How to make $100 last

3h ago

I find myself with only $100 for the rest of this month. Not asking for money, I have paid my bills and have at least 2 weeks of food. I'm most concerned about running out of food before I get paid again, get paid monthly. What foods and/or stores should I try and find? My hope is next month I will actually save money after bills and such.

Agentic Commerce Is No Longer Coming. It's Here. And Most Shopify Merchants Are Already Invisible.

3h ago

AI traffic to US e-commerce sites surged 4,700% year-over-year in July 2025. During Cyber Week 2025, 1 in 5 orders globally involved an AI agent, roughly $70 billion in GMV in a single week. This isn't a trend. Commerce is being rewired right now. ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, WhatsApp. These are the new storefronts. And if your Shopify store isn't readable by AI agents, you don't exist to them. They won't figure it out. They'll just move to a competitor they can actually work with. That's the problem Helio AI was built to solve. Helio is an agentic commerce platform for Shopify merchants. It makes your catalogue, policies, and customer behaviour machine-readable...

I found a notebook in my late mother's attic. It's a detailed log of my daily routine from 2011. It's not...

**PART I** I'm going to try to be methodical about this because every time I try to explain it out loud it comes out wrong and people look at me like I'm either lying or unwell. Writing it out helps me keep the order of things straight. My mother passed away in February. She was 71, it was expected, it wasn't a shock in the way some deaths are but it was still terrible. I'm an only child and my father's been gone since I was in college so the job of going through the house fell entirely to me. I took two weeks off work and drove out to the town I grew up in and started from the top down. The attic was last. My mother was not a hoarder exactly but she kept thi...

New Gundam series Idea #6 (Bonus Round) - Movie - MSG: The Solomon Plan

3h ago

This one is going to be an epic anime movie. **Genre:** SciFi, Mecha, Apocalyptic, Cosmic Horror, Dystopian **Animation Style:** Origin Spirits of The Past **Aesthetics:** Retro 80s, Cassette Futurism, Retrofuturism, Atompunk **Dubbing:** Japanese, English (60% British, 20% American, 10% Australian), Portugese, Italian, French, Scandinavian **Theme:** I've been watching latest episodes of Fallout Series, also have watched Future War 198x, and then I got this idea. This movie revolves around with an idea that peace can be achieved with radical motion of using an extreme methods that will cost lives of millions to end wars or in other words, sacrifice 50% of humanity to save other 50...

M4A Miami sunset

3h ago

I lived a normal life, I previously lived in Texas and I met my wife in Texas and settled down in Austin from 1980 onwards until my work told me I needed to go to Miami to work in 1997. It was now 2 years into my job, I was paid a lot more and I sent anything extra to my wife, I lived in a one-bedroom apartment that was spacious and I had furnished the apartment well. My life was endlessly boring, I went to work, I left work, and came home and I usually called you in the night, I enjoyed my work and the extra pay helped me pay off the bills and raise our child well. I paid off the mortgage single-handedly and now I never have to worry about paying for our family home, which saved us a lot...

Travel itinerary confirmation

3h ago

Does this look ok? All the stays are booked. I haven’t booked any trains yet and not sure if I need to do it ahead of time since it’s not peak season? And should we go with 8 day Swiss pass since we need it for 7 days? Any recs for the panoramic trains and which side to sit? Any other recs for things to do in these places or lunch/dinner? Some of our meals will be at home kbbq from grocery stores or cup noodles. Also how has the weather been recently? Is it green at all lol Thanks!

Wondering if I’ll get fired, did I do the right thing?

3h ago

hi, I work for ross, it’s my first retail job. I’ve been working there a good 7 months now, it’s boring and chaotic most times but it gets the bills paid at least. i was recently called into my manager’s office to speak to the district manager over the phone, he spoke to me like a friendly police interrogator who was waiting for me to spill. he said he knew what I had done and just wanted me to be honest. i was only a little nervous because I had never stolen from the store or had purposely not scanned a customer’s item. So I asked them what would be an example of loss that he thinks I had committed. He asked if I had ever purposely not scanned an item for a customer, which I re...

DC to Seattle, with 2 kids - what is realistic

3h ago

Good folks! Sanity check my thinking, please! Planning a USA cross country trip in July 2026, Washington DC to Seattle WA, 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 7 & 11), in a Subaru Outback. We're moving for work, will be shipping our stuff, and wanting to do the roadtrip to \*really feeeel\* the transition and the width of the continent. I've got some 7hr driving days, which feels like pushing it; I haven't looked at hotels or grocery store stops yet. Also unsure how to account for stops at national parks, etc. Days 3,4, and 8,9, look the most like they could use an additional day in between? But if so, what to look at/which towns to stay in? Trying to find the magical bal...

How was your country in 2002?

3h ago

I took a trip to Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, Peru, and Venezuela in 2002 I know it was a long time ago and a completely different world, sometimes I think it was more fun to travel back then and really get away but the lounge music, amazing food and amazing people I met I will remember forever, I still have a playlist of all the lounge and jazz music I heard walking by stores and cafes!

ADHD Ladies: Do you find that there's a correlation between your diagnosis and your spending habits?

