Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Dollar Tree Latest Community Discussions About Dollar TreeI'm out of options, help would be the biggest blessing.35m agoI don't make posts like this, ever. usually, I'm just a lurker in countless communities. I don't want to come here and ask for help - but I have no options left. I work 2 jobs, a full time overnight cashier job and I do Uber/lyft for my free time.Even then, I barely scrape by with the bills and the needs on a weekly basis. I make too much money for support like EBT, but not enough to actually live comfortably. Even then, I usually always make it work - even if it ***** sometimes. The problem is that sometimes **** just happens I guess. Last week, due to unavoidable situations, the store I work at was closed for 3 days last week. I only lost 2 days, but it threw a huge wrenc... First and third person POV tree service simulation39m agoTree service/trimming/maintenance is a tricky business, From simple limb drops and brush work to climbing and tying off swing lines/pulleys for tight work close to buildings. Tree felling in confined spaces and a lot of physics puzzles to solve. Game would start with basics tools hand says chain saws big saws little saws ropes chains pulleys block and tackle wedges axes hammers. There is a tool for every job and many jobs will have different ways to approach. Starting out with simple trimming and limb drops and moving up the tree higher and higher introducing new skills and tools as needed to approach the bigger jobs. Each job has a story and a payout. Tools are upgradeable and the latest... $80 for 2 weeks of groceries46m agoHello! I work on a contracted basis, and lately I have not been needed. I supplemented these last few years by working at a private practice that shut down. I’m currently trying to get hired for other clinics, but the process is taking longer than my cabinets will allow lol. I have a Walmart order built to show what all I need and will be using the money for, and if someone wants to do a card for Walmart or order directly I’d be okay with that! Whatever will show that I’m using the money for groceries. 2 of my kids live here full time (the others are spending the spring break with their dad!), one is autistic and only eats certain foods (knorr pasta, pasta roni, Bologna, green beans, t... My kid makes these and I think they deserve to be seen.47m agoThey're all around 10cm tall give or take, and made 100% from scratch with either stone powder clay or paper-based clay from the dollar store, and have a wire frame skeleton inside. He has boxes and boxes of them. I'm no expert but I'm always pretty blown away when a new one appears. Important sub announcement! 🌶️ (46 secs)59m agoI’m pleased to share the news that we now have an official sub sponsor! Welcome to the McCormick Company! We even have an official spice. The spice is…wait on it…>!allspice!<😂. Fun facts: McCormick is the largest spice company in the world with $7 billion USD (229.4 billion THB) in sales. It also owns French’s (mostly known for mustard). Anyway, the current price of the sub’s spice mascot (the fancy organic version obv) at Safeway (a US grocery store) is $5.02 (149.09 THB). Anyway, here’s what happened. I was trying to figure out how to make some money so I can pay off my debt, stop working and move to Thailand. I thought, this sub needs a sponsor. McCormick ca... Frank Abagnale is Worse Than You Think1h agoIt's well known that Frank Abagnale fabricated his life for the Catch Me If You Can book and movie. He was never a doctor at a hospital, he was never a fake lawyer who conducted real trials and he was never on the run from the FBI for years, he was in prison during the timeframe of the movie. Frank was a genuine con artist, just a very bad and boring one. He lied to people about his profession, pretended to be a pilot and wrote dozens of bad checks. But the more you look into Frank the more you find a pattern of creepy behavior and potential sex crimes. Franks stint as a fake pilot was only him flying around for a few weeks in 1969 dressed as one creeping on the staff. He began stalkin... The Mystery of Birch Landing1h agoAs a child, I moved around a lot. Between long-lasting feuds that seemed to last days, drug-fueled benders that left family members missing for weeks, and what seemed like hundreds of divorces and remarries, I was constantly moving from house to house. However, one place stands out most in my mind and was the most memorable building I ever called home. I lived in my childhood home for the first ten years of my life. They almost had to drag me kicking and screaming when we first moved. Every home I’ve lived in almost blended together, except the first. A nice three-bedroom home in a typical suburban neighborhood, back when my parents had the backing to afford such a place. Compared to the m... How Hindsight Revealed My Coding Patterns1h agoHow Hindsight Revealed My Coding Patterns Last night I wondered if an agent could learn my debugging habits; by morning, it was predicting my off-by-one errors before I even ran the code. I'm building Code-Buddy AI, a personalized coding assistant that learns how developers actually think—not just what they code. The core insight is simple: most learning platforms treat all mistakes the same. A null pointer exception is a null pointer exception. But that's not how humans learn. I make that mistake because I rush. You make it because you forget defensive programming. An agent that understood this difference could actually help. The problem