I have previous experience in retail store operations, POS billing, stock replenishment, and in India As an international student trying to support my studies and living expenses, getting a part-time opportunity would really mean a lot. Even a referral, tip, or information about stores that might be hiring would help me greatly. If anyo... First it is cute as just the feeling of being called an uncle by a toddler makes one feel nice. It can be tough because you have to act ‘the cool uncle’ toward them, however broke an uncle can be, their niece or nephew believes that they must be gifted each and every time they meet. Recently, my nephew turned 5 years old. My sister decided that it was best fit for him to join school. I was also excited as I love learning and it was my joy to see a kid join school. When my sister wants to do some preparations, I quickly volunteer to go with her to the supermarket as I was on my university long holiday. Within a month... 6 Days in Paris: Itinerary vs Reality3h agoJust got back from a trip and wanted to share what the itinerary was, how things ended up changing, and what we thought of everything. This is long, but I think it includes a lot of useful information, so hopefully it is helpful to someone! Day 1 plans: Arrive at CDG, Travel to hotel to drop off luggage, Walk or take metro to Eiffel Tower, View Eiffel Tower, Walk along the Seine, Pont Alexandre III, Hôtel national des Invalides, Shop at La Grande Épicerie de Paris for hotel snacking supplies, Make our way back to hotel and get settled How Day 1 went: We arrived in the morning after a very long trip. Took a G7 to the hotel which went smoothly (used app to pay) and dropped off our luggage ... The US Just Collapsed!3h agoThe US government just collapsed because the prayers of Islamists were finally answered and a massive astroid struck North America and wiped out all life. Celebrations all over the planet. Even Europe is joyous and celebrating in the streets. "Would be a great occasion to open that wine bottle I have been saving for an occasion just like this, but we must respect the feelings of our new overlords the Islamists...anyway...yay!!" one European man said. The Russian army joins European citizens on the streets celebrating, distributing gift packages, containing a heartfelt congratulatory message from Putin himself and a bowl of borscht soup just in case there is no food for the next a... I solved the problem with android Unit Conversion apps no one else has noticed3h agoHey, r/sideproject! On google play there’s a problem that google refuses to admit, ads in most apps make them unusable. I have a degree in physics so I frequently find myself using a quick unit conversion app but am always annoyed by the fact that any unit conversion app has an ad after a single conversion. So I made an app that doesn’t have ads and doesn’t have in-app purchases. Was it a waste of my time? Probably. Did I enjoy it? Sure. The app was just released yesterday, if anyone has any feedback on it or things I could improve it would be very helpful. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sldstudio.unitconverter&hl=en\_US Lease Takeover – Midtown Sacramento – $1,600/mo – Move-In 3/263h agoHi everyone! Location: Georgia and Alabama In 2014 I had my son who was around 2 years old, and I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, me and their father moved and were living in a camper on the property of his mother and step father. Just Jerk It!3h agoWhat's on my grapes?3h agoJust got these at the grocery store and was about to wash them and noticed 3 or 4 bad grapes but this white powdery stuff is on a lot of them. Will they be ok if I wash them really well or toss? Travel recommendations 27m3h agoHey everyone, I need help choosing where to go while I visit France at the end of June this year. Im going to hike the peaks of the Balkans in Albania and will have a week in France before I head back to the US. I’m looking to practice my French, I love wine and food, and maybe party a bit. I am torn between Bordeaux, Biarritz, Toulouse, Lyon, and Montpelier. I’m keen on doing something unique that isn’t as much just visiting a city (why I thought Biarritz was cool, I could surf). I’ll be taking a train from Antwerp most likely, through the night ideally. Down for whatever, I’m active, I like wine, food, cheese, and nature. I also like to run so if there’s any sweet run c... Bird Feeding Advice3h ago\*Follow up from previous post re my wild cockatoo friend with beak and feather disease\* My partner and I have a lot of birds in our yard and we are passionate about wildlife, so started feeding them seed, fruit and got a bird bath. We already had cockatoos hanging around as they love the eucalyptus trees in our yard. Now they have been coming everyday for a feed - there's 1 that has beak and feather disease and become reliant on us as a food source (discussed in previous post) ;( </3 The whole situation has devastated me, I built a friendship with a wild bird with a strong and funny personality who needs to be euthanised. We've taken down the bird feeder - but I feel ter... I just bought some of these little sauce bowls at a Korean grocery store and was only able to get 3 of the white ones. I would loveee to get a 4th to have a complete set. Does anyone know where I can buy these?? I stayed at all 3 IHG properties in Grand Cayman on points — Here’s how they compare3h agoFirst time caller, long time listener. Figured I would make this post since this sub has been helpful for me - and there tends to be lots of discourse around the Grand Cayman properties. I am primarily a points traveler and try to use the least amount of cash possible on flights/accommodation when traveling. I happened to find a great deal on American Airlines for flights to GC (15k AA points round trip!) in January. So my wife and I decided to take our 1 year-old on his first trip to the beach. We are both Platinum Elite members and each had an annual free night credit (40k points max) expiring that month, and after hearing good things about Seafire & Indigo from this sub, we thoug... Have y'all every planned a gay wedding??3h agoSo we are getting married in November and I feel like I am stressing out with planning it all. For context my partner is in school full time and runs a restaurant full time. So his time is limited. I want our wedding to be amazing. 1. First choice was to do it in our backyard. We have a big house, huge yard, and we are inviting about 100 guests including family. We live in a country club neighborhood. Friday we were out running and had an appointment to check out the banquet hall at our country club. We ran holding dry shirts so we didn't look absolutely disgusting. After the tour, we walked out of the place. He asked me what I thought. I said it wasn't us and he agreed. 2. In cas... Thoughts on Bagging Your Own Groceries3h agoSo I took a double batch earlier this week at my local Albertsons that I shop at very frequently, for a few years actually. Everything went smoothly shopping-wise, I went to the checkout and put my orders in the belt, separated by a stick. This checklane had both a cashier and a bagger at the end to help bag groceries, so I stepped back and let the cashier and bagger do their work. The lady who was the cashier was at first really nice when she was ringing me up, asking me the usual questions like “How is your day going so far?” and the other usual questions, and I reciprocated and asked those questions back. I even told her that I had another checkout behind the stick to and she was okay... IM SO DONE WITH THIS3h agoPlsss bear with me this is a hefty read. So at my high school we have this dating thing, where you can sign up too get matched with someone that has similar interests as you. So I get matched with this guy that is a grade over me(I’m F 17). We get each other’s IG’s and we started talking we clicked it of pretty good, finding a connection through our love for videos games and our dislike for a few teachers at our school. Idk what happened after our first conversation but he kinda turned shy? Idk so most of the time I would have to start a conversation with him, which for me is kinda awkward because I have no experience with talking to a guy in that kinda way.. and it didn’t h... I joined a parent support group and realized every single one of us was faking it3h agoMy pediatrician gave me the concerned face at our last checkup because I got a little too honest about how I was doing and she recommended I try a mom support group. I pictured the absolute worst, sad circle, fluorescent lighting, someone passes around a talking stick, everybody cries into their coffee. It was in someones living room, eight moms, kids ranging from newborn to about 5. The facilitator asks everyone to introduce themselves and share how theyre doing. First woman: "Im doing great just a little tired but so blessed." And I watch every other woman in the room nod along like yep great blessed tired same. So I figure ok this is going to be completely surface level and I... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
