Took my baby Violet to the vet for her monthly checkup last week and we found out that she’s not producing enough RBC. She lost her appetite too and refused to eat kibble as well as wet food. Dr told us that it’s most likely because she has low RBC and also caught the flu. Her temp was quite high and she was sleeping a lot. She was given antibiotics as well as an injection to promote the growth of new hormones (EPO injection). Fast forward to this week, we took her to get her injection and the vet asked to do a blood work before administering it again.
