I’ve had a Nordstrom card since 2008 and am seriously considering making the switch to another department store. I went to the Houston location today and couldn’t even find a human to help me. I just needed someone to call alterations. I finally went upstairs and found someone but when they called alterations there was no one available to help me and said it would be at least 30 minutes. Seriously? It’s a busy week, they should have more staffing. I was also a Nordstrom employee for 9 years so I have zero tolerance for the service level they now offer. Any suggestions on making the switch to either Saks or Bloomingdale’s?

I'm looking to donate some of my clothes from 2010😂 and upgrade my wardrobe a little. Not interested in over-priced designer, not department store, but the in-between? I don't know when but I've been told my store is in line to change over to electronic shelving labels (ESL) soon and I'm hoping other FMC/price changers could share their experience regarding the change over and maybe answer a few questions. At the dealership, the finance department pulled my credit to offer me a loan (that is one hard inquiry). **TL;DR:** Unless you're fine with food that's probably been touched with people's bare, unwashed hands, avoid the bulk foods section at all costs. Hey all, a little while ago I (30M) got fired from a job I had for 3+ years in a retail adjacent role as a floor leader of sorts (running a break chart, peer coaching, de-escalation, etc,).
