My wife (32F) has been experiencing severe foot pain every few months for almost four years now, depending on the strain/stress. Her foot swells up, and she can't put weight on it properly. The pain is often in different parts of her foot, either on the top or bottom of the midfoot, or on the side. Sometimes it's her left foot, sometimes her right. Usually, only one or two ibuprofen helps to relieve the pain. We've often tried bandaging it or wearing those special shoes you can get at a medical supply store. We've also had a custom insole made.
