Associates who think they are managers

4h ago

There is a certain person at my work who is a cashier yet acts like my boss and falsely accuses me of things. I have been telling my managers and thankfully they understand and are on my side, but she just irritates me. Yesterday was truck, and my other coworker let the driver use the employee bathroom and (we'll call her Jenny) Jenny comes out asking "who's in the bathroom?" I told her it was the driver and she went on this whole rant about how drivers shouldn't be allowed to use the employee bathroom to eventually accusing me of unlocking the door for the driver, even though I was constantly telling her "I have no idea Jenny I understand." I told my f...

What did you do when your domain was already taken?

6h ago

I am at a company that has existed for 20+ years and never had a website or even any online presence other than from resellers who bought/sold our product. I've convinced them to start building an online presence. However, of course, at this point, the domain for our company name has been taken and registered a long time ago to another company. Changing the name of the company isn't an option at this point, so I am curious to see what others on here have done when their domain was taken without resorting to changing their company name. The company sells general merchandise items. Almost like a blend of harbor freight, dollar tree, general stores, etc. I was originally just...

The L*GO Store (Rebrickable MOC-70260). Lepin customers welcomed!

6h ago

**(parts of the post and photos had to be redacted/blurred because of reddit rqmts)** This was a 2 month project. So the challenge of this project was: Can I make this L\*GO store, and have AliExpress pay for most of it? I was sitting on a large amount of AliExpress gems, and the (now obsolete) "Saving Wednesdays/Saving Mondays" program that used to get $5.00-$8.00 in shopping credits. At the time, it was possible to get more shopping credits by cashing in the Ali gems for various $1.00 and $5.00 amounts. The parts were purchased in multiple orders, with packages arriving every week. So in the end, I paid maybe $10 out-of-pocket to buy the instructions from rebrickable, a trip t...

New fabric at Dollar Tree

6h ago

Ever since I saw a post a few months ago that Dollar Tree carries fat quarters in their craft section I’ve been regularly checking the ones in my area. Today I stopped in one on my way home from an errand, and was delighted to discover that they’d apparently gotten in a new shipment. The boxes were full and neatly sorted. All of the solids were in one box and the other was filled with patterns I’ve never seen before. (I managed to show some restraint, and only bought a baker’s dozen.) I wonder if all the stores get the same shipment, or if there might be different different ones elsewhere.

To ensure you are comparing similar bleach products, pay attention to the (sodium hypochlorite) concentrations, disclosu...

Keep bleach % in mind when buying the product. In limited scenarios I use bleach for sanitizing which means there needs to be 5%+ of sodium hypochlorite. Bottles of bleach (sodium hypochlorite) range 1.75% (supposed concentration for dollar tree LA awesome brand) -8.25%, so it really matters which one you buy. I never gave this any thought. I'd just grab the cheapest bleach thinking the difference in price was due to no marketing costs from store/no-name brands. Even contacting the manufacturer and looking up the MDS/SDS didn't give me the information I was looking for; many times it just gave a range of 3-6% sodium hypochlorite which doesn't help if I'm trying to make ...

Surprised by variation in bleach (sodium hypochlorite) concentrations and lack of disclosures (Based in USA)

Keep bleach % in mind when buying the product. The bottles I have are over 2yrs old which led me down a rabbit hole when trying to decide where to buy a new one. In limited scenarios I use bleach for sanitizing which means there needs to be 5%+ of sodium hypochlorite. For most sanitizing I have transitioned to 3% hydrogen peroxide. I figured others might silimarly have never...

Dollar Tree Diamond Paintings

7h ago

Trust me, I was just as surprised as you are reading that title. I wandered into my local Dollar Tree (Sandhills region, NC) today to look for washi tape and any other random craft stuff that may have jumped out at me. What I was not expecting to find, however was actual diamond painting kits. 🤯🤯 They're small, as you would expect for $1.25 and these were the only four designs my store had. I can't say how the quality of any of it is, as I haven't opened them yet. Once I finish my current WIP, I'll give one a shot and update y'all if no one else does first, but had to share here because this one absolutely blew my mind!

================================================================================ GEMMA-9 ================================================================================ What should I tell you, O my son, What, O son of my womb, And what, O son of my vows? Do not give your vigor to women, Nor follow ways that destroy kings. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, It is not for kings to drink wine Nor for rulers to say, "Where is my drink?" So that they do not drink and forget what is decreed And pervert the rights of the lowly ones. Give alcohol to those who are perishing And wine to those in bitter distress. Let them drink and forget their poverty; Let them remembe...

Is there a time frame / statute of limitations for wage inquiries?

16h ago

My last day at dollar tree was May 31st 2025 after working there for just over 5 years starting as cashier and working up to store manager. I was SM for 6 months, huge mistake, and I had to put in my 2 week notice due to physical health issues rapidly getting worse from the increased work demands. (In 2023, had hip surgery, didn't heal correctly due to physical therapy and work activities) being merch manager, I was able to handle the work load because of I hit 40 hours for the week I was able to go home and relax. Becoming SM, I had to come in on my days off, which I understand occasionally, work thru my approved vacation time, work open to close frequently. In 6 months, I had 7 days...

