Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Five Guys Store Latest Community Discussions About Five Guys StoresOMG Harris Teeter Prices1d agoI recently hurt myself in a fall. I asked someone to pickup a few things for me as I am unable to drive at the moment. The person was well meaning and went to Harris Teeter to pick it up. I know that Harris Teeter is expensive but I must be much more aware of prices than they are. They got a 12 pack of the cheapest canned dog food, 10 slices of American cheese, 5 lbs of sugar, 12 frozen fudge bars and paid $46.00. My draw dropped. All I know that I can get 24 slices of cheese, 5lbs of sugar and fudge bars for $10 at Walmart, Aldi and Target and the same dog food for under $20 at Foodlion, Walmart and Target. Why does every major grocery store that’s in plaza always have a Chinese restaurant next to it?6d agoEverywhere I go In this state there’s a Chinese restaurant next to the grocery store; Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Walmart… I’ve mentioned it to people and they say they’ve noticed it too. Should I just go to Duke Energy directly to pay my bill?6d agoFor years, I used to pay by phone, until they decided to use the feature where it hears my speech, and it never does. Then I started to pay online. Around December 2024 or January 2025, I thought my payments went through, usually being around $60-80. In March or April of 2025, they disabled my ability to pay online because THEY NEVER WENT THROUGH!!! I learned I could go to Food Lion on Hillsborough Rd to pay it (Walgreens is closer, but I think I need to apply for something and I'm trying to catch the bus for work, no time for that; maybe next time). Been doing that since April up to December, thinking it was successful. January comes, my bill is $230+ with previous payments not paid.... $1500 - Ballston Spacious room and private bathroom available for rent8d agoLease start date is March 15th. Rent is $1500, Parking is $125. Short term lease works. I am the lease holder and you would be an occupant without changing the lease because changing the lease cost money. I am male, work as a software architect and work from home most the time. I do not smoke or use any drugs. I like going out to restaurants and bars in the ballston and clarendon area. Everyone is welcome to rent this room. The location is across the Ballston Mall. I am subletting the right side big room, walk-in closet and private bathroom. The room has furniture and is perfect for a short team lease. The building has great amenities - gym, pool, concierge, club room, outdoor grill, ... 3rd and 4th southdoughs9d agoThis is recipe I use I found it on All Recipes CHEF John s Sourdough Bread Here is the sourdough recipe I used....its about 3 weeks old....I need real life advice on feeding it....my kitchen is being remodeled by husband....he says less than month now! Weekly groceries12d agoCurious what everyone spends on groceries per week. Our bill has jumped the last couple of months-probably because my daughter turned one and moved to all solid foods, but $300–$350/week for a family of three (me, husband, 15-month-old) at Harris Teeter feels high. This includes some household essentials like TP, dish soap, etc. We eat mostly fresh produce, fish, and some organic meats and very little junk or ultra-processed food, so I know that adds to the cost. I’m thinking about trying more affordable stores or a monthly Costco trip. editing to add I’m in a medium COL city and I’m a Sahm, so this is breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for all 3 of us (I know daycares provide bre... Monk Fruit RTD Shakes12d agoHi friends Earlier today I saw a redditor asking about monk fruit sweetened protein shakes. I am pretty sure this was the subreddit but it may have been a separate GLP one. In any case, I was thinking to myself "I don't think that's even a thing." Well low and behold I went to my local Harris Teeter this evening and they had 4 packs of vanilla Orgain 20g protein shakes on clearance for under $4. I bought a pack even though previously I did not like Orgain, but I struggle with the sweeteners in other RTD shakes like Premier and willing to try this product. If that was you who asked about monk fruit sweetener - here ya go! If you have Harris Teeter nearby or possibly a Kro... Attn: cat owners15d agoFriendly heads up that the Harris Teeter on MLK jr has some cat food items on clearance (by the pharmacy) Had a decent dash for a Tuesday, made 181 total18d agoI almost exclusively get offered shopping orders lol, they're so easy