Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Gas Station Latest Community Discussions About Gas Stations in US£2300 backdated gas bill in 3-bed end terrace – is £320/month for gas normal? How do we get this down?1h agoHi all, Looking for some advice because I’m slightly in shock. We’ve just been sent a £2300 backdated bill from Octopus. Apparently our smart meter didn’t connect properly when we moved in (14 April last year), so they were estimating. Obviously should have picked that up on the bill but didn’t. We’ve now submitted an actual reading and the balance is apparently correct based on usage. It works out at roughly £288 per month combined on gas alone over those 8 months, although it would’ve been lower over the summer. That means that some of the winter months we must have been paying an astronomical amount. The house: • 3-bed end terrace (not especially big) • Victorian... We’ve all tried those $5/month IPTV services from eBay or Alibaba. And we all know the story: They work great for a week, then the buffering starts, the EPG disappears, and the support ghost you. 👻 I decided to stop gambling with my TV setup. I wanted a **Premium** provider that acts like a real cable company. After testing the top-rated services on Reddit and Tech Forums this month, **IPTVGREAT** emerged as the [**Best IPTV 2026**](https://iptvgreat.vip/) winner. Here is why this service is different: **1️⃣ Infrastructure: Anti-Freeze Technology** This isn't a buzzword. * **The Tech:** They use a decentralized server network (Load Balancing). * ... $MYNZ, a biotech company moving into the pancreatic cancer space1h agoMainz Biomed ($MYNZ) is a legit molecular diagnostics biotech not a shell, not a crypto pivot, not a “we cure everything” penny stock. They already built a Cologuard-style colorectal cancer screening test for the European market, and now they’re selling that asset to go all-in on early pancreatic cancer detection. ➡️ They are divesting a commercial asset ➡️ To focus on a single high-value pipeline product That’s not the move of a dying company that’s a capital reallocation toward a higher-multiple opportunity. \# Why Pancreatic Cancer = Massive TAM \* 5-year survival rate is \\\~13% \* Usually detected too late for treatment \* No widely adopted early screening tes... Moving to language school in Japan soon but worried if the current situation in Iran will affect anything. Anyone else i...1h agoLet's say I have been planning for over a year to move to Japan to attend language school. My work doesn't allow WFH, so I had to quit with 3 months notice (that's normal in my country). Yes, I know, it's irresponsible. Yes, I know, Japan won't fix my problems, I don't expect it to. Yes, I know, I might not be able to find a good job like that ever again (I make a whopping 1300 euro net monthly with a BSc degree) but I was tired of waiting, tired of postponing my plans, and I said screw it, gave my notice, got accepted to language school, and I bought my plane ticket. But right after I gave my notice, the situation in Iran escalated, gas prices are surging thro... Markets Are Pricing Disruption. Is NXXT Positioned for It?1h agoOperation Epic Fury is active. CENTCOM confirmed strikes on IRGC command centers, missile sites, air defenses, and military airfields. Now look at the oil market reaction. Brent jumped above $82. WTI moved over $72. Around 15 million barrels per day pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Pipeline reroutes may handle 5 to 7 million bpd. That still leaves roughly 8 million bpd exposed if transit stays restricted. Wood Mackenzie has already said prices could move toward $100 if tanker flows are not restored quickly. Markets are no longer pricing spare capacity. They are pricing transport risk. MemoryFuel Review: I Used It for 21 Days (My Results)1h agoYou know that moment when your brain pauses for no good reason? You’re mid-sentence and the word you’ve used a thousand times suddenly disappears. You open a tab to do something important, then stare at the screen trying to remember why you opened it. You walk into a room and forget what you came for. You reread the same paragraph twice because your mind keeps sliding off the meaning. And by mid-afternoon, it feels like your mental battery has quietly dropped to 12 percent. It’s not dramatic enough to call a crisis, but it’s constant enough to ruin your day. The worst part is how it messes with your confidence. You start wondering if you’re “slipping.” You try to push harder... Michelin Defender 2 vs CrossClimate1h agoMy 2024 XLE FWD Gas model had a bad encounter with large screws in the road - no road hazard warranty with the factory tires so I have to get new tires. I am down to Michelin Defeder 2 and the new Michelin Cross Climate - I prioritize smooth ride, relatviely quiet (the RAV4 will never be really quiet however), good handling and wet traction since I live in Florida and rain is an