face and fainted. I believe it was 4-5 mins before I woke up. For the next few seconds I was so lost trying to open my eyes and think straight where am I and why am I on the floor. After ... Is my family doctor being unreasonable about prescription renewals?33d agoI am on a couple of long term maintenance prescriptions, one for high blood pressure and one for a prostate issue. I have been on the prostate meds for over a year and they are working fine. For my blood pressure meds, my doctor makes me come into his office every time a renewal is needed (every 3 months). All he does is take a blood pressure reading. The appointment takes maybe five minutes, but I have to book time off work, drive about 30 minutes across the highway, and pay for parking just to get there. I even asked if I could take my own blood pressure at home since I have a monitor and have my pharmacy send him the number with a fax request. He said no, he wants to take the reading him... I agree.53d agoI agree with this man. It a pharmacy first (case in point they can’t have customers in unless a pharmacist is present). And for a lot of people in small towns it’s the ONLY option. I don’t have sensitivities but sometimes it does hit you like a punch to the face when you walk in-especially with the beauty boutiques. https://www.princegeorgecitizen.com/regional/shoppers-customer-challenges-pharmacys-perfume-heavy-entrance-11663473 There's an estrogen patch shortage in Canada (and the US). Here's what you can do....55d agoHi everyone, I have been seeing some ladies post about estrogen patch shortages in the US recently and than this weekend I saw someone post about the same thing in Canada (where I live). This morning I called my national drug store, Shoppers Drug Mart (which holds my prescription) and this is what I learned from the lady working there (who was so lovely and went above and beyond doing some research about this for me): They are backordered on the Estradot patches. These are the ones made by Sandoz and are twice-weekly. The only other option in Canada that she told me about is the Climara patches, which are changed weekly (I think in the US there might be one more brand of twice-weekly patch... Prescription Transfer?55d agoHello! I have been getting my prescription meds from the McMaster pharmacy but I was wondering how it works if I would like to start getting my prescription refilled at my home Shoppers Drug Mart? I'm a bit confused about the whole process, and does it take a long time?
