SQL vs NoSQL for building a custom multi-tenant ERP for retail chain (new build inspired by Zoho, current on MS SQL Serv...

Hey folks, We're planning a ground-up custom multi-tenant ERP build (Flutter frontend, inspired by Zoho's UX and modular patterns) to replace our current setup for a retail chain in India. Existing ops: 340+ franchise outlets (FOFO) + 10+ company-owned (COCO), scaling hard to 140+ COCO, exploding userbase, and branching into new verticals beyond pharmacy (clinics, diagnostics, wellness, etc.). The must-haves that keep us up at night: • Ironclad inventory control (zero tolerance for ghost stock, unbilled inwards, POS-inventory mismatches) • Head-office led procurement (auto-POs, MOQ logic, supplier consolidation) • Centralized product master (HO-locked SKUs, batches...

**Hey everyone!** My name is Lasse and along with my lovely wife Romy and my trusty steed errr I mean dog Meepo (AKA 'fart director') we've been working on a paleontology inspired game called Fossil Quest. Entrusted with your family mansion, your job is to setup the museum of your dreams. **Things you can do!** ✈️Travel to dig sites ⛏️Excavate fossils 🦕Assemble exhibits 🧩Fix broken fossils 🎨Decorate your home …and open your museum for visitors! So far we've had over 100k plays on itch and [gx.games](http://gx.games) and the support has been so overwhelming, especially for a tiny 2-person team based in South Africa. We'd love your co...

KDR Nawala na sa Pulpito: KNP Ang Bagong Tagapagsalita ng Iglesia, Public Demands More Substance!

1h ago

My neighbor murdered my rescue goose & I can’t let it go 💔😥

1h ago

Hi friends, I’ve posted a few times in here about the Canadian goose we rescued over the summer - Harley. He was kicked out of the neighborhood by DNR once only to find his way home again…unfortunately about a month and a half later - a psychotic man living across the street from us unalived Harley with some type of crossbow looking thing? Idk he’d been taunting and practicing all summer in his side yard at a goose size target, shouted obscenities at me from across the street for sitting on my own porch looking away from him, spread lies about me throughout the neighborhood and to township officials, and tried to extort an elderly neighbor after telling her we refused to cover their $1...

*Idea* small packets of grease and other consumerables

1h ago

How often have you done a small project, but bought the normal can of anti-seize, cooper grease, or dielectric grease, leaving you with excess product on your shelf for years only to go unused. Business idea would be focused on small packets or tubes of consumables. Easy to handle, use, and discard. I know this exists out there, but I think solid branding and sales could bring this to all corners of the marketplace; thinking grocery stores, hardware stores, auto parts stores, pharmacies. Using a co-packer would be likely the best option. Is this too niche? Is this really only a viable product for a conglomerate?

Grandparents are our first true love ❤️

1h ago

Grandchildren are very important in an African setting. we all are someone's grandchild. it symbolises continuity of generations in a family. some who are unfortunate to have kids suffer because of such stuff. Today marks 1 year since I lost my last surviving grandparent. she died from poisoning ( yeah you read that right😢)Land really drives people crazy I loved that woman as much as she loved me❤️.she gave me many second chances without giving up on me.. she taught me the importance of second chances, love, ambition, femininity, family and generousity. early December last year, we were making plans for Christmas and all she'd say was "God will give us plans, only for ...

I always say that hanging out with the right people can be therapeutic.

I planned a movie night with my friends who are also my colleagues. And while we were discussing and making arrangements for it, we all decided to give it a theme just for the fun of it and to ensure the food, movies and snacks followed the theme as well. Preparing for this was harder than I had expected, I had to order a few things from Alibaba, do an entire grocery shopping, change my sitting room furniture, and thoroughly clean my entire house. It was difficult but I was trying to impress my crush and not just all my guests. We were all settled in, with a variety of food and drinks to choose from, as each person came in with an appetizer tray and even wine. I was surprised I didn...

