I’m so short. How should I dress myself?

1h ago

Hi. I’m four months on T. Late 20’s. I’ve always struggled to dress myself in anything that made me feel okay. I’ve found that I like dressing masculine and alternative. Belts and chains, band shirts, hoodies, elevator boots, repurposed military items, and leather. The issue is that I’m 5’1, petite and have a large chest. Most cool jackets are too long for my arms. This makes my small hands look even smaller. Anything that would show off my muscle mass also shows my large chest. I do have narrow hips and proportionately large feet, so I have at least something going for me. It’s so hard for me to find masculine clothes that don’t make me look like a child because I’m sw...

Any Vintage Clothes Stores in the Area?

1h ago

I love to shop for vintage clothes and items but having a hard time finding any. Does anyone know if we have any vintage stores in or near Daytona Beach area that sell vintage clothes? There was one place on Beach Street but, it closed down… and I know of Redlight Vintage but, it looks like it just tee shirts? Not exactly what I was looking for in vintage clothing. It doesn’t have to be in Daytona Beach, I’m looking for anything that’s close by as well. I’m hoping maybe someone knows some places that I have yet to find! Thanks for reading!

Greenhouse recommendations in Brussels (narrow plot)

1h ago

Hi everyone! 🌿 I need some help from fellow gardeners in Brussels who have experience with greenhouses. My aunt has a lovely garden, but her land plot is quite narrow, so I’m looking for a greenhouse that is not too wide, sturdy, and well-suited for the climate here. Right now she has a makeshift plastic greenhouse (as seen on the picture), but I’m planning to buy her a proper one as a gift — she’s amazing with her plants but really doesn’t spend money on herself, and I think she deserves something nice. Does anyone have recommendations for: 🌱 Good places or stores near Brussels where I can buy a quality greenhouse (new or used)? 🌱 Specific greenhouse models that are g...

Looking for engagement ring recommendations!

1h ago

Hi everyone! I’m in search of recommendations for an engagement ring and would love your input. **Here’s what we’re hoping for:** * **4 carat radiant cut diamond** (lab‑grown preferred) * **Hidden halo** * **Euroshank** * **Band about 2.5–3 mm wide**, ideally something like a *bubble pavé* style * **Budget:** hoping to stay under **$5,000**, and even less if possible We really want to work with a **private jeweler or smaller company**, not a big box store like Kay’s (even if they have a good warranty). We’d like a warranty, but if the ring is affordable enough, we’d rather just repurchase than spend $10k+ — especially since a local jeweler quoted us around **$16,000**...

Weird shopping experience

1h ago

I had a really strange experience the other day while shopping. I was walking into the store with my basket to buy groceries. Further to my left were 2 boxes of olive oil in glass on top of each other. I guess there was 6 in each box. I was absolutely not close at all, but suddenly it was as if they were lifted out of the box and thrown into the air and landed on the floor in several pieces. The staff came out to me but I had no explanation how this could happen. I continued my shopping and got home safely.

all of the makeup I own at the start of '26, and my thoughts.

1h ago

not in any crazy rush to pan anything, as I really love everything. more just not looking to take anything new in. got quite a bit of this for christmas, and happy with it all. I know I have too much, especially blush, but I feel happy and content with it in a way that I dont want anything new. This is my first year wearing makeup(late 30s) next update will be in april, when I know ill treat myself to a few things for my birthday month, and some of this will be well used. Looking forward to seeing the difference. Things I know about me- I prefer minis sometimes because it gives me a chance to use the whole entire thing before it runs out, and try something new after its empty. I wen...

Mauldin Road/South Pleasantburg intersection: what happened?

1h ago

In the 1980s, the intersection of Mauldin Road and South Pleasantburg Drive was perfectly fine, with a Harris-Teeter, Rite-Aid, Blockbuster, Bi-Lo and local restaurants (Talk of the Town and Ye Olde Fireplace). Now it’s check-cashing stores and pawn shops. Yet Parkins Mill Road is still nearby. The house that I grew up in is worth six times what my parents sold it for not long ago. What went wrong?

Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church (White)

1h ago

John 19:25-34 Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple there whom he loved, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home. After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I thirst.” There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his m...

The Claus Family is a Dutch-Belgian holiday film that follows a young boy who learns his family harbors a remarkable Christmas secret. So Jurgen had brought up records of the previous testing of Probability Bullets. Should I quit?

