am i overreacting? 84th day of cycle and no period

1h ago

84th day of cycle no period! 48 days late Hi this is my first post here, but I've been really anxious and needed to ask around for advice. I had protected sex around october 15th, to my knowledge the condom did not break or slip out. i then proceeded to get my period the following week. That was my last period, and now it has been 48 days or more since when I was supposed to get my period. For some background, i did travel this cycle, but not in different timezones, within my country. I also did gain about 3 kilos, which is not what normally happens. I also have semi been diagnosed with PCOD, but have not undertaken any special treatment for it yet. I took about three pregnancy t...

About AI

4h ago

Hi Pitt crew I wanted to make a post because I have seen a lot of discussion about AI scribes in the sub given it's most recent appearance in the show. I think there's a lot of misperceptions about it, so I'd like to provide a nuanced outlook from a real life (not ER, but chart heavy) physician. Before I discuss, I think we should acknowledge the show has intentionally paired AI with a character it is currently making intentionally unlikable/abrasive. I would like to ignore the characters here, or where the show may go, and discuss what it's reflecting IRL. **How does it work:** AI scribe is very similar IRL to what we see on the show. It records real time, on a pers...

Fin rot, but I don't have any product.

4h ago

Hello, I was given a young Betta with an empty aquarium. He has fin rot (on his tail). I've been doing very frequent water changes (using the same bottled water I use for my other Bettas, who are doing very well) and adding vitamins, but I feel like it's getting worse, and since he's not very big, it's starting to worry me. The problem is that I threw away the treatment I used last year (it expired), and there aren't any pet stores nearby to buy more... Do you think there's anything I could find at a pharmacy for him? I'll try to take a picture tomorrow (it's dark where I live, the fish are asleep). Thanks in advance

Best place to start out as a pharmacy technician trainee?

4h ago

I got laid off in December and have been thinking of going into pharmacy tech. I have no schooling or experience, so I’m wondering what places do fellow pharmacy technicians recommend for starting out? Giant Eagle, Costco (I applied to one), CVS, Walgreens, etc

shift supervisor

5h ago

okay, i need help. i'm a store associate and there is a shift supervisor at my store who is significantly older than me. my manager put me in charge of doing product withdrawals when i am not ringing customers out tonight. i stayed up front while the supervisor did pharmacy and front store drawers, and the deposit. on two occasions, customers had to go to the pharmacy while it was open to get an associate to the front. one of these occasions happened while i was in the back stacking totes up, and the supervisor walked in and started to walk out the back door to do trash. when the pharmacy called someone to the front, the supervisor told me that what they were doing was more important th...

Bottle redemption success?

5h ago

I asked a store manager today if I could return some soda bottles since they charged a bottle deposit. He said yes it's a law in the state but we don't take them back. I tried to return them to about 4 other grocery stores or liquor stores but no dice. I purchased them at CVS back in the fall and they were on clearance. Has anyone experienced this and got their money back? I am at a loss and will maybe just call the 800 cvs number.

todays purchases

stolen valor, i know. there's already someone posting sour patch kids n ****. you know who I'm talking about. went out today. there was a lot of snow and ice, somewhere around -13°. i seriously need to invest in a balaclava or something, my nose actually hurt from the cold. i went to a pharmacy and bought some syringes, bandages and alcohol. everything in that one pharmacy is slightly overpriced but it's the only one of many drug stores nearby selling 1ml syringes. i found where sour patch kids are sold too, and there also was Dr Pepper for cheap. ******* love Dr Pepper.

Tips on getting a job

6h ago

I passed my ptcb exam in Dec and just got my state license. I’ve applied to grocery store pharmacies, and need advice on how to get an interview and secure a job asap. Ps: I really don’t want to work at Walgreens lol.

