Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Dicks Sporting Goods Latest Community Discussions About Dicks Sporting GoodsYouth Art Contest at The Pine & Eight!3h agoToday they have a lil' gathering evening from 2pm-5pm for all kiddos to come and stop by for some coloring and art making! Love this store so much! Great people, good vibes, and winner of the Youth Art Contest wins gift cards to the grocery! (More info on rules & how to enter via their insta) Can we all agree that Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest theoretical athlete OAT?3h agoWhile I believe Bo Jackson is probably the greatest athlete ever strictly because we have all the documentation and video proof of his accomplishments to back it up, I think Wilt is easily the greatest theoretical athlete to ever exist. He was 7’1, could bench 600+ lbs, scored 100 points in an NBA game, could touch the top of the backboard standing up vertically, ran a 4.4 40 yard dash, could have played almost any sport that he wanted because of his strength and way way more. Considering that the athletes back then didn’t have anywhere close to the type training or technology that athletes have today to make them better, there is no telling just how good Wilt could have truly been. How do you live for yourself?3h agoIn the last few years, I've felt useless and incompetent. In 2024-2025, I decided I'd change and started reading more, drawing more, being more sociable, etc. I've become a respected person among my friends and people in general. I'm decently intelligent, double majoring in maths and computer science, I have good knowledge of philosophy (of maths and of language) and I've always been talented at painting and drawing. I'm also decently attractive and I believe I have a great personal style. To add onto that, I've even published a text I wrote in a local magazine recently. People like me because I'm well-spoken and confident. I do feel proud of myself, b... 1980 is vintage right?3h agoJust picked up this 1980 kz 750. Runs good, has an o ring thing to look at but other that it’s in pretty good shape. Is there anything I should look out for bikes if this era? My only other bike is a dual sport from 2000+ so this is new to me. I’m excited though! Stop relying on willpower. It’s a finite resource.4h agoI used to think that "getting disciplined" meant trying harder, waking up earlier, and just "grinding" through the resistance. But I’ve realized I was wrong. As James Clear famously said, “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” I created a masterclass on the science of habit formation (based on the BJ Fogg and James Clear methods). Here are the 3 shifts to implement immediately: 1. Making Habits "Too Small to Fail" - Instead of "I’m going to meditate for 30 minutes," I’m starting with one deep breath. Why? Because the hardest part of any habit is the start. Once you master the art of showing up... I designed a 70-day plan to fix my life! is it realistic?4h ago# Fixed & organised version (faithful to your intent) My name is Heithem. I’m a full-stack web engineer living in Algeria, North Africa. I specialise in e-commerce and marketplaces. That’s my niche. I’ll start with some context so you understand where I’m coming from. For the last two years, I focused almost exclusively on mastering web engineering. I’m already a software engineer, so this didn’t start as a self-taught hobby. I learned the fundamentals properly, then went deep. Today, I work mainly with: * Next.js and TypeScript * Node.js for backend * React and Tailwind CSS (including server components) * Prisma + PostgreSQL On top of that: API integrations, AI i... I have had Seb Derm for 16 year now. Here are a few things that work for me4h agoIt started in high school for me, and was at its worst during high school and college. However, over time, I have found a few things that have greatly helped it. I am hoping someone can take at least one thing away from this to help them. 1. I wash my face every single night with just water, salt, and vinegar. Especially if I have been sweating or eating “messy” foods. I have found oil to be a huge contributor to my Seb Derm being bad, which might explain why it was at its worse for me when I was in high school and going through puberty. Here is what I do every night as of the past few years: \- Quick rinse with water Then, I take a soft Kleenex and wipe off my face to get off any de... Speaking from experience, why does it feel like Black folk get mad when you DON'T play sports?4h agoIt's a very silly rant but it's something that I sometimes still can't shake even as an adult. I was always a big, tall child. In fact, I remember being 5'10-11 in the 5th or 6th grade, as both of my parents are tall-ish (mother and father both are 5'10-11). I'm 32 now and standing at 6'6", but growing up, literally *everyone* would ask me or my mother, "Do you/does he play any sports?", or when we would answer no, it would always be met with how my mother "needed to make \[me\] play" or they would've done so as my parent, and how I could be a "money-maker". Mind you, it would always be either football or basketb... 