Hot People during the Holidays27m agoYou see it all the time...a hot couple with a puppy living it up. It can cause a depressed feeling knowing how limited some of us are in college with things unless we date older people. I too have been guilty of going out with MILFs. One of them took me a to restaurant once and started cutting my steak for me. I was looking at her wondering if she was going to give me a ride to my apartment (aka bachelor pad) and tuck me into bed. It's sad we can't have everything we want. I want to date someone who I'd be totally into like my ex. Tomorrow, I'm going to reflect and see where I went wrong this past year. NGL, UCLA is a great school for getting lots of steps in. During my time on the server, I was genuinely happy and I am grateful for the community. I am 21F, I am from Australia and I need someone to vent to about what I just experienced in a span of two days which is Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. I like singing, dancing, sports and fashion design. As a young 21 year old, I just need someone to vent to and yap away. I am so disappointed that people don’t care what they said, they only care about what they did for me like one good thing "Freeports are the greatest museums no one can see"30m agoIn Christopher Nolan’s movie Tenet, there are lots of ideas that seem so out-there and the product of a fecund imagination. Freeports are not one of them. Freeports are kinds of free trade zones found near shipping ports or airports. When goods arrive from abroad and are stored in freeports, they are exempt from tariffs because they are considered as being in transit, they are not technically within the United States. Demand for freeports has soared as ultra-high net worth individuals have cottoned on to the fact that they can use freeports as tax-free warehouses to store their most valuable goods such as art acquisitions. The president of the Louvre, Jean-Luc Martinez, has described them ... Hot People on Christmas31m agoYou see it all the time...a hot couple with a puppy living it up. Outdoor shelter34m agoHi guys so I have a question. Is an outdoor shelter ok for storing my AT this next summer outside. I live in Reno Nevada and for the wet winter it’s in a garage but an hour away. The summer here is exceptionally dry 5-15% RH but up to 105 degrees. I moved to a small place with a good side yard gated and safe but no garage. I am wondering if there some way to safely store it in the summer so I can ride it more in the summer and not have to drive far away…I’m willing to spend some money but I really would like to keep it protected. I appreciate any advice. Thawing duck35m agoHello community, I pulled a 5lbs store bought duck that was vacuum sealed from my deep freeze 4 days ago. On second day it was frozen solid, third day thighs were soft but ****** were somewhat frozen. Yesterday only had a little ice on the bottom but soft bird. Today I pulled it out of the packaging to brine it and leave it in the fridge overnight. Plan to cook it tomorrow. Being that a good portion of it was thawed 2 days ago, is it safe to push it to tomorrow to cook it? (Arguable 3 days) Thanks in advance! Advice on data pipeline35m agoHi folks, here is my situation: My company has few system (CRM, ERP, SharePoint) and we want to build up a dashboard (no need real time atm) but we can not directly access databases, the only way to get data is via API polling. So I have sketch this pipeline but I'm quite new and not sure this work good, anyone can give me some advice? thank very much! \-- I'm plan to using few lambda worker to polling apis from systems, our dataset is not too large and complex so I wanna my lambda worker do extract, transform, load on it. After transform data, worker will store data inside S3 bucket then after that using some service (maybe AWS Athena) to stream it to Power BI. \-- ht... We’re building AI agents wrong, and enterprises are paying for it36m agoI’ve been thinking a lot about why so many “***AI agent***” initiatives stall after a few demos. On paper, everything looks impressive: * Multi-agent workflows * Tool calling * RAG pipelines * Autonomous loops But in production? Most of these systems either: * **Behave like brittle workflow bots, or** * **Turn into expensive research toys no one trusts** The core problem isn’t the model. It’s *how we think about context and reasoning.