I'm thinking about taking a seasonal job on Nantucket but I'm worried about the general cost of living/what to do for fun that isn't lobster and department stores. Also, what do other seasonal workers do? Are there "spots" like Dirty Dancing??

I’m currently in proactive services and have been for like almost 4 months and I barely get any shifts like I only get 1 shift a week for 3 hrs and if I’m lucky I get asked to do another shift on a Saturday. Girlfriend (soon to be fiancé!) did an excellent job for Christmas. A little larger than I’d normally wear and I prefer automatics, but I can still pull this off, Citizen is a solid brand, it is a pretty dial, and the eco drive/radio controlled movement is wildly cool! I’m working a ****** part time grocery store job while I look for something better, stocking in the produce department. It’s pretty chill for the most part but obviously still *****. Our assistant manager in meeting today said in the fall light bulbs are going to the back of the store. cleaning products taking their spot in the front of the store. The gift center will go in garden. Our hardware department is at the opposite end of the store. That's a lot of walking for the hardware associates. I feel bad for them.

Does anyone know when the hiring freeze will be over? I feel like it’s been over a month at this point, idk how our store is surviving right now. Every department is severely understaffed and they won’t hire or allow for transfers until the freeze is over.
