Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for a good water fountain or waterfall feature for an aquatic turtle tank? I see that most are built into filters, and while I wouldn't mind adding a second filter to my tank specifically for this I don't \*need\* another filter so I guess I'm looking for one that's a standalone. The only others I see float in the water and I don't know if I want to take away any of their surface swimming area for this, so I wasn't sure what other options are out there. Unfortunately Petco didn't have anything like this and the nearest specialty aquarium store is like an hour away from me, which I try to only go to for a last resort ...

I started with PetSmart in September, and I remember being so excited to work in a pet store, especially to be around the kitties because I love cats with all of my heart. Got my betta a few days ago, he was very calm not jumpy when I saw him in a cup. He got very excited in his petsmart cup once I took him home amd started acclimating him. He was darting around his new tank. He likes to dive towards the gravel and plants, finding comfortable spots while destroying uprooting a few plants doing it. Any ideas what colors he'll get? I have been with petsmart all my adult life; sure, ive volunteered for like a few saturdays at a pet adoption center for a highschool project, but my first and only job starting at 18 was petsmart as a dog bather. After some time getting to know the dogs, people and the job, i was decent and even felt for awhile that my salon crew was like a second family to me. We are needing a volunteer to help maintain the cat adoption area at the PetSmart Store in Rivergate Sunday mornings. The store is kind enough to display Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary cats and provide food and litter at no cost. Volunteers check on the cats daily, clean litter boxes and top off food and water. This takes roughly 1-1.5hrs. Optimal time is in the morning before store opens (10am on Sundays) as if you do it during business hours, you will be interrupted frequently by curious passerbyers. My parents took one of our dogs to the petsmart training when I was younger and we had a great experience. Lots of hands on in class. Half the time teaching and half the time hands on actually practicing the training. Even for leash walking through the store. So with my husband and I's new puppy we signed up for the beginner and intermediate classes recently. But theres no hands on. Its an hour long of talking about the different skills, a handful of examples that the trainer does. And thats it. Is that standard now across the board? Or did we get a location thats not the norm?

Ok so basically I have a BowFront 36 Gallon Fish Tank + Stand from PetSmart and that combo is known for a lot of issues especially with the stand. So what happens is that water leaks from my lid because of the poor design and onto my stand. Now I try to prevent it where I can but now the stand edges have expanded. I went to PetSmart last night to do my monthly stock up and the experience I had slightly baffled me. I understand that this isn’t a unique experience to our local store but more than likely a corporate directive. Just wondering what others thoughts are in this case. Hello all! I got my bird son about 5 months ago. Hes about 10 months old and is a very healthy and happy bird (albiet sassy). Im a first time bird owner so I explore bird subs a lot lol. So, as any responsible owner does I take Mari outside of his cage a few hours a day, and since day one ive struggled finding toys to have him play with outside of his cage. Ive explored any option I could think to: he has a foraging box, rings, multiple wood toys, a foraging cardboard toy, seagrass ball, cup stacking, cork to chew on, and a finger trap toy. But as I explore different pet store online store ive ran out of options for toys to have him play with when hes out of his cage and we're chilling....

just got this 10 gallon tank for a betta and maybe a nerite snail later on. In some of the pictures you can see I had a few hitchhikers on my plants. They turned out to be bladder snails, but I’ve removed them and gave them to a local pet store for their turtles. I haven’t added my fish yet. When I first started I got some bad advice from PetSmart and ended up spending about $160 on a starter setup with plastic plants and decorations that I now know weren’t great. After I started cycling the tank, I did more research and realized I needed to make some changes. I’ve had this betta since december and originally he came fully white with maybe a few black spots, but overtime he has become more pink and gained more of these pepperish spots on his body. For awhile he’s had these reddish lines on his fins and I thought it was some form of fin rot, but my sister tells me it could just be some of his natural coloring coming in. I’ve given him medicine for the fin rot I thought he had and have done some adjustments for his tank to keep him happy. He does seem to be comfortable enough to make bubble nests at the least and I am regularly adding tannins to his tank as well.
