the last few times i’ve shopped at wegmans the produce has just absolutely ******. strawberries moldy in 2 days, pre cut watermelon tasting sour, celery flimsy… just very bad all around. anyone else expierence this? anyone have a different go to store?

I would say this is my first actual turning project. It's a small carving mallet from 2.5" white oak. I actually haven't applied a finish yet. I snapped the picture after cleaning with odorless mineral spirits. I bought a 60's Craftsman tube-style lathe for $40, with the table and tools, a few months ago. I've turned some practice sticks and some small features for furniture builds before this. Looking forward to more spindle turning for shop tools and furniture projects.

Hi there, I use my Pacifica for my business, hauling around my items to craft fairs and shows and it can occasionally get a bit rough, especially moving it around on uneven ground. Gonna share some thoughts I had, a bit of analysis of mechanics and my own experiences. Will be a bit of a long post and a bit rambly - you've been warned! my grandma was admitted to the hospital last week, she thought she was having a heart attack but she was actually diagnosed with double pneumonia. she has some memory issues, so she was very confused and agitated in the beginning. we found out about a day or so later that she has AFIB. it quickly became less about the pneumonia and more about her heart and how weak it had become fighting infection. three of her ventricles are not working properly. a few days ago, palliative care was brought in and spoke with my family. we had assumed that my grandma was going to go to a rehab to gain back her strength, and then we would have her go to assisted living. unfortunately, the team let us know that...
