So I have been applying to operations coordinator roles in NYC (I know the space is very competitive), but I have been getting rejections left and right and some of the job posting actually fit the description of what I was doing, but still getting rejected or ghosted. Is there a way to improve or flip this whole resume around to at least get some kind of response? I worked in retail and trying to transition to more of a corporate role supporting the business using what I learned in the retail industry. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is more a rant out of sheer frustration. I have applied to over 300 jobs on LinkedIn since January, over 40 on Indeed, and I have had everyone of my friends offer me a referral at their company. Out of all that I only had a handful of interviews, never moved past the second round. All of a sudden, I got multiple interview offers all throughout the week. Is anyone else’s store manager with holding there gratis ?? She literally is putting it at her own rewards number. For example, she is doing 70% BI instead of what the district number is which is 50%. We are also expected to have our Kohl’s rewards at a 40% when the district number is 25% now all of my Sephora people are meeting these goals, but she is still withholding our gratis because we are not meeting her expectations if anyone else dealing with this and is this against policy for Sephora.

In a few weeks we will have a 10h20 minute layover in Incheon. Our flight from Bangkok is due to arrive at 8:45am and our flight home to Canada departs Seoul at 7:05pm. We’re not able to take advantage of the free airport tour, and are exploring a private tour to include airport pick up and some key sighting, with return to the airport. Any recommendations? Does anyone else **** closing produce? I can’t stand it anymore and feel like im about to hit a breaking point and leave. Everything is the closers fault no matter how insane the department looks. During meeting with management straight lies are told about how banana boxes do get uncapped yet they are never uncapped and closer is always the one to do it. Even get chewed at by management for bananas being uncapped since they are to be “uncapped at 3pm at the latest” yet I come in at 3pm….. I’ve been working at JCPenney for about 3 years now, but I recently started in the beauty department. It’s almost 2pm and I haven’t sold a single beauty item yet. Is this normal? 😅 I’m used to being a lot busier in other areas of the store, so this feels kinda weird. Kind of interesting in that Gen X women went from the largest consumers of pantyhose to basically no consumption at all. Big selection at department stores. All kinds of everything from color to knit. I saw long aisles of hosiery when I was a teen. All kinds of everything and well suited to preference. Now? No hosiery aisle and no hosiery at all. My manager told me about this event URBN is holding for employees only at the home office. I RSVP'd to it on the website like they ask and I never got a confirmation email. It made me a little nervous but the website said I'd submitted and finished the form so I figured I was just being anxious for nothing. But now Today's the day that they're supposed to send out details about the event and I haven't gotten anything yet. Is anyone else’s department on fire this 1st of the month? We have been struggling like it’s a weekend but it’s supposed to be our slowest day of the week and we have most of the store and they called in people on their days off. Haven’t dropped below 2500 when normal Wednesdays are usually barely 1500 for the busiest hours.

I started reading comics in August 2024 but mostly stuck with singles and collected editions thereof. I wanted to read more graphic novels specifically this year, and this month was really the first month starting that! There were a LOT of heaters this month! Tongues, A World Within the World, Alias, and A Guest in the House were big standouts this month, though just about everything was great!