Dearest Pharmacy Customers:

Welcome to January! The month of tidal changes, the month of arguments and the month of being spicy! For those who do not understand your question insurance let’s break it down a some: 1. If you , your spouse, SO had open enrollment in October or November of last year this means on January 1st (15 days ago) your insurance deductible reset to $0 used (unless you had a major medical event with in the last 15 days). With your deductible reset you WILL more than likely have copays on your medications. You can argue you paid nothing last year. You will have no copays when your deductible is met. 2. Insurance companies will reformulate them medications. They move certain drugs to diffe...

Fitting in is so hard for me.

8h ago

Why does everything have to feel so hard all the time? I don't feel like I fit in anywhere. I take things too personally most of the time. I basically stopped working at 21. I felt since August 2025 I needed to be back out in the workforce (was feeling rather worthless when it came to finances) I'm on my second job since that time. I quit the first job due to being scheduled 16 hrs a week then having 8 of those hours ripped from me due the store being over hours. Kinda defeated the purpose of being out working when most of my scheduled days I was told not to come in. So I got another job making more money and having more consistent hours. The actual jobs are never the ...

Hi! I am looking for a roommate to move into the second bedroom in my apartment. The room has tons of natural light, access to a large rooftop with a view of the Manhattan skyline, 9ft ceilings, a personalized remote-controlled ac/heating unit, bedframe, and recessed lighting. The apartment: * Full kitchen, dining, and living space * Dishwasher * In-unit washer and dryer * High ceilings (\~9ft) throughout * Balcony * Wi-Fi * Water included * Stairs that separate living spaces and bedrooms = quieter * Tons of natural light The neighborhood * Residential community; surrounded by small apartment buildings and houses, so very quiet * \~5-10 minute walk from major grocery stores, coffee shops...

Rx & temperature

8h ago

I just received my first prescription of T cream from MIDI health. It says to store at room temperature. I made sure to be home when it was delivered, but I am afraid it sat on a cold truck all day, and probably longer on its journey to me in Virginia in January during a cold snap. Is it safe and effective to use? I am wondering if I can use another in-person compound pharmacy to avoid this next time. Not sure if Midi only has one pharmacy to use for T.

New to the Pharmacy

9h ago

*Not really a discussion, but asking for advice, and some venting* *Some background* I started working in a grocery store pharmacy roughly 7 weeks ago. I am just a pharmacy associate at this point. I am not certified in any way and most days I still feel like I'm missing soooo much. Training has been slow since we are always bombarded with patients. To make matters worse several months ago one of the main pharmacies closed all their stores in our area. (We are almost always behind in filling scripts...half the day I'm dealing with disgruntled individuals who called in their medications 2 days ago and they still aren't ready) So I guess you could say it just makes an ...

So happy cvs has them now!!

9h ago

I knew there was a february seasonal collection, but I did not expect them to look at this cute in person.🥹😍 I’m so happy to see them arriving at more and more bigger stores like CVS though. part of me isn’t lol cause I want us to have them to ourselves or they might become the next labubu lol. but I love them so much. The pink and hearts really are so appealing in person. They pulled me in. 😚😊

FEPBlue Basic and MPDP and Wegovy

9h ago

Figured I should share this. FEP Blue has 2 formularies for each of their 3 levels/plans. The commercial formulary and the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan formulary. MPDP is an option if you are on Medicare. Medicare will not cover weight loss by statute, but BCBS has an enhanced formulary for the MPDP plans. Wegovy is tier 2 weight loss approved drug on that plan, with a PA and a $45 cost. What isn't said is that it's not covered under Part D, automatic denial by CVS Caremark but it's covered under Medicare Part B, and gets "approved" under that. In fact, while you would think that you'd contact the PMB, CVS Caremark as they administer the prescription plans...

Better Pharmacies

Anyone know of any better retail Pharmacys than CVS? My experience here has been pretty tough. I don’t enjoy this place and I’m just wondering what pharmacies are better to work at. TIA.

People calling for pharmacy

10h ago

About 90% of my calls daily are asking to be transferred to the pharmacy. I always decline because I was told they took away the ability to be transferred from front store? I'm also not transferring someone who's not even going to attempt to leave a voicemail. How do you deal with these people? Is it really that hard to go through the system to leave a voicemail like they say it is??
