I just watched a news clip about how the parent company for Value City Furniture filed for bankruptcy. I've seen plenty of companies file bankruptcy (2008 recession, ****'s Sporting Goods, restaurants during covid years, and now a new string of them). Hi! Thanks for your comments on my last post. Should see I contact the ethics line or US Department of Labor first regarding the wage theft of numerous employees at my store? It’s probably been going on for a while and I can’t imagine how much money they’ve taken away from hardworking employee pockets. If it’s the latter, do I go state or federal level? I am also afraid people will lose their jobs and I will be retaliated against if I report this. What should I do?

Tldr: I have not been able to contact my store manager in over a month, which resulted in my termination, and my paycheck came over a month late after I called hr, he failed to log my hours as a new employee, and I cannot contact him or have been given a reason for why I was terminated after my first day of the job (I did not get in any trouble and it was honestly pleasant). He will not answer my calls and I have been to the physical location over 20 times and he has either not been there, or the other employees are lying to me.
