My local shop said the battery was dying and to take it by the store where I got it because it was still within its life expectancy, but the shop insisted the battery was still good. And the problem wasn't (and still isn't!) constant, so I wasn't going to push the matter. More recently, periodically warning lights would come on for the ABS, TPMS, and VSA. They don't necessarily come on in unison, and turn off on their own, too. My check engine light came on recently. It too would turn off and on, but wh... On October 18th, a video was posted of a No Kings protest that occurred there. While plenty of commenters expressed their support for the activists, a bunch of others had differing views (to put it mildly). \_\_\_\_\_\_ Highlights: * Thank goodness there are decent folks in The Woodlands. I had a bad feeling they were no different from some of the typical Magnolia right wingers just richer:-) * [Your pr... 6 month hot sauce run4m agoFirst pic is the final product- I wanted to see how much I had before I ordered bottles. Worked out to about 4 gallons of sauce after back filling with some homemade plum vinegar (not shown) and some store bought white wine vinegar. Black specs in the final are hibiscus, which makes the sauce even redder and adds some floral notes. Recipe for the fermentation was 6Tbsp salt and sugar, a whole garlic, and 1 Tbsp Maras Biber per half gallon and a handful of peppercorns. Peppers are colombian rainbow (little guys, like a thai chili met a jalapeno) and poblanos (or something like them). Getting the seeds and stems out of both was a huge pain and took days of effort and searing hands. I used brow... Traumatized today4m agoJust wanted to share an experience I had today with folks who (might) understand. I had to run to the pet store this afternoon to pick up crickets for the critters in a small natural history museum where I volunteer. I had to wait for someone ahead of me who was getting goldfish. Cool. I like to watch folks pick out fish. No, wait. Maybe that employee is doing something else…he is netting up so many, then trying to count as they go into the transfer container. Finally he stops and bags them up, saying, “There might be a few extra.” The woman responds that is fine, as she’s sure her guys won’t mind. With horror, as the employee writes a big “50” on the bag, I realize what i ha... thrifted cameras?4m agodoes anybody know any cool thrift stores in frederick or near that area where i could find some good digital cameras? :) Baby Gyaru6m agoDoes anyone have any good clothing stores/websites to buy from? I only know Shein (which isn’t really ethical, but it’s what I can afford) and AliExpress. I would thrift, but I live in Georgia, especially in an area where there aren’t many clothes that fit the himegyaru style. I would DIY, but I don’t want to DIY everything, you know? Does anyone have recommendations? 🥹 Seriously thinking of moving to Barrie area - looking for advice7m agoBackground: My wife and I and our two young kids (4 and 7) are thinking of moving to Barrie area (within 30 minutes or so of Barrie). So far we like Midhurst and Anten Mills and some properties in Oro-Medonte area along the Lake (all pricy, we know). I am recently released from the military with a good income and I'm aware of housing prices etc in the area (have been tracking prices on House Sigma for a couple years in the area). That being said, as Barrie is the hub in all of this, we would love to know more about Barrie and the surrounding area. **Motivation to pick Barrie area is:** 1) Sister and her family in Elmvale 2) seems like a nice city 3) love that it is so close to camp... New cashier/question8m agoI am 39 and recently took a second job to help make ends meet. I am a cashier at a grocery store. And older man, with health issues, came in and bought a beer. He said, please be patient with me, you are about to get some poor man's coins. I said that's not a problem at all! It all spends the same. My line started to get really long, and could tell my customers were getting frustrated with how long it took this man to count his nickels and dimes. I was torn. I wanted to help him count his coins but i also didn't want to insult the man. I know a lot of the elderly community get offended when offered help. I wasn't sure what to do. I do everything i can to make my cust... ‘25 ES300h ($50k) vs ‘25 IS350 ($48k).9m agoLocal dealership in my area offers discount off of MSRP and I am contemplating about the two. ES for $51k ($59K original price) vs IS350 F Sport for $48k ($55k original price). This is without tax added yet. ES300h has ML, 360 parking assist, Luxury Package, Tri-beam. Chocolate interior, HUD. IS350 is non-ML, 12-inch display, Navigation Package, Tri-beam, black interior. I love IS350 because of its looks and it’s V6. It’s what I actually wanted, it’s the car what made me turn to lexus. I was surprised the interior is tight considering I’m only 5’5. Interior was dated. ES300h was impressive! It was really comfortable and quiet. Packs tech features inside. Now im kinda d... I’m new to this so I’m trying to figure out the formatting. But I need clarity on an ex and past relationship. This ...11m agoTo preface: This was my first relationship. I’m very picky and anxious when it comes to dating. We are on opposite sides of the political scale, we both were aware of this both times getting involved with each other. We met on tinder. He’s a Jewish (kinda not really even religious) white man, I’m a Christian biracial black and white woman. He claimed how “wow, you’re more religious than me” and I am not a bible thumper. I was raised to give everything and all my blessings