I left there last year after being with the company five years and have been at Dollar Tree ever since. I just found out an hour ago that the District Manager that is primarily the reason I left and who was there for 16 years just quit two weeks ago. I’m not going to say I love Dollar General, but I do really love the store, and it actually genuinely hurt hurts seeing it decay. They have already shut down three stores since I’ve been gone, and I can feel this one being next. My main concern is since the District Manager was a woman and she did like to gossip, I’m not sure if she trash talked me to the two training store managers that I do still believe are there. Its saying that I owe 33.72 when all of that money spent was from my checking not credit, i never put money onto their credit card thing, im not exactly sure what ive done wrong or what to do. I only got chime for the direct deposit bonus. I dont have the credit building on because i wasnt sure what it was and i just wanted to spend some of my paycheck that was in my checking account (reposted because i left some of the account numbers in on accident) im mainly looking on feedback about if im just understanding it wrong or if ive messed up somehow

I went last night and I noticed they moved everything which is find but then i go into the beauty section and they had almost nothing interesting. Sure they had the basics like shampoo and condition and body wash but they had almost no cool things. And the rest of the store was well stocked but they are clearly focusing on everyday functional items instead of cool nicknacks. I genuinely didn’t enjoy shopping and I’m unsure if I’ll go back. I’m devastated! This has been so good for my mental and physical health and now it’s gone. Everything I liked about the dollar tree is gone. This rant might not be allowed in the subreddit but I think it still applies.

I say all dollar tree employees just go on strike until they treat us better and give store more hours allowing us to work freight and to treat us equally which they do not.

I don't often buy large amounts of things at Dollar Tree for myself, as my biggest orders usually are "just because" gifts or supplies for something separate from my leisurely life. My income just changed and I'm now tasked with feeding 3 adults with dietary restrictions (including myself) on around $250. I already have a couple of staples like rice and beans, I use every grocery store app, buy things like eggs in bulk, and compare pricing for certain items using each store's website. Our company sells general merchandise, similar to say a combination of harbor freight, dollar tree, general stores, etc. I am looking at updating our current product catalog and I know I over complicating this by thinking too much into it. However, I'd like to hear the thoughts of those who may have some thoughts/input on how you decide how many items you put on a page, in a column, in a row, etc. I was thinking of doing something similar to what harbor freight does for their fliers, which ranges between 2 / 4 / 5 / 6 items per row with maybe 30 items per page? At first it wasn't so bad shopping at Dollar Stores, but perhaps I just got lucky. My first bad experience was an order paying 8 dollars for 26 items. Now 26 items isn't huge in the grand scheme, but Dollar Stores in particular seem to be really bad. 1. Cramped (especially when there are a lot of people). 2. Disorganized with merchandise scattered everywhere. 3. App does not say what aisles things are in. 4. Always out of things, or the item they have does not match up to what's in Doordash's database. Is there anyone who has worked at both Aldi and Dollar Tree(with a decent manager) that could give their opinions/experience on which one is generally better to work at? Specifically assistant manager but also cashier/stockers. I've been a manager at DT for 7 years and since I moved to a store with a store manager who rarely does freight and barely handles the people issues, I'm really getting tired of this. Aldi pays way better than DT.
