Excuse me if i may sound oblivious. The famous japanese food that most of us foreigners know about seems to be fried, full of rice or noodles which are all calorie dense. Things like karaage, katsu, tonkatsu, noodles, some of the sushis and kewpiee mayo are very high in calories. Not to mention, desserts are sweet as. How does japan have very low obesity rates? What does the typical japanese eat? Are there other japnese foods that are not as famous that are healthier and lower in calories? Thanks in advance
