You almost certainly do not know this. Your audit log won’t tell you. Your CISO won’t tell you, because nothing in their toolkit is built to see it. I'm 34F cis-gendered, single, child-free, never had been in a relationship despite many tries, and I'm deeply inserted in the geek community through cosplay and gaming for the past 15 years, and it's a big part of my life that makes me happy and makes me escape from the hellhole of home-work/work-home. For context: Inside the cosplay community the cosplayers of a certain gender can cosplay characters of the opposite gender (in this case I do cosplay male characters while being a woman but I often confused as ******* because people tend to think that I'm cosplaying a male char... These wooden blocks from Worthing, used to be part of the old sea defences?!2h agoI recently found out that some of the old wooden groins from Worthing seafront (the darker blocks in this photo) are being repurposed locally by the Brighton wood store in Kemptown, which I thought was really cool. Apparently they’re made from Greenheart wood and have literally been in the sea for years before being replaced - thanks to some creative woodworkers in Brighton, they’re ending up as things like shop displays! The lighter blocks at the back are (I’m told) Douglas fir from the newer replacements. Has anyone else come across bits of old Brighton / local area infrastructure being reused like this? ♻️ Non-English Movie Titles2h agoI didn’t notice anyone aggregating these, so I thought it might serve us to try to understand. If we take Clark’s first interaction with The Complex as a hint, the Voyager (have we listened to confirm that?) record having greetings in multiple languages is kind of meta, and the different may titles tell part of the story. There was some hubbub on here about the Brazilian trailer and poster (which would be in Portuguese). But the movie is called: “Backrooms: Um Não Lugar” We were told this translates to “Backrooms: A Non-Place.” There was some discussion, but it seems to me that it’s an indication that it’s Liminal Horror. Recently (as of this post), we’ve seen the ... Old Barbie (I think) toy2h agoI have typed in so many variants of descriptions of this toy in my google search and have been unsuccessful in finding it. It was a barbie toy that wasn't a computer or laptop but you could type on it and there was a little screen in the center. Then on the top edge of the toy there were plastic "shop" buttons but the buttons were actually in the shape of the shops. I vaguely remember one of the shops being called "Sugar Shoppe" but even when I typed that into google, it doesn't come up. I know it existed, it was one of my favorite toys when I was little, (I was born in 2003, played with it maybe when I was 5/6) This is my best drawing of how I remember it lo... Ideas on how to fix the Democratic Party2h agoI wrote this soon after the 2024 election and tried to post it on the Democrats subreddit, but it was never approved. Given everything that has happened since, some of it now feels very outdated, but I wanted to share here given some of the conversation in this sub about progressive vs. centrist/establishment politics. **TL;DR:** Step 1: We Need Stronger Leadership & an Actual Strategy Step 2: Get Dem Policies Right Step 3: Build Campaigns for the 21st Century **For people with very long attention spans:** **Step 1: We Need Stronger Leadership, Candidates, & an Actual Strategy** • Trump and his administration are intentionally causing chaos and flooding the ... Feel cut off & forgotten by my dad’s family2h agoDregs of my morning coffee. TW: family deaths (not physically traumatic) I started typing this all out and it was novel length so I’m trying to truncate. My dad died almost 20 years ago. It was sudden and emotionally traumatizing obviously. My mom has not remarried, he was the love of her life and they had a wonderful relationship. My sister and I were in our 20s when he passed. His family: our grandparents (his mom and dad), 2 aunts (1 older with two kids), one much younger (late in life baby born after my dad graduated so was essentially an only child growing up. This is relevant maybe. All of these relatives live far enough away that we saw them rarely growing up. Grandparents... Can I find women's v-neck t-shirts with free shipping options?2h agoI visited a clothing store two days ago to find a simple v-neck t-shirt for everyday wear. I wanted something comfortable, breathable, and easy to style. But when I checked the options I felt disappointed. Some t-shirts were overpriced for very basic designs. Some had decent fabric but didn’t feel comfortable enough for long use. Some didn’t seem durable after a few washes. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently. Then I visited another shop in the same area. Some options looked slightly better but still not ideal. Some shirts looked good on display but didn’t feel the same when tried. Some had fair pricing but stitching didn’t feel strong. Some looked fine at first b... Arrowhead just ragebaiting us atp2h agoThey're just doing everything players don't want, for example recent hiveguard armour increase nobody asked for because they spawn in bulk which ruined turrets(both gatling and machinegun) Or they do negative sum balancing(buff mech, buff enemies, unbuffed vehicles and turrets suffer) Or outright lying by omission(the "we haven't nerfed the coyote...also "Slightly harder to be put on fire" thing") and OTF effect is just one of cherries on top, they allow agitators to give buffs to automatons but giving same thing to players is suddenly impossible, just give us some pathetic 10% reload that's way better than ragebaiting flag, or better would be to KE... Which stores offer the latest designs in women's graphic tees?2h agoI visited a clothing store recently to find trendy graphic tees. I wanted something modern and expressive. But when I checked the options I felt disappointed. Some designs felt outdated. Some prints looked generic. Some didn’t feel unique at all. