My physical card works fine everywhere, but Google Pay is hit or miss. Got declined at the grocery store, then approved at a gas pump, declined inside the same gas station, switched registers and it went through. Went to a Chinese buffet later and it worked no problem. it was working perfectly fine just last week. Nothing changed on my end.
