Here's how to master the art of effortless iced coffee that saves you time and money. # The Reality Check: Two Paths to Iced Coffee Perfection **Path 1: Traditional Cold Brew** (5 minutes prep, 12+ hours brewing) **Path 2: Instant Iced Coffee** (Literally 2 minutes from pod to cup) Both have their place in your bus...

Taking care of my parent after surgery is draining me

3h ago

My mom recently had a major surgery and I (23F) am the only one taking care of her. Family and friends for the most part live 1 hour+ away, and the few friends that live somewhat nearby have full time jobs and their own families to take care of so I don’t have anyone that I could really ask to check on/take care of my mom while she’s at work. I have a full time job and I have to wake up at 6:00 am for my one hour commute to work, which leaves me no time to do much for my mom before I go. In a perfect world I’d hire someone but I’m not drowning in money so that’s not an option. Sorry to be a little TMI but I haven’t even been able to shower for a few days or really do anything fo...

Help with groceries?

3h ago

Hello everyone. I'm wondering if anyone is able to help with food/groceries? I'm just having a rough time at the moment. I don't have food stamps and no transportation right now to get to any food pantries or I would go. If possible I would need to have it dropped off. I live in the Saint Clair-Superior area. Please no harsh comments and thank you all for reading. Please DM me if you're able to help and I'll update the post if someone reaches out. Thank you again.

New to AA

Hi all! After more than a decade of alcoholism, I recently got sober around 80 days ago. When I first got sober I tried going to a secular type group. Unfortunately, the meetings weren’t super structured and I didn’t feel like I was taking anything away from them- it left me feeling a little frustrated I guess. So after a handful of those meetings I stopped going. I figured I’d just go the journey alone. I’m not one who is overly expressive when it comes to my feelings or emotions (probably part of the reason I’m here 🤣). Long story short, I had a bit of an internal meltdown in the grocery store when I found out that Dijon Mustard had white wine in it (sounds dramatic, long st...

Some honest advice if you’re stuck job hunting

3h ago

First and foremost, a lot of you guys might already recognise me. I post quite a lot in these subs and give genuine advice. Before I start, there are some things I would like to get off my chest. Before I proceed, if you don’t want to read a bit of small talk, you can scroll to the part of me giving the advice. So the first thing I want to say is I really appreciate all the love I get from this account the nice DMs and the nice comments. I am genuinely happy I can help you guys. The last post went more viral than I expected, and I was really grateful for all the love and DMs I have ever received. Secondly, it has come to my attention that someone is copy and pasting my posts on Reddit an...

Hi everyone! My girlfriend and I did some more Max & Chloe cosplay stuff! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ We did a super impromptu photoshoot with my photographer friend! It was the first time in over a year that we did a Pricefield photoshoot together! I actually took a photo in the fifth photo, and it's the sixth photo! I thought it would be really cool to actually see the result, and take a real photo, instead of just posing and pretending to take one :P Max: [polaroid.punk](https://instagram.com/polaroid.punk) / [anxiousfawncos](https://instagram.com/anxiousfawncos) (me) Chloe: [arcadia.punk](https://instagram.com/arcadia.punk) (We also have a join [Tumblr](https://piratesof...

Indiana Landlord Banning all Basement Storage

3h ago

Location: Indiana Hi r/legaladvice, posting about a landlord–tenant question. My partner and I are current tenants (lived here for 2 years) and are currently renewing our lease for next year. The house has a mostly finished basement with the washer/dryer. Right now, we use the basement for normal storage (boxes, shelves, etc.) and have had no issues. The new lease we’ve been sent includes a clause (paraphrased) that was not previously in the lease that says: "X (landlord) can partially or fully restrict access to the basement and is not required to allow tenant access. If tenants are allowed access (e.g., to use the washer/dryer), they are prohibited from storing anything in the ...

AITAH for asking my friend to come take her cat back?

3h ago

Let me clarify I have known this girl since high school she was a grade under me. About 4 years now. Now from the beginning….She kept posting on her SC story to see if someone could watch her cat. I slid up and responded that I would talk to by boyfriend about it see what we could do to help. Once we talked about it he said it was fine but at most two months. We had just brought in two cats. So I told her what he said. She said that it would work and thanking me. I picked her up on August 28th… About 2 weeks in her cat starting showing signs of ringworms… My boyfriend sister (a vet) came over and confirmed. At first, we set her up in the guest bathroom away from the other animals so i...

