To add a bit of context I work at a Target and have for about a year. I work in food & bev pushing primarily dry food. Recently the workload has been absolutely unbearable. The "expectations", have been a Uboat per hour, a minute per box. Which was manageable up until lately. The key difference is the size of the Uboats, they're averaging 7 ft tall and have an excess amount of back stock (merchandise that needs to be documented in the back room) Furthermore I now have Uboats that don't make any type of cohesive sense, the product is spread out amongst at least 3-5 different aisles making my tasks harder and longer to complete. Hello all! I was just offered a part-time job at Safeway. I really need a job, and I have experience in retail and grocery stores. I know what I'm getting into, LOL. But I have some questions: \*I was hired as an SCO cashier, which is fine, as I dislike straight cashiering. How difficult/annoying is this job? \* If I want to later work in another department, like bakery or floral, how hard is it to switch? \* Will I be able to get a regular 20 to 25 hours a week? The hiring manager assured me I would, but I also know that stores do cut hours. I have full availability, which I think is the reason I got hired so quick. On February 15, 2026, a Missoula Police Department Officer responded to the Town Pump on N. Reserve Street for a report of a robbery. I was pushed into this position by my store manager and was told by him and the DL that ours wouldn't be a problem, that front store and pharmacy would work out my schedule. Several days ago I purchased a refurbished S9 tablet. The tldr is that it is bricked with Sennco DPC, a Security app designed for retail stores to protect their demo models in the event of theft. You basically can't do much with it except what you can do in a store. You can log into your Google account but you cannot install any software. It's basically useless. Hello! I am starting to research strollers and I really want to try some out in person. I live in a rural area that has no department stores or baby gear stores.