was figuring out how to build th... A little rant about refunds.1h agoRogers, a billion dollar company, owns practically half of all telecoms in our country. Should this staggering institution be able to refund an over payment back into the account it came from like the mom and pop flower store down the street can? Of course not!! They need to send a cheque, presumably delivered by horseback, in 6-7 weeks like I called them from a time I needed to use a rotary phone. Luckily I don’t desperately need the money but the poor people who make the mistake and do need it back quickly. [Looking Testers] - Babelingo a word tower game for language teaching1h agoHey everyone! I'm building a multilingual word game called \*\*Babelingo\*\* and looking for testers. The core idea: you climb a tower, floor by floor, by answering word challenges. But here's the thing — \*\*the game mechanic changes every few floors\*\*, so it never feels like the same quiz over and over. Here's what you'll experience as you climb: 🎯 \*\*Classic Pick\*\* — The good old 4-option quiz. Simple, clean, effective. 🔤 \*\*Letter Wheel\*\* — Letters arranged in a circle. Swipe through them to spell the word. 🧩 \*\*Syllable Builder\*\* — The word is broken into syllables, scattered on screen. Drag them into the right order. 🌧️ \*\*Let... This game has some issues1h agoI’ve been playing since the server slam and I’m loving it but I can see how a lot of people will not stick with this. I’ll try to give some examples explaining what I feel will keep players from running back. 1. The imbalance of lobbies. This one is especially important for new players. I have a few friends who bought the game. One is slightly enjoying it while the other I doubt will play with us much longer. We load up on perimeter, they have their free load outs and I brought blue shields and weapons. Multiple consumables including revives and enhanced heals. I wanted to be able to survive and help them if we ran in to trouble, obviously. On perimeter, (The map I assume is mean... 17 dpo help1h agoClearblue test is positive However, walmart and dollar tree cheapies are very faint new to this hobby, where to find rolls?1h agohi all, I am new to this hobby. I went to my local bank and asked for penny rolls (they didnt have), they told me to go to the 99€ store, they said they didn't have any pennies. then i went to dollar general. and they had rolls. I dont want to keep going to the same store and make them run out of pennies. is there anywhere I could go to get rolls without making them run out? should I try different coins (e.g. nickels)? AFAIK buying online could be risky, as someone may have picked all the good ones out already. Working on a staff.1h agoGet to The Staff. You’re an “Action Officer”, whatever that means. Your duty title has changed 9 times in the last month because they keep reorganizing the staff. You were A34ST and now you’re A587U69. You’re not really sure what your job is so you ask your sponsor. They say “just put out fires….and don’t start any fires”. You had two days of overlap before they left as quickly as they could. Some days are slow, so you go to the gym and work on personal admin. Other days you are given tasks completely outside your scope/experience/background. You do the tasks incorrectly because you don’t know how. But you don’t get yelled at because you’re just a Major. Your boss ... Juvenile Delinquent1h agoPsychology says there are two specific parenting styles that are essential ingredients that when combined create the perfect recipe for juvenile delinquency: Authoritarian and Permissive. Wait, scratch that. I read somewhere that there are two parenting styles that when you mix them together you get the perfect recipe for raising a delinquent. One's called Authoritarian. The other's Permissive. My mother was the first. My father was the second. Clinically determined. Statistically proven. Universally accepted. One ruled with an iron fist; the other with freedom. Together they didn't stand a chance of raising anything other than a problem. The perfect formula for chaos. ... Permanent/semipermanent glow golf brainstorming request1h agoEDIT: [u/keyek](u/keyek) was the first to comment and did so with a great point. Lots of lights make it hard to see glow discs. But I’m not envisioning a course that caters to current glow discs; I’m envisioning a course where the course itself glows in a way that glow discs might be theoretically optional, save for bad throws. I posted an example picture as a top level comment to better describe what I’m envisioning for myself. Also worth noting is that this land is currently farmland, and so every single tree or bush would be planted exactly where and how I want it; every tree and bush would be lit up, and the perimeter of the property would be netted so nothing gets out. There also... Reel Mowers?1h agoHi folks. I am not a lawn guy, but I do have a yard with a mix of various grasses which I'd like to keep presentable. My lawn is about 1/5 of an acre on a hill, uneven, and has the occasional rock, stick, acorn, and root. From what I can tell online, these may make some reel mowers useless. Cleaning debris is possible, but there is only so much that can be done due to the terrain and the number of trees. I like the idea of a manual reel mower, both the lower noise and the manual-power appeal to me for environmental reasons. Before I drop several hundred dollars though I had some questions about the practicality of a reel mower: \- Are there reel mowers which do better in hilly terrain ...
