Just what is says - wondering if anyone has seen Snowflake apples in any of the produce departments / farm markets / etc around the Hamilton area. I already know that Lococos is a no, as are the Empire (Sobey’s / Freshco) and Metro (Metro / Food Basics / Farm Boy) stores.

I recently asked my department leader (pickup) to reduce my hours in order for me to complete schoolwork. This week I have been scheduled for 38 hours (every day that I'm not at school for a majority of the day) by another manager and after asking him if I can reduce those hours he said my department leader can do that and after I asked him to reduce my hours for the week he said that I'll create a gap in the schedule and that I need to swap/get someone to cover for me. I don't know how I feel about calling off on a day because I called off (forgetting the 2 hour before shift policy) due to weather last week. I ran into this Goodman furnace and I already verified it has a bad blower motor. \- hot to the touch \- humming \- replaced run cap \- smoking where can I find a aftermarket replacement motor? i gave goodman model and serial number to the furnace because the motor nameplate is not legible. Little warning this is a rant I’ve been with Walmart for almost 2 years now, starting in April of 2024. I’ve worked in 3 different departments: CAP 2, Lawn and Garden, and OPD, so I have experience with customers, the back room, and dealing with online orders. This job has gone from requiring skill and teamwork to just luck every day. You need to be lucky for your truck to be manageable. You need to be lucky that your TLs or DMs give a **** to actually hire more people or train others if you're shorthanded in your department or, god forbid, the only one. You need to be lucky that the store isn't getting flooded by guests so you can finish your work in a reasonable time. You need luck for the TMs to even know how to read labels and numbers. Reason I’m stating this is for adults with children-aka parents. Why does Walmart management deem that when all schools are shut down and their associates physically cannot show up for icy roads and school closure due to needing to do parent duties and take care of their kids that we must be pointed for not showing up. The state declared a state of emergency and yet the store manager is careless enough to still say point all associates for calling in due to school closures-I bet they made sure their point was removed while hitting everyone else for it.
