Starting a South Indian Filter Coffee brand from home in Bangalore — need honest feedback

4m ago

Hello everyone 👋 I’ve been silently following this subreddit for a while and finally decided to post because I’m planning to start a small South Indian filter coffee brand from Bangalore called **Mist & Bean Coffee**. Instead of directly opening a café and burning lakhs on rent/interiors/staff, I decided to start small from home first and validate the product properly. The plan is: Buy a commercial 1HP(\~65k) or 2HP grinder (\~₹85k) Source beans from Karnataka/Coorg & Chikmagalur(Found a vendor from Chikmagalur who offered arabica at \~ 820Rs per kg, Robusta at \~650Rs per kg, Chicory -130 per kg) Roast & grind in small batches for freshness Fo...

Where can I find genuine spare parts for Caterpillar excavators?

7m ago

I visited a spare parts shop to buy Caterpillar excavator parts two days ago. I wanted original parts for my machine. I wanted good quality and long life parts. I also wanted fair price so I do not overpay. But when I checked them I felt dissapointed Some parts looked same but quality was not clear Some sellers talked fast and make me confuse I could not trust them I could not decide confidently Then I visited another spare parts store in the same area. Some workers said original Caterpillar parts are best for engine life Some said aftermarket parts are cheaper but risky I remembered one old repair where wrong part damaged my machine That make me worry more Some boxes looked sealed but I wa...

iPhone 17 Pro Max stock in Tokyo?

7m ago

Hey everyone, I’m going to Tokyo next week and wanted to ask if anyone knows whether the iPhone 17 PM is currently in stock around Bic Camera or Akihabara stores? If it’s hard to find there, where would you recommend checking instead? Preferably somewhere that offers tax-free shopping for tourists. Thanks

Wine trends in 2026

8m ago

One thing I’ve noticed lately is how much wine trends are changing in 2026. People are moving away from just buying “expensive” wines and are paying more attention to taste, sustainability, lower sugar options, and unique blends from smaller wineries. Sparkling wines and lighter reds are becoming super popular too, especially for casual weekends and dinner parties. I recently read a great article about the top wine trends of 2026, and honestly some of the points were pretty interesting: [https://fabulousladieswinesociety.com/the-top-wine-trends-of-2026-that-actually-matter/](https://fabulousladieswinesociety.com/the-top-wine-trends-of-2026-that-actually-matter/) Also, if anyone in ...

Puppeteer’s Ghost [A Comission written by YakiTapioca] Part 3

Hey, Lervua?” a muffled blur called from galaxies away. “Lervua…? Are you…?” A call to it? To the ghost? But why? The ghost was fine. It could sit here all night and not complain. The ghost would never complain. Never again. It knew the price of speaking out. It still had the scars to prove it. *It would have been better for the world if the ghost had never asked Shaal for help.* Help was reserved only for those who deserved it. Help was reser...

It would be so much better if they let us fulfill shopping order where we already are.

13m ago

Why make us drive to a store 10 miles away to shop an order thats literally coming back to be delivered a quarter mile from the supercenter you are already in the parking lot to? Just because the customer ordered from a specific one. Who cares. They should have a "reassign" button. IE once you accept the order, click a button to have it reassigned to a store closer to your current position, and no further away from the customer than the originally requested store. Seems like common sense.

Visiting NYC! Itinerary recs?

19m ago

Hello everyone! I’ll be visiting NYC for the first time this upcoming May 16th weekend. I was planning on going to Yoseka Stationery, but other than that didn’t have any definitive plans. I’m currently concocting an itinerary and would love some input! My Indiana-based brain is a little overwhelmed haha. I like cute little stationery shops with good collections. I’d love to visit stores with a good fountain pen friendly paper/notebook collection, clear matte stickers, and of course pens \^-\^ a good ink/pen testing station would be lovely. I’m also looking at getting one of my nibs custom ground/tuned, so if there’s anywhere in person I can do that, I’d love to visit! Beside...

Best VPN for Public Wi-Fi in 2026: Stay Secure on Any Hotspot

19m ago

While 59% of people use public Wi-Fi to access personal email, only 33% of users actually utilise a VPN to secure their connection. This security gap is particularly concerning given that the US accounted for 52% of global ransomware attacks in 2025. You likely understand the risk of checking your bank balance on a hotel network, but technical jargon often makes finding the **best VPN for public Wi-Fi** feel daunting. We believe privacy is a fundamental right. Securing your digital life should be a seamless, empowering experience rather than a source of confusion. This guide will teach you how to identify the most secure VPN features for public hotspots, focusing on AES-256 encryption and ...

Should we start over? Move from Texas to California. Am I over romanticizing California?

20m ago

Lots of background: My husband and I are 30 years old, we have a 3 year old daughter who's not in school yet. We’ve lived in a small ugly town in Texas our whole lives. I don’t want to sound ungrateful bc this small ugly town has given us a great life. We own a home with an amazing interest rate (2.375%, $1,400 mortgage, 15 yrs), my husband just financed an investment house that brings in an extra $400 a month, we own are cars, and our family is here. My husband has a great job with a rotating schedule that allows me to work part time and get out of the house 3 days a week. My mom and his mom help us out when needed. Like I said, I am extremely grateful for these opportunities a...

“Addressing the smear will make it worse”—when people blindly believe narratives?

21m ago

A graduate professor (grandiose narc—larger than life, eschews accountability at all costs) who used to make creepy comments to me frequently and about me to other students (or harass and belittle me the rest of the time) has been smear-campaigning me for the last three years or so—I assume in an effort to protect his job, seeing as some of his comments were practically Title IX worthy—and it’s gotten so bad I’ve been struggling to find work and continue pursuing my interests (art/theatre). Not to mention attend my place of worship (yep, the campaign even reached my church). He’s quite charming for being so horrifically manipulative—and, as such, is many students’ favorite pr...

Searching for non touristy creative hubs, artisans, vintage/antique goods, craft culture?

22m ago

’m traveling from Los Angeles and will be in Guangzhou visiting family. I’m interested in art, artisan crafts, record shops, vintage/antique shopping, tea/incense culture, architecture, and memorable meals. I run a small concept shop + creative community space in LA focused on slowing down, hospitality, and creative exchange, so I’m especially hoping to find storied handmade goods, ritual objects, independent makers, old shops, markets, studios, or neighborhoods with creative energy — not luxury malls or massive wholesale markets. I’m hoping to find some special vintage jewelry pieces to either rework in a collaboration inspired by Tang Dynasty, or find some inspo for a beverage c...
