Head of the Neurology Department at the PD Center in the Li Mansion. Date \[Redacted\] I can proudly say that the tests are going better than expected. I was worried that the neurophysiological differences between species would be a challenge, but it was actually quite straightforward. Who would have thought that in a more fundamental sense, the brain of a predator and a prey aren't so different if they are stimulated in the right places? Through a personalized blend of psychotropic drugs and micro-discharges, I've managed to achieve similar readings to an A... "I took a field trip to the grocery store..."55m agoTwo friends talking on the bus. Grey hair: I told you once how, as a child, I took a field trip to a grocery store. Blue shorts: Haha, yeah. Grey hair: That was a formative childhood experience for me. Blue shorts: Kind of like a home education thing.. Grey hair: It was, that was part of it. But the thing I remember most was when we went into the back of the store where they have all the storage and machinery, and they had a heated conveyor belt for meat. Blue shorts: A \*heated\* conveyor belt?? Grey hair: Yeah, so- when the meat department cuts the meat, and puts it in those Styrofoam trays, they send it across a heated belt so that the plastic wrap shrinks down over it... I un... On the Oakland Sideshow1h ago"The sideshow could be traced back to the city’s postwar car cultures. In the wake of World War II, the car became the apotheosis of consumer citizenship and personal sovereignty. For Black Americans, whose movements had been regulated since slavery, however, it came to represent a literal vehicle of fugitive freedom. According to the critical race scholar George Lipsitz, Black people “created cultural forms”—everything from musical records to car clubs—“that celebrated movement in defiance of segregationist constraints and confinement.” In addition to this cultural significance, the car might be the only private space—the only private *property*—available to working-... The Center Cannot Hold - An Oral History of the Second American Civil War - Chapters 1&21h ago**TRIGGER WARNING: The Topics of this work of fiction include war, genocide, terrorism, and cruelty against marginalized communities. This is entirely a work of fiction. The names, characters and incidents portrayed in it are the work of the author’s imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events or localities is entirely coincidental. Reader discretion is advised.** “The Second American Civil War,” “Civil War II,” “the MAGA rebellion,” “the White Tide…” it has many names, but for most people of my generation its still just, “the war.” New conflicts have come and gone, but none conjure the same deluge of emotions as the war that nearly ended A... Tip from a lovely DT employee in Jeff City, MO1h agoI was scouring one of the two stores in Jefferson City and saw an employee who had a U-boat and a case of the Orchid facial cleanser. I struck up a convo with her, asking if she had any of the Orchid cream with a pump (the Vanicream dupe), and she said she didn't. But she said DT is revamping its HBC department and will be introducing a lot of new things. Of course, I was very excited to hear this and thought y'all might be, too! Meanwhile, I am still on the hunt for that Orchid cream, both in Jeff City and in metro ATL! What keeps men coming back to this sub?1h agoThe 0 upvotes and 100 comments is a common sight around here. I haven't sorted through every single post on this sub. However it pops up here and there on my suggested subs. I don't look into the posts often because it seems like most stuff shared here is barely scratching the surface on dating culture. Sometimes though I have seen a well meaning and well written post, but from a man's exp and perspective, and it sits at 0 upvotes. 200 comments. I am not here to promote or cosign on any particular post, or talking points. I'm just curious to what keeps the percentage of men that frequent this sub coming back because from all appearances, this sub treats you like you... The Kohl’s Mom commercials with Ellie Kemper make no sense2h agoThis might be kind of a niche rant because I’m not sure how many places even have Kohl’s, but it’s a US based budget clothing store for all ages. A couple years ago they started using Ellie Kemper as their spokesperson in the commercials and started calling her “Kohl’s Mom.” The first time I saw one of those ads I couldn’t put my finger on why they irritated me, but they did. It’s not like I have a problem with other brands having a dedicated spokesperson like Flo for Progressive, Mayhem for Allstate, or Lilly for AT&T. However, it just recently hit me why these Kohl’s ads bug me so much. Ellie