Hi Reddit, I’m a parent of three, and last week my car got towed and I’m running out of groceries. I have rice, beans, and pasta, but my kids won’t eat beans. recently I've got a new job that's 40 hours a week at a grocery store. its overnight so I dont mind it too much since I won't have to talk to many people but I have trouble with being away from home so much. when I work so many days in a row, I get burned out and kind of shut down. some days when I get home I just go nonverbal and drift off to my little safe space in my head. im not diagnosed autistic because my insurance won't cover it and its very expensive but I know I show many symptoms of it. my question is how can I relax on my 2 off days and after work so I dont just quit when im overwhelmed? how do you guys do it?

I go to a local bakery every week with my children and my service trained dog. The owner knows us, greets my dog, and even gives him dog donuts. We’ve never had any problems before.
