Somewhat surprising results comparing 75% hydration sourdough made with generic-brand bread flour (left) and bleached AP flour (right). Despite having a higher protein content, the bread flour dough felt stickier throughout the entire stretch/fold and shaping process and ended up with a \*slightly\* less regular crumb and lower rise (maybe due to overhandling during shaping?). Thought both tasted similarly good, mildly sour, nice chew. Saw a video by Bake with Jack showing that some store-brand bread flours are actually made up of standard/AP flour + additional gluten. I was on the fence.... While I was near the store and the delivery address was very close when I saw the number of items I had to shop for I decided against that for the pay. I think that is low pay for the number of items would have had to shop for. I know doordash determined base pay based on distance but they really should include complexity of the order when it comes to shop and pay orders. If they already do then this is definetly a screw job. I just picked up these Anderson Bean goat suede boots from Country General Store in Van Nuys, CA. I believe they are exclusive to the store. While I'm not certain, I think the toe is the KS toe. Goat shaft, goat suede vamp. They are comfortable from the first wear. I had tried on a few pairs of Rios of Mercedes suede boots earlier in the day, but preferred the toe on these. The jeans are Kapital Century Denim #7 - they're great.
