Family Day falls on the third Monday of February and is a provincial holiday in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan. Manitoba, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia mark the same day under different names, while Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador and the territories do not have a holiday. Because it is a provincial holiday, whether stores are open depends on where you live.
