Hello X3 folks. I just left the dealer and will be back tomorrow to finalize things with the finance manager. It’ll be my first BMW and I can afford the maintenance and all that without an issue (🤞) but I typically do want some extra peace of mind, especially since I have seen and heard repairs can be several thousands of dollars if they come up. I asked the finance manager about extended warranty coverage and he showed me a Prime Protect plan (Level 3 for what it’s worth) that is basically CARS Protect Plus. 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis with 193,000 miles. Girlfriend had a flat and went to Firestone and got an alignment and a new \[round thing\]. They said that a right front ball joint was failing and that the car was completely unsafe to drive without this $1700 repair. Apparently Missouri has had a gas tax refund program since 2021 and most people have never heard of it or just never bother because the process is such a pain.
