The blobs are slightly raised, you can feel their texture as like Braille. Underneath the three dots is a small oblong reddish place. Feel free to ignore or delete if this is annoying, I have OCD and know this is not something most would worry about. I have a castiron pan that has been stored away for a long time. It had another smaller pan stacked on top of it. I last used it to cook steak and with some garlic and herbs. I can't be sure I cleaned it well, someone told me to only clean cast irons with water so I don't know if I used soap (I now know that is BS). If there's still some oily residue left behind and maybe garlic, is that enough to grow harmful bacteria or botulism on the pan?
