Currently shopping for first electric and these two options seem to be my best bet. I’ve heard they are similar quality internally, and the sound you get from both isn’t far off from each other. The Fender looks fantastic though lol. I’m willing to compromise on appearance and save a few hundred bucks though if the J Mascis will get me similar sound and longevity. I use filtered water and even let it sit for a day or two before using it either way. I added those self watering sticks but I haven’t use them because maybe it will make it worse.
