I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about new vehicles or a Vehicle upgrade system? For the Vehicles the 3 I was wondering about that kinda make sense is 1. The School Bus: Long with lots of seats that you can store stuff in. 2. The Flatbed Truck: Basic Car Hauler able to get vehicles that might be broken down or damaged and move them around. you find that big van or ambulance but its trashed just carry it to base. 3. The Semi Truck: Kind of modular but its basically just a short nose Semi Truck that has very little storage itself. Looking at the fuel prices since Trump's Iran war, it is clear we have been far too slow and inconsistent with the energy transition. If the government had been stricter four or five years ago (making EVs accessible to everyone, not just the corporate fleet) the city would be in a much stronger and cleaner air position right now. ​Instead, we have a "perfect storm" where those on the lowest incomes are suffering the most. So Tales From the Gas Station and John Dies at the End are my two favourite series in this genre. They are brilliant. I also like to imagine they are set in the same universe. They could easily exist in the same world. A Lonely Broadcast is another great one. I’d also suggest Sam Rebelein’s Renfield County series (Edenville, Galloway’s Gospel and Poorly Made Things). I also enjoyed Welcome to Nightvale. Am I missing any other great books that have the feeling Tales and John Dies. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I've been looking at the data available from the UK Government's Fuel Finder API - it was a very timely and well executed initiative, with legal enforcement to ensure motor fuel retailers keep their prices easily accessible for comparison sites etc. However, they didn't add an option/opportunity for additional information like "station out of petrol" (or any of the fuels) to be part of the requirement and data provision. Recently joined the EV gang with a 2022 Kona 64kwh and having charger installed in a week. On an Octopus Fixed until Aug at 22.17p/kWh and 41.35p a day. So, even with a granny charger currently is not too bad (but not great I know). Looking at EV tariffs and the Octopus Go doesn't look as good at the moment compared to others. Octopus are a 8p kWh night and 33.72p day with 47.71p standing charge. Others in my mind are looking better... Scottish Power for example are doing a 1 year fixed at 26.314p per kWh day, 49.71p standing charge with the EV add on at 8p kWh with regular half price periods. but with £50 exit fees for each fuel.
