I am a jewelry designer and manufacture my own products that I sell in my shopify store. I am living in the chicken and egg scenario of too few reviews creating hesitation / trust questions but I can’t get more reviews without selling more products. All of the reviews I do have are good and most have photos. I have some products that are one of a kind as well which obviously does not lend itself well to collecting reviews. My products are several hundred dollars to thousands of dollars, so I understand the buyer hesitation. Is there something I am not thinking of to get past this? How do other stores and brands approach this?

I did a store pickup for Sephora in Kohls last night for the 8 oz. First Aid Beauty Cream. I should've opened the (stapled) bag then and there, but I was in a long pickup line. Turned out it expired in October '25. I called, and the best Sephora CS could do was let me drive a half hour back to swap it for August '26. I'm just going to return it. I was wondering what the general advice here would be. We are renting a unit in VA and the landlord has stored their items they use for the house (big toolbox, ladders, paint cans, trim pieces. etc.) in a couple of the closets. One is a utility closet so we would not be using that space to store our stuff anyways but the other is a closet that we could use to store our own items. There's nothing in the lease about us agreeing to them having items stored anywhere in the unit.
