Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Five Guys Store Latest Community Discussions About Five Guys StoresNeeding wholesale herbs3d agoHello! I have gotten into making homemade seasonings recently and am have family and friends wanting to get some. I’m needing a bigger quantity of fresh herbs than what’s at food lion or Harris teeter. Does anyone know where I can get a larger amount? Thanks in advance! My copycat Starbucks potato chive egg bites!4d agoI struggle with breakfast in the AM and at times crave salty things so I made these copycat potato egg bites from Starbucks today for meal prep! Ingredients: • 1 bag Pictsweet red potato bites (air fried) • 1/3 cup heavy cream • 1/3 cup low fat milk • 5.3 oz Good Culture cottage cheese • 6 large eggs • 1/3 cup fresh chopped chives • 1.5 cups Harris Teeter reduced fat sharp cheddar Method: Air fry the potatoes until tender. Blend the milk, cream, and cottage cheese in a food processor until smooth. Add the eggs, cheese, potatoes, and chives and mix to combine. Pour into muffin tins and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes. Season to taste- I did salt, pepper, red pepp... Looking for Restaurant Suggestions5d agoMy bday is coming up in a few weeks, and this is a milestone bday as opposed to just another trip around the sun. I'm planning on getting a moderately sized group of ppl together to celebrate. Let's say 30+ ppl but could be as many as 50. We brainstormed last night momentarily and felt stuck. Some local restaurants will accommodate larger parties, but then they'll limit the larger party to specific items on the menu. Preferably Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, or Norfolk. Are there any local restaurants that would welcome such a group but still allow us to order from their regular menu? Let me add this caveat - we don't want Olive Garden or some other chain that's just ... Flat canned beer (cider) lately?5d agoFor the past few months, every time I've bought canned beer from the grocery store (food lion, Walmart, harris teeter), it's been a whole lot flatter than normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Proof that food deserts don't exist7d agoThe NOMA Harris Teeter is so depressing7d agoJust a random rant - Harris Teeter NOMA is so awful. There were zero grocery carts or hand baskets available on a quiet Sunday morning, with multiple people standing around waiting. I’m not sure if people steal them, or if the store just can’t be bothered to restock? Is this the same in every “normal” grocery store in DC? Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are better but sometimes I have to hit the HT. Grocery Delivery Options9d agoI've been using Harris Teeter for ages, but apparently they no longer offer delivery from the fulfillment center and the only way to get groceries delivered from them now is via InstaCart. I don't trust InstaCart shoppers even a little bit, and since I like when my delivery is actually the things I ordered: emphatically, no thank you. are there other local grocery delivery options that **do not** go through InstaCart? I used to use Imperfect/Misfits Market, but the pricing there was getting nuts even before all the recent economic nonsense. I checked out Wee! several months ago and found the interface confusing so I just ended up back in the Harris Teeter app, but is that my best... Need a starting point for sardines, kind of freaked out.11d agoI love canned tuna and smoked salmon. Flavored varieties especially like chili crisp or other spicy versions are best to me so far. I have been following this sub for a while and want to get into sardines, but not sure where to start. I have always been kind of freaked out by sardines even though I want to try them really badly and I want to like them, it opens up a much larger variety. Mostly I am freaked out by the bones a little but also in general I am not really into anything too "fishy" and I worry sardine will be. I don't know if I will **** the bones, just don't love the idea of eating them having never had it before. It might be totally find if the flavor and t... Caught a break12d agoGoing to vac seal these for later! Costco meat allergy?14d agoDoes anyone have this unique issue where you start itching intensely everywhere after eating Costco meat, particularly their ribeyes or sirloin? I do fine on their shabu shabu meat. I do fine on ribeyes and other meats from other grocery stores. I usually get meat from Walmart, Harris Teeter, Food Lion and sometimes BJ's Wholesale. Unfortunately I just bought over $200 worth of Costco's whole ribeyes cuz they were on sale, forgetting I itch and develop a rash after eating their meat. :-(( Anyone know what might be going on? Why am I not able to eat meat from Costco?? 