With the gas prices skyrocketing I’m noticing my mileage on my van is averaging 17 mpg for my city driving. Max speed is maybe 55 mph and low of 25 mph. Stops and idling obviously. Summer heat in Arizona is coming this week and there will be a lot more AC usage! Well, let’s be honest we leave the AC on all year long here. Obviously my van isn’t a hybrid. But I’m curious what other owners of the ‘22 model are getting. Is there some way to boost mileage that I don’t know of or hadn’t considered? There was some maintenance recommended by Kia at our last oil change. For reference we purchased this van used last summer with 30k miles on it.

So I haven’t seen people waiting at the pump and lined up at the pump to get gas since Gulf War. Gas is at 277 a gallon and people were really aggressive getting in line so it’s kind of crazy out there if you find a good price at the pump.

2006 Xtera randomly started having issues starting. Battery is fine, fuel pump i can hear it prime, I go to start her and I have to pump the gas pedal. When started, she doesn't accelerate like it use to. Also when in D with out pressing gas, it will accelerate slightly on its own for a second or two... I dont have a diagnosis machine. I was always in a weird spot using Turbotax. Every year, on top of my W-2 income, I also had self-employment income to report. I never qualified for the “simple filing” that’s advertised as free. Looking to get a stove as a secondary heat source in our house. (Winters are harsh, power goes out). I can’t decide between pellet, natural gas, or wood. My first choice is a natural gas . Cost of unit, venting out, upkeep and install is cheaper than wood stove. My big question is, if I manually light it with power is out, is there a larger unit designed to radiate high heat with out an electric blower running to help keep house warm?
