X4 First Impressions

1h ago

I ordered a black X4 on the 6th from the official store and it just arrived now (in the UK) after 10 days. My e-ink background: I'm an old PalmPilot fanatic (we're *all* old now) and one of the things I loved was reading on it. In those days that was a weird thing to do. Had a pretty girl ask me what I was doing was in an Irish bar in Montreal once... ahem! First dedicated e-reader was a Sony PRS-505. That device came out in 2007, which is both long ago and seems too recent. Then some kindles- currently have a PaperWhite and an original Scribe, both of which I like. The X4 a) fascinated me as a product, b) made me flash back to those PalmPilot days and c) I hope will get me off...

Alpaka Clearance sale

1h ago

Hey folks. Not sure if this type of post here is cool or not so I apologize if this rubs you the wrong way. We are a Canadian reseller and after giving Alpaka a shot in our store we have decided to cut the line and put our remaining inventory on clearance. If you are interested in one of these slings, this is probably a a really good opportunity to pick one up at a discounted price. CinemaHD & Sports

1h ago

Good morning, everyone. I’m not super-versed in the apk side loading world. (The extent of my knowledge was being able to figure out how to use downloader to install CinemaHD on my own.) Now that that app is gone, can anyone recommend a similar app that I can install through downloader? Any recommendations for a live sports app would be appreciated as well. For now I just use streameast through silk, and with the popup blocker it works just fine, but it’s bound to get shut down again eventually. Thanks for taking the time to read and any help you can give!

Tried 5 IPTV services this month… here’s what actually worked

1h ago

Alright, I got tired of buffering and random IPTV services dying after a week, so I tested a few over the last month. Here’s my honest experience: * Some had good channels but constant buffering (especially during live matches 💀) * Others worked fine for 2–3 days then just stopped * A few had no support at all when things broke I almost gave up, but I found one that’s been surprisingly stable so far. Streams are smooth, HD quality is actually legit, and it didn’t crash during peak hours (which is rare). What I liked: * No annoying buffering every 2 minutes * Good sports + international channels * Works well on multiple devices * They give a **24h free trial**, so you don’t ...

Broke my heart in Rome

1h ago

Hey guys, I went through something with someone that still left me confused and maybe a bit sad. I'll try to keep it short, but it's difficult. I'm from Europe and lived in the US for a bit where I met a guy through Tinder, and then I moved back to Europe. In January, he kept texting me, and I was intrigued because he was quite interested in what I do and my home country and me. Somehow, we ended up speaking even 4 hours a day over facetime. We've talked about a lot of vulnerable things, our childhoods, futures and whatnot. He said he really likes me and he can't wait to see me one day, and we flirted and got horny online and whatnot. He is a painter, so he said he...

Is there actually a useful discounted food app for students or is it all just too good to go mystery bag roulette?

1h ago

I've tried too good to go a couple of times and I like the idea but it's just not predictable enough for me to plan around. Sometimes it's great, sometimes you get a bag of random stuff you have no idea what to do with. I cook on a tight budget. I kind of need to know what I'm getting before I commit to it. Are there any others where I can maybe see what the store has beforehand?

Looking for new friends:)

1h ago

23,M Just moved to Ahmedabad for work and looking to build a good circle here. I’m into cinema, sports, books, psychology, philosophy, and also enjoy meaningful conversations, random rants, and the occasional party. Looking for like-minded people who are up for genuine connections, good discussions, and chill hangouts. If that sounds like you, feel free to reach out and we can plan something simple to start.

Great visual novels with heavy life sim elements?

1h ago

I’m craving something super specific that only one game so far has been able to scratch, and I’m not sure if it even counts as a life sim (more of a life sim + rpg+ visual novel?) but I’m referring to the wonder that is - I Was a Teenage Exocolonist! What I loved most about it was that smooth and even feeling of growing up and time passing from month to month and year to year. It gave me some of the vibe I liked in the Persona games (especially Persona 4) just with much more focus on the life simulation and how seasons change and characters grow older. All the while your stats affect certain outcomes of certain decisions, and it was the perfect amount of RPG elements to not be overbea...

Football betting apps: What's best for odds, live betting, and fast cashouts?

1h ago

I think I have finally worked out why a lot of sportsbook rankings feel useless to me. Most of them judge the brand, the promo, or the market list on paper, but that is not how I actually use these things. What I care about now is much simpler. When I open **football betting apps** on my phone, which ones actually feel good to use, stay easy to trust, and still feel worth keeping around after the first few sessions? That is really why I am asking this here instead of reading another generic top-ten page. I am not looking for the loudest bonus or the prettiest homepage. I want to know which apps still feel strong when I am checking odds quickly, using **live betting**, and thinking about whe...

Where to shop for female clothing in Taipei?

1h ago

Hi! I wonder where do the fashionable girlies buy good quality and nice clothing in Taipei? I came from a city with Uniqlo, Muji etc. so am looking for more local boutiques or unique clothing stores. Doesn’t necessarily have to be cheap because I’m not interested in low quality flimsy clothing (Shein quality). Sorry in advance if this is not the right sub to ask this question.

