Hi I got a 1985 safari I’ve been fixing up. I’ve been trying to figure out what’s causing it to diesel. Normally I wait for a few seconds while in reverse then turn it off. That seems to help. I forgot to do that ritual when stopping for gas and it started dieseling or running off again after I turned it off. It went if for maybe 10 seconds then I heard a loud pop that spooked ppl next to me at the gas station. I drove it home just fine. Maybe it sounded a bit louder than usual but I could be wrong. Would dieseling cause something to break? After the pop it stopped dieseling and I was able to refill the gas and drive home. It was a metallic pop.

2025 Touring. Ran pretty low on gas today (no cells lit on fuel gauge, 0 miles range about 3 miles out from the gas station) but made it to the pump. Filled it with 16.7 gallons. Specs say it’s a 19.5 gallon tank. Did the pump shut off early, or does Honda have an extra 3 gallons left when they say empty?