and use much less gas. Moving from Markham, Va to Marshall, Va. Good Places To Work.19d agoAs my title says I’m moving about 10 miles to Marshall, Va. I’m looking for a new place to work part time. I have a job currently on Friday and Saturday doing “market research”, I give out samples of foods and alcohol at the Harris Teeter in Warrenton. I have an associates degree in biology. I have had a quite different jobs. I have been a vet tech for 15 years, worked at Total Wine for 3 years, a dog walker for 1 year, and finally giving samples. Other than Total Wine I have loved all my jobs. My 2 talents are animals and talking to people usually for sales, but I am not proficient in sales, I’m just going on natural salesmanship I inherited from my dad. Working with animals i... Where to buy your beer for the Superbowl21d agoThis year Harris Teeter has all the beer specials. $14.99/12 on Corona, Modelo, Heineken and most other mid tiers. Way cheaper on 'mercan ****, Food Dog is still @$16.99/ plus on most of their mids. HT is probably better than hitting Costco once you factor in Costco beer is not cold and you have to spend an hour getting in and out of Costco on a weeken. Enjoy your beer Steaks from Costco Fairfax. Are USDA Prime really this bad all over, or is this more of a Fairfax Costco thing? For comp...21d agoFor reference, I've accepted that Prime looks more like, or even less than Choice from about 10 years ago. So if you want a Choice Steak from a decade ago, you have to get Prime today. I've gotten used to Prime not really being Prime and how standards have lowered overall but I ran across these just yesterday. Either itngot worse recently or this is the norm? For comparison, I bought steaks from Harris Teeter in Fairfax, under their brand, "Rancher" (image shown with the Rancher sticker) which is not graded but apparently are supposedly Select and or Choice level. It was half the price, better marbling and VERY delicious. Something I Appreciate About My Hometown22d agoDay 21 of the 28-Day Writing Challenge Daily Prompt: What is something you appreciate about your hometown? One thing that I appreciate about my hometown, which I also find astonishing, is the number of grocery stores we have – almost as many as churches, and in a Southern city, that’s a lot! We are not a hugely populous area, with only about a million and a half people in our area. However, because we have a highly educated population with an above-average income level and a strong local economy, we are one of the areas in the US that companies flock to. Even foreign companies, when they launch in the US, choose to build here early on. My sister lives in an area with a larger ... Only Peeled Red Onions22d agoDoes anyone know why Harris Teeter, at least the ones in Northern Virginia, only carry peeled red onions and not the unpeeled kind? Every other grocery store in the area (Safeway, Giant, TJs, Whole Foods, etc.) carries unpeeled red onions and sometimes the peeled kind too. But the only option for red onions at Harris Teeter is to get them peeled. Why is that? Does it should like I am in a favorable position.22d agoI applied to my local food lion as a Cashier. Called the next day and talked to the Assistant customer service manager. She claimed she liked my app credentials so much if it was up to her I would be hired on the spot. Yesterday I go in for an interview. Same woman takes me to back. As Im answering questions her eyes were lighting up and looking excited. She seemed to be impressed with my previous history with the company and that I made it 2 years with a very busy Harris Teeter store. After about 30 minutes she enthusiastically told me they were interested in hiring me but had other interviews to conduct. I should hear back by mid next week. I feel pretty good about how it went, but I ... i **** that shopper ratings drop if the customer doesn't want a subsitute22d agojust a vent- i love being a doordasher and i am most certainly out dashing rn 😂. the following usually happens when i do shop and deliver orders at places like food lion, dollar general, family dollar, harris teeter, etc. so yesterday i went to food lion, and they didn't have a lot of items the customer wanted in stock. i took pictures of the tags of the items i couldn't find, and tried to substitute the items. now, the customer didn't want substitutions and it affected my original items found. we shouldn't be penalized for that! also, i **** that when i try to substitute and i scan the barcode, the item is not in the system, i am unable to even choose the corre...
