syringes - where to buy other than amazon?

9d ago

I do weekly injections for T and have always gotten my syringes from shoppers drug mart. It has been kind of hit or miss as to which shoppers carries them, and how many they have, but for 3 years now that's where i've been getting them. For context, I prefer to buy the syringes separately because if the shot doesn't go well I need to switch the needle. It happens often enough and I don't want to waste T. Lately, I can't find a single shoppers that carries just injection syringes. The pharmacy clerks always look at me like I'm not even speaking english when I ask. I know they have them on Amazon, but I'm tired of being forced to support that company...

Vaccines in pregnancy (Tdap + RSV) — timing & where to get them? [ON]

16d ago

Hi everyone! Currently 32 weeks pregnant and trying to plan my vaccines. I had a few questions: \- At how many weeks did you get your Tdap and RSV vaccines? \- Can both be given at the same appointment / same day? \- Where did you get them done — your family doctor or a pharmacy (like Shoppers Drug Mart or Rexall)? I’m in Ontario if that matters. Planning to get both same day but not sure about timing or if pharmacies offer both. Would love to hear your experiences! Thanks 😊

Organized Theft Alert at Canada Post Outlet in Toronto: 1500 Woodbine Ave

19d ago

I was the victim of a coordinated theft at the Canada Post outlet in the Shopper's Drug Mart at 1500 Woodbine Ave. I highly recommend not taking your packages there for drop off, especially if they are valuable or irreplaceable. If the Canada Post employees target your package (high value on customs forms, etc), they will give you a $0 receipt for something else, and pretend to scan your package but not actually enter it into the system. The theft will occur later as the box is not entered into the system, typically at the forwarding location. It is coordinated. Canada Post refuses to investigate further. Not all of the Canada Post staff was involved, but this has happened twice to m...

Medicated Canadians: what has your pharmacy experience been like?

19d ago

I’m getting so frustrated with my Shoppers Drug Mart that I’m almost ready to switch even though I’ve been with them for decades, it’s the closest to me by far and they offer free delivery. There are a lot of other issues, but most of it is because of my Vyvanse. I’m just wondering if this is a universal problem or not. I am on 6 to 8 different meds at any given time but my Vyvanse prescription has been the most annoying. It seemed okay at 30 mg but at 40 mg it all went to ****. Some of the changes/differences are: \- I have to show ID at pick up (not a problem, just a difference). \- I can only renew my prescription two days before I run out. Any other meds it’s at least a...

Can anyone tell me what this means 😭? Does this mean I don’t have a chance anymore? Or this is still early rounds? My grade avg for 11: 90 but I don’t remember the top of my head the individual percentages (without physics 11; I’m applying for Bachelor of Arts Vancouver but I am not sure if it’s true that they drop your lowest academic course unrelated to degree) My grade avg for 12: 93 97- English 12 90- History 12 93- Chemistry 12 Extracurriculars (for the ubc pp I only included my major ones) : \-in my school drumline team, in the front ensemble playing the electronic marimba (played at competitions throughout the lower mainland and won 3rd place for provincials at Ender...

Pet prescription medication in Ontario

32d ago

I'm using an online vet service in Ontario, Canada, and noticed they can send the pet prescriptions to Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, Guardian IDA, and Costco. I'm wondering what types of pet medications these large chain human pharmacies are actually able to dispense? Has anyone had experience with this? I want to make sure the pharmacy can fill the prescription, because each time the online vet sends one out, they charge a $20 fee.

retail supervisor vs pharmacist assistant for pr?

44d ago

i know this is not the correct group to ask this but still expecting some insight. Hi everyone,I’m a 21-year-old male living in Toronto. I recently finished a 2-year diploma program and I’m currently waiting for my work permit decision. I’ve been working as a **Supervisor at Shoppers Drug Mart for the past 1 year**, and I’ve been waiting for my work permit for about **9 months now**, so I believe this time might also count as work experience. I’m planning to **learn French**, and I believe I can achieve **CLB 9 in IELTS** as well. I’m still in the process of understanding the PR pathways and figuring out the best strategy. My main question is: **Should I continue working...

How vertically integrated is Loblaws & The Weston Family Group?

50d ago

I'm looking for research on how vertically integrated the grocery supply chain is in Canada. The obvious ownership of stores (Loblaws, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix, etc) and brands (President's Choice, No Name, etc) aside. Yes, that lack of competition is obviously harmful, but when Galen Weston says Loblaws only profits on average of 4%, I think the real question we should be asking is how do the various holdings groups his family also owns really profit up and down the supply chain, especially those companies who aren't public and don't need to disclose their details. For example, Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trus...

Can I get into UBC V Arts

52d ago

I applied recently to ubc Vancouver bachelor arts as my second choice (first choice being ubc bdes). I am not sure if I can’t into any of these programs because of my low grade 11 sem grades 😭 that got screwed up because of my physics teacher (rant but btw she took 3 months of absence from the second day we started class without telling anyone and we were stuck with 6 different substitutes on and off, where half of them couldn’t even teach physics 💀 and one of them was even a kindergarten teacher) My grade 11 final avg: 90 My grade 12 avg as of right now with final marks: 93 Extracurriculars (for the ubc pp I only included my major ones) : \-in my school drumline team, in t...
