I'm heading to Tokyo end of Dec and thought about staying either in Asakusa or Shinjuku and both of these hotels are decently priced (about $100 difference). Richmond Hotel Asakusa looks recently renovated and is located near Sensoji while Nishitetsu Inn is near Shinjuku station.
