I have a car saga; it’s been 2 weeks and counting. My question is, given all that’s happened, are the dealership’s recommendations a plausible cure? If not, what else could be wrong and what’s the cheapest way to get the car running again.  I have a Toyota Matrix, 2013. Engine: 1.8L 4Cyl (\[U\] 2ZR-FE) Fuel Injected **Saturday, March 7th** I take my car in to the Jiffy Lube for an oil change. They change the oil and also suggest a few other things, including a 2 part fuel system cleaning, or, as it appears on the receipt: FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER KIT FTPK21. I learned to drive right after the OPEC embargo. In our drivers training and also the one on one training with my parents I was taught to slowly accelerate to save gas in the long run. I bring this up because where I live now, it is a race to get going after the red light turns green. I have been thinking for years, why do I always start slow. I thought maybe I was already driving like 95 year old, but it was never important enough to mull about in my mind. This changed today when I was driving and heard on the news about much higher gas prices and then thought- “this is how I was taught to drive because of the first oil embargo”. Anyone else?

Instead of waiting till we start running out of fuel, how about sending a message to the public that "while at this stage we don't anticipate a problem, let's be on the safe side and everybody goes a little lighter on the pedal, drives a little less, and let's make out current stocks last longer". Always a great day to take Metro and get to where you’re going without sweating over gas prices. Paying $1.75 a ride, $5 a day, and $18 a week for the foreseeable future, absolutely can’t beat that deal in LA. Definitely living a cheat code.

If gas prices do go over the ten dollar mark, what will gas stations do to show that price? This applies to the big neon lights that you can see a hundred feet away, and each individual gas refueling station.

Hi! I am taking a Greyhound across the country as a teenage girl (24+ hour trip) home from college (USA). What are some safety tips for a young woman on the bus / in the bus station ?? 😭 I have heard all of the horror stories and so that’s really why I’m writing this, I’m pretty anxious.
