I know there is another general strike planned for today but many locally owned restaurants are really struggling right now. January is traditionally the slowest time of the year for restaurants but so far this year many restaurants have seen their sales cut in half of what they usually make this time of year. Additionally, many immigrant owned restaurants actually closed their doors for a time and are just starting to open back up. Pair that with the fact that almost all the businesses that participated in the general strike last week were also local small businesses. I've been using a mixture of journals and a digital app for the last 29 years. I tend to take photos of the essential "collections", trackers etc in the physical notebook and store those JPEGs in a folder on harddrive called Common place book. The things I learnt each month are also stored separately and sent to this Commonplace book. The CPB at present then is entirely digital.
