Hey all! I'm a crew trainer, been working at McDonald's since September 2024, and as one does, I usually just throw my uniforms in the laundry with the rest of my dirty clothes. However—no matter how much I clean them, no matter how many wash cycles I put them through, they have this lingering *stale* smell to them. I don't wear the uniforms I started with unless im desperate, since new ones were introduced at the beginning of 2025 and I was given those to use. I also wear black hoodies/long-sleeved shirts underneath my shirts when it gets cold out, or I wear a uniform hoodie I bought. Does anyone have any tips for cleaning them to get rid of that smell? As much as I love liz lisa and axes femme - the quality doesn't suit the price anymore. It's as if I'm paying for the name over the actual clothing that I'm receiving. No reason a sweater should be selling for $150 if its 50% polyester 😞 That said, I have a couple favourites in j-fashion / "cutesy" fashion that cost a gooood amount of money, but the quality holds up insanely well and the material doesn't feel or LOOK cheap . It's obv not *exact* bc the reference I based it on is a photo of the Cast and Crew shirt with folds over the design (last photo was my reference) and I hand-cut the stencil so the lines aren't as fine, but I tried my best! Accidentally cut through the shirt in one small area while cutting out the stencil but I still think it turned out pretty good. You can't really see much of the subtle differences in reds on the shirt but I did layers of red dying to make it look splotchy and "******". Hi! I’m an intermediate knitter who spotted this gorg J Crew cardigan at a thrift store. I knew I wanted to create something similar rather than buy it. I’ve been looking but haven’t found the desired pattern: large format design of all over fair isle in a bulky yarn. I also want to use a similarly light and fluffy yarn, likely an alpaca blend.
