My mate and I wanna start a cat food business. Looking for some advice?

1h ago

It all started when my roommate and I started making our own cat food for our rescue cats, especially one with tummy issues. We figured out a recipe that worked real well for us and did that a couple years. With time, people caught on to it and wanted us to make some for their pets. We started doin it and after a few years, we have a little set up that makes some money here and there, but we been talking about making it more official. The main issue we're thinkin is whether the market for high quality cat food like ours is oversaturated in the Uk since there's already brands like untamed and kitkan and marro out there. We'd want to do a subscription like they do, although it w...

I feel out of place with my new job

1h ago

so im 16 and this’ll be my first ever job. about a week ago I had applied for a grocery store in which i was lucky and got accepted into. so yesterday was training (gonna be honest it ******) I thought I’d actually be doing what I was supposed to be doing but that’s not until next week,I just had to watch a ton of training videos nonstop lmao but now ill get to the real thing. So before watching the videos, the administrator -super nice older lady we got to talk a little in which I told her I was homeschooled but later she gave me a tour of the back of the store, where the lunch room is, managers office, stuff like that. So when she introduced me to the three managers and the store lea...

A dying femboy

1h ago

I know it’s kinda weird but after like 8-9 years I am trying to stop being a femboy. I’m kinda in a spot in my life where I’m trying to focus more on my wife and trying to raise kids. I’ve done most of the more fun girly things I could have done besides my bucket list of being a bridesmaid but ya girl cant find any girl friends that aren’t jerks after a few years lol I’ve always had that dream of being that grill dad for my wife and I know that’s what she wants as well. Having kids can be harder for some so it’s been a struggle for both of us. So it’s a time where I feel I need to make the proper steps to achieve that goal. I’ll still do cosplay and special events like ...

Go to your local market! You will save 30% and much better quality (comparison)

1h ago

So I see a lot of posts (understandably) about grocery prices at major supermarkets (Albert Heijn, Jumbo). Here is a price comparison from today. I just went to a local market in Amsterdam and got a nice bag of fresh vegetables and bread from the baker. I don't need to tell you that the quality is vastly superior. In fact, I wanted to make a picture of the products but my wife already ate half when she made a salad because it was so tasty. I paid **17 euros** at the market. Here is the comparative AH prices: * 1kg tomatoes (closest comparison is tasty tom, still worse quality than market): 8.39 euros * 2 red bell peppers: 2.18 euros * 300gr fresh cherries: 5.38 euros * 2 avocado'...

Sick of husband literally never wanting to leave the house

1h ago

So we have 4 kids - 7,6,4 year olds and a 2 month old. Since as long as I can remember my husband has always ***** going out but he still used to do it. For the last maybe 2 years he's literally not wanted to do anything at all with us - he doesn't want to go to soft play, community fun days, the park, or just ******* anything. There's always some reason like it's too hot, too cold, he has work to do, he has to clean, he didn't go to the ******* shower, didn't eat, or just creates some problem about something which I apparently didn't do when I was supposed to, just so that he doesn't have to go and do anything. Me and the kids always go by ourselves s...

Job market ,employment , income source

There are three sects of yadav out there (might be 4 , those who are very very poor) Starting with the \[1st \]section POOR or below middle class . These mostly lives in villages , minority in towns , household income less than 6 or 5 lpa , parents in farming small farmers or small kirana stores , or low paying govt jobs , hadn't much access to good education from early age , not much exposure, waste time on reels , carrying flags of political party, wasting time thinking how their political leaders will survive (leaders having net worth in 100 crores or 1000) If they are average in iq should focus on army , police Constable, post somewhat higher than constables , railway grp d ,c...

Sharing yesterday’s antique adornments!

