Hi everyone, I'm a software engineer working mostly on front end with around 2 years of experience. I asked my Norton Shores city councilwoman about the growing crop of Flock Cameras in the city. She asked the police chief, and here's his response to her. I also asked if city council had approved these purchases and, if so, whether there had been any discussion about privacy. Here's what she said: *"Yes council approved 10 in August of 24 and 10 in 25. There wasn’t much discussion on privacy as they are only used by the police department."*

I do the whole online grocery department job at a different store however our store has been really slow lately and I'm not getting many hours. Their are a few walamarts near me however if I do leave my current store (Tom Thumb) to go to Walmart it would likely be to the neighborhood walamart not to far from me. I’ve always been a little weird about talking money, and I’m curious if I’m the only one. I work for HEB, but not in a retail store, I’m in a specific department on the non-store side. Overall it’s been a solid job, good benefits, decent pay, and better than a lot of other options I’ve had. I just got hired for 2 different retail part time jobs. Job one is very chill and the culture is really positive. Everyone including the most of the managers are very nice, supportive and friendly. The only downside is at Job one when it's really slow at the register and if there is nothing to do, I feel restless. I have bad ADHD and OCD so I'll try to find something to straighten up ...and everything is already tidy. Today at Job one they were telling me how good I'm doing. The person who interviewed me heard I'm starting a second job and she told me she was glad I'm not leaving because she can tell I'm good for the team. I told her I started the second job b...

I have reached out to the police department Escambia County over 20 times in the past 18 months because that’s what Verizon and Apple is telling me to do. I’ve been hacked twice already. Nobody is doing anything about it not the police not Verizon. I have phone calls and text messages being rerouted. someone obviously has remote access to my phone. I’ve talked to one of my banking institutions and they said there was a device signed into my account and refused to give me any information on that. They say due to security issues. So I understand doing laundry for NK, and my rates are higher than they wanted to do so they asked if I could do additional extra work which I agreed to. NK takes 2 2+ hour naps between 9-5 while I’m at work with her. While napping I’ll fold and put away laundry and iron anything in need of ironing. I only work for NF 3x a week, 1 of which NK is in school 10-2 and I don’t work or get paid during that time. It didn’t start this way, but I’m beginning to get really annoyed that I’ll come in on Monday after being off F-Sunday and not a single item of laundry is folded, ironed or put away. A basket of clothes I couldn’t put up cause NK was napping, still in the hamper. Baby comes...

I just recently learned of a change that the HR department is implementing. We’re no longer considering hiring people without driver’s licenses even for part time roles. That also applies to people that live across the street. Which happened in my situation. We’re short staffed, we waited a month for a background check just for us to find out we can’t hire the candidate. That candidate gave us the only good interview and was the only one who bothered to come prepared. Now we have to go through this whole thing again. Despite the fact that we worked that out with the candidate and as a store we were okay with it. I’m incredibly disappointed in this company as most part timer...
