Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Kohls Store Latest Community Discussions About Kohl'sphoto department3h agoHow do you all deal with the extreme expectations in the photo department? I work in a very busy store and customers want me to do their photo orders at the kiosk for them at the kiosk instead of self service or putting the orders online. With two maybe three employees in the middle of the day all it takes is one person like this to stop the whole show and cause a line of about 8 or ten people. This happens whenever there is a refund, a passport photo, a bill payment, or god forbid someone wants change from the self service lottery machine... Issue 1 — The Narváez Disaster Begins3h agoEntrada On Good Friday of 1528, Pánfilo de Narváez stood on the pristine sands near what we now call Tampa Bay, surveying the land his men had claimed in the name of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Spain. A terrifying assembly of armored men and beasts disembarked their ships, their banners embroidered with crosses and crests fluttering in the coastal breeze. This was to be their triumphant conquest of La Florida, a territory stretching—at least in their imaginations—from the Gulf Coast of Florida to the northern reaches of Mexico. Yet, unbeknownst to them, their journey had already taken a cruel twist of irony. A storm had blown their fleet off course, and they had landed a... When I met Marvin Ellison Story (Home Depot)3h agoBack in the days I used to work for home depot I was the Lumber DS and our SM told us that Marvin Ellison was going to visit our store. for the next month, we had every SM/ASM/DS in the district come help out store to be walk ready, what did we do to get ready for Marvin? Paint every wall in and outside the building Paint parking line dividers painted curbs outside the building Did massive landscaping Cleaned every single nook and cranny you can imagine in a store Buffed the floors Striped all merch to a T in ever bay Cleaned the bathrooms so much we rivaled Buc-Eees bathrooms Every single light in the building was changed and dusted using a scissor lift we put plant shine on all t... Who do I talk to about getting a department transfer?3h agoHello, so I’ve been working at my grocery store for about a few years now. There has been some major changes over the last few months. New store director, new store manager, people coming and going. I’ve been very loyal and dedicated to my department. But honestly, I just, like I’m being driven up a wall. People have came and left, we’re short staffed, they’re a lot of customer and more often times than not one person behind the counter. New work added to our existing workload. I’m trying my best and working hard but it’s getting overwhelming. They’re not only changing the days, it was the same two days off for a few weeks or so. Now it’s two different day of this week. Now... My drone landed on a first floor balcony I can't reach unless I have access to the upper floors of the building4h agoAbout a month ago, I was flying my drone around my local High Street and it accidentally landed in a balcony area on the first floor of an old department store building. Unfortunately, although the ground floor is still being used, (by an Eastern European groceries shop), there's no way to access the upper floors from anywhere within that store, I've got a floor plan from a letting agency, but when I follow the floorplan to the staircase at the back of the store, the access to the staircase appears to have been blocked up. There is a shuttered entrance at the front of the building leading directly to a staircase to all floors, but since it's shuttered, it's of no use to... Am I the only one whose mom thinks men deserve trophies for just existing?”4h agoThe other day she told me that if I see a mess, even if I didn’t make it, I should clean it. She also said that if I don’t clean, I’ll end up with roaches. I told her if someone else is the one making the mess, then they’re the one who would cause that problem—not me. Somehow I’m getting blamed For someone else being “dirty” when I didn’t even create the mess in the first place. The math is not mathing. Then when I said the person who made the mess should clean it, she told me Out of nowhere that when I get a boyfriend I’ll have to clean up after him too. I asked her, “What is he, three years old?” Because I thought the goal was to date an adult, not adopt a toddler.... Warehouse flooding destroyed a large portion of our paper roll inventory5h agoI work in a warehouse that stores different kinds of paper materials, especially large paper rolls used for printing and packaging. Today something happened that shocked everyone in the department. Our warehouse got flooded. Paper and water obviously do not go well together, so a lot of the paper rolls that were stored there are most likely damaged beyond recovery. Some of these materials had just arrived recently, and seeing them soaked was painful because we all know the amount of money tied up in that inventory. What makes the situation even stranger is that this warehouse has never had flooding issues before. People are still trying to understand how water even managed to enter the bu... Please Help Share: The dark side of Seattle Goodwill that management doesn't want you to see.5h ago**I spent 15 years at Seattle Goodwill (Evergreen). Here is the truth they don’t want you to know. \[PLEASE SHARE\]** I am posting this on behalf of a number of people who have suffered under this organization. **Please HELP SHARE this and help spread the word: STOP SHOPPING AT SEATTLE GOODWILL!