Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Dollar Tree Latest Community Discussions About Dollar TreeAllbirds: The Weirdest Comeback Story of 20261h agoOn November 3, 2021, Allbirds went public on NASDAQ. What started as a simple idea comfortable, eco-friendly wool shoes quickly turned into a billion-dollar story. At its peak, the company was valued at over $4 billion. It wasn’t just selling shoes, it was selling a “sustainable lifestyle.” Then things started slipping. From early 2022, cracks began to show. Products didn’t evolve much, prices felt high, and competition got stronger. Expansion into clothing didn’t really work either. By 2023–2025, the hype was gone sales slowed, stores struggled, and the stock kept falling. At one point, it was down almost 99% from its peak. In 2024, Joe Vernachio took over as CEO to fix things,... THE CATALOG - Entry 11h agoMy first day at Meridian was the day I stepped through the first stable aperture in human history, and by the time I walked back through the same aperture four hours later I had changed my mind about almost everything I believed about the world, and I still had to sign a dozen forms before I could go home. The forms were the part nobody warned you about. My name is Alexander Voss. I am thirty-four years old. I was, until three weeks before the morning I am writing about, an out-of-work recovery tech for a defunct Bay Area insurance firm that had specialized in retrieving corporate assets from natural-disaster zones — flooded data centers, wind-damaged warehouses, that kind of thing ... [SF] Bad Banana1h ago# Chapter 1 Right there, yep, it's perfect! After all, I've hung about 300 different pictures in this place. Why wouldn't it be perfect? I don't care what the boss would think but I myself will have to walk past this picture at least 20 times in the next week. If it's off by 0.5 of a degree, I'd notice and I'd inevitably have to fix it. And as my grandpa used to say, “A job done twice is a job failed once.” I made my way back to the boss. “What's next?” “Well, there's a few rugs that need hanging.” “A few rugs? Sounds good.” The thought of a prickly dusty rug sliding along my sweaty forearm doesn't exactly get me excited. ... Painted Tree closes all stores, including 6 in Houston1h agoDoes anyone have experience buying the boba bear posters from Bearologyusa?1h agoIf you go to their instagram they have a link tree to their store, but they don’t sell their posters there. You have to message the account on instagram and tell them what you want and your info and then you have to venmo them the money for very expensive $50 posters. Is this suspicious or am I just looking way too deep into it since their a decently sized brand. The Predictive Sentinel1h ago# The Evolutionary Inevitability of Learning and the Scientific Engine In the quiet, microscopic theater of the Precambrian seas, a revolution occurred that would eventually pave the way for quantum mechanics and the Hubble Space Telescope. It wasn't the invention of the eye or the claw, but the birth of the **"Prediction Machine."** To survive is to navigate an uncertain future. For any biological entity, the environment is a chaotic stream of sensory data. Survival requires more than just reaction; it requires the ability to anticipate. As we look across the vast expanse of biological history, a singular logic emerges: learning—defined as the iterative cycle of predictio... Debt Post redux | you can (not) pay your debts | wasteland economics 1011h agoA few months ago I made a post about settling a bunch of old debt for essentially pennies on the dollar. It was a fantastic thread with a lot of wisdom and insights but I deleted it because I became increasingly concerned I had publicly admitted to some sort of financial crime. In brief; 30 now. Filed chapter 7 bankruptcy when I was 22, kept my car I was still paying on, and had about $50,000 in credit cards and loans completely absolved. Within about 3 years of the bankruptcy, my credit had bounced back sufficiently that I was able to start taking out loans and utilizing credit again. Even got a 2022 outback (since repossessed, but I paid on it for like 3 years). Fast forward to 2023/2024... We should seriously start making noise...1h ago Does anyone else feel like UoA does everything in its power to make life difficult for students and staff? I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to introduce this ban during a fuel crisis. Scooters cost a fraction of a dollar to charge, and even if they aren’t being charged, not being allowed to bring them inside—into a personal office, for example—is just a joke. But honestly, it’s not just this. After attending several universities for different degrees (and while I’m glad to be here), it’s clear that life at UoA is much more difficult than at any other university I’ve been to. The administration is an unacceptable nightmare, and the student cultur... Star Basket2h agoI am genuinely so obsessed with this little basket. It's the perfect size to store some stars in. Placing them neatly in the basket is so satisfying to me. I got it at the dollar tree in a two pack. It's just under 5 inches wide, just under 6 inches long. It can fit 32 stars. Technically it could hold 48 if you make a third row on top down the middle. 😄🌟 RouteDex: route-by-route encounter tracker for every mainline game2h agoWhen FireRed and LeafGreen dropped on Switch this year I jumped back in immediately. I wanted to do a full Pokédex completion, the first time I'd seriously attempted it since I was a kid with the physical guidebook in my hand. The problem was the guidebook is long gone and I found myself constantly jumping between different sites to get the information I need. So I did what any developer would do (but probably shouldn't do when they want to actually fully complete a game): I built an app for this as soon as I was done with the pokemon league. The app is called RouteDex. It's free, on both the apple and google app stores. The core idea is you pick a game and you get a... You will never forget to track Expenses ever again.2h agoMost expense tracking apps give you two options: let the app track everything automatically, or sit down and enter every purchase manually. And honestly? Neither of those really works. Automatic tracking feels like being watched. You spend, the app logs it, and **you never really** ***think*** **about it**. There's no **moment of reflection. No pause.** And without that pause, it's really hard to build any kind of awareness around your money. Manual entry, on the other hand, is just tedious. Nobody wants to open a spreadsheet after buying a coffee. **So you tell yourself you'll do it later and later never comes.** The thing about managing your expenses is that it's ... It seemed like a bargain seeing as it retails for $3900 Aussie at the LV store currently, so I did a quick deep dive into reviews. I noticed people mentioned glazing issues but overall reviews were pretty positive. However almost every video I watched was from 5-7 years ago which seems to be when it was super popular. So… those of you that have it, how has it held up? Do you still love it? Those of you who have seen it in the wild, is it as nice in person? I have already snapped it up, as I’m confident I can re... Petit Theft2h agoLocation: Orange County, CA I was recently caught going out of a store with a 70 dollar item, I was taken to the loss prevention office and talked to police officers who were called into the room I was in. I believe I was on camera and body cam and signed trespass forms for the establishment and charged with petit theft misdemeanor, and I was let go. My court date is in a couple months. With a clean record and first offense, I’m wondering if there is any pretrial diversion programs in my county and if I should contact the public defender’s office? Was it bad to admit fault and sign the forms? Any advice is welcome, it’s a first time for me and I’m sort of freaking out right now. I w... Holographic chocolate bars cost $3 to make and sell for $202h agohttps://reddit.com/link/1smtsur/video/6fmm3bpehhvg1/player You could be early to a trend that's about to explode right here. What if you could hop on the Dubai chocolate trend before Dubai chocolate became a billion dollar industry? Here's exactly how. Holographic dark chocolate. Give me one good reason why you're not making this and selling it at your local farmer's market right now. And I'm not gonna accept pride or ego as an answer. Right now is perfect timing because Dubai chocolate was the thing a year ago. Everyone was making it, posting it, buying it. And now it's still a thing, but it's peaked. But holographic ch... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
