In English, at least where I live, it’s common to refer to stores, shops, etc in the plural, as if you’re referring to all the people in them. Is this done in Spanish too or would it be weird? I live in NY state (not NYC) and I am hearing a ton of reports of bedbugs in my local Walmart and they are on the sales floor. Even though I have not personally seen a bug, am I able to call the health dept to investigate? I know the health dept in my state and area generally does not play around with things like this.
