This location is 3 floors and there is a Macy's Home Store located in the basement of the former Frederick and Nelson site here in this mall and that sales floor's lighting is nearly identical to what later became the last Sears in Washington State. Okay so for weeks now Ive been working in electronics and doing what I can because I originally came from OGP which was the only department in my store that got full time at least when I applied. However ever since I started in electronics they cut me to like 20 hours a week which I figured hey I could just gain more hours over time. But over time they just flung me back and forth between no hours like I would work 2 weeks with 16 to 20 hours a week and then 2 weeks of just not being scheduled. Tbh Im at the point where Im just waiting for them to let me go so I can collect unemployment because to me its clear that they dont need people at all after the holiday season.

The company I work for does a quarterly tip pool, it’s divided up based on how often each employee works and how many stores they work at. All digital tips are then at some point after the quarter ends are divided up and deposited accordingly. However, it’s never consistent on when it’s going to come. I’ve seen come as quickly as a few weeks after the quarter ends to as long as three months after the quarter ends. So I’ve worked in pickup for over a year now with my store. I’ve enjoyed it but of course it gets incredibly stressful and feels like they’re adding new margins to watch us on every day. Anyways I’m in California and it hit 101° where I work today and I could barely get done what I needed to. So I got hired on as OFA part time in February of this year, I worked at the same store in 2016. I got a call asking if I wanted to pick up a few shifts in April in flooring. It would be nice to have the extra hours and these are full shifts 6am-2:30pm. I just have no ideas what I’ll be doing for those 4 days they put me in that department . Any tips would be great.

I just gave birth to my second son. My first is 2, but in 4T clothes. I want to find them matching clothes, but most infant clothes go up to 24 months. Perhaps this is just a localized issue, but I've been noticing an uncomfortable pattern occuring in our department that has been directly impacting our ability to work adequately. We've been facing an uptick in call-outs lately. That itself is understandable, given it's Spring, people get sick, and that no schedule goes 100% to plan. I get that. The Hornell office of the NY Department of Health ran a sting operation on Browns’s Cigar Store. They sent an 18 year old into the store who had the appearance of a 30 year old to buy a cigar. After the purchase they were immediately cited and now are having their tobacco and lottery license suspended for a year thereby forcing the owners out of business. Browns Cigar store has been in continuous business in Corning since 1889 and are now being run off by some overzealous bureaucrat from our state government. This is a travesty of justice and must be stopped. Write the commissioner of health, write our state representative, write everyone to reverse this injustice.
