Hi all, I have a spectra S1. Im supposed to keep sealed daily and put through bottle washer once per day. Im one month into pumping and I’ve been using a new gallon sized ziploc bag every day and then most of the time I’m throwing it out. I store the ziploc bag in the fridge between pumping. I’m looking for an ideal alternative which can fit both of the fully assembled bottle plus flanges (the more you dis-assemble, the more chance for bacteria). Picked this pen up at a flea market/barn store for five dollars! I have never restored any of my vintage pens so I figured why not give it a shot. It had this greenish residue all over the feed and nib so I soaked the pen for a couple of days and then hit it with my heat gun. Once I got it apart, I placed the parts inside my ultrasonic cleaner with water and a dash of dish soap and let it sit for about ten minutes. The rest of the green residue came off and made the nib and feed look brand new. I noticed the lever was not seated flush so I pulled that out as well.