Awesome Copy 6th in MacOS App Store!

1h ago

There are hundreds of clipboard history managers in the Mac App Store, and I'm super excited to see Awesome Copy is 6th in the list! I'm actually not sure how that is even possible, it only has 23 ratings in the US App Store, but hey I'm not complaining. Thanks for everyone who has already rated the app and for anyone who has not yet, app ratings help me out so much, [here is a direct link ](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6745275375?action=write-review). Side note my App Store screen shots and videos are pretty rough, the app doesn't even look the same anymore, so I have that on my TODO list to update, along with trying to make a half way decent website. P.S. I'm...

What is the coffee culture like in New Zealand?

1h ago

Hello from the USA! I was at a local grocery store today and came across Allpress Espresso, and noticed the label said it was made in New Zealand. It honestly might be the first NZ product I’ve ever seen in person, which got me curious. What’s coffee culture like in New Zealand? * Is espresso-based coffee (flat whites, long blacks, etc.) the norm? * Are there popular local roasters or blends people swear by? * Is Allpress something everyday people actually drink, or is it more of an export brand? * Are commercial coffee brands such as Starbucks or other vendors popular or do people make their own coffee? * How much money does the average New Zealander spend on coffee in a week?

"Whatever knows fear, burns at the Man-Thing's touch!"

1h ago

I actually remember reading Marvel's Man-Thing #1 (the one that began in 1979, not the 1974 run) from the grocery store comic-book rack when I was a kid. My family were first-gen immigrants to the USA and didn't have much money, so we couldn't buy frivolous things like comic-books. So, at the grocery store, I would read them as quickly as possible, but Man-Thing #1 made an indelible impression on me. The sequence where a couple of alligators attack the Man-Thing and he ends up immolating one with the mysterious burning power frightened and fascinated my young impressionable mind. Randomly wandering around in the Amazon (Amazon.com), I went down the animal toys rabbit-hol...

I made a thing! (...using Google AI Studio...to learn Mandarin)

1h ago

I love Google Translate but one thing I find frustrating about it is that the UI makes it hard (impossible) to know what mandarin word corresponds to what english word. For example **The car is in the garage** translates to "汽车在车库里" or "Qiche zai cheku li." So...which word is **garage**? Is it "里 (lǐ)?" Nope! So this was the pain I wanted to address. I used Google AI Studio to vibe code an enhanced Google Translate that provides word-for-word translations, as seen here: [Word breakdown!](https://preview.redd.it/llep2si6aw8g1.png?width=612&format=png&auto=webp&s=a774215ff76d9e8e0ffccde1478e5221309760f8) I also added:...

Built a small app because I was tired of not knowing why I felt awful all the time

1h ago

Hey everyone, I’ve been dealing with IBS for a few years now, and like a lot of people here, I spent way too long trying to figure out what was actually triggering my symptoms. I had random notes in my phone, plenty of chatgpt chats, and way too many moments googling “is this low fodmap/ AIP / dairy free” like an *****. None of it really stuck or helped long-term :D Eventually I got annoyed enough that I started building my own thing. It’s called EatSense. It’s basically a food + symptom diary where you can log meals, gut stuff, mood, etc. The AI part just helps classify foods (low fodmap, dairy free, AIP friendly, etc.) so you don’t have to look everything up manually ...

Cat ate tinsel, vet wasn’t helpful

1h ago

My roommate put tinsel on her tree and around 4 days ago I watched my 8-ish (we don’t know) year old cat slurp up a piece and it disappeared into her mouth before I could clear the space between us. I immediately called the emergency vet, this was around 12-1pm, and they told me to come in at 9pm with a sample of the tinsel. When we got there the vet told us there was basically no way that the tinsel would show up on an x-ray, and they weren’t comfortable opening her up without knowing if anything was wrong. They also told us that because we didn’t bring her in earlier (we brought her when they said to) they couldn’t induce vomiting because it might not be in the stomach anymore. The...