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently. Then I checked another shop. Some designs were slightly better but still lacked creativity. Some were stylish but repetitive. Some looked good at first but didn’t stand out. I remembered buying a graphic tee once that looked trendy but quickly felt boring. That made me hesitate again. Later, while browsing online marketplaces including alibaba, I found many graphic tees. Some had unique... Shipped 26.5.1 of my iOS+Mac file converter — 5 features I'd been pushing back since v1, and the lift was smaller...2h agoSolo dev launching 26.5.1 of Formattery this week. Version notes are my favourite kind to ship — small surface area, big workflow impact for anyone using the app daily. The backstory on what landed and why: PDF → Word with iOS 26 table detection. Tables are the part of any PDF→Word converter that breaks. Most tools either skip them entirely or render them as positioned text boxes that fall apart the moment you try to edit. Apple's iOS 26 table detection landed in the Vision framework and I wired it through, so tables come out as proper editable Word table objects. Took about a week to get right because the Vision API gives you bounding boxes and you still have to reconstruct the... AITAH for leaving an addict to die on the street2h agoI am a college student finishing their first year of university. Me and my friends decided to go to the campus store to get some snacks for a movie night. On our way there, we saw an addict lying on the street shaking and saying nonsense. It looked like she was overdosing. We felt bad and were going to call emergency services, until she started yelling out slurs. For reference two of us in the group are black, me and my sister. So you can probably guess what slurs she was yelling. I’ve dealt with enough racism to last a lifetime. I grew up in a wealthy predominantly white area, so I’ve had my number of racist encounters. Dealing with that growing up is traumatic and i’m still working o... Apartments under $1700 near major shopping centers2h agoHi. Still trying to narrow down our search. There are two of us and we have very different needs. We are seeking: * safe and quiet units * well maintained * pet-friendly (dog 18lbs) * within 2 miles of a *major shopping center* (retail mgr seeking job) * AND within 30 minutes from *VUMC* (high medical needs) * Franklin occasionally for medical visits./surgeries I feel like I have exhausted Google, but finding something that meets the criteria is difficult! I see things that I like I are near VUMC, but not near a large shopping mall. Or vice versa. Wanting to narrow down what areas I need to be looking into and the shopping center. Thanks! How do I choose the best-fitting denim jacket for my body type?2h agoA few days ago we began to investigate what shops carry the newest designs of bra and panty sets among women because the lingerie style is evolving rapidly due to the new styles, fabrics and tendencies. Initially, we had thought that only the luxury brands publish new designs frequently. But as we dug deeper, we found that online styling agencies as well as the international market are now updating collections at a very rapid rate with contemporary and fashionable sets. According to our studies, lingerie stores, fashion online stores, and brand shops open new arrivals with a lace design, seamless sets, mesh, and fashionable color accents every time. Comfort-based innovation is also prevale... Echopraxia by Peter Watts (Bingo Review 1/25)2h ago*If you are given a choice, you believe you have acted freely*. – Raymond Teller *The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift*. -Albert Einstein (apocryphal) *All animals are under stringent selection pressure to be as ****** as they can get away with.* – Peter Richerson, Robert Boyd *Blindsight* is one of my favorite books I’ve read in the past couple years with its fantastic mix of cosmic horror, hard sci-fi, and mind-blowing ideas, so I was especially excited to dig into its “sidequel” that fills us in on events back on Earth. While there is a lot to like in *Echo... We just released the demo for "The Grimwood Hex", our Into the Breach inspired deckbuilder!2h agoHello fans of **Into the Breach**! After 10 months of development, we released the demo for our Into the Breach inspired game on Steam. **The Grimwood Hex** is a wooden roguelike deckbuilder where time is against you. You place and explore a board of enchanted tiles, craft unique decks and fight twisted creatures in the safety of daylight, rushing back to the town before nightfall. **The combat encounters are heavily inspired by Into the Breach**. Whilst you can use cards to directly attack your enemies, you can also use them on parts of the environment to gain a tactical advantage. For example, you could hit a tree with a "Slice" card for it to fall onto an enemy that deals ...