issue a lot but not snow. I looked at some Continental which I have had before but the price is similar with less tread life and I have not had good luck with Goodyears in the past - hard to get balances correctly. Suggestions? Oil and gas prices jump as conflict escalates1h agohttps://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c75evve6l63o?at_medium=RSS&at_campaign=rss > Experts have warned that a prolonged conflict could push global energy prices even higher. Source: bbc When Power Bills Go Up, the Culture War Goes Quiet1h agoWhat really stood out to me this week is how the tone around solar has shifted. It’s not framed as some ideological tug-of-war nearly as much as it’s being discussed as a practical tool to deal with rising power costs and reliability headaches. Two recent pieces basically came at this from different angles but landed in the same place. One focused on the economics. The U.S. still relies heavily on natural gas for power generation. The problem is, once a grid leans hard into gas, it becomes extremely sensitive to price swings. If gas spikes, customers feel it. And forecasts aren’t exactly pointing to cheap, stable gas ahead. LNG exports are pulling supply into global markets, and dema... From Fuel Delivery to Defense Infrastructure - Now Under Operation Epic Fury1h agoFeb. 28, 2026. U.S. Central Command officially launched Operation Epic Fury. Strikes began at 1:15 am ET targeting IRGC command centers, air defenses, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields. This is not a minor flare up. This is formal military escalation under CENTCOM. Now layer that over energy markets. Brent moved above $82. WTI pushed past $72. Around 15 million barrels per day transit the Strait of Hormuz. Analysts estimate up to 8 million bpd could be effectively stranded if disruptions persist. When physical energy routes are threatened, energy resilience becomes a military priority. That’s where NXXT’s recent pivot matters. NextNRG partnered with NeutronX t... NextNRG (NXXT) is down about 79% from its highs and trading close to what you could argue is near cash value. The chart? Brutal. Three straight months living in the red zone. Heavy selling. No momentum. The kind of setup that usually screams “avoid.” But then I looked at the revenue. Their mobile fueling segment did $22.9M in Q3 alone. For perspective, they did $27.8M for all of 2024. That’s not incremental growth - that’s step-change growth. December preliminary numbers came in around $8M, which was up 253% year o... [Arts] - From bustling Venice Beach to gas station shrines: Alex Frayne’s photographic exploration of America1h agoSolar stopped being a culture war and started being a bill-reduction tool1h agohttps://preview.redd.it/0yq4n1qh5nmg1.png?width=1199&format=png&auto=webp&s=e985aee3e266c1cdc4115ece40f437e945d383ec March 2 coverage is basically saying the same thing from two angles: electricity is getting harder to keep cheap and reliable, and the U.S. is running out of easy options. Inside Climate News lays out the bill side of it. Natural gas still did a huge share of U.S. generation in 2025 and once a state leans heavily on gas it becomes extremely sensitive to fuel price swings. Forecasts cited there point to gas prices staying elevated, with LNG exports and rising demand from gas plants serving data centers listed as part of the pressure. The Washington Po... 2026's conflicts are about to make the case for renewables and electric vehicles even more attractive.1h agoThe Straits of Hormuz, through which 20% of global fossil fuels supply needs to flow, are closed; perhaps for months. It's not just gasoline prices that are about to sharply rise. LNG supplies are just as affected. In many places, notably Europe, this will sharply increase electricity prices. Renewables and EVs were booming before; now they'll have even more advantages. It's not just that they'll be cheaper; they'll also come to be seen as a hedge against global instability and conflict. China, the major global producer of solar/batteries/EVs, will have even more incentive to abandon fossil fuels. The rest of the world will have even more incentive to buy from them.... Gas in a High-Performance Home – Zone 5A?1h agoI’m building a Pretty Good House–style home in Climate Zone 5A (2400sq ft) and trying to sanity-check HVAC direction. Envelope specs: • ≤2.0 ACH50 target • R-30 to R-35 effective walls • R-60+ attic • R-10 under slab + insulated edge • Insulated basement walls • Triple-pane windows (U ≈ 0.15) • Balanced ERV Because of budget, builder familiarity, and existing gas availability, I’m considering: • Natural gas furnace • Gas tankless water heater My concern: in a low-load house like this, will a gas furnace short-cycle? It seems most similar builds go all-electric with cold-climate heat pumps. Questions: 1. Are people in cold climates running gas furnac... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
