Took a dream cruise last month, here are some thoughts. Background, i've cruised carnival, virgin, celebrity, and now Disney, each once. Paid roughly $4k for 2 adults and a child, 4 nights. **Embarkation 1/10** Holy heck, it was awful. By far the absolute worst experience of any ship/port. Getting to the port was easy, Ft. Lauderdale is great, hotel super easy. We showed up 15 minutes prior to our boarding time. If embarkation hits any delays (ours did), you get queued up on a concrete lot under an overpass. Thankfully it wasn't hot and weather was fine but this is a recipe for disaster. Our boarding group was delayed 1.5 hours and we stood in a line for a total of nearly 3 hours...

So a little background first: I wanted to get my son's games recorded to make highlights on in effort to keep "game tape" (that I owned) for whatever potential opportunities may come down the road for him (whether it's a different club, Academy interest, college, professional play, whatever). He's currently playing MLS Next HD, but hasn't started high school yet. His club team uses a Veo camera to record games and it's been great - however, the quality is sometimes spotty (all the kids look the same) and the club for some unknown reason restricts access to the files - so you have to go to the club to get clips. I have an update on Carmo coffee. You can buy it at their roaster at 2624 Aurora Rd (it's in one of those storage warehouse kind of place) from 9-5 on Mondays. They will be selling again at Mannys when they open their new store east of the Sam's club on 192. It is predicted to open in July of 2026 and will be a deli and a pizzeria and selling our favorite Carmo coffees! 😋

I feel like I don't have any culture that I can truly connect to. My parents are African (well duh) but we live in the states. Now, I basically did nothing my whole life but school, church, and the grocery store and a like 2 clubs so basically growing up I had no life and no way to connect.
