Bought the Baratza Encore ESP off Reddit recommendations. After third use, the paddle wheel destroyed itself. I noticed nothing was coming out of the chute. Inspected and sure enough it was clogged. Took it apart per YouTube videos on routine maintenance and noticed the paddle wheel had destroyed itself. The fins were missing. I can’t tell if the coffee clogging caused the paddle wheel to break or if the paddle wheel broke which led to the clogging. Anyone else with a Baratza Encore ESP have any insight on the longevity of the paddle wheel? Should I just call it a fluke, replace the wheel and grind on? Or should I look for another grinder?
