I ran into a situation that was different this past weekend. In Maryland, no firearm allowed signs are not addressed in the law so if you are caught with a firearm you most likely are only trespassing. I was out running errands and when I was walking into the mall there was a sign that said no firearms allowed out K9’s are checking. The local PD patrolled the mall with dogs looking to enforce the sign. The signs were placed outside of the mall entrances and not the department store entrances. Are these signs technically a consent to search by walking past them while entering the mall? What happens if a dog does detect gun powder on me in this situation?

wanted to post something a bit more positive and very strange, wondering if any other stores get like this? the shop i work at is really really loved by the community. its cheap random ****. we're a department store with a lot of budget items- our most expensive item is a £90 pressure washer and our cheapest is a 7p electrical screw. we also have a very low turnover rate meaning a lot of staff with a lot of random knowledge about a lot of stuff in the store. the amount of things i've learnt about plumbing, cars, painting, lightbulbs, different types of screws, hose fittings- even toilet seats, from the ages of 19-22 working there is incredible. the thing is we're so loved ...

Do any other TLs get moved constantly in other areas of the store? I am a Bakery/Deli TL, mostly deli since they're at the opposite ends of the store from each other. I'm in the operations department currently and sometimes it feels like I have to coordinate and communicate with contractors and oversee the food hall colleagues when the managers aren't on the floor or no where to be seen. On top of that being a keyholder and being on the callout team (in our store all the ops colleagues are automatically on the callout and keyholder team.) But yeah sometimes it feels like the ops department does things that managers in other companies would do themselves but we never see a increase in pay nor are we managers or feel like we get the respect we should have earned from the managers. Idk why but yellow and warm lights make me nauseous, I **** a big light unless it is cool toned. My parents have the color changing lightbulbs that are tied to our phones and whenever I am visiting them I set everything to cool white. All the light bulbs I buy are cool white. I **** the bright white in department stores though, those are very loud to me and make my head hurt. But cool white lights are just perfect to me! They comfort me.
