A few months back my partner and I were in Switzerland and decided to do the Murren via ferrata. For context, it’s very technically easy and does not demand much beyond basic fitness. I would know as I am quite unfit by via ferrata standards and I had no issues. However, it has a few famously extremely exposed sections where falling off = plummeting to the valley floor hundreds of meters below to a very certain and graphic death. We started quite late in the day, right before the rental shop closed. As such, the final tour group was a solid 5 minutes ahead of us. As we were descending close... - YouTube Okay, Blue Muppet from Sesame Street..You are getting annoying offering that $7.99 deal..1h agoOkay, Domino's..**REALLY!!** we don't need a muppet from Sesame Street to tell us how good the $7.99 deal really is.. Need some advice1h agoSo I am not running a true business, more of just a hobby where I make money from. I’ve had issues selling online, and it put me off wanting to deal with it anymore. So my friend and I opened up a vendor space at a boutique consignment shop. We hand make all our items. My friend and I decided to share the booth so we could split the rent. After the first three months my sales are slowing growing, each month has increased from the previous one. My friend however has not made any sales yet. I can tell he is growing frustrated. At the end of this month we can choose to leave if we want. The contract is only 3 months and after that month to month. I feel like at the end of the month he will pu... [Hiring] Looking for Artist to Illustrate Chapters from Book. $400-$800 Each. (Fluid if Applicable)1h agoI have been working on a book project, and have decided that I would like one important scene from each chapter to be illustrated, perhaps acting as a header before the chapter begins. I have already ironed out a lot of the character designs and environmental work with other artists, so I have good references to provide, which I will once I have chosen an artist. **Style:** I would prefer a painterly style, but feel free to throw your work out there, because while I do have an idea of what I want, it is entirely possible that I may consider your style for the illustrations instead. **Scope:** We will start with a few illustrations to get our footing, then if I would like to pursue this fu... Cleanup Crew Help?1h agoI feel like this is the most unbalanced enemy in the game. Does anybody have any tips on dealing with them or do I just have to pray I get a shotgun second shop? Old Prompt With Additions1h agoSaw a prompt and response from a couple of years ago and thought I'd give it another airing and add some stuff I thought of; OP: [https://www.reddit.com/r/HPfanfiction/comments/1fqe7hu/harry\_hears\_a\_rumor\_that\_snape\_is\_a\_vampire\_and/](https://www.reddit.com/r/HPfanfiction/comments/1fqe7hu/harry_hears_a_rumor_that_snape_is_a_vampire_and/) Original prompt: >If Harry was being honest with himself he had actually been looking forward to his first potions class, but then he had started hearing the rumors about their teacher. >At first Harry thought it was a joke, Ron's brothers telling him to "avoid Snape's vampiric gaze" he had laughed it off o... Driver Therapy": Why the four-legged recipients are the real MVPs.1h agoWe talk a lot about bad rates, bad merchants, and awful GTA traffic. But I wanted to share the one thing that actually makes this job worth it for me (besides the paycheck): the pets. As a driver, I treat my route like a business, but meeting animals along the way is my therapy. Whether it’s a dog looking out the window, a shop cat (shoutout to the one at Sweet Pea!), or even a reptile, it always boosts my energy. Waving at a dog through a window for just 10 seconds can totally reset your mood after a stressful pickup and getting to pet a friendly animal (with the owner's permission) is like a shot of caffeine for the rest of the shift. To every customer who lets us say hi to thei... This genuinely made me depressed1h ago**Before I begin, I would just like to say that this is entirely my fault for not paying attention and realizing that the Shell Credit x500 was unlimited.** **Context:** I started Wuthering Waves last November. I finally finished building a couple teams and was able to completely clear all of the Calamity Tactical Holograms in Jinzhou around a week and a half ago. I was really happy, and I was definitely feeling the adrenaline rush. I went to redeem all the tokens you receive for completing all the challenges. I was redeeming quickly, and I did not see that the Shell Credit x500 was unlimited. Well, it was too late. I bricked my Simulation Training Store. I was genuinely so depressed aft... Need some advice about a cockroach issue and ending tenancy early in Ontario.1h agoWe’ve been dealing with a pretty bad cockroach problem in our condo for more than a month now. We first informed the landlord on April 13th, and although multiple pest control treatments were done, the issue still hasn’t been resolved. After the treatments, cockroaches started appearing all over the unit, especially in the kitchen. Because of this: * We’re not comfortable cooking anymore. * We’ve had to throw away food multiple times because cockroaches were falling near the cooking area. * We’re not sleeping properly and spend most of our time outside because we don’t feel comfortable staying in the unit. * We had to repeatedly pack and unpack our belongings for treatments. ... My mother killed my dad1h agoSo, my dad had cancer, discovered in 2020, after passing blood, he went to the ER, and they said he had a kidney stone, but discovered a mass on his kidney. They removed his kidney, claiming they got everything. 