I mention Italy specifically because it looks like the best option relative to where I am (UK). I can deal with pain but I am slightly worried about being in another country completely on my own, and not being able to speak, let alone speak their language. If I'm travelling normally it's fine but after surgery I am guessing the only sounds I'll be able to make are faint muffles for a few weeks. This is wrecking my brain. I budget for the holiday season and getting a guide like this is pointless. I want to see prices. I don’t want to guess and this literally adds to my anxiety on the prices of things. Not to mention I went to Target and some of the tags on products had their prices ripped off and I had to scan to figure out the cost. I almost walked out in sheer frustration. I need to know prices when I go to a store, when I shop for budgeting reasons. Changing prices also make my head spin and I noticed that Amazon has been doing that much more frequently on their site. Thinking like inserts/parallels/ basic relics.. already paid a premium for them here in US but even higher demand in Japan?