90% of items are “pickup only” as of a week ago?14d agoHi, I’ve been getting Harris teeter for delivery consistently for over a year now. Every now and again, some items will be unavailable for delivery, presumably due to low stock or something. However, since around a week ago, almost every single item I normally get is no longer available for delivery. At first I thought it might be just due to the holidays, but it hasn’t improved. I can’t add milk, eggs, meat, kids food, produce, etc. I have no idea what’s going on. The only things I can add are super random, like bread or vitamins. Does anyone know what’s going on? Is this related to the switch to instacart? I have HTplus 99. Leaving a narcissist , need ideas on saving money to leave18d agoAll I have access to is the American Express credit card which he often checks the transactions. I started buying gift cards but even that might look suspicious with just target , Harris teeter showing , he knows we only shop at Whole Foods. Did anyone ever save in situation like this. I am looking for ideas. My fear is about financial survival . I am in therapy and have friends for emotional support . Thank you Looking for a New Cashback Credit Card19d ago***I’m looking to earn more cashback rewards on gas, dining, and groceries.*** ***Currently, the Apple Card is my primary credit card, and I love it. Question/advice about the "moonlighting" policy20d agoHiyo, so I work at Harris-Teeter as a bagger for four whole years now and have honestly enjoyed it for the most part. However, with the state of the economy right now as well as typically only being scheduled once a week, I am trying to look for a second job to additionally work so I can rake in more money. However, a big concern that makes me hesitant about some of the options I've seen on sites like Indeed is what is apparently dubbed the "moonlighting" policy. For those unfamiliar, it refers to how Harris-Teeter reserves the right to fire you should they discover that you are also working for a company they deem to be a competitor to them. I do have a general idea of what... Spring Sublease available!20d agoSpring Sublease | *One bedroom available* at a 2B2B at Belmont Apartments! Forgot something for Christmas dinner? Here's what grocery & convenience stores are actually open TODAY (De...25d agoHey everyone! Saw "what grocery stores are open on Christmas Day" blowing up on Google Trends, so I figured I'd share a quick, updated rundown for anyone in a last-minute panic (we've all been there 😂). Most big grocery chains are closed today to give employees time with family, but here's the real talk on what's open: **Convenience Stores & Gas Stations (your best bet for basics):** * 7-Eleven: Most locations open 24/7 as usual. * Circle K, Sheetz, Wawa, Casey's: Generally open (many 24/7, but check your local). * Cumberland Farms & others: Often open. **Pharmacies (great for snacks, drinks, meds, etc.):** * CVS: Many open with regul... ISO Red Pillsbury Frosting28d agoSince using food dye is a pain and I can never get the red quite right, I was hoping to find this Pillsbury red frosting. I have only found the green. I have looked at Target and a few Harris Teeters around Durham/CH. Has anyone seen it anywhere?? https://preview.redd.it/xq8wo3zhlo8g1.png?width=1206&format=png&auto=webp&s=235f3f7a6176671ef6fde0fea2752d795495bf3a Beyond Meat’s Comeback…Food for Thought…Key Partners and Real Scale28d agoBeyond Meat has been quietly cleaning up operations and expanding distribution. The focus has been cost discipline, fewer SKUs, and better execution. At the same time, distribution has expanded meaningfully in the U.S. and Canada, with new value packs and broader shelf placement. There are also signs of renewed international interest, including potential expansion in markets like India. Talk about a MASSIVE vegan and vegetarian market. What gets overlooked is who they’re actually working with. This isn’t fringe retail — it’s large-scale partners with real reach. If improved execution meets this level of distribution, the next few quarters could look very different. Major partners ... We need to make Harris Teeter Bacon a backup currency30d agoSeriously, when the economy finally collapses I have to assume the bacon from the Teets Hot Bar will be worth more that gold or silver. I went this morning, got there at 9:08, the bar opens at 9. There was no bacon left and the rest of the food had barely been touched. There weren't even bacon shards left, just grease. I did my shopping and came back around and there was some fresh bacon. A guy got there before me and loaded up 30-40 pieces of bacon... and that's it. I know because he checked out next to me and that's all he bought. What I'm asking is, can you guys learn how to share? I like the bacon, but no one needs that much.
