We run an AI chat app doing \~35k queries/day across general use cases (no niche domain). Costs are starting to add up, so we’re trying to optimize for **performance per dollar**, not just raw intelligence. Obviously GPT / Claude / Gemini perform great — but at our volume they get expensive fast. What models are people seeing the best real-world balance from right now? I almost exclusively order curbside service because grocery stores make me anxious. I regularly purchase the fruit trays and veggie trays, then break them down into smaller portions to use throughout the week, and the quality is typically fair. This week the carrots in the veg tray were slimy and the pineapple on the fruit tray had white spots on it. This order was set to be picked up on Saturday, and it was retrieved on time. I was at dollar general yesterday looking at the freshly stocked cars after being slim for 3 weeks. I had 6 cars set on the shelf. Another guy comes down the aisle stops and looks at me. Hello! I’m planning a backpacking trip to The Maze in a month or so and am looking for some advice about food storage. As far as I can tell, bear cans are not required in the Maze, but you do need to store your food properly. As far as I can tell, I shouldn’t rely on finding trees to hang my food from. I’ve seen people talking about Ursack AllMitey food bags as a good option, but does anyone have specific advice about what to store food in and how/where to stash the food bag overnight?
