The 1st image is half Dollar General (Resident Evil, Bakugan & a concert movie) and a thrift store (Vanilla Sky, Pineapple Express, Half Baked & Jay and Silent Bob). 2nd image is more thrift store pickups (including the single disc for A Few Good Men). The 3rd and 4th images are random lots I found for free on Marketplace (both were free and came from donation centers who didn’t want the DVDs). There are quite a few duplicates for me but I can use them for class swaps. Bad Boys 1 is sealed. The 5th image is a 4K copy of Godzilla King of the Monsters, I got that from my library which had some DVDs for sale.

I've lived in multiple states across the east coast and midwest. I've made a lot of long drives and make a point to blindly stop in different towns for food and hotels just to get the lay of the land. This is a bit of an overstatement but its to the point where most places in the US barely even have their own "culture" or "vibe". The US is basically just one big Buc-ee's.

I posted in here to rant less than a week ago about the store manager at my location. A very short update on that being the key holder i mentioned did lose her job due to the false accusations. BUT, this Thursday, I called the store manager and told her that I had woken up sick and vomiting and would not be able to come into work. She responded by telling me I had better be going to the emergency room if it was bad enough to skip work. I told her I could not afford that as I was only a part time employee and wasn’t even getting my 15 hours. Has anyone noticed that sometimes the same product at different types of stores seem to have lower food quality? Maybe it’s an odd post, but I bough some Spaghetti-Os recently from Dollar General (discount food store) and they taste completely different from the ones I get at Walmart, even the texture is different. I also noticed this with some other foods. Is it just a coincidence?

A Walmart supercenter usually isn't there, the format needs a population base those towns don't have. National grocery chains tend to be absent too. What often shows up is a Dollar General. Ok so back when I was working for DG I would be "loaned out" to the different DG stores in my county and one county up. There was astore that I liked the staff but none of the customers. At the store one county up one night I was closing with the head cashier and this lady came up to check out and im just scanning her large order as quickly as I can cuz it was getting close to closing time and I just happened to look up to be friendly and crack a joke but I see 'bout 5 or 6 juicy bedbugs crawling on her neck and shoulders. I was doing an easy shop and deliver to dollar general or D-Gen as I like to call it. The order was just toilet paper and a small package of baby diapers. It was for a size 6 and all of the sizes except for that were on the shelf closest to me. I saw a size 6 up on the high shelf. So what did I do? Grabbed one package of baby diapers and threw it on top of the one I needed. Only a few times and it made it fall off the shelf😂 this was a proud moment. Getting help from a store employee would have taken 20 million times longer.

Can anyone give me some info on being an assistant at 7-11? I worked at a franchise 7-Eleven a few years ago and then moved on to be a GM for Dollar General. I was recently offered a ASM position at 7-Eleven for a pretty decent pay per hour compared to my salary at Dollar General. I've already left Dollar General that place is just a dumpster fire. Now I'm just want to some insight on 7-Eleven it is not a franchise, it's a corporate run store.

Just an update to the security sensor incident: I told one of my other coworkers about the incident with the security sensors that I mentioned in my last post. She also thought it was weird so she went and checked the cameras. When she came back I asked her if she saw anything unusual and she said the most unexpected thing. Apparently the cameras that record the front door weren't recording while the guy was there. And then the last thing they recorded was when I was mopping (around 9:45-10:00 ish). This is the first stuff I've been able to find on the shelf at msrp other than single packs and small blisters or mega and phantasmal. Are they worth stashing away in our collections three for each of us or should my son and I just open them?

This was a $10 offer for a $1 mustard from Dollar General going down the street. I was closer to one DG so I ran into that one and grabbed the item. I didn’t think about it until I got a message from the customer saying “how did you get my mustard if you didn’t go to the dollar store?” It didn’t connect in my head yet that they only see the originally store on the map so I sent her a photo of the mustard in the DG bag and her response was “purrrrr” - it went from there. My 19 year old son would be mortified to see me using “bag is secured”.

Was able to find a complete box at dollar general and only found 3 of each which is crazy considering the hype. Hopefully everyone who wants one gets it in store because people are making stock piles and going straight to fb market.

So I'm an SA at my local Dollar General for 6yrs now and making 11.50/hr right now, but the people I know irl are complaining that I need to step up and make more money to find a better job. They're advise: 1) Take on a higher position in the store to make more money 2) Take on a second job at another company in the area. They feel my concerns of this not being possible are bullshit: 1) Taking on a higher position would mean having much less control of my schedule,higher chances of being called in on days off without the option to decline, the increase in pay would be maybe $1 at most. • They feel this is an excuse because they feel that the extra hours for that much pa...
