Had some leftover strawberries that were about to go bad, so NYTimed strawberries and came across this recipe. Very good! Would definitely make again. It wasn't overly sweet, more a bready cake if that makes sense. Did not have demerara sugar, nor did my grocery store so used white sugar. However, used 1 1/2 tablepsoons instead of 3 because it seemed to be a lot. I think because demerara sugar is mote corse and bulky it takes up more space so 3 tbsp would worked. I made it in a 8 inch square pan, but man it took forever to bake. Like an extra 30 mins. If you have a 9 inch cake pan I would use that. Specifically, about the fact that nutrients in the US are specified per "serving". In Europe, the labels always specify nutrients and calories per 100g / 100ml, and in my mind this allows me to instantly come to a conclusion about how relatively healthy the food is compared to other food I know. Whereas in the US food labels, it's per serving, and the serving size appears to be arbitrary and prone to manipulation by the producer, which forces me to do mental math. Would you prefer the food labels to specify nutrients per a fixed weight across all foods, or are you happy with the way things are?

I was told I could start walking in regular shoes after week 6 and I have been switching between surgical boot and Altras (only shoe my foot will fit in). I still have a good deal of pain when I try to walk in a normal gait and my foot is still pretty swollen. The pain is mostly worse in the morning and at the end of the day.
