Experience w/ Bell so far

1h ago

Hi all, I was going to be a new customer with Bell. Here are the series of events: On February 6, 2026, I called Bell to find out why they had dinged my credit report in June 2023, when I never had any services with Bell. (I, of course, filed a dispute with Equifax and got it fixed). The agent did wonders in looking it all up and helping me sort it all out as well. During that call, the agent offered me 1.5Gbps Fibe plan for $65, with installation fees waived (he did not specify any thing more than that). I told the agent I would like to hop on that plan but I cannot do so right away since it was less than 24 hours for me to cancel the Rogers technician coming to fix my ongoing internet ...

My job title doesn't align with my responsibilities.

1h ago

Hey guys, So, I've got an AA in general studies, 10 years in retail (Approximately 5 in management), 3 years in banking, and I managed to network to the job I have now. I work at a retail display manufacturer; we're a middling sized company (300+ employees), we make all sorts of stuff for grocery stores, to gun shops, to jewelry stores. My job title is "Project Manager" - however, because the team I work on is small, I never was formally trained in project management. I was trained to use SketchUp, a design program, for drawing layouts for customers. I was also trained in using excel to write down specs of products to send to engineering department for approval. I&...

Copenhagen to Kronborg -Malmo-Lund in one day?

1h ago

My family and I will be travelong to Copenhagen in May from the US. We have a 4 year old. Our current itinerary is the following but someone suggested Kronborg/Malmo/Lund in one day. Is this doable/recommended? No car. Day 1 (Monday) - Nyhavn Canal Boat Tour, Kings Garden Day 2- Round Tower, Tivoli Day 3- Malmo/Lund, Strøget/Lego store Day 4- Kronberg, national museum of Denmark Day 5- kastellet, depart in afternoon Anything too much or unrealistic? Anything worthwhile that I should swap in? Things that I was also interested in but know we can't do all : Rosenborg Castle (closed on Monday when we are near ), Dyrehaven (instead of Kronborg), switching of the guards (just don&...

Looking forward to the response I get from there. The last time a figure arrived damaged, they said they’d file a claim with FedEx and I never heard back…

No coupon and it’s bothering me. How can I get over this? I know it’s ******

2h ago

How can I stop letting this get to me? I work a ****** retail job. At this job, managers hand out coupons if you do good. I’ve been trying to do a good job. A few months ago, a customer gave me a compliment to my assistant manager (which means he was supposed to give me a coupon). After the customer complimented my service, my assistant manager told the customer “yeah, we definitely do something for that”. I got nothing. I’ve seen him give them out to others. I’ve seen the store manager give them out for customer service . My store manager has been down the same aisle as me while I’ve provided excellent customer service, nothing. I see some new guy got one from him today for cu...

Legal Weed in NC? The 2026 Update.

2h ago

North Carolinians currently live in a legal paradox: "legal-ish" Delta-8 and THCA products are sold openly in local shops, while traditional marijuana remains strictly prohibited. However, 2026 is set to be the most consequential year for cannabis in state history as Raleigh moves to fundamentally redefine these laws. **A Unified Strategy** The State Advisory Council on Cannabis is shifting away from debating hemp and marijuana as separate issues. Instead, they are proposing a unified framework for all "intoxicating THC." By merging these categories, the council aims to create a single regulatory body—potentially a Cannabis Control Commission—to oversee safety, pote...

My best friend is having issues with her friends/workplace friends, and now it’s hurting me. What can I do?

2h ago

Here is some context: Me (26F) and my best friend (24F) have been besties for 12 years. She been working at a chain retail store for almost 6 years now, and often goes through a lot of friends over the years. In my opinion I wouldn’t really associate my workplace colleagues as friends but obviously that depends on the environment you work in and for each person. Bestie is having issues and is “being tormented“ by her friends/workplace colleagues because of the way she “has been trying to get close” to one of the only guys that works in their department. She states she is not, and has told me the guy is/was her workplace best friend before new people were hired (majority F, few M...

It Happened...but in Reverse

2h ago

There's a question that comes up here often, something like "have you ever ran into coworkers in the showers" or whatever. So I'm in a interesting, albeit annoying, situation. There's all of us regulars, it's a busy, moneyed, and wannabe influencer type vibe at my gym. I'm none of those things, average bodied and works lower end of the retail totem pole. I'm a confident naturist in my locker room. Maybe close to year ago, I don't really know for sure though but it's been going on awhile, a couple of guys that were also regulars started giving me that judgmental vibe. But I just brushed it off to paranoid since I am sensitive and aware I...

my “mall world” experience

3h ago

hi everyone, i’m new to the sub. i came here after hearing about the phenomenon to share my experience. i often dream of a mall setting, the lower level has a grocery/ department store. inside the store there is always a “whole foods section” as i like to call it where there are just baskets on shelves containing exotic fruits, vegetables, etc. i dream that through the employee only doors in the bedding area it’s a huge school, sometimes abandoned, sometimes it has students and sometimes im one of them. it also has a vibe that i shouldn’t be there, like there’s a virus or something?? i also have vivid memories of a restaurant/ homemade food store area where the food is supposedly...

3h ago

**FIRST: owning my mistakes, an apology to traditional artists.** I want to start this conversation on the right foot. A couple days ago I uploaded a post mocking traditional artists, an AI comic that *caricaturized* them as the equivalent of an accountant who refuses to use Excel to make his work more efficient. As a software developer who uses AI daily to deliver faster results, this was genuinely how I perceived anti-ai artists. I've since then changed my mind, and I'd like to thank user *~~(sorry rules won't allow me to tag him(her?))~~* for helping me understand, why many artists value the crafting process as much, if not more, than the end result. For that reason I...

Free phone....but useless???

4h ago

AT&T sent my parents two identical google pixel phones. My mom went to the store and tried to set up one of the phones, but it didn't work because I guess my dad's number was attatched to the other phone that was sent (they are both labeled with my dad's number). They told my mom she would have to call customer service and have them send a return box. When they called customer service they bounced her around to a few different departments and finally told her she would have to take it to the store. That was two weeks ago and we haven't heard anything since. I don't think they are aware or care that we still have this phone. I happen to need a new phone. Is t...

Cognizant’s "Final Round" is a Joke: Are you good at politics?"

4h ago

I’m done. I just experienced the most unprofessional, bottom-tier "interview" of my entire career. I applied for a **Technical role** at Cognizant. I killed the first two rounds, both were professional, scheduled, and focused on my actual skills. I proved I fit every single bullet point on the JD. Then comes the "Senior Project Manager" for the final round. This guy is a total clown. * **No calendar invite.** \* **No prior heads-up.** * **No introduction. Didn't even ask if it was right time to talk** He just randomly cold-calls my phone like a telemarketer. He asks a question so poorly phrased and nonsensical that he clearly didn't even understand the te...

3 terrible deliveries in a row and foreign material found in meal.

4h ago

My wife and I decided to try Factor meals out about a month and a half ago. Back in October my wife and I tragically lost our daughter and it has made simple things like trying to figure out what to eat for dinner, going to the grocery store and cooking each night extremely taxing mentally and physically so we thought that having meals delivered to the house we could just put in the microwave would make things a little easier on that front and it did for the first two weeks. After that the last 3 deliveries we have had have been terrible. Each box has had at least 2-3 meals that have had to be thrown away because they were crushed and the plastic cracked and food and liquid spilled into the ...