1h ago

Excuse the mess, I’m in the storage room of the vintage clothing store I work at 🤣 Yesterday I wore a 1910’s cotton lawn dress that I rescued from a lady who was going to chop it up and turn it into doll clothing 😅 For jewelry, I am wearing a pair of Victorian Etruscan revival earrings, along with a Victorian Etruscan revival locket, and a teeny tiny Victorian hairwork brooch pinned to satin ribbon. After work, I went to a lecture on sentimental and mourning jewelry hosted in my friends’ antique shop, and then went out for Thai food 🤗

Mizuno Neo Zen 2 First Impressions - Did Not Enjoy At All (as a Heavy Neo Zen 1 User)

1h ago

TLDR: I am so, so disappointed with the Neo Zen 2, especially when the Neo Zen 1 was my absolute favourite and best for recovery and general aerobic runs up to 16km (10 miles), and I had at least 800km (\~500 miles) across 3 Neo Zen 1s. 161 cm, 67kg/147lbs 30+ M who typically runs 5-6 days a week in a tropical climate country in Asia. Typically strikes Midfoot to Forefoot. I just finished a marathon 3 weeks ago and am following a 5-week Pfitzinger Marathon Recovery plan right now. While travelling in Japan, I stopped by the official Mizuno Store in Tokyo and wanted to snag myself the new Neo Zen 2. I had pre-read some of the posts on here about how people were disappointed with the Neo Zen...

What stores have the best apps for deals, coupons or rewards to help with the grocery bill?

1h ago

I just was able to stack a whole bunch of deals on the CVS app and saved over half off my purchase and it got me thinking about what I’m missing at some of the grocery stores in these expensive times. What do you use to save $$ out there?

The U.S. spent $25 billion on the war in Iran, a conflict many Americans didn't ask for. This amount could have cleared all U.S. medical debt ten times over. Instead, essential services like healthcare and education suffer. #WarSpending #Healthcare The speaker highlights the financial impact of military spending, questioning priorities that lead to cuts in programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. "It's high time we said enough is enough," they argue, urging a reevaluation of how tax dollars are used. Comment LINK (on instagram) and we will DM you the link to https://www.instagram.com/reel/DX9u7algJM2/ -- While Americans struggle t...

A week in San Jose

1h ago

Would share some small tips after being in Costa Rica for a week specifically in San Jose. There’s a bit of a TAXI cartel here and trips to and from the airport which is quite close are a standard price of $30 Uber works fine and it’s cheaper. Still not super cheap though. Traffic is god awful during the weekdays and longer trips can be really really slow. If you’re a risk taker you can book an Uber Moto and get on the back of somebody’s motorcycle and go through/round traffic. I did not try this out The public buses and trains are pretty good and frequent and can be paid with a credit card or Apple Pay - except for a few older buses . They are also very cheap typically a...

Properties of Wool (research)

1h ago

I did some research today about the wool properties and decided to post my thoughts here, in hopes that it will be useful for you as well. Wool isn’t just “warm.” It actually behaves like a natural temperature-regulating system that can cool you down during exercise. Most people associate wool with winter. But the weird thing is: good wool (especially merino) often feels cooler than cotton or polyester when you're hiking, working hard, or sweating. TL;DR**:** Wool behaves a bit like a built-in biological “phase change material” (PCM). It absorbs sweat vapor before your shirt gets soaked, smooths out temperature spikes, and can reduce that gross sweaty freezing cycle people ...

Shipped a local-first visit logbook for field techs — SwiftData + Speech framework + on-device PDF export. Writeup of ...

1h ago

Just shipped Field Stub: Visit Log to the App Store. Fifth app under my LLC, but the first one where I really pushed SwiftData and Speech into territory I hadn't touched before. Writing this up because the technical challenges were more interesting than I expected and a few of them weren't well-documented anywhere I could find. **What it does** Logbook app for solo IT contractors and MSP techs. The unit of work is a "visit" — you start one on arrival, it captures timestamp and location, you drop in notes, photos, voice memos with transcription, and parts as you work. End the visit and it generates a PDF for invoicing or records. Free for 5 clients, $39 one-time un...

Need soft food ideas asap

1h ago

Our 12 month old was diagnosed yesterday with herpangina, a strain of hand foot and mouth that only causes blisters in the back of the throat. Of course this happens while we're transitioning from formula. Ha I've been serving yogurt and fruit/veggie purees, banana, canned crab, shredded cheese, avocado...but that's basically all I have in the house that she'll eat. I've added cottage cheese to the grocery list, but what else can I serve that aren't pouches? I mean I'll give her pouches so she's getting calories... I'm open to ideas so she doesn't get bored with the same foods. Also trying to avoid fruits with too much acid. Edit: also serv...