to God and have faith. Yeah go ahead and laugh it up how we’re **** and the circumstances would lead to this, I already know, don’t need the ****. I already **** myself at times when I would allow things to ... I’ve become incredibly frustrated by people’s behavior when it comes to making friendships at my age (early 30s). I think most people would generally describe me as pleasant and fun to talk to. I have no trouble making acquaintances or work friends for example. This actually transitions into a good story to describe what I’m talking about: At my previous job, I quickly made friends with a lot of people in my department. We would talk, make jokes, get lunch together, etc (yes, I know “work friends” are a thing and don’t usually turn out to be serious life long friends, but bare with me). We all got increasingly closer, we’d go to lunch/coffee almost alwa... Looking to buy Vietnam national team & local club jerseys in Hanoi12m agoHey everyone, I’m planning to visit Hanoi soon, and I really want to buy the Vietnam national football team jersey. Does anyone know if the [Jogarbola location](https://maps.app.goo.gl/P77iW3R8JSeeVFNY8) actually has a physical shop? If not, where would you recommend buying it instead? Also, it looks like **Grand Sport**, the older brand that used to make the national kits, might still be selling them. Does anyone know if they actually sell jerseys at [this address](https://maps.app.goo.gl/eD6Kk5pcxtnACfYz9)? The Google reviews for that place aren’t great, so I’m a bit hesitant. In addition to the national team kit, I’d love to get a local club jersey, especially the **Hanoi FC ... 30F, USA, SAHM, I needs friends besides my baby lol12m agoHi everyone! I’m hoping to make some new friends because, honestly, my town’s a little too wild for me lol. I’m a talkative, southern (accent and all) SAHM in sunny (and rainy) Florida who loves good conversation, painting, singing, and anything creative. My little boy is my absolute world, and I’ve also got four rescue cats who think they run the house (they might be right lol). I love Disney, Broadway, and oldies music, and I’m a huge sports fan (hockey especially!) I’ve also got a soft spot for history and random fun facts, so if you love chatting about quirky things, we’ll probably get along just fine. I’m friendly, a little quirky, and always up for a good laugh or d... Truly bespoke in every way, including down to the exhaust soundtrack software, he C-X75 sports a supercharged V8 engine, now mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Significantly, CALLUM’s engineers developed an advanced active aero package exclusively for the C-X75. At speeds above 60km/h it provides additional downforce to increase stability and deliver more sure-footed handling. An air brake function bleeds in added control during hard braking. For urban driving, a hydraulic front lift suspension offers enhanced practicality... 44F, up for good chat and developing friendships16m agoHi! These are always a bit awkward to write. I'm a 44 yo female, married, no kids and WFH which makes it difficult to socialize at times. I've had pen pals for years and just really enjoy getting to know people. Husband is aware. I'm in the US, love hockey, gaming (not hardcore though), reading, deeper chats but always happy to just share day to day thoughts and check ins. Really enjoy exploring my area, museums, theater, sporting events, festivals, discovering new places, history, and more. That said, I'm a non-shy introvert who's does enjoy a good movie, snack and chill time. Gaming buddies would be fantastic. That said, if anyone wants to chat... Looking for a worthwhile adaptor to play on a modern TV18m agoMy current TV needs to be put to pasture, and I've discovered that the sets available in stores right now don't have the proper hookups to connect my old consoles. (Though I bought one with a composite input, but when I tried it out the aspect ratio options did not include one with pillarboxing. WTF?!) So, it looks like my only option now is to find a box to convert my old AV cables into an HDMI signal. I've been looking around, but so far I can only find cheap adaptors that seem to have no capacity to alter the aspect ratio (and I'd bet good money they just stretch the image) or they are costing $325 - $750. yikes. I'm willing to spend a bit of extra cash for ... It seriously feels like the show just grew to **** the Lance family! Like seriously, what the ****?!19m agoSara: 1. Gives up her freedom to rejoin the League after being set free and fighting alongside Oliver 2. Gets murdered in an . . . oh my God gruesome way. There's being done dirty and then there's . . . THAT! 3. Gets buried in a grave from 7 years ago, with no one ever knowing her story. Honestly, **** move, guys. At LEAST get a new **** grave! 4. Wasn't always planned on being revived, so her original story was pain, brief freedom before giving it up again, then being MURDERED to further someone else's story! Oh my God. I mean . . . Oh. My. God. That is ALL kinds of messed up! Thank GOODNESS for Legends and what it allowed Sara to become . . . in the first 3 seasons: Ca... Winter Jacket23m agoHello everyone, As the weather is starting to get colder, I want to start looking for a good quality jacket. It has to be warm, stylish and waterproof (nice to have but not mandatory). Do you have any brand recommendations? I would like to try the jacket in person so specific store locations will be greatly appreciated (I live in east London). Budget is around 150£, can go up to 200£ if it is something that is really worth it (I am a student). ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
