Hello, all! I'm interviewing in a few days. I applied for the front end positions because I have over eleven years of experience with all of it (register, self checkout, customer service counter, etc). But, I was informed that all front end positions were filled, and that they only needed help for meat department or 2nd shift dairy stocker. I'm really anxious about this​, now. I've done stocking and thrown small trucks at my last job (convenience store) but I don't know if I'm a good fit for either of these positions, and I'd like some insight on the ups and the downs, and maybe help on deciding which I should try for. Hey hey! I worked in the deli department in Michigan from 2011-2013 and was hired back as a cashier at my local store in 2026. A LOT has changed in the 14 years! There’s actual training now! Few questions: When does my employee discount kick in? I was allowed to use my original Kroger card and I was told that we can use our Alt ID now for the discount to apply, is this true? Does Management really give you time to do the Fresh Start questions during your shift?

So today our department was BUSY, like there were no TC’s or staff work phones or anything available (I don’t have my own work phone yet). When I asked my team lead for a device they handed me this. The layout of the app looked weird so I clicked out of it to make sure I was in GIF and not some other app. But this phone only had an app called GIF 2.0 It was weird but ok, I went into a pick walk and holy. ****. I started the whole process in September of 2024 and surprisingly the biggest hurdle was getting my deceased mother’s birth certificate from my county (Cook county - I live in Chicago). I work the floral department in a grocery store. Corporate treats it like it’s a friggin boutique. They send me an egregious amount of excess of not just floral and house plants but also hardwoods- stuffed animals, vases, candles, ceramic dinosaur plant pots, giant cherub statues, beanie babies, key chains, pens, and I mean the list goes on. If you didn’t like DGX Spark before, then you’re gonna **** it even more now that it’s $700 more expensive than it was last month. Nvidia just bumped up the price of the DGX Spark 4 TB Founder’s Edition by $700 (on their direct-to-consumer online shop). Supply chain economics for RAM and SSD components are now likely being reflected in the price of the DGX Spark and its clones. I know not a lot of people here don’t care for the memory bandwidth of the Spark, but now that the Mac Studio 512GB version is no more, Spark may have become slightly more appealing for some people, but now with this price increase….probably not. 49 days into the run, which is essentially my best playthrough to date with 33% sprinters enabled. VERY lightly modded, with mostly QoL additions. Loot table is default, nothing has been altered. The kill count is relatively low, as I have spent more than half of the time moving containers and tiles back and forth. Very minor exceptions were acquired through the tile manager option, such as wallpapers and graffiti. Any other stores have next to no copy center staffing? Of our 11 employees (this includes GM, AM, RSS, MIS, and pms) we have 3 people for copy (1 meeting the sup). Never do we have a day where there is someone in that department until the store closes often having no one in the dept for the last 1-3 hours or **** even had a few days without anyone running the dept. During these times we're basically told self-service, shipping, and pickups are all that are in the table no production.

I just got a letter in the mail today from the department of human services saying I have a telephone interview scheduled on the 11th to discuss "multiple purchases made outside of Pennsylvania". This is extremely concerning because I have never used my card outside of Pennsylvania, I've never even left Pennsylvania. I order all of my groceries online because I'm blind and I can't go to the store on my own. What should I do?
