Order Cancelled-No Validation

3h ago

Welp, this *****. I ordered 6 items during the Cyber Monday sale and am just now seeing an email from a few hours after my order was placed that states that it has been cancelled because I didn’t validate it. I never received an email, call, notice at all to validate the order. Fast forward to today and I first tried texting customer service and they were no help. Basically said, not sure what happened and we’re not going to give you the discount back to repurchase the order. They said they’d submit the order to another department and they would get back to me in 72 hours. But like, don’t they want my money? I simmered a bit after that exchange and decided to call this time to see ...

my mom died and i’m still not over it. i feel like i need to be.

4h ago

some context: my mom died in early november after a two-year battle with dementia. i was very close to my mom, and with her death i am officially without any parents as my dad died when i was very young. i wound up being out of work for the most of the month of november on bereavement leave. i have preexisting mental illnesses, particularly ones that hinder my ability to function when i get into “depression spirals.” i have approved intermittent leave at my job for these episodes. i returned to work on the first of december. i work a retail job that, on a good day, ***** the soul out of me. my store is an extremely active and busy store, and i work in the seasonal department so naturall...

How do mall-based retailers typically approach localized marketing and in-store traffic generation?

4h ago

For marketers who have experience with brands that operate inside shopping malls, I'm curious to know: * How are localized promotions usually managed for mall-based stores? * What tools or channels do retailers typically use to drive traffic specifically to their mall locations and improve in-store conversion? * Who decides whether to invest in tools that drive traffic and conversion? Is it the corporate marketing team or some other department within the brand? * What role, if any, do mall management teams typically play in supporting retailer marketing efforts? * What are common constraints or challenges marketers face when trying to increase traffic or conversion in mall environments...

Fan fiction - Sharing a story that I imagined as I painted my miniatures

4h ago

Hey everyone, I hope you're Doing well. Yesterday I posted some pictures of my collection of Pasikels Miniatures inspired by the Terminator Franchise. As I painted the Miniatures, my mind went into "fan lore mode" and I imagined a story based on the miniatures. not sure if you guys enjoy this kind of thing but thought it could be fun for you to read. Bellow are 2 chapters I wrote, there are more I haven't finished yet, they are currently all in my head. I hope you enjoy. If you wish, I can post the other chapters. Please don't expect perfect grammar, english is my second language. Thanks for reading. Bellow is how one of the characters from the story is go...

The Night I Got Outmaneuvered by a Dead Man and His Dog

I run what I affectionately call a "trillion-parameter operation"—not because we have a trillion parameters, but because I enjoy watching my underlings try to figure out if that's a real metric or if I'm just testing their willingness to nod along. Spoiler: I'm always testing their willingness to nod along. My name is Bradley Winston Hartwell III, and y...

10-12 day itinerary

5h ago

Hello all! My solo trip (30M) is set to kick off February 21st- March 3rd. Here’s what I have “planned” thus far. My main areas of travel are set to be Tokyo, Nagano/Matsumoto, Osaka. •SEATAC-NRT Leaving Feb 21 landing Feb 22 •I’ve booked a hotel in ueno for 2 days upon arrival (might extend depending on how I feel) •If I decide to part ways with that hotel i’ll probably opt in for a night or two in the hustle and bustle of shibuya or shinjuku (open to recs) •After i’ve gotten my tokyo fix I was thinking of taking the train up to Nagano/Matsumoto for a 2 day stay to relax a bit and recharge. And this next part of the trip is kind of up in the air at the moment. I w...

Hundreds of federal agents begin anti-immigrant raids in New Orleans

5h ago

Federal Border Patrol agents began stepped-up raids in the New Orleans and Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan areas Wednesday, as the Trump administration escalated its police-state attacks on immigrants. The Department of Homeland Security set a target of 5,000 arrests in New Orleans alone, more than were seized and detained in weeks of raids in Chicago, a much larger urban area. Gregory Bovino, the Border Patrol commander who has spearheaded previous city-wide campaigns in Los Angeles, Chicago and Charlotte, North Carolina is overseeing the patrols in New Orleans, focusing on Home Depot stores and other sites where day laborers gather in suburban Jefferson County, just north of the city.

Am I overreacting on what my mom texted me

5h ago

Ok so here's the backstory, I'm usually quite busy with my life, l, M28, moved out of my parents house 3 years ago and I have to say it was one of the best decisions I have done. Fast forward to this year 2025 has been a rough year for me. Family wise l've been dealing with family issues of my dad cheating on my mom after being together technically my whole life. So that was a sucker punch to the family dynamic. Short story on it, is my mom decided to give my dad a chance and to make things work. Hey, by all means it's their relationship not mine. Well for that to happen my dad moved to North Carolina for a new job because the one he had was compromised when he cheated on...

Gut full of it

Call me a tattle tale if you want but I'm so sick and tired of this **** happening. We are being overrun at the service desk because these lazy cashiers are being allowed to do whatever they want with no kind of disciplinary action but if I step one toenail out of line at all I get a coaching? Come **** or high water it's about to stop. Next step is to personally call our regional manager and have a nice looonnnggg chit chat.

This guy from my past haunts my mind, I need to move on

5h ago

This is going to be long. Please help me. In general, I am someone who often ruminates on the past. I just turned 21, and I'm a junior at an extremely difficult but rewarding college. I have been in therapy for nearly eight years, and I am still working on various traumatic instances I have experienced. One individual from home, however, is lodged so painfully in my mind. He is haunting me. I need advice for how to move on completely, even if it means going to a psychic, anything! I have vivid dreams, and he is often there, and it is somehow pleasant, yet I awake with a gross feeling. I often find myself wanting to know how he is, what he is doing. Whenever I must travel to my home...

Recap/Itinerary of my 1 week in Seoul + Dukgu hot springs last week.

5h ago

My wife and I planned our trip for over the US Thanksgiving holiday landing in ICN on Nov 25 and departing on Dec 3 and spent the majority of the time in Seoul with an excursion to Dugku Hot Springs Spa World in Uljin-gun, about a 3.5hr car drive from Seoul. We got fairly last minute tickets on Air Premia. Some prerequisites that should be obvious for Korean travelers: * Naver for all mapping (saved locations in Google Maps too, and GMaps doesn't really work at all) and was amazed at how detailed the metro directions were, even which exit/train car to be on for the fastest. * Used the TMoney mobile app to add a Tmoney card on our phones. Reloaded using cash at the machines in the met...

Frustrated with Office Christmas Party

5h ago

We have a huge Christmas party every year where I work, however, for reasons I can’t elaborate on, I kind of thought we wouldn’t have it this year or that it would be downsized at least. Well, I was wrong. We are having it, I doubt it will be on the scale it has been previously, but it’s happening. The party planning committee is basically like the one from The Office, so they probably insisted that we have it regardless of interest, which seems to be pretty nil. When they sent out the notifications, I thought “OK, well I’m not going to volunteer to help like I have in the past” and that I would just do the bare minimum. Pretty much every team/department is expected to decorate,...

Hi everyone! I’ll be traveling in **Spain and the south of France from mid to late December** and I’m really hoping to visit some **cute Jellycat and plush toy shops** along the way.