6 months later, they found a spot on his lung. He ended up having 3 spots, but after immunotherapy, they got it down to one spot. These spots were in the single digit millimeters in size. In 2022, about 2 months after my paternal grandmother died, he started getting dizzy, and couldn't lift his head off the pillow. Another ER visit later and he has a brain tumor. They remove it, claim they got it all. This is when the murder starts. The murderous "doctors" in radiology... The Myth Praised by Every Artist1h agoIn the late 1990s, collectors on music forums began talking about a cult record that technically might not have existed. The title was; "Silence Makes No Waves". The album had no barcode. No catalog number. No publishing information. No record label. Only a pale gray sleeve with a small embossed symbol resembling a broken radio tower. Nobody knew where it came from. The album only becomes famous inside the story, and only after the details about it were shared publicly by celebrities. The story says that a popular shop owner in London claimed a young man traded a box of the records and tapes for cash. Later, a former DJ in Berlin insisted he heard one of the songs years earlier... One store, 2 barefooters1h agoI live out in the country in Georgia, so going to stores barefoot really isn’t a big deal, or uncommon, at all. Was at the local country store this evening and ran into a lady that also showed up without shoes. New folks, don’t sweat it, do it. The Secret History of Micronauts and Marvel’s Direct Market Gamble1h agoMicronauts #38 from 1982 isn’t just another issue—it’s a quiet reset and a unique artifact of Marvel’s shift into the direct market era. This week, we’re diving into a comic that blends Bill Mantlo’s deep sci-fi vision with the talents of Gil Kane, Michael Golden, and more. We’ll look at why this issue feels like a reintroduction, how it fits into Marvel’s business strategy of the early '80s, and what makes its creative team one of the most underrated lineups of the decade. This is Micronauts as you’ve never seen it—so let’s get microscopic. In this issue the Micronauts tell tales from long ago, Commander Arcturus Rann recalls one of his most important lessons lea... Looking for Sublet/Roommate1h agoHi Santa Maria! I'm looking for a roommate in a two bed, two bath at Azure Apartments. The complex includes a pool, gym, basketball court, dog parks, and a washer/dryer inside the apartment. Rent is $2,800, so split down the middle would be $1,400, which is a very good deal in CA in these times. It's located right next to Costco and many other chain stores, so pretty much everything you need is a half-mile away. I'm a 24 year old male and I have one cat that is hypoallergenic and very friendly. I work at Vandenberg SFB for long hours so you will have the place to yourself most of the time. If interested, please send me a DM and we can chat. https://preview.redd.it/hn4l52k60m1... What’s the weirdest animal you’ve made a pup cup for?1h agoA duck, for my old store. I did \*not\* believe this girl. She ordered a cup of water with strawberry pieces. My partners didn’t know what to say so I hopped on to explain a custom iced tea, and she hesitated. I started to apologize and explain that it’s policy, and she was very sweet. She said it was actually like a special treat so it wasn’t a big deal if we couldn’t do it. Of course we asked what kind of special treat that is, and she goes, “Oh, it’s like a pup cup…for my duck.” Right as she finished her sentence, her duck very loudly started quacking over the headsets. Like, that duck had the most perfect comedic timing ever. Naturally I just marked it out at that poi... It never had anything to do with helping men or women, it was just about enabling selfish, spoiled, and corrupt women who had gotten used to the idea that they could do whatever they wanted because they were spurned. Just a typical case of our species tribal instincts to find an invented villain to fight. Back when the third wave of feminism (also known as feminazism) came about, one of the first things that they did was invent an idea that there was a mass conspiracy to keep women oppressed and men in ... saw this for a deal at a bin store and said why not1h agothese really do show their price compared to the hexas i have, xd these'll serve me best as spares methinks Am I too old to start over1h agoHello, I am a 27man who was always active back in the days, doing side projects, side hustles, making money(small amounts) of everything I put my hands on starting from reselling toothpaste, selling even condoms, having a large ebay store that operates in the US and reselling literally everything to playing a role in organising concerts. That was when I was 17-21, I wasn’t making big money, but it was enough for me to live knowing that I was living in north africa. Covid came, I stopped doing everything, I lost my hunger for being a successful entrepreneur and was delaying every idea I had till later, later never came. I focus on moving abroad and finishing my masters, I did, and now I ... Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
