When was your stores last official Christmas party/lunch?

4h ago

I was sat in the canteen this morning, on my lonesome as per (as you know, barely any staff, 3 people in the canteen these days is busy!) and as I looked at the very sorry for itself Christmas tree, with the dreaded day looming, it got me thinking, I genuinely cannot remember when we last had a store wide Christmas party or meal in store, it must be 6 or 7 years since we last had a proper Christmas party? Maybe even 8? Is this the same in every store? Did they go the way of the Dodo when the SSA was disbanded? Or did Covid do the company yet another favour so they could silently cut yet another thing? I'm not on about departments organising their own little get together, as that obviou...

Sexy/Mysterious And Longlasting?!?

4h ago

I want a perfume that feels fully like me. Something dark, mysterious, but sexy and sweet that is long lasting with decent sillage. Almost witchy, except incense patchouli don’t work well on me. Something that envokes fear and attraction at the same time. Think Queen Akasha. I also would prefer it be easily accessible for purchase, like at Sephora or department stores. I’ve worn Prada Paradoxe Intense and Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar in the past, and while I felt they were sexy, sweet, and long lasting, it didn’t give me enough mystery and darkness. I think I might be asking for too much but giving it a shot anyway.

In store stay close hoop earrings.

ARDANT has these listed on their site, but curious if any of the major jewelry stores sell something similar in store? Kay’s, Macy’s, etc. Thanks!

My solo trip to Senji

5h ago

Hi all, After few weeks of working 11 hrs a day, I really wanted to go out, enjoy my solitude and Senji Fort is the one I picked. Last Saturday (13Dec25), I woke up early around 4:30 AM, got to Koyambedu through Metro, took a bus to Kilambakkam and departed around 7 AM there in a Thiruvannamalai bus. The conductor refused to stop at the Senji Fort, however, it is just 2.2 kms from Senji Bus Stop and I found it an easy walk. I reached Senji Entrance around 10:30 AM. And here are some pics I took. There are two fort complexes, Rajagiri Fort and Krishnagiri (Queen's Fort). Rajagiri fort has so much to look like Elephant tank, an old Gymnasium, Magazine (place they made and store explos...

My line of work

5h ago

I do safe casing/tagging and it takes ages unfortunately but I'm getting grief because it takes so long (large HB department) we have a high theft in my store so absolutely sh#t loads has to be cased. Cases get thrown in warehouse so all mixed up which I have to sort before I can even start! 😭 Then rack away all the high value that's been dumped ,Then I have to do a pick list ,then find the items then start casing. A manager had a pop and said I was gone for 2 hrs! I don't know if I was because you lose track of time being stuck in one place....I'm only in one spot casing my life away, yes I'm probably in the warehouse longer than on the shop floor as putting the ...

TM-a-Day: TM14 Blizzard

5h ago

Welcome to TM-a-Day, a daily series where we analyze & discuss the various TMs in the game. Today's TM is TM14: \[Blizzard.\](https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Blizzard\_(move)) As always in-game is my preferred avenue of discussion so that's what I'll be focusing on but feel free to discuss these moves and TMs in the context of competitive, battle frontier, Dex/Trainer Card completion, super contests, challenge runs, etc as well! Blizzard is an Ice-type 120-BP 70-accuracy Special move with 5 PP and a 10% chance to freeze the target. It hits both targets in Doubles and it never misses (unless the target uses Fly, Dig, or Dive) if Hail is active. You can buy t...

[MF] To The Mississippi

6h ago

0 “My fellow Americans, today I am announcing a decision that does not come lightly, and I know what I’m about to say will be a core moment in the nation's history: the United States of America can no longer provide security, freedom, law, and order over all lands west of the Mississippi River. All claims and rule over the territory have been ceded to the Commune of Pacifica, Kingdom of Hawaii, Republic of Alaska, 2nd Republic of California, and 2nd Republic of Texas. To all Americans who wish to flee, a short period of 1 month is available to cross the Mississippi; no weapons are allowed over for the safety of our armed forces, who have experienced enough **** in this civil unrest...

Cheapest way to buy fake Christmas trees? When and where?

6h ago

My wife and I are looking to get a cheap Christmas tree. Not to have our for this year, but to have for next year. Has anyone done this before, and what did you do? A place to buy dad online, after Christmas, to get discounted trees? Looking for general tips. Maybe finding one in person at a brick and mortar store is better? Last year we tried to check stores after Christmas, and I think we waited too long b cause we couldn't find any. We only checked department stores though, maybe that was a bad idea?

Five 2A cert petitions denied

Five Second Amendment cert petitions were denied. I spot-checked the felon-in-possession petitions; the ones I reviewed survived. If they all survived, then Seven-nine 2A petitions survived to see another conference. Click [here](https://open.substack.com/pub/charlesnichols/p/supreme-court-second-amendment-update-422?utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web) for a list of the 84 Second Amendment cert petitions that were distributed to last Friday's conference. **Petitions Denied:** Scott Meyer, Petitioner v. Doesn't Surprise Me

9h ago

We have zero security efforts at our store, unlike WalMart, Target, ect., thats why you won't see a headline like this with their stores being hit for this much. They both have physical, in-store security personal, and a asset protection office with a bank of video monitors getting live, in-store feeds for different departments. Additionally, they require companies put a security sensor INSIDE high value and/or high theft items. I don't want this post blocked so, I won't say how rediculas the out-dated spider wrap thing is. HD just does not want to spend the money and/or, does not care. So, it does not take thefts long to figure that out. https://www.wsaz.com/2025/12/13/1...
