I’ve been an Ace shopper my whole life. I love that Ace is a co-op, and that each store is a local business. I’ve also always found them to provide very good value, comparable to the big box hardware stores. The last few times I’ve gone though I’ve felt like I’m being price gouged: a pipe fitting for $8.99 vs Home Depot’s $3.69, moving boxes for 6.99 a piece vs $1.79 for the same sized box at Walmart, and several similar situations. I don’t expect a local hardware store, even one that’s part of a big successful purchasing co-op to meet the same price as the big box competitors , or really even be close, and I’m willing to pay that premium for the convenience and supporting ...

When I came back to pick up the car, the employee told me they had to remove the tire to inspect it. Then he said the tech “accidentally thought it was trash” and threw it away. They now say the only option is to buy a brand-new tire from them because they can’t “undo the mistake.” I asked if they could at least discount it or replace it at their cost, since they’re the ones who discarded it without my permission. I really don't like to support Hobby Lobby, Michael's etc. so no need to recommend those. I have some local stores but none that seem to have good selections of things like flocking and birch seeds. I scratchbuild (no 3d printing) wargaming terrain for DnD and Mordheim, so I'm focused on anything useful for that style, but open to anything yall recommend. Thank you!

The light birch decision shrug is so much more yellow than my soloist top. The undertone really doesn't look good on me so I went to the store to exchange it today and they told me they don't do returns or exchanges at all on Black Friday so I just wasted a whole trip into town.