Manhattan with a 4yo

1h ago

We are visiting some friends in Pelham NY in late June, and are planning to take the train into Manhattan for the day with our 4yo. Looking for tips/tricks to make things easy, places to go, good spots to eat, where to use the bathroom, etc. Grand Central will be our starting point, what do you recommend for either an easy walk or subway ride from there? I had lower Central Park in mind with some playgrounds and the zoo, maybe Natural History Museum? We don't really need to do all that much, just walking around might be interesting enough for him. A few of my concerns-Getting around for the day using train/subway/walking-he can walk but can't keep up in crowds. I can carry hi...

Fake banknotes mocked a US president. And are now worth thousands. The rare ‘Great Loco Foco Juggernaut’ is basicall...

1h ago

you’re a politician, it’s one thing to see your face and policies made fun of in a political cartoon. But satirical currency? That’s a whole different level of critique. A special piece of this political history billed as “the most unhinged banknote ever printed” recently sold for a whopping $4,800. This fake bank note lampoons the terrible banking policy under cheese-loving President Andrew Jackson and offers us a window into understanding the political slings and arrows tossed around during the Hard Feelings Era, a real historical era from 1832 to 1844 named for a severe economic downturn linked to bad banking practices. The Locofoco Party and a big fiscal panic The valuabl...

55/M in Midwest for chatting, getting to know each other

1h ago

A little more than halfway through the work week and inching closer to the weekend feels pretty good. Seems like as good a time as any for a new friend or two. I like to connect with genuine people. I’ve had some great conversations, and not surprisingly most have been short term. I’d prefer to make long term connections. That takes work by both people and is rewarding when it happens. I admit I get a little attached (harmlessly) and it ***** when someone I’ve enjoyed getting to know disappears. I’m single and live in Illinois, where the weather is warming up. I love a beautiful day outside — from cooking on the grill, taking care of my flowers, going on a hike or road trip, or w...

Google Merchant Center Misrepresentation Resolved / 20+ Accounts in 2 Weeks

1h ago

Over the last 2 weeks, we’ve reactivated 20+ GMC accounts and brought them back to full compliance and long-term stability using our Insider Protocol, combined with a deep, detailed audit handled by the team.. One thing that’s very clear right now: **misrepresentation issues are becoming more and more common..** and in most cases, they’re not random at all. What we’re seeing is that small gaps in fundamentals, inconsistencies across assets, or overlooked details are what usually trigger these suspensions. It’s rarely just one big mistake.. it’s the accumulation of multiple weak points. If you’re currently running GMC, it’s critical to make sure: * Your **store, domain,...

HuggingFace Has 200K+ Datasets. Here's How to Actually Find the Right One with Natural Language

1h ago

To Find a Good dataset from hugging face is difficult, especially if I try to do it manually by writing script & then downloading 8M rows, load it up. Just to find out it doesn't fit my usecase or if its not that good. Multiply that by four or five datasets per project & I've spent a lot of time without writing a single training example. The fix is indexing dataset rows as searchable text, the same way you'd index documents. Each row becomes a chunk with embedded metadata, stored in a vector database for semantic retrieval. You query in natural language and get relevant rows back immediately, without downloading anything in full. **How indexing works** The p...

Anyone who struggled with silks/pole after a year, who stuck with it and is now good?

1h ago

Need some encouragement to keep going to classes. I am a pretty active person, go to gym, play sports/run pretty regularly but am easily the worst person in class many times that I go. Some days are good and im happy, many days where I feel embarrassed and want to cry. I do really enjoy the beautiful shapes that you can make and how my body feels afterwards but its mentally tough. Have no real dance or gymnastics background. On top of that, I plan on trying for a pregnancy next year and I wouls be out for a year and any progress ive made will be lost.

1h ago

Hi all, Im new to app development, i had a web “Saas” i thought would be a-lot better as an IOS app. Long story short ive converted it into a swift IOS app and it’s live. I have no “analytics” of users, or what they are doing on the app. All i can go on by is the App store connect & revenue cat stats. I know i need to put on my App what data i collect & im not sure how to go about it all. I see people using posthog? And have good ASO etc.. At the moment im just changing things blindly. Any tips into how i can collect usage data, active users, get insight into my app, get ASO keyword data / research. Or any tips to help me out i would appreciate. Thank you

Sewing machine motor gets very hot!!

1h ago

I have a Pfaff 130 that I picked up at the Habitat for Humanity Store. It had a brand new motor on it. I took it for a good professional cleaning and oiling. When I got it home, it sews well but I noticed that the motor got very hot while sewing. So hot that I stopped sewing with it. I know nothing about the motor, but the service technician didn't say anything about it being the wrong motor or anything. HELP! I want to love this machine, but not if I can't sew with it for fear of fire. Thanks

God hates Tomodachi life (and me)

1h ago

Dear penthouse forum, I can't believe it happened to me. Here I am, living in my sweet delusion that it's still 2020. Walking into a game store just full of hope that I'll be able to get Tomodachi life on release day. I mean, I did that with Animal Crossing and that was like... 2 years ago right? "Nuh uh" said God. Kicking me in the face. "You're old! Nobody buys physical games anymore grandpa". Well, I guess that's fine. I can be a grandpa in my early 20s. So I head to another store. "Nuh uh" "Nuh uh" "Nuh uh" The clerks are glaring at me as if I speak in tongues asking for this "tamagochi". You sell ...
