I spent 2 hours trying out clothes at the department store, only to not buy anything

3h ago

I think I tried out 12 pieces of clothes in total? Most were trousers of various cuts, colors, and models. I don't know what I was doing. I had my eye on this puma hoodie and a pair of baggy pants that was quite pricey. However I pictured the amount of money that goes towards this one item only — could have been used to buy so much more things. I also pictured myself already having the item and being bored with it after some time. I couldn't bear it, so I just walked out empty handed and swerved into the grocery store instead.

Trip report: 10 days in Osaka and Tokyo with 2.5 year old toddler

3h ago

Came back from Japan 3 weeks ago (two adults, one 2.5 yr old). This sub was helpful during planning so wanted to share some recs that our toddler really enjoyed that may help other families planning their trip! Also sharing hotel and food options, Japanese phrases, and to dos before traveling to Japan. I’ve been to Japan twice without a kid. Totally different experience with a toddler. Expect to go slower and plan one activity/area to explore a day. We mainly found kid activities to do because we had already done the touristy attractions in previous trips. Exploring with a toddler and dealing with a stroller was exhausting (especially when taking the trains) but it was still a great time!...

In a way, OGP as a dept is the Israel of my Walmart…

3h ago

This isn’t political, I just used a familiar analogy. But I say this as a gf whose bf finally successfully transferred out of OPD to the GM side JUST to end up being pulled back to pick All. The . Time. This is mainly a grievance about my own store, but people need to step it up, from pickers to those in the backroom, to my TLs. At my store, idek why we send “another 6 GM associates to OGP!” when we literally could do without it if my dept stopped slacking. My store’s OGP can barely pull it together, idk why we are bothering other departments when my own TL goes on like, 4 unpaid breaks per shift and takes her favorite associates with her. They just shop around for snacks while we dr...

Experimenting with the Development of Civic Technology: an American Citizen's Response to the FISA bill (2026)

The digital exhaust we leave behind while we’re on our smart phones, tablets, laptops and computers. The companies that capture this data, also sell this data. As NPR’s Jude Joffee-Block reported on March 26, 2026—“The same industry also sells that data, including bulk cell phone location ...

My current samples! Any that you think I should save for colder months to test? What will shine most in the summer?

4h ago

Yep, I have a lot of department store fragrances because so many times I find empty testers or weak juice and get overwhelmed with fragrances in store. I’d rather just buy a sample and test on my own time. some thoughts I have so far are in the comments!

Full Trip Report - First Time, Early-to-Mid March, Tokyo & Kyoto, with 6 Month Old Baby (Part 3 of 3)

4h ago

***\[Hotels\]*** * In Tokyo - **Karaksa Hotel Premier Tokyo Ginza**: 9 out of 10. We booked a Superior Double Room. We were kindly greeted by the front desk staff on the second floor (you have to take the elevator from the first floor entrance to the second floor for the lobby). The room was clean, and our bed (a king bed) was wide and comfortable. It wasn't the most spacious room (there wasn't much space/room for our luggage), but I'm pretty sure the room size was average to above average for Tokyo. The shower water pressure and temperature were good. The bathtub was good, too. Housekeeping was solid, though we had one instance in which we were somewhat passive-aggressively...

Shunbun in Osaka?

4h ago

Hi! I heard shunbuns are selling out quickly due to cherry blossom season. I’m in Osaka for 1 more day and was wondering if there are any department stores where I could get the additional 5% off? Wanted to not risk it if I can’t find any shunbuns in Kyoto and Tokyo

Since this subreddit was decently helpful in helping me and my wife plan for our first trip to Japan (with our lovely six month old baby), I thought I'd share our experience in the hopes that it could help someone out there. A bit of context: * Husband and wife (both 30s) with a six month old baby. * We are based in Southern California (greater Los Angeles area), so we would fly out of LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) for any international trips. * We each have decent travel experience, but nothing crazy. We did a South Korea trip together a couple of summers ago (without a baby). * We traveled to Maui when baby was two months old, and baby did fine on both flights (to/from Mau...

These adorable 60's coats 😍

I found these coats in amazing condition! The yellow is a late 50's early 60's Risa Diane. Originally sold at the Golden Russell department store in Ohio. The red is an adorable 60's Lassie Junior swing coat. I love them so much🤩

Stop dragging your bags. Use "Same-Day Luggage Delivery“

5h ago

One of the biggest mistakes tourists make in Seoul is landing early in the morning and dragging 20kg+ suitcases through the crowded subway just to drop them off at their hotel. In 2026, there is a much "smarter" way to start your trip. # "Hands-Free" : **Airport ↔ Hotel Delivery** Services like "Goodlugg" or "Zimfree" will pick up your bags at Incheon/Gimpo Airport and deliver them directly to your hotel (or vice versa) while you go out and explore. **1. Drop-off at ICN** After clearing customs, head to the service desk (usually near Exit 1 or 13 in T1). **2. Price** It’s roughly $20–$25 (approx. 28,000 KRW) per bag. • 2026 Tip: If you...

Why is macys northridge fashion center better stocked than macys westfield topanga??

5h ago

A few days ago i went shopping for mens spring clothing at macys westfield topanga and target westfield topanga. Both macys westfield topanga and target westfield topanga were picked over in the men's clothing department and didn't have too many sizes left. Then the next day I went to macys mens department in the northridge fashion center and at macys northridge i found my size and tons of selection of mens clothing that I liked. Also at target on Corbin Ave in northridge I also found tons of mens clothing for spring that I liked and in my size. My question is why at target westfield topanga and macys westfield topanga was the store so depleted compared to the northridge branch...

Two specific questions - promise

5h ago

Hello everybody. First time Tokyo traveler. 1) with price not being an issue - quickest guaranteed way to cross the city. Landing at Narita, departing from Haneda.7am depart at 10pm 2) if the above allows for time, I have very many hours to kill. I would love to grab a few drinks in Tokyo. How to get from Haneda after storing bags, and where to go. I am specifically after stand up bars. Many thanks.

Try to make a claim but it won't accept my tracking number

6h ago

I've tried submitting a claim for a package that hasn't been scanned in over 10 days now. When I tried to enter my tracking code it kept saying it was invalid. I've copied and pasted it from my email, the page where I ordered it, and from the ups site itself. I then tried typing it out and it still said it wasn't valid. I tried being patient but should I just call customer support now?

Image ID Renamer - renames imported MRI and CT image IDs automatically

6h ago

**\[Script\] Image ID Renamer for Aria 16.2 — renames imported MRI and CT image IDs automatically** Hi, I'm a radiation therapist who has been learning ESAPI scripting and wanted to share something I put together that's been useful in our department. When MRI or CT studies get imported into Aria for fusion planning they often arrive with placeholder image IDs like "1" or "MRI\_1". RT's love the speed up in importing, a new patient with a lot of diagnostic imaging can take a long time to rename and register the images, this does it automaticly and should be easy to edit for your own local naming conventions and needs. **There is a very detailed instal...
