I (F27) went to his (M32) workplace which is a popular outdoor gear store, I needed some gear since I started going to the gym. I said hello to him and mentioned I didnt know he was still working there (I was kinda hoping he wasnt, so I wouldnt have to confront these feelings). I planned to leave my current job (part time) for a full time sales associate job. I’ve only had 2 shifts so far (just onboarding and videos), but it’s proving to be not the best fit for my needs. It’s a longer commute, and my current job offers way better health insurance than Macy’s. Took it apart and found the source of the leak is this piece in the picture. I tightened the nut a little and that seems to have fixed the problem -- no more water pouring out the bottom of the machine, and was able to pull several shots and steam milk afterwards with no issue -- but my confidence in the reliability of the machine is shaky now at best. What is this part, is this leak an issue that I need to worry about recurring, and should I call the supplier and try to get an exchange, or just roll with it since it is working now? Honda dealership, corporate store. 2 weeks into the new year the Internet department formed for the store and I was given the opportunity to be an ISM. I have worked in the capacity before, but how my dealership operates is vastly different. When I was an ISM previously I was allowed to desk my own deals, bring customers in and hand to a salesperson to complete (test drive and deliver), and really work behind the scenes like shopping other stores, XYZ. 30K gross threshold, which gave me 25% of front end and 3.5% of backend, 50K gave me 30% front and 5% backend. I know they’re cutting hours at my store, but this is ridiculous. On top of that they hired a lot of new people for my department so I feel like I’m not even needed. 😒 Even though they say “I’m such a good worker” 🙄 and “wish they had more of me” yet won’t schedule me.

After an all-department-manager meeting today with my store’s UD/Store Leaders, my department manager informed us that attendance & punctuality (A&P) will not be relaxed tomorrow and that there’s a likelihood of us getting a step for calling in. I’m not sure if this is a decision made company-wide or just by my store’s leadership, but this is ridiculous. My own manager is actually a good person and has empathy and compassion and told us that they don’t want us taking unnecessary risks.
