FROM DYING TO THRIVING, 2ND BIBLE STUDY

1h ago

Here is the 2nd bible study based on Psalm 20:2, relevant from 0:53 to 3:0 of the YouTube video (click the link to play). After displaying this verse, the video continues by showing Gourd undergoing emergency treatment for his eyes, followed by having all his fur shaved off because it was too dirty to clean. This verse reminds us that to get help from God, we only have to first call out to Him. Also notice that Gourd simply accepted the continual nourishment of physical food throughout the relevant clip, eating it in his weak and prone position. This is such a powerful symbol of his response that God has heard his call for help, in "AND YOU HEARD ME", the last 4 words of the verse...

26 [M4A] (Non Binary) #Vancouver #Burnaby #GVRD - Spring Cleaning Stress? Let Me Be Your Task Goblin While You Rest!

1h ago

Greetings!! With spring moving in, I know that many of you are probably feeling the itch to get into the "spring cleaning" tradition. Or perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed by university exams, or other stressors. I understand that whatever you are up to, this time is a very busy time for many! With that being said, I'm interested in a dynamic where I could do tasks for you, and serve you in whatever way would help ease the pressure of the spring chaos! But what's the catch? Honestly, basically nothing! In all honesty, I don't even want to be allowed to get anything in return, ever! Aside from the privilege of serving you as a task goblin who genuinely just loves do...

Are My Parents Narcissists?

1h ago

So, I've been looking for stuff to read about adult children who have separated from their parents for whatever reason, and I'm really unsure about how to define my own parents, or if any specific definition would fit. So, I suppose I'm here to vent for maybe a long while about my life, and to ask for this community's opinion about what sort of people you think my parents are, even if it's only from my POV. Mostly, it's my mom who is the trouble parent. When I was younger, my dad spent most of the day at an office downtown, so I would tend to seek him out as a barrier between me and my mom for a while. But when he retired, some cracks started to show in him ...

Shop Owners want service dog picked up??

1h ago

Hello, I'm a first time assistance dog owner so I'm still getting used to different people's reactions and such. Anyway me and my assistance dog are from the US but I am currently in the UK for university. While in the UK I've had horrible issues with discrimination against him (another story). But I guess what I'm here to ask is why some shop owners tell me I have to pick him up. Like they want me to hold him in my arms (he's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) I've only had this in the UK and some places in Europe. I just don't understand the logic but I get so nervous when in this situation I always freeze up and forget to ask why. He is well trained ...

I'm a uni student and my grocery bill has been killing me lately.

1h ago

Did some research and found that Coles and Woolworths control 65% of the Australian grocery market between them. That duopoly means they can charge whatever they want, knowing most people won't bother checking if it's cheaper somewhere else, because it's too much effort. The ACCC has been investigating them for years. Nothing changes. Prices keep going up. I've been manually comparing my shop across Coles, Woolworths, and Aldi for the past few months and saving around $30 a week just by knowing which store is cheaper for each item. Adds up to about $1,500 a year. Has anyone else been doing this? Would people actually find a tool that does this comparison automat...

How Apple’s strict standards pushed me to build a better $Mil portfolio manager. We just launched!

1h ago

I’ve spent 16 years as a Technical Program Manager, but building Pamkit was the most challenging project of my life. I wanted to build an "External Brain" for my home, my family, and my assets—something that could handle a $Mil portfolio with the same ease as tracking a refrigerator warranty. Why I’m Thanking Apple I’ll be honest: early on, we hit some roadblocks with App Store guidelines, specifically around digital payments and subscriptions. At first, it felt like a hurdle. But looking back, I am so grateful for Apple’s strict standards. By pushing us to implement native StoreKit 2 for subscriptions and Sign in with Apple for privacy, they didn't just give us a ...

Credit Card Authorizations and HIPPA via Square

1h ago

I've been spinning my wheels , and hoping some of you have experience here. I'm looking for a way to get a credit card on file before treatment, not charge them, but just store it...AND also have them fill out their HIPPA in one shot. I found a payment authorization contract in Square that I can send them via email, text, but wondering if I can bundle this with a HIPPA also? Or if any of you have a better idea on how to approach this. As of right now im thinking... 1. Send them Square Link, to give us card authorization. Card is only charged if they dont pay within 30 days 2. Send them a separate link for their Docusign PROBLEM- my issue here, is that we book the client, fl...

To understand human existence,  one must ask the question why. not why are we here. but more or less, what's the meaning behind it. Even knowing the why, does not give you the point of the truth. For the knowing of the truth may comfort you at night,  but the reality of the truth my not comfort you at all.  For even knowing the truth, does not garrenty understanding of the truth. Think back the first moment of your existence on this earth. Lost, curious, and even at times confused. You did not know the language being spoken, nor the control over your body itself. Even if you had a memory of being born and your time before your birth, you were so hyper focused on these things that yo...

My mom was in bed and I was talking with her, then I left happily back to my room with my 2 other Siblings, then suddenly my mom died then my dad brought her out of the house as I thought he'd bring her to the hospital, many hours later he came back with a container full of meat and said we now have enough food and that our mother didn't make it, he went inside and I knew in that moment, he killer her and she's in that container right now, already dead... At that point I lose all reason and tell my siblings as we hit him on the head as he passed out, we then gather together to try and figure out what to do, as suddenly our other father arrives, we inform him of what happened a...

Chemical Storage Resource?

1h ago

Hi all, I'm a lab manager for a biology lab at a US university, and one of my responsibilities is making sure our chemicals are stored and documented correctly. We just got in a few new chemicals come in, and they're very toxic. We have everything stored properly in secondary containers as of now, but I was hoping to find a better way. We've been using plastic beakers as secondary containers for the chemicals that require it, and so far that seems to be working. However, we have very limited chemical storage space, and beakers are a really inefficient use of space - both because the base is round and because they flare at the top and take up more room than they should. The pos...

After 7 years of grinding in Delhi gyms, I finally built the fitness app I always wished existed — FitTrack Pro

1h ago

Hey r/IndiaFitClub (and anyone who lifts heavy), Seven years ago I was just another unfit guy from Delhi walking into a noisy gym with zero plan. I’ve spent some months chasing PRs on roti-sabzi diets, fighting with generic apps that only understood “chicken ****** + broccoli” while I was actually eating aloo paratha, paneer bhurji, and haldi doodh after workouts. Every single app felt foreign — like it was built for someone else. So I stopped complaining… and built FitTrack Pro instead. This isn’t another bloated tracker with 10,000 generic exercises and a paywall. It’s the app I wish existed when I started — made by a real Indian lifter, for real Indian lifters. What Fi...
