Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Dollar Tree Latest Community Discussions About Dollar TreeMy first mounted orchid - haraella retrocalla. Tips appreciated!2h agoThis little guy was had for a pittance, and I figured why not? I am not a huge fan of the mount and am considering moving it to either cork, or a block of tree fern fiber. Will the cork or fiber blocks sold at pet stores work ok? The instructions say to only water with distilled or RO water, and to feed weakly weekly. I plan to just use our tap (we have very low TDS) and MSU fertilizer. Is that ok, or does it really NEED distilled/RO water? I've seen people suggest dunking them but I'm so used to water killing phals with crown rot that that advice seems spooky to me. Right now I have it sitting off to the corner of a southwestern facing window that gets full afternoon ... The very recent warehouse fire in ontario stored a lot of paper goods, including toilet paper. How many rolls of toilet ...2h agoIt has gotten me curious! Who here is super creative (I mean most of us honestly lol)2h agoHello and good morning to my super talented friends! I’ve been an artist for a while now (self taught realism ‘graphite and colored pencils’ and tattoo designs (gel pens and/or colored pencils). However, I have upgraded to a new expensive but worth it medium and need some help coming up with a “thinking outside the box” idea to store my tons of drawing supplies where I can make my own. I really like the fancy bamboo ones but I just cannot afford that. My first set of 48 markers came this last Christmas and I have already bought two new sets for a total of 208 alcohol markers and counting lol. I know they are supposed to be stored horizontally and that is fine if I keep them in th... Texture/ Lighting Issue in FNV2h agoI've recently gotten back into New Vegas and have just continued using my old modlist. Everything worked fine until I got to Prim where some textures appear to be missing and sometimes flash to other textures in the game (Usually when a light affects them). I've tried removing all of my texture/ lighting mods and nothing has worked, I've tried verifying the game files and even reinstalling the game, but that also hasn't worked. What should I do? The CSV: \#Mod\_Priority,#Mod\_Status,#Mod\_Name "0000","+","DLC: TribalPack" "0001","+","DLC: OldWorldBlues" "0002","+","DLC: MercenaryPa... The Options Wheel Nassim Taleb style2h agoI’ve been experimenting with a small account (\~$1,000) using the options wheel, but with a risk framework inspired loosely by Taleb-style thinking around contained downside and optionality. The key constraint is simple: this only makes sense with cheap, volatile stocks, and with money I can afford to lose. It is not rent money or essential savings. The total investment is just a small fraction of my overall savings (a “play allocation”). If it goes to zero, it does not affect my life or financial stability. Position size stays small enough that assignment is never stressful. Because of that, I avoid expensive, “safer” stocks like Tesla or Apple. Not because they’re bad, but ... Meet my plushies day 1: Pixie the mini teddy bear! (Storytime included)2h agoA Hiii everyone! This is Pixie, one of my most underrated and overlooked plushies. Particularly in my light purple plushie collection. Sometimes when I’m at the dollar store, I love to check out the plushies, sometimes I buy them, sometimes I don’t. I was with my aunt and my little cousin at their local dollar store when I found Pixie in the toy section. I instantly fell in love with her endearingly tiny size and her gorgeous colours! So I took her home :) now she she sits proudly with my other purple plushies in the cart as shown in the last pic. She may be the least popular in my purple collection and isn’t noticed immediately as the others, but I love her and she’s perfect for a ... My Very First Criterion2h agoFound at a Book Store (a different one from my last post), it's not that known, as The Wages of Fear (which still on sale at 10 dollars, which is too much for me on a dvd). Bernardo Bertolucci is one of the directors that catch my attention when I started to get interested in film. This and The Last Emperor are the only releases from Criterion. P.S. It cost me actually R$15,00 Reais (BR), (its says 30 on the cover, but in cash there was a 50% discount), which is like 3 dollars! The 20th anniversary of Criterion Collection, so cool that now I can check all the 262 first releases on this list (which the cost from 22 years ago). So, what do you think? A Criterion DVD, in the wild, for 3... Can I use a plastic container for sourdough?2h agoI got a glass jar and a plastic food container from dollar tree today. I was planning to use the glass jar to store my starter, but I noticed a very chip inside of it. it's only like 0.5 mm, but I'm guessing I shouldn't use that. I'm planning to just use the plastic one to store