Over the past couple months, the engine has been "ticking" more than usual. I verified oil level (even performed an early oil change) but it didn't seem to make a difference. Hello all! Wanted to publish this somewhere cause I can’t seem to find much talk of it anywhere else. I’ve just renewed my Avenza subscription for this year. The first thing that should have tipped me off is you can’t buy the lower price tier (Plus?) on the web anymore. You have to buy it through the Avenza app on whatever device. Oh, *but it gets better*. As far as I can tell, from reading Avenza support articles and everything. Buying a subscription will now only work on one device at a time. Yeah so I’ve paid $50 CAD and that only works on my iPhone. Previously would use phone on the trail but iPad at home for planning. For that privilege I need to pay over $100 CAD a year....

I work at a brick-and-mortar electronics retailer. Yesterday I replaced the price labels on all the Samsung external SSDs. I estimate they were raised by \~$75 CAD per TB capacity. Some 4TB "rugged" ones are over $1000 CAD now. I'm not involved with ordering stock, but considering how few of those we sell and how much space all the variants take on the wall, I would guess the new price was either set by Samsung or the store is compensating for a new cost to buy.