1h ago

I love framing, and would love to pursue that as a freelance career. I recently got a new job to where I need to reduce my hours at Michael's. Given that I do a lot of art, the employee discount is very handy for me. Should I even stay here? I'm just looking for insight because I love the work I do in the shop, but my store is very toxic

Toronto Festival-goers I want your input on an inclusive, affordable in-person festival fashion store 🌈

1h ago

Hi everyone I run a rave braid and tie-in extension business, and I’m working on opening a **festival fashion store that’s inclusive, affordable, and fun**. The store will offer **curated outfits for all sizes**, including tall and plus-size, all gender identities along with accessories like LED gear, glitter, and kandi bracelets. Everything is **try-on friendly**, and there will be **styling support in-store** to help you mix and match pieces and create your ultimate festival look. Since I don’t sew my own clothing, I’m exploring **collaborating with established brands, wholesale suppliers, and thrifted/vintage sources** to build a curated collection. I want to hear from t...

Bible Versus Pointing to 'Living in the End / Wish Fufilled'

1h ago

To promote faith among Neville Goddard followers, Here are our Bible verses that reinforce living in the end with commentary ## The Bible Repeatedly Teaches “Living in the End” — Not the Process When Neville Goddard speaks about *living in the end*, many assume it is a modern metaphysical idea. It isn’t. The Bible reinforces this principle again and again, and it does so symbolically... Below is a collection of **biblical passages that all point to the same core principle**: **the end is assumed first; the process is hidden; the result appears afterward.** --- ## 1. Ecclesiastes 3:11 (ESV) — The End Is Already Within > *“He has made everything beautiful in its time....

Where to buy dinnerware...

Looking for a local store that sells Noritake or Villeroy & Boch type brands of dinnerware. We love Fiestaware but are doing our best not to buy American brands. We'd like to shop in person. Suggestions welcome!

Day 182 - anyone else knows this panic?

1h ago

I am proud of my 182 alcohol free days. It was my second proper attempt to stop drinking (from the regular bottle of wine / sparkling wine in the evening 5-6/nights a week to occasional binges with friends, never liquor heavy) - and it worked without any temptation. I stopped, dealt with about 5-6 bad nights, high heart rate, and that was it. I would have never thought I would feel this way towards alcohol, but I have a sense of panic and repulsion towards it, it is hard to describe. It is almost a sense of doom whenever I fear I might have come into contact with it (in sauces or jams - two recent examples). I get the bad way of goosebumps, become hyper aware of my body, just plain anxiet...

Help me improve my resume please!

1h ago

Hello! I'm a student currently studying my International Business Management degree. I want to put together a resume for applying to motorsport and automotive careers as that is the path I want to follow, so this is the resume I've put together. I may just be a bachelors student, but I worked hard to build experience and merit during high school so experience wise I'd say I have a few years under my belt. what do you think? all feedback is really appreciated! https://preview.redd.it/kax321kttscg1.png?width=1245&format=png&auto=webp&s=1e8c823c2ab8d57ff051836af225a16eccf852c8 https://preview.redd.it/pfgiibjttscg1.jpg?width=1245&format=pjpg&...

Curious About Applying for a Position as a Sales Associate for the Liquor Control Board

1h ago

Hello everyone, I hope your day has been going well. I’m considering applying for a Sales Associate position with the Liquor Control Board when one becomes available in my county or a nearby location. I have a few questions before embarking on this path, though. If anyone could provide answers to my questions, I’d be incredibly grateful! For those who started as part-time Sales Associates, how long did it take for you to receive consistent, full-time hours? How predictable are schedules after probation? How far in advance are schedules posted, and how often do they change at the last minute? For those living outside of Allegheny and Philadelphia counties, what has upward mobilit...

Toyota Brake Criteria

1h ago

As part of another servicing, the local Toyota Dealer did a free comprehesive multi-point inspection. They said I needed new bakes...pads and rotors, and flush, adding up to about $1500. (Almost double what my local tire shop charges for same.) They stated that all pads measured 4mm. As anyone with a little knowkedge of a Prius braking system, (probably everyone on this chat site) brakes with significant mileage on them (30K in my case) will not have equal wear on front and rear. It seems apparent that 4mm is the standard number they feel they can state, since the typical statement you'll see on brakes is 3mm to 4mm. 4mm is a very conservative number, and certainly not needing immediae ...
