New to Reddit — how do consultants/freelancers network or find clients here?9d agoHi everyone, I’m fairly new to Reddit and still figuring out how the platform works professionally, so I thought I’d ask the community here. I come from a marketing and consulting background with 13+ years of experience across industries like automotive, FMCG, hospitality, healthcare, retail, entertainment, and lifestyle. Over the years, I’ve worked across brand strategy, digital marketing, customer experience, GTM planning, and growth-focused marketing initiatives with brands such as Mercedes-Benz India, Pernod Ricard, Reliance Retail, Rajhans Group, and Tamara Leisure Experiences. More recently, I’ve been freelancing/consulting independently and working with businesses on market... Seller is Reliance Retail, so didn’t really doubt authenticity, but after checking properly I noticed a few things. There are some loose threads and slightly messy stitching in a couple of areas, plus a small mark on the upper. Nothing huge, but not what you expect from a new pair. Also the box came a bit damaged and wasn’t packed properly. Other details seem fine though — GST invoice is there, product code and barcode match. But one thing I found odd: the shoebox sticker country of origin says “Made in Indonesia” while AJIO listing mentioned manufactured in India. Also this colorway isn’t on Adidas In... Reliance internship: learning or resume filler?19d agoHi everyone, I could really use some honest guidance. I’m currently doing an unpaid internship at Reliance Retail (JioMart side), and I come from a tier 3 B-school in India. My long-term goal is to get into consulting, so I’m trying to make decisions that actually move me in that direction. But I’m honestly a bit confused about whether this internship is even valuable. The work I’ve been given so far includes things like: \- Basic QC/marketing-related tasks \- Some research-oriented work \- A few loosely defined projects (nothing very structured yet) It feels a bit vague at times, and I’m not sure how much real impact I’m creating. Also, this internship is largely remote,... Reliance internship: learning or resume filler?19d agoHi everyone, I could really use some honest guidance. Verbal PIP and Undisclosed Complaints at Work — Know Your Legal Rights as an Employee in India25d agoRohan Gupta was a Campaigns Manager at a mid-sized marketing firm operating under the Reliance Retail umbrella in Pune. Around early March 2025, his annual performance review took a turn he hadn't anticipated. His reporting manager verbally informed him that he was being placed on a Performance Improvement Plan. No written communication followed. Nothing on email. Nothing on paper. That wasn't the only problem. During that same meeting, HR mentioned that a colleague had filed a complaint against him. But when Rohan asked for specifics, he was told the details couldn't be shared. No written complaint, no particulars of the allegation, no chance to respond. And then, without co...
