Okay so in my dug department we only have 2 closers, i close 5 days a week and my coworker closes the other 2. After 6-7 its usually just the closer alone until the end of the night, 10pm. In the past 2 years our department has grown over 50% at least, but we still only have 1 closer at night for at least 3-4 hours everyday. Which means I often get more orders than i can reasonably finish, and Iʻm expected to have time to close too. My question for other closers is, if you have more orders/picks then you know you can finish, do you just stay late, or call customers and cancel/rescheduele? This is kind of a rant but also Im asking for advice. I have a wedding coming up in like six weeks and I need to find something appropriate to wear. I really **** this shelf tag photo system. It's making me not want to do shopping orders at all anymore! I understand why they implemented it, to make sure dashers are really trying to locate the item instead of just saying it's out of stock, but what about when there is no shelf tag for the item?? I used to do CAO (inventory) and price changes for a grocery store. I'm very good at finding odd items and when I can't, it's because it's simply not there! Hi everyone, Could you help clarify the merchandising policy regarding how items should be stacked on the top shelf? I am frequently seeing products stacked two or three high in the front row on the top shelf. This feels like a safety concern, especially for shorter customers who may struggle to safely reach items. Hi guys I found this vintage fur coat from the early 1900’s at the bins🤭🤭! It is real lamb fur but obviously very matted and needs a good brush but don’t even know where to begin with that.. I did a reverse image search on it and nothing else like it. By the brand. I know that it comes from a department store that was in Saint Louis in the established in 1892, called Stix, Baer & Fuller! If anyone knows anything more about it I would love to know more!

The past week in my department, the store lead has been acting as our “coach” cuz the actual coach is on vacation. The store lead doesn’t really know how ODP works & keeps sitting on customers orders like TVs and furniture. Title kind of says it all. For years, onboarding at my workplace was tedious, time-consuming, and scattered across departments... email threads, paper notes, random docs, you name it. I got tired of reinventing the wheel every time we hired someone, so I built a simple onboarding + training OS to make my own job easier (tasks, training library, 30/60/90 check-ins, and a couple audit views so nothing slips).
