I’m considering buying a 2024 Mazda 3 GT AWD Turbo Hatchback for my now much longer 3 hour commutes (coming from an older Wrangler which runs me about 24L/100km or 9.8MPG). I really like the Mazda 3 but used prices on the hatchback are significantly higher than the sedan for the exact same trim. Also I’m unsure if the healthy chunk of added hp from the turbo is worth the added cost/fuel consumption for what will be a fun commuter I’ll hit the backroads in sometimes. Or if the regular GT AWD is enough?