My uncle was a Vietnam veteran. For as long as I can remember, he was always around. He was on disability as the result of a motorcycle accident while in Vietnam. He was our babysitter so mom could work. He always took us to get a pickle and soda from the convenience store. You know, the ones in the big jar by the register. As we got older, he was the one we could call and ask him to take us to the nearest lake or spring to swim. He would even pay for the tube rental. At age 15, he would come to the house and was the one who taught me to drive. I can’t remember a time growing up that he wasn’t available. Man, I miss that guy.

Which Lagniappe did you get from Poesie?

3h ago

Now that most folks have probably received their November orders from Poesie, which Lagniappe(s) did you get? Impressions?! I received **Lagniappe XII** and **XVIII**. **XII** reminds me a bit of **Haus of Gloi's Autumn Bouquet** but with a lot of brightness. (Autumn Bouquet notes: *Sunflowers, chrysanthemums and the warm butterscotch aroma of hypericum berries gathered together with musk, vanilla and sandalwood*) **XVIII** tragically is, to me, a dead ringer for whatever cleaning product convenience stores often use... I wanna say Fabuloso? Fascinating Post em here, tell us all about em!

I tried the 14 Day Clean Eating Meal Plan: Reset, Nourish, and Simplify — here’s how it actually fit into real life

3h ago

I didn’t start a clean eating plan because I wanted to be “perfect.” I started because my meals had become chaotic. Skipped breakfasts, random snacks, heavy dinners, and that constant feeling of *I should eat better… but where do I even start?* That’s what pushed me toward the **14 Day Clean Eating Meal Plan: Reset, Nourish, and Simplify**. What appealed to me right away was the word *simplify*. I wasn’t looking for a strict diet or rules I’d quit after three days. I wanted fewer decisions and meals that felt normal. I approached the **14 Day Clean Eating Meal Plan: Reset, Nourish, and Simplify** as a framework, not a challenge. I prepped a bit on weekends, cooked simple meal...

I caught my boyfriend being unfaithful.. again.

3h ago

I (23F) have been with my boyfriend (29M) for 2 years now. We live in an apartment together and both work full time jobs, no kids or pets. He’s an apprentice electrician currently in school to get his journeyman license and I work a government job. We fell in love like a fairytale. We shared the same morals and beliefs and very similar boundaries. Since day one I’ve expressed to him my dislikes from a man in a relationship and deal-breakers. And like I said, he felt the exact same. It felt like I had met the love of my life. Everything was wonderful. Until a couple of months into us moving in, money became really tight and we became turbulent. He changed. Went from being a happy, kind,...

A reminder to give back this holiday season — especially to those who need it most

3h ago

The holiday season often highlights joy, gatherings, and celebration — but it’s also a time when many people feel isolated, overwhelmed, or forgotten. Giving back isn’t just about tradition; it’s a tangible way to reflect compassion and care for the hurting in a season that can be especially heavy. This season is an opportunity to look beyond personal celebrations and reach out to: • Those who are grieving — holidays can reopen wounds and deepen loss. A message, meal, or moment of presence can matter more than words. • The sick and hospitalized — time with loved ones, thoughtful gifts, or simply letting someone know they’re remembered can bring unexpected hope. • Th...

Reporting loan sharks activity?

3h ago

Hi all, I have this situation where an employee in my company got involved with loan sharks and they have started to harass us by sending cod food deliveries to flush him out. We have made a police report and provided the phone numbers of the loan sharks just in case they try to do something worse like vandalism, harassment of our employees or even trespass into our company and cause damages. (Unlikely, but still possible) I am considering to also reach out to food delivery apps to get them to block the mobile numbers and hopefully stop the food delivery nonsense because I think the food delivery persons will also become the victims since they may have to pay for the food costs themselve...

Retire to Cedar Rapids

3h ago

I just turned 62 I live in North Jersey and have to start making some retirement type decisions. I am seriously thinking about the Cedar Rapids area. The reasons for my move out of NJ would be the cost of living, traffic and population congestion, the unfriendly hostile people, crime, and it's fast pace. Just wondering if anyone else has moved to the Cedar Rapids area and how they feel about the move. I have been watching Youtube videos and reading and it seems the biggest downside is the weather (summer and winter). Is the weather that harsh? Is crime a concern I should have? If you did move into the Cedar Rapids area can you tell me where you moved from. Also, regarding the most suit...
