Finished my very first project…. it feel so/so about it. Takeaways: 1. Do accents first and embroider around them?? 2. The picture they provide is hard to recreate exactly. 3. Small details are hard (the mouth is janky). I‘d love to hear any tips or tricks to making it better. This is a kit, so not amazing, but learning a ton. Edited to Add: How to I finish this off? In S5 Ep3 The Turnbow Trap the crew set up the trap for the Demogorgon, a core piece of the trap is what will kick it all off - a CPR dummy under the bed sheets. I find it funny that this is what they used to start it considering they are banking on the one sense a Demogorgon doesn't have... eyesight. I only saw the episode once so there could be some details I missed but using the CPR dummy seems unnecessary and unlikely to work, heck it's not even wearing a tshirt or clothing of Derek Turnbow only a pair of glasses. Morning, I'm looking at porting a Python application into C++ for improved UI Performance. The app talks to a windows only telemetry sdk with rapid updates. The Python version is fully working and I'm just adding further analytics. I originally worked it up in Pyside6 but it was too heavy. DearPyGUI has improved performance but degraded aesthetics. So I am looking at converting it to a C++ QT application. My background is 25 year old C, some more recent Java, and Python.
