I’m a casual shopper at Target and occasionally I buy the Target brand items, but over the years have noticed name switches to items that have stayed the same. For example: Good and Gather used to be Market Pantry and before that it was something else. I’ve noticed there’s around maybe 5-10 different clothing brands that are theirs and it seems like a lot especially when a store like Costco keeps everything under its Kirkland brand including clothes and food. Is this a business strategy by Target that only business people would understand or is it something different?