Are there any good quality homemaking dupes at the dollar tree / dollar store?

18h ago

I'm wanting to learn how to become more thrifty / save money more than I already do. Are there any high quality items for homemaking at the dollar tree? For instance, is any of the facial tissues equivalent to soft puffs or soft kleenex tissue? Is the toilet paper there just as good as charmin? Are the batteris sold there just as good? Any homemaking favorites you have from the dollar tree / dollar store?

Free boxes in AVL? any stores or shops that let people have old boxes?

18h ago

Does anyone know where I can get REALLY cheap or free boxes? (For a project, big, medium, and small sizes) I don’t really have the budget for boxes from walmart or Home Depot. Has anyone actually been to the liquor store or dollar tree and had them give free boxes? (I heard they’ll give boxes from a different subreddit) I’m willing to drive around avl for boxes, I just didn’t know if anyone else had suggestions!

How to overcome the fear of a first job?

1d ago

Now, I'm a fairly new adult from a lower class family. I don't have disability, and since I'm an adult, my moms CTC dropped by over 70%. I want to work desperately. I can't work hard like the average person, which is why I am currently trying at-home and under-the-table methods. (content creation and selling crafts) I know those two things alone won't be enough, so I want at least a part time job to help bring in a bit more. I have three options, two in which I have a probability of being rejected from. I will list from most to least desired. 1. A small shop owned by a very passionate man. He sells comics, old music, etc. Its a bit slow, but business booms in the su...

YALLLLLLLL shelf shot is first pic, haul in the second!! I was out in Everett WA this weekend visiting a friend and went to three Dollar Trees while I was there - if you're ever in the area, EVERETT WA HAS \*THE BEST\* DTS EVER. I live in Portland OR and our DTs are pretty tore up lmao. it felt like Christmas day!! would you just LOOK at this!! 😍😍😍 my first time ever finding Prolux foundation (!) the tooth whitening pen, the rose deodorant, the AHA lotion😍, that Kiyo serum (which goes for $15 online, I bought two lol!) also 🚨🚨🚨the Dermasil jelly cleanser has been GONE gone in my town. read a post a week or two ago where someone thought they might be phasing it ...

Apparently I need to qualify to work at the Dollar Tree.

1d ago

Looking for a second job and the lady on the phone from the dollar tree by my house was extremely rude and when I asked her if she was still looking for help, she kept saying "I'll have to see if you qualify". I'm thinking it's a dollar store. There are no real qualifications.

Dollar Tree Mani!

I was searching for an in-store water based topcoat and stumbled on a post here saying Dollar Tree carries a pretty good one. Turns out, they had the top coat but also a base coat, multiple polish colors, and chrome powder. I won’t lie, I had very low hopes for $1.25 polish, but I was pleasantly surprised! They dried a little slower than a normal polish but I expected that with the lack of solvents. The black polish was opaque in one coat and made a great base for the chrome powder. I’m not expecting it to last a long time, but that’s actually why I bought it since my tween daughter wants to paint her nails but hates removing with acetone so having a fancy finish like chrome without th...

How fast a product disappears from DT shelves as soon as you like it and go looking for it again

I planned to stock up on Dermasil's whipped recovery cream + maybe try out the eye roller and hydra serum from the same line (though I'm not sure if they're even really necessarily for my skin given how young I am; I've just been i fluenced by the sub lol 🙂‍↔️). So imagine my disappointment when over this weekend, I went to three Dollar Trees in my area, and not a single one of them had any of these Dermasil products in stock! 😭 It was especially frustrating because I had been to Dollar Tree one or two weeks prior, and I KNOW one store had them in stock, but I held off on buying them because I was waiting to stock up on stuff before moving out of my dorm. Has anyone tried electric shaving with aloe gel?

1d ago

I still use warm water and soap before shaving. Once my face is dry, I rub the aloe gel around my face and neck. I let it dry slightly for around 10-20 seconds and then use my electric shaver. The shaver just demolishes the hair. What I have noticed immediately is that the aloe gel makes my facial and neck hair really stand on end, unlike anything else I've tried. I'm able to finish my shave in just a few minutes and it's pretty **** close to the shave I get using a regular razor. I purchased the gel at Dollar Tree so if you have one of those nearby, that's the cheapest place to get it. If you don't have a Dollar Tree near you, it's still very cheap to purchase...

Stressed about upcoming financial change- need advice 🌸 usa

I’m 25, living with a relative currently but I will be moving out in the near future. I work full time, pay for my car and insurance, phone, health comes from my job and so does dental. I can’t afford any place on my own so it’ll be me and a roommate. I’ve been adding up all of my numbers and I’ve calculated that I won’t be able to spend more than $150 - $200 MAX per week for groceries, gas, medical anything extra This is all after my bills- rent, water- power, WiFi, the car etc. So at first I thought this would be plenty since I can cut out the takeout and the clothes or girly shopping etc. Uh I was 1000% wrong. On my new health insurnace the deductible is lower but the ...