36 [M4F] Looking for a genuine connection (long-term if it clicks)4h agoHi there, I’m a 36-year-old guy from the uk putting this out there in the hope of finding a real connection — whether that starts as good conversation, friendship, or something that naturally grows into more over time. A bit about me: I work in a fairly professional role and I’m currently studying for a master’s degree, so life is fairly busy but in a good way. Outside of that, I’m into sports (watching and playing), history, and reading and taking my dog out for long walks. I’m generally easygoing, curious, and enjoy getting to know people properly rather than rushing things. I’m hoping to connect with someone around a similar stage in life who enjoys conversation, has he... I have zero motivation to get active4h agoMale, 31; 1.80m (\~5'11"); 90kg (\~200 lbs). ADHD and Autistic (clinical diagnosis, not self-diagnosed/TikTok). Depression + Anxiety. I have zero motivation to stop being sedentary. I’ve never liked physical activities; I’ve always preferred conversation and mental exercises. I was the kid who wanted to play chess in gym class. I’ve been married for almost 10 years and also have a girlfriend (we’re non-monogamous). So I don’t have that motivation of needing to look good to pick people up. I’m childfree and plan to stay that way, so I don’t have the "I need to be around for them" motivation. I’m an atheist and don’t believe in an afterlife, so I figure... 4Verts CFM4h ago4Verts Madden Leagues! The pitch was simple: anyone could build professional applications without touching a line of code. Fast forward to today, and most entrepreneurs are still stuck on the sidelines, watching others profit from software businesses while they struggle with the same old barriers. The ... Instagram page - https://www.instagram.com/dm.centro?igsh=MXdsdXd6cmJ1OTl1MA== Recent Vinyl Haul4h agoPicked the first bunch up (pic 1) from a Facebook marketplace find for $160. Might have overpaid, but I think it’s a good get. Pic 2, I picked up at a record store. Been wanting 2001 for a minute. The rest of the pictures are a bunch I have the opportunity to buy from my coworker. His mom totally forgot she had them, and he said he trust me to come up with price or he will just give them to me. I can’t just take them for free as there is some very good stuff in there. What do y’all think would be a fair price. I’m 24M and just looking for a few new people to talk to and get to know over time. I’m into sports, music and working out and I’m pretty easy to talk to and a good listener. I like regular conversations, sharing daily life stuff, random thoughts, and having some laughs along the way. No pressure, just simple and genuine chats. If that sounds nice, feel free to message or comment Take shot4h agoNew Fresh Structure Q1/Q24h agoGood afternoon y’all, I was told that there was a new fresh structure being piloted in a single store right now, but they didn’t have any info on what it might be. I read on another post that they were separating Fresh from F&C, and adding some new teams/TLs to Fresh. Has anyone heard anything about this? Anyone heard of La Quimera?4h agoJust came across this on Steam and it looks pretty good. Graphics are definitely amazing and gunplay seems fun. I wonder if Fitgirl will take a look at this one? (I know I can't make requests, just curious what everyone else thinks) [https://store.steampowered.com/app/2282350/La\_Quimera/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2282350/La_Quimera/) 26M - Omaha(NE)/USA - Seeking driven and goal-oriented friends for meaningful connection and mutual growth4h agoHey everyone. I'm 26, living in Omaha (NE), and posting this because I'm trying to find a specific kind of friends. Not just someone to hang out and kill time with, but people who are genuinely driven, have goals, and are actually putting in the work to make them happen. I'd love to connect on a deeper level – someone I can actually talk to about what we're working on, the challenges we hit, the progress we're making, maybe even brainstorm or find ways to help each other out. I'm not really looking for casual small talk; I'm hoping to find people who are on a similar wavelength in terms of drive, curiosity, and how they look at life. Big plus if you'... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