3h ago

I didn't get diagnosed until last year but had a suspicion that I had ADHD for maybe the last decade. A friend was telling me all the symptoms that manifest for women and a lot of things started to click for me. More recently, I've been trying to address why money (or lack thereof) has been such a dominating problem in my entire adult life. I grew up in an immigrant household and there was no real financial literacy so I used to attribute it that. But I'm in my late 30s now and I don't think that's an excuse I can continue to cling on since I am fascinated by financial literacy and have been for awhile now. BUT I don't follow anything I learn. I am in A L...

In game currency seems to be wrong

3h ago

In the epic games store on the web, and in the Xbox store, the prices are correctly displayed in my local currency if I sign in in a browser.. but when I go to rocket league’s item shop on my Xbox it offers all prices in USD and it seems I can’t buy anything - if I try it switches to an Xbox store that’s in $ (and my US dollar balance is zero) How can I use my Xbox local currency balance?

[iOS] [39.99$ -> Annual] Clear Cuisine : Skip Ads , Start Cooking

3h ago

Tired of endless life stories and ads on recipe sites? I built Clear Cuisine to extract just the recipe using Apple Intelligence. Have you ever just wanted to bake some cookies or cook a quick dinner, but had to scroll through a 1,000-word essay and dodge 20 pop-up ads just to find the ingredients list? I got completely fed up with this, so I built **Clear Cuisine**. **What it does:** Clear Cuisine is designed to cut through the noise. You simply share a recipe link from Safari (or paste it into the app), and it instantly strips away all the ads, pop-ups, and lengthy blog posts. It leaves you with exactly what you came for: a clean, easy-to-read list of ingredients and step-by-step inst...

I've been trying for over 2 years to buy Pokemon Cards

3h ago

For 2 years now, I have been trying all local stores whenever I go in for groceries or other things, to find literally any Pokemon cards. I was able to get them from Walmart and The Pokemon Center up until November 2023 and ever since, I can only find them online for like 3 times the cost or more of what I used to pay for them. I've seen signs at Walmart that talk about limits but can't seem to locate when exactly they even have any to buy. Do they only have them the day a new collection comes out? Does anybody know when maybe Walmart or Target might restock these sort of items? Do I need to be getting there when the store opens just to still be able to buy cards?

Beta Testers welcomed

3h ago

I’m looking for a few beta testers for a game hosting platform I’ve been building. The beta will be free to use for about 3–5 months, or when i have good numbers. The platform runs on the Pterodactyl panel with DDoS protection, not sure how well but it should work. The infrastructure currently has 30 nodes total, with 15 running during the beta, all using 10G NICs execpt for the 5x older systems, 10700t's. 10G internal networking, an 80Gb NAS uplink, and 2.5Gbps external up/down. Servers are located in US West. This beta is mainly to see real-world usage. Things like bandwidth, power draw, heat, and overall uptime when people are actually running servers, NAS workloads, system...

Went on a date tonight… ended up using the emergency exit code with my best friend.

3h ago

I (39F) have been talking to a guy we’ll call Kyle (43M) for about a month. I originally met him around ten years ago when he was on our business’s pickup and delivery route. We hadn’t talked in years, but I remembered him as a cool, laid-back guy, so when we reconnected I was excited. Our first phone conversation went really well. We covered the basics and laughed a lot. He mentioned he’d been drinking because he was on vacation, which seemed fair at the time. After that we mostly texted during the workday and occasionally talked on the phone. Over time it started to seem like he drank more than he initially let on during his days off. I had already told him that I rarely drink. A...

I can win. He can’t. It’s for the best.

After all this time, we finally got here, just to find we couldn’t get in.  After all this time, all those troubles and crimes, we can’t get in. Not *together.* Not as *us.*  We didn’t realise that buying food and accommodations would add up so quickly. We got careless, cocky. We just about have enough money left to pay for one of us to enter the valley. Only one of us can enter. We could give up. We could turn back. We could go back home with tales of a wonderful journey and leave all this glory behind, say that we didn't think it was worth it when we had gone all this way together.  That’s what he’s going to want us to do. *He doesn’t understand that then there wo...

Volume Eating Cookbook and Ingredient list

3h ago

I was curious if you guys knew about any volume eating Cookbooks. I've been at this for a while but still would love to learn. And some days, I just want to turn my brain off and follow a recipe. Also having a master ingredient list to fill my kitchen when at the grocery store is nice, but I'm sure there are still many ingredients I'm unaware of that could be used for volume eating.

Are you talking to me?!

3h ago

This just happened yesterday and I’m still just shaking my head. I made a quick run to Publix yesterday and grabbed a cart on the way inside. I recently had back surgery and my right leg tends to seize up. I use the cart to lean on while shopping so I don’t fall on the floor. The longer I walk the worse my limp gets. It’s important for later. As I left the store and started loading groceries into my trunk, I hear a woman’s voice. I turned around and asked “are you talking to me”. She immediately says: I don’t know what your game is but that fake limp isn’t cutting it, it’s not getting you a handicap spot. I watched you walking into the store with no limp.” My respons...