* Most teams are still stuck in **prompt engineering mode,** treating agents as smarter chatbots that just need better instructions. That works for demos, but breaks down the moment you introduce: * Long-lived tasks * Ambiguous data * Real bu... Revised and Expanded after Feedback and Questions: Original Idea for a Player Choice that Is Morally Grey... No Clear Ri...40m agoI’m developing a campaign setting centered on a world being torn apart by war, tyranny, an existential conflict between the new gods and the faint divinities trying to resurrect the Forgotten Gods, and, most importantly, an ecological collapse! I want to present my players with a dilemma inspired by the morally grey choices of *The Witcher 3* where players will often have to choose between two sides where it is not readily apparent who is in the right and who is in the wrong. Typically, they will have to make trade-offs and learn that sometimes simply being a brave hero is not enough in a world filled with complexities, complications, and nuances. However, if the PCs are ingenious enough,... Celebrating small wins and figuring out what comes next.40m agoHi everyone! 2.5 weeks ago I decided to finally make some long overdue changes. I started a “challenge” for myself where I started with 5 small changes and then implement two new habits each week. For the last 17 days I’ve eaten under 1800 calories, eaten 2 fruits and 2 vegetables each day, drank 100 oz of water, gotten back into my skincare routine, play sports with my 5 year old son every day. And this week I’ve implemented a daily 15 min Grow with Jo exercise video. I have about 40 lbs I’d like to lose. I’m down 3lbs! Turning to this community for a couple things. 1. Support and celebration. Other than my son and my mom, I haven’t shared these changes with anyone. ... Anyone from Australia help me44m agoAnyone know a store in Australia that sells a bootleg graduation vinyl for a good price Did something I really regret, put hands on my mother46m agoDuring the first couple years of my life (6-10 ish) my mom was babysitting this down syndrome girl, who at one point people start believing was her daughter. I was really upset as she would always get attention, love, my favourite clothes, everything- but me? I got love, but never the same, never as much as I’ve seen my mom love other people’s kids. As a kid, I would rarely be allowed to go play with my friends, and I get it, im a baby, and you’re scared. We used to live in buildings, and they’d all have one big lawn in the front where my friends would play, never was I allowed to go, and of course no one could take me. Now, being brown means being forced into things like kumon, ... Looking for a weekend hands-on hobby class to learn a new skill49m agoin 2026, I want to pick up a new hands-on skill. Anything like woodworking, pottery, car mechanics, a sport etc... I’ve been working a 9–5 office job for years and I’m craving something different: learning practical skills, getting out of the routine, and meeting new people. I’d prefer something structured - like a course or recurring classes with an instructor and a group. Ideally it would be on weekends since I’m working during the week. Any recommendations for good places/programs to start in Vancouver? Free or cheap furniture55m agoHey neighbors, I just moved in to my own apartment and I don't have **** for furniture besides a bed. I need a couch and some bookshelves and such. I'm not finding much as far as the goodwills and savers, anybody have any hot tips for where I can find good cheap stuff? Antique stores are too expensive for me and I don't want a cheap particle board thing from Walmart. My family used to shop at the re-store for furniture as a kid but I'm not seeing those around now and I figure that market had to go somewhere. Thanks for your ideas! Be Prepared for Holiday Triggers56m ago"HOLIDAYS" BY JOEL SPITZER Once again, the holiday season is upon us. The snow on the ground, the chill in the air, crowded stores, people hurrying to and from, family get togethers, television specials, and the sound of Christmas carols everywhere you go. All this hustle and bustle affects everyone, although not always in the same way. Some people find this a happy, exciting time of the year, while others feel the sense of loneliness and depression more now than at any other time. While the holidays may make some people happy and others sad, there is one special group of people who are universally affected the same way. The group, recent ex-smokers, the effect–desiring a cigare... Journey with ski boot pain56m agoHope this helps someone with ski boot pain. BLUF: Ski boot **pain/burning along balls of foot** can be from being on the front part of foot too much while skiing. Possible culprits: *Ankle flexion limited and/ or spoiler is taking up too much of your ankle flexion range. *Too stiff a boot leads to forward pressure being created by leaning onto the balls of your feet, rather than from flexing the boot. **Instep pain** - one option that can help if you have strong feet - ski without insoles or with very thin insoles. Story: I’m 49 yo M, 160#, 5’8”. Now an intermediate/ advanced skier. High arch, high instep, narrow heel/ ankle. Somewhat wide forefoot. Skied occasionally for the ... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
