I remember watching some show as a kid where they show security camera footage in a store following a shop lifter putting stuff in their bag, and then security would chase the down. This scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid and I would always think there was some guy following me around on camera in supermarkets. I was reminded of this recently when I was watching footage of Winona Ryder stealing clothes from a store. The camera was stalking her, and then security chased her down and searched her bags. But today you hear security guards are not supposed to touch people, and they’re supposed to let them go. Was it always like that or did that change?
