In the r/StopDrinking sub, people often say I Will Not Drink With You Today (IWNDWYT, I think). I think we should say that here too, for solidarity! Today I returned something I’d gotten on Amazon using the Kohl’s dropoff, and the Kohl’s lady gave me a 25% coupon to the store. I’m a total Kohl’s mom, but I threw the coupon in the trash on the way out because I know I do not have money for more clothes right now. Proud moment.

Looking for some guidance on what to do in regards to this insanity that's been going on lately. I work front end as a cashier at Walmart and have been there for about 6 months (believe I'm like a week away from my exact 6 months.) Hello all, some of you may recall my post about a month ago about getting promoted to D28 DS. This one is gonna be more of a venting situation while looking for some advice. Let me preface by saying the circumstances for me have been a little unusual. My first two weeks as DS were hectic not because of the department but because we had two big walks coming up back to back (positive ones) that we had to prep for. My training modules didn't drop until after that (this is probably common) so I was effectively 3 or more weeks behind on that. I applied back to Home Depot strictly because it was for a lot associate/ loader. A few years ago I worked MET in a different store, I just got re hired in a new store as a part time lot but working 40 hours… never once in my interview was it mentioned I would have to do different departments and be forced to get my reach truck license otherwise I wouldn’t have even came back to the company nor would have I accepted the pay I took as a loader… I’ve worked one week and I’m already being scheduled multiple days in order fulfillment. I’m at my wits end with my job! I work retail and I’m tired of it, but I don’t know how to pivot out of it. Pay with my company for almost 3 years started out making 15.50 an hour . First evaluation gave me an $.85 raise, I was then promoted to full-time and had a title change and I received an $.80 raise for that. I then had to transfer stores and had my second evaluation, which gave me a $.60 raise. After my evaluation, they changed my class to what I’m doing now, but I receive no raise for that. Was looking at the Neo in a department store and thought I’d fully spec a MBP to see how much it came out at… so best part of $11,000 dollars/£8000. £99 of which is for a charger?? I’ve used second hand MBP for years, we can dream right. 😂 I’m looking at an M2/16” for a tenth of the price knowing it will be good enough for my needs, currently getting by with a 2019/15” which is still holding its own tbf. Just couldn’t believe the power block isn’t included! On a side note the Neo I was using feels very capable for light use for sure.