it in, but do I have to worry about it leaching micro plastics or something since it's acidic? I use plastic containers to let my doughs rise, but I guess I'm concerned about long term storage in plastic. Need advice on how to make money.2h agoI'm 16 I have no car because we're poor. my road isn't even safe to drive on and the nearest store is a 10 minute DRIVE so I can't bike or walk but I want to start saving for a car because when I eventually turn 18 I'm gonna have about as many options as I do now. I need ways to make money even if its like 10 dollars a week anything helps. A Yelp Review I Wrote 12 Years Ago2h agoQuestion about tips?2h agoHypothetical situation because I think it'd be easier to explain like this: Say I have $300 in tips, and 450 total hours. The tip rate is 0.66, and I round everyone's hours to the nearest whole number, and then multiply it to get something like $20 if someone worked 30 hours that week. I add up the tips each partner gets to check my math, but the total tip distribution amount ends up being something like $303, does anyone know what I'm supposed to do? Usually I just take an extra dollar or two from the tip jar that day, but it still feels weird. No one else at my store knows how to do tips (everyone else who knew how quit) and our store resources hasn't been up/working ... SkillTree Architect - Unity3D / Unity2D2h agoHello everyone, We've developed a user-friendly, simple interface for Unity Editor Tools that allows you to quickly create skill trees. You can check out the project details in the YouTube trailer. It will be released on the Unity Asset Store soon. You can join our Discord channel to follow developments. Thank you. $1.25: Maybe the best deal I've seen in a long time2h agoGot these at the dollar tree. I'm not a pen snob, and I love Bic. I use all pens cheap and expensive. Papermate's equivalent isn't anywhere close. For basically 10 cents a pen or 11 if you count tax, these always write. You might need to scribble to get it going but they're fantastic for the price. And I love colors! Skill Tree Architect for Unity Editor2h agoHello friends, Skill Tree Architect is a modular skill tree creation system that we've been working on for a while now. We've developed a user-centric, modular skill tree system, both for use in our RPG game and for publication on the Unity Asset Store. You can join our Discord channel to stay informed about our project and future projects. Thank you, SilverSet Studios Dear Fudds, I would like to give you a piece of my mind2h agoI want to preface this by saying that I am angry. Not about any specific numbers, mind you. But because of the pattern that has been on display for a long while. This community is passionate as ****, and for good reason. This game is fun and it scratches an itch that nothing else quite manages to do. I love The Tower, and I will keep playing it for now, but I feel strongly that your game design and communication decisions are actively making the game worse. Second preface, Sam is a treasure, and I appreciate them. This is not about them whatsoever. Fudds, you do not appear to be listening to your playerbase at all. We have been telling you for months what the major issues are. I will reca... Amazon LPS vs Target STSS3h agocrazy enough I got an offer from target and Amazon both today. its target warehouse LP not store side. anyone have any recommendations or thoughts. pay is similar within a dollar apart. What biting insect can live in my garden and storeroom?3h agoI bought a beautiful house on the Costa Brava in Spain by the sea and forest. I’ve visited the area many times and no problem. But now living here, I’m getting bitten a lot and it’s ruining things. When I walk down the shadowy garden path to the front door, there are ferns, ficus (rubber tree), ivy, lemon trees, palms, and bougainvillea. If I brush against the plants even fully clothed I get bitten but a delayed bite that shows up hours later. They are bad bites and I see the single puncture of the bite, and I get a red reaction around it too. I would’ve thought they’re just harvest mites or chiggers, as I don’t ever see any tiny moving insects. But when I store things in the nea... A routine for keeping groceries at or under $300/month for 2 people3h agoI saw a post recently on this topic and wanted to compare notes. Cue the rant and incoming wall of text. Prices have gone up dramatically in the USA but it's still not THAT expensive to eat, especially if you shop the sales, stick to staples, and are willing to eat mostly the same things all the time. We don't even eat as cheap as we could because we like mostly 'real food', i.e. ingredients with as few fillers/additives as possible. Desserts/snacks are also not included because it varies and we don't eat them regularly. I just made a 'mud pie' (chocolate cookie crust, campfire peanut butter cup Tillamook, whipped cream, Ghiradelli chocolate sauce, and ...