** I worked for this company for nearly 15 years, and I am telling you firsthand that it is a toxic, fake environment. They have mastered the art of using "community help" as a shield to keep the public from seeing how much the people at the top are actually pocketing. **The "Thrift Grift" at the Top:** While the "grunt workers" doing the heavy lifting make next t... One Day Trip to Palo Alto, California5h agoHey, I'm a master student from Europe in UCSC, Santa Cruz, and I'm using my weekends to travel and visit the area around here in California. So far it's been so nice, California is beautiful! This time I post my last trip, which was to Palo Alto. I like to start my one day trips early in the morning, so then I can use the entire day. I started the day taking the 17 Highway bus at 06:45am from Santa Cruz to San Jose Diridon Station, from where I took the Caltrain all the way up to Palo Alto. This took me around 1.5 hours (1 hour bus and 30 mins train, approx). The price for the bus is $14.00 for a day ticket, and $12.50 for the Caltrain (day tickect as well). Arriving to Palo... Rude customers are rude5h agoOk, so I work at a warehouse store the kind that keeps pallets in the overhead and doesn't carry any in store merchandise in the back. I recently hit my 6th anniversary of working there, and thought I'd share a pair of memorable interactions I've had. Note that both of these happened years ago, probably within my first year of this job. Back then, I used to be a delivery associate. Basically, the person who gathers products together for online orders and sets up deliveries so they can be loaded onto trucks the next day. As a result, I would wander around the entire store to grab things, but usually wouldn't have any experience in the department I was in. I got hired ri... I’m stepping down, and I can’t wait to have less stress.6h agoI’m currently a PFDS ATL, stepping down to an OW role in a different store nearby. I took the ATL promotion to move states and receive the L2 moving package. Soon after starting at my new store, my store leadership let go of my TL and left me with barely any training as an ATL in a department that store leadership has given up on years ago. I signed a contract to step down, found a PFDS OW position nearby, will be taking $1 pay cut but will have a consistent schedule with WAY less stress! I guess I’m just saying this to say, if you enjoy WF benefits, but you’re not comfortable or happy in your current position, there’s always something else! And stepping down is not a bad thing. ... Career/future advice6h agoSorry if this is a ramble but I’m unsure where else to post this or get advice and I figured it’s ADHD related so I thought I’d shoot my shot here. I’m a recent highschool grad and I’m having issues with jobs. My first job was a local pizza place I stayed at for a year but eventually quit due to (TLDR) horrific management. The owner fired every department leaving the chain of command to go from Owner straight to Shift lead, made budget adjustments which meant the kitchen air conditioner couldn’t be lower than 78 in a pizza kitchen during the summer, and before HR got fired, there was a meeting with HR because a manager had a lot of misplaced anger to me and the other young girls... Something happened at Gatwick?6h agoPlane stationary on runway with lots of ground vehicles around it, and inbound flights holding 「ぷるぷるももの東京ライフ!」 Episode 1 「東京の朝と、ぷるぷる通勤!」 (A Tokyo Morning a...7h agoScene 1 — Morning at Momo’s Apartment Location: Nishitokyo City – Momo’s small apartment Time: 7:05 AM Soft sunlight shines through the curtains. Inside the tidy one-room apartment, Momo Hoshizaki (星崎もも) slowly wakes up. She stretches both arms above her head. Her sleepy stretch makes her belly wobble gently. ぷわん… ぷるん… Momo blinks and looks down. Her cheeks turn red. もも: 「あぅ…朝からぷるぷる…」 Translation: “Ah… wobbling already this morning…” She sighs shyly. On the desk beside her bed are: • manga volumes • a small plant • a laptop • yesterday’s manuscript pages This is the peaceful home of a young editoria... "Strix and Scholar" narrative game7h agoHello my fellow romantasy enjoyers! I've always been an avid reader of all things romantic (I don't think there is a romance sub-genre I haven't touched), but if there's a fantasy element to the story—that's a huge bonus point. Even better if there's also a mystery/crime subplot. That's why, when I started writing my own stories, Romance + Fantasy + Mystery became my go-to mixture in coming up with ideas. The thing is, you see… I'm writing for games because I find nonlinear narration fascinating. And my husband happens to be an amazing artist and is not scared of programming (he's soo cool! ♥), and it was our dream, from the day we met, to... Knitting for charitable donation7h agoHi - Just wondering with all the thrift store balls of partially used yarn I’m seeing around , does anybody make hat, mittens, scarves etc specifically to donate to charity? And if so where do you donate? I just finished my first fingerless mitt in years and did it with some thrift store leftovers, which got me to thinking. I myself do not need a thing in this department, but I need to keep my hands busy, so I’d love to be able to use thrift store cast-offs to benefit someone else. I’m no great talent at this craft, but if it can keep a cold head warm, who cares about style? The amount of slack Ecolab gave my new store over my old one is bullshit7h agoMy original store closed a short while back. We were a pretty slow store, we knew it was probably coming eventually. At that store, Ecolab was on our *** (look, it’s food service, it’s understandable). Even a messy floor drain to the sink was a mark against us. We kept that place about as spotless as it could be with frequent use. Fast forward to my new store. They have to keep the steam table wells covered up constantly because the water is brown and has food floating in it. The cooler shelves have little spots of mold all over them, and so does the chicken room. WHERE THERE IS SO MUCH OPEN FOOD. One of the knives in the chicken room was just covered in mold. Oil was leaking (and at t... Governor Katie Hobbs Legislative Action Update - March 13, 20267h agoGovernor Katie Hobbs took the following legislative action: # Signed --- ## HB2312 — patriotic youth groups; school access. *AKA: Military Youth Group School Access* ### What This Bill Does This bill requires public schools to give special access to 'patriotic youth groups' - specifically military-affiliated organizations like Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, and JROTC programs. Schools must allow these groups to address students during school hours and distribute materials directly to students. Principals can approve which groups speak, but cannot discriminate against any qualifying patriotic organization. **Source:** [AAF](https://arizonansagainstfascism.com/fascist-laws.ht... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
