Hello everyone! Im new to crystal collection, and I was recently gifted a tiny piece of malachite (not the pure one, but the one you would use in jewelry). As I've read that it's prone to deterioration (and someone accidentally scratched it with a jasper), I was wondering what would be best to keep it safe and secure. My room has a humidifier, and to avoid contact with humidity I was thinking of putting it in a tin box (the one you would store mint candies in) with a velvet/cotton padding and then keeping it in a drawer with a trash can (because the drawer is semi-transparent and faces the general direction of the window). I work at a pet store that takes in relinquished animals, we have had this one customer that has been forced to relinquish these mice in a prior occasion due to mental health but after he got better we allowed them to take them back to their home in hopes he'd do a good job (sometimes all you can do). However they've come back again, I'm not sure if this was a legitimate relinquish or a repeat of last time but I realized that they've changed colors- they were originally sold as white "feeder" mice.
