Every time I go through the HJs drive‑thru lately, we pay and then get told to pull into the carpark to wait for our food. Last night it was raining, and all we ordered was a cheeseburger and a Chicken Royale. I heard the manager yell to the girl taking orders that it would take more than 40 seconds, so she should ask us to park as well. We parked and waited about two minutes before someone brought the food out, after they’d already come out once to give the car in front of us their order. I work at Maccas, so I understand how much these jobs are driven by the clock, but why does HJs do this every single time?

I feel like the DCs push inventory on us that will just sit and eventually will be added to clearance and just take up back stock shelf space.
