It is the Duty of the Working Class to understand the economy, for not understanding it is a failure for those who wish ...2h agoAs someone who works in finance and is a policy wonk, How many socialists actually study finance and economics? I feel like anytime I look for education data, it’s presented by right-wing conservatives, when realistically, many of the things we want to do can be achieved via levers in the market and building that working class up. We discuss government actions, but not market actions. The people still have the power to do good, and more than just boycotting a store or something; I’m referring to Financial Wellness, Credit Unions, Pushing for Public Banking, and creating community sovereignty wealth trust funds. Sephora rant!!2h agoYk what is irritating? When you walk into a sephora store and the people who work there keep buzzing around you. Its so annoying. Like, if I want your help, I will ask for it. Why keep following me around like a bee? Do they think we will rob some Fenty Beauty Gloss from them? And tbh, this is not just Sephora, its also those Nykaa stores, and other well known makeup stores. Like bro, let me see stuffs in peace, and when I wanna buy anything I'll let you know. Goodness!. Christmas 20262h agoI know, I know, it's only April... but was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? My manager has gone and booked off every Xmas/NY shift (if affected) using our holiday allowance. They have done this for every driver in our Dotcom department without even asking first. I queryed him on this and he said that we have to use holiday and there was no alternative. This is despite last Christmas him trying the same tactic which eventually led us to getting the union involved and were told we can take it unpaid if we wanted to. So my thinking is he has just done this super early to avoid this whole argument again... I have 18hours of my holiday tied up in this now and ... Spirit of the 60s - 1000 pieces (Gibson's Games)2h agoA nice bit of 1960s nostalgia from the Robert Opie Collection. The Search for the Best IPTV Service is Over: My Comprehensive Review After 6 Months of Stress Testing (UK, USA, CA, Eur...2h agoHi everyone, Like many of you browsing this sub, I have been on an endless hunt for the Best IPTV Service that actually delivers on its promises. I’ve been “burned” more times than I can count—buying 12-month subscriptions that work perfectly for a week, only to start buffering endlessly or disappear completely after a month. With the major shutdowns happening in late 2025, finding a reliable provider has become harder than ever. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Over the last 6 months, I have tested over 20 different “private” and public IPTV providers. I tested them during high-traffic events (Premier League, NFL Super Bowl, UFC PPVs) to see which ones would c... UV fading2h agoHas anyone found a good solution to prevent sun fading of your beard ? I've gone as far as to spray a sports type sunscreen on my face to help prevent fading. As an avid golfer my beard gets exposed to sun at the the worst times of the day and it goes from a salt and pepper to a full Santa Claus white very quickly. I'd really like to prevent this with something that works and doesn't damage an 8 inch plus beard. I am so tired...2h agoI have bought and returned (and in some cases just had eat the loss) five different shoes in the last couple of months. And even before that, I've made horrible purchases. I managed to find a couple of Asics that worked decent but took a while to get comfortable with. I bought a couple of winter shoes this winter that, while stylish, are so flat I can barely walk a couple of meters before they start to hurt. SOMETHING I WASN'T ABLE TO NOTICE WHILE TRYING THEM IN THE STORE. Now I've been wanting to walk long distances. I wanna hike trails that are miles and miles long. And so I need good shoes. Not just for that, but for my every day life. BUT EVERY PAIR COMES WITH PAIN. First... Bunn ultra22h agoJust curious on your thoughts on this bunn2 ultra. I haven’t cross posted before so I’m not sure if I need to fill it out again. Long story short. Got a free bunn ultra 2. Works great but heavy and hard to store. Keep or sell and get a good quality home unit? If so which one? Thanks! Finally an app where people just talk instead of interrogating you (My experience with Sequel)2h agoI don’t have patience for this anymore. I went on a date with this guy last week from a mainstream app and he was literally interrogating me. I understand wanting to learn about the person but come on it was exactly like being questioned at a job interview. He even sounded judgey about my field of work (I’m a store manager, not like this matters). This happened with so many matches, it feels like they are just checking off a looking for a wife grocery list. I’m open to a LTR, but I want to have a bit more fun, actually converse with the person first and see where it goes. I don’t believe in shopping for a spouse. I'm introverted so going on dates is already a bit draining for me... Nick Reynolds, **** Smothers, Katie Owens (Murdock). I wanted something reliable and well reviewed. But when I checked the coats I felt disappointed. Some had no reviews. Some looked good but felt weak. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently. Then I visited another shop in the same area. Some coats looked better but review details were missing. Some were affordable but not durable. Some seemed perfect at first but quality felt doubtful. I remembered I bought a coat before that had no real feedback. That made me hesitate even more. To check more variety and options while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba I found many coats. Some had strong custo... Fragrant AND Affordable Rice in Toronto, Canada2h agoHello! I'm looking for a balance of good quality (ie. fragrant) but affordable brands/stores for basmati and jasmine. I'm tired of randomly selecting rice from the grocery store and finding it bland, or trying to compare costs across the many brands, stores, sizes, and types, so I thought I'd ask in case anyone has already done the work/research to find reliably tasty and affordable stuff : > I'm also really trying to avoid spending $12 for a tiny bag at Farm Boy or whatever. I'd love recommendations for both specific basmati and jasmine rice brands, and if you have a store recommendation too, that would be great! If anyone has seen Wehani rice (Califo... 34 M UK - professor almost done for the summer. Come and chat.2h agoHey there, I’m a professor in the UK, work is winding down to the summer with only a handful of days left before I can have some time off. It’s mostly been a case of marking, admin, and setting up the new term of teaching. So as things wind down I’m looking to find some good conversations to keep the days ticking along and busy. I love to travel, love sports of all kinds, an I’m trying to get back into my reading again so always happy to hear about new books. How much can training actually improve sprinting? How much do genetics count?2h agoI am a 23 years old male and have been in track for the past 7 years. I love the sport, but it is becoming really frustrating, so I have been thinking about quitting. My past years haven't always been consistent training or really specific speed training (because of injuries, different coaches and just life), but I have had a few really consistent training years (about 3 quality training days a week for most weeks), including this one. My PR in the 100m is about 12.2s and my first ever 100m was about a 13.6s. I recently ran a 12.3s 100m and a 25.5s 200m (which was a PR, but I never really raced 200m). In training I consistently run 11.7s, and this year even a 11.35s. I know training ... I need help and I have no one to talk to.2h agoI haven’t ever spoken to anyone about this. I feel like I’m in an abusive relationship. We’ve been together for 9 years. The first 5 years were great (2 of those we were already living together). during year 6, we had just comeback from going out and he had fall asleep. Something in me told me to check his phone. I caught him with saved picture of other women in his phone, secret account on twitter and instagram. I was so upset. I brought it up to him and he was upset that I went through his phone. But, the ***** that I am I stayed we worked through it. Or so I thought. I’ve caught him a few more times again, and this time he’s messaging AI girlfriends. I just don’t understand. I... Moisture issues.2h ago6 months old gshock solar. Have taken back to the store who has sent it back to the supplier for warranty assessment. Should I be worried that this is a common occurrence? I mean, it has been happening daily. I'm a linesman who works out on the weather and this watch was meant to be a good tough watch. Please take a look at my report2h agoRealised the way to attempt this at the last moment and want to know how I did and what I could improve for tomorrow (Sorry for my terrible writing) 97 C280 Sport - suspension questions2h agoJust picked this up. 60k miles. Summertime lake house car, apparently. I would like to get more resources specifically on the suspension for this car. I plan to refresh to stock “sport” specs (struts, bushings etc) but coming up short online. Most threads seem to be about the standard suspension. Can anyone point to any good information? Are there any affordable faux fur coats for men available online?2h agoI visited a clothing store two days ago to find faux fur coats. I wanted something stylish and affordable. But when I checked the coats I felt disappointed. Some were stylish but very expensive. Some were cheap but not good quality. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently. Then I visited another shop in the same area. Some coats looked better but prices were still high. Some were affordable but not warm enough. Some seemed perfect at first but fabric felt weak. I remembered I bought a coat before that was not worth the price. That made me hesitate even more. To check more variety and options while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba I found many faux fur coa... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
