This family of magpies decided to line up and warble for some nuts. We have tried different foods and our neighbours give mince meat, the best one we found they like was walnuts. They always warble or screech (juveniles) to let us know they are here.

We’re finishing the interior of a new build ourselves. We plan to cover the walls of several rooms with oak paneling (we are finishing the oak plywood ourselves). The local inspector tells us that wood covered walls like this will not meet code and we would need to paint the wood with a clear fire coat retardant. Back in late June 2025, my fiancée and I bought two Pixel 9a units at the Google Store in NYC (Chelsea Market). Since then, we have been incredibly frustrated because we simply cannot get our WhatsApp data to transfer from our old phones to the new Pixels. I am coming from a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and she is coming from an iPhone 13. I’m in end-stage heart failure. I’m not a candidate for heart transplant so will be living with a life support device soon. As a part of my care, my medical team has either strongly advised or required me to wear a N95 mask. When I went through heart transplant evaluation this past August I was told I’d absolutely be required to wear the mask in all public spaces going forward and wasn’t even to go inside stores for the first year after transplant. Now that I’ll be using the life support device I’m required to wear the mask in all public spaces until I get the all clear about 6 months after surgery.