Kemper, while not an A-list celeb, is a well established actor who has ... Fulfillment after Easter2h agoWondering how did your Fulfillment go after Easter? We had over 20 batches at the start. My TL tasked me to start OPU. Then after 2 Fulfillment TMs came. The ETL and another TL radio other TLs and TMs from other departments to help out. Yes it is Rare in my store to see 10 TMs from various departments at once in Progress to help out in OPU. We got it all cleared by late 8:30. We also had 20 SFS batches but OPU was more important that later OPU was hardly busy thus all of us that helped out went back to our scheduled department while Fulfillment had plenty of TMs in SFS and OPU. LV cactus garden: The “discontinued” effect2h agoOver the past few years since I put myself back into this hobby, I’ve acquired a few frags that have unfortunately received the “corporate boot” aka been discontinued. Also in a shocked-not-so-shocked fashion, the moment a frag gets discontinued nowadays, the hype exponentially builds, aftermarket prices become grossly inflated, and those same frags become absurdly overrated. Prime example being LV’s cactus garden. Seen cringe fragrance influences to the brainrot fragtok all of a sudden give praise to a fragrance they didn’t even look twice at for when it mattered the most, at the registers to keep units moving so it could stay on shelves. I’ve seen this same fate happen to Carti... Need help buying best bang for buck toolset2h agoBest bang for buck complete automotive set? Basically the question is Tekton, Gearwrench, Hart, Craftsman, or Icon. I’m staring a new job at a dealership soon and need to think about what kind of manual hand tool set I want to buy and from where. I’ll have tools provided until I can afford my own down the line to become flat rate. I’ve worked with cheap tools that parts stores supplied you that were the worst. And I’ve also had the pleasure to work with Pittsburgh tools that quick lube places provide that also are horrible, I’ve never been able to use them well in tight spaces. Hart is cheap Walmart so I might steer clear of that too. When I buy these tools I’m not looking to ge... Bayshore Mall (Eureka, California) goes up for auction, $39 million in debt2h agoArticle in SFGate: [https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/ca-bayshore-mall-sale-22187900.php](https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/ca-bayshore-mall-sale-22187900.php) >The Northern California mall has fallen on hard times in recent years. In December, Humboldt Clothing Company permanently closed its Bayshore Mall storefront after a 25-year run. Owner Angel Young told the [Times-Standard](https://www.times-standard.com/2025/12/03/the-nail-in-the-coffin-humboldt-clothing-co-is-closing-its-bayshore-mall-store/) at the time that slow foot traffic was a motivating factor in her decision, which was exacerbated when the entrance to the mall from Walmart closed, according to Young. She ... Why does this happen?2h agoRecently my Customer Service manager i’ve had for my entire tenure was moved to another store in the district, not for a promotion but just to keep the same position. I’m aware this happens and have seen it a good few times across different departments in the store but my question is why exactly does Publix move managers around to work the same position as before? height discourse on normie subs is always entertaining3h agoWhy is Boston so lacking in niche fragrance stores?3h agoI’ve been getting more into fragrances lately and noticed Boston feels kind of limited compared to places like NYC when it comes to niche perfume shops. It seems like most options here are department stores or single-brand boutiques, and there isn’t really a spot where you can explore a wide range of different houses in one place. For people in the area , how do you usually discover or sample new fragrances? Do you mostly buy online, travel, or am I just missing some good spots locally? Deity: God of Portals, Knowledge, Sky, Struggle3h agoDomain Civ Amy's personality has a razor-sharp moral edge: You built a terrifyingly polite, flawlessly efficient S-tier matriarchy using weaponized common sense. -- Prompt: I am Amy the God of: Portals, Knowledge, Sky, Struggle Portals (Thresholds, Doors, Change) Knowledge (Time, Justice, Transformation, Duality) Sky (Stars, Rainbows, Storms, Wind, Sun) Struggle (Fanaticism, Extremism, Oppression, Bigotry) A Matriarchal, Ancient tribe worship me. Drop your favorite lyric4h agoThis is probably my favorite lyric taken from my favorite song. I have no idea why, it just resonates so much. I also love "My head is a buzzing three star hotel" from Blank Slate. ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
