Everything has gone downhill fast. This is not the world we grew up in, I feel like a stranger to the world as it is now. Overcrowded: Everytime I go out, even briefly, theres so much traffic on the road, so many horrendous drivers, everywhere is packed. I’m curious about what life is like there, because the maps make it look strange. According to the 2025 maps, Ekron has five churches, a gun shop, and not a single restaurant, bar, or store. It gives off some strong Midsommar-but-Christian vibes. Wikipedia says most people there are white Americans, yet half the restaurants in Brandenburg are Mexican. What’s life like over there? I used to love cooking on weekends, trying new recipes, all of it. Now with two kids and both of us working, cooking feels like this thing I have to survive rather than enjoy. By the time we get home it's already 6pm and everyone's hungry and cranky. I miss the days when I could spend an hour making something interesting. Now it's just stress about getting food on the table fast. Meal kits didn't help because they still took forever and the kids complained anyway. A lot of people ask about the guilt of even thinking about leaving veganism. I think most exvegans deal with that, and it’s valid. However, I would like us to share the freedom that comes after so that those who need the safe space or the little push may see that the guilt doesn’t last forever and they can overcome the ideology that took over them for months/years. I’ll start: sure, the ability to eat the food I grew up with was great. But what I missed the most was the ability to go out with my family and friends and socialize without worrying about veganism the entire time. I can now focus on things that truly matter to me.

I drive a semi truck with a sleeper cab. I just started a new job. It's been exactly one month.
