I live in a college town. I'm not really a local per se. I moved here over two years ago from the farm lands like an hour down the road. I would often come here with my parents for shopping expeditions as a child or in my ladder teenage years with my friends to find parties to attend. There are better job options up here. Better class of people as well. Being around redneck, gun crazy, mech-head simpletons and having to work on a farm or in a factory wasn't the lifestyle I always pictured for myself. I have 8 years of continuous service with Walmart/Sams, 9 total but had too large of a gap, and 14 years pharmacy experience in total, but only about 2 years working as a pharmacist. Went all the way from tech, certified tech, lead tech, intern, pharmacist with Walmart. The topic of discussion was whether a local bread store was likely to *carry* a variety I've been looking for. It's one of those discount shops that often sells loaves the bigger stores rejected (no actual bakery so nothing hand-crafted) so their stock varies enough from day to day that I concluded it might be worth checking out once in a while when I need to drive to the club store for cases of drinks but not during errands that are normally close to home... I have been collecting records since 2024. It all started when I bought Van Halen's 1984 at Target. Two weeks later, I would return to Target to pick up Michael Jackson's Thriller. I came to enjoy this format and wanted to indulge in it even more than I did in CDs. I went on a collecting spree throughout 2025 and the beginning half of this year, finally halting at 80 records (though that is a bit far-fetched, as I have a copy of David Bowie's Let's Dance arriving tomorrow).
