Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the CVS Pharmacy Latest Community Discussions About CVS PharmacyYou guys are missed.2h agoI (currently) work at the ..other pharmacy chain. Your customers speak highly of Rite Aid. I know. It is true. My mother used to useRite Aid for years and really downtrodden when it all closed down. I told her in the past to never make the switch to (my job). When it would be my day off--I would go to Rite Aid to shop. I can still memorize the floor plan. Ive been working for the other \*competitor \* name for many-many years. And I still think RA was really one of the best ones. My mom uses an independent rx now. She is thankful for other places. She isn't complaining but she does mention how much she misses RA. Maybe I've got rose tinted glasses on--whateber the case, the ... pharmacy techs that have passed the national exam pls comment study hacks3h agoi live in ny and have worked for cvs since february. i move to oregon in september and need to pass an exam to work as a pharmacy tech there. please please help me Starting my first terrarium any tips?3h agoI want to start my first terrarium and I need some help starting out I have a 4.5x4.5x4 inch jar I want to start with a bioactive terrarium but I don’t know the difference I have drainage gravel but I will post what I’m trying to get for this and need help with plants I could put in also need light recommendations Inconsistency from Gimme and "28 week rule"4h agoI had a great experience with Gimme as someone new to GLPs. Finally took the plunge in for myself and got setup with Gimme in March after my wife had been on a GLP from another provider for several months with good results. Gimme sent me 3 months as 3 vials and a week later announced a 6 month option when BPI was ceasing production. They let me get another 3 months worth and again shipped 3 vials. Good service. So my wife's provide was substantially more expensive plus expensive monthly Telehealth visits on top. We switched her to Gimme between my first 3 month order and my second. She did the 6 month BPI option. Her Gimme provider ordered her 5 vials to cover 6 months, as we r... Lemonade 👏👏👏 crunchy ice👏👏👏4h ago((Please excuse my penmanship)) Story time! I used to be a barista in a corporate store. And I had about 4.5 years experience. I left in July to do a six week, full time, unpaid externship for a Pharmacy Tech trade school to qualify graduating from the program. I moved with my fiance in October after graduating, and struggled finding a job for a few months. I was able to get hired in February into a licensed Starbucks kiosk inside of an Albertsons Affiliated grocery store. And now I have my foot in the door to cross train into the pharmacy and FINALLY work on my personal career building. It’s been a long, rocky, stressful journey but the kiosk is so much easier and less stressful t... Gap year or no gap year?5h agoI feel like this is going to sound more like a rant/vent than asking a question, but I need some thoughts and opinions to see this better. I'm graduating with my bachelors spring 2027, and it wasn't even until earlier this year that I realized they canceled the PCAT (honestly, I was too overwhelmed with trying to transfer out of my community college because my counselors gave me conflicting information on my timeline, which ended up with me transferring kinda by accident, too long of a story to describe here). My top choice is UCSF, mainly because I grew up in sf and moved away, but still a pretty good commutable distance. And they're the only pharmacy school in my area tha... Changing Access Points recommended5h agoMake AP selection a customer option. Have them pick one AP anywhere in the same territory their servicing facility covers as a default. Allow them to change it for any package they have a slip for if they scan their QR code before it gets sent to their chosen default before it gets reloaded on PC the next day. Make sure if they choose a facility that won't AP alcohol that they choose a 2nd that does store alcohol. I was told by customer that CVS won't store wine or spirits due to their own legal terms snd conditions, idk if that's universal or just a local one here, but that's an issue. I have tried delivering AP customers that my Diad won't allow me to select AP be... Built a pill counter app on the side, not sure if it's actually useful for techs?6h agoHey all, I previously made an image based app to help the harm reduction community, turns out the ai model learned to count pills very accurately. I made an app that can 500 ish pills in 3 seconds based on camera. Its highly accurate in various lighting, multiples shapes, gel caps etc. Some people started using it to count their prescriptions at home as its all free, and I thought it might be useful for pharmacies Issue is I'm not sure where it fits. From outside it looks like C2 Keep handles compliance and audit, PioneerRx does dispensing, Eyecon is the big counter if your store has the budget for it. So a phone app, what's left for it to actually do ? I can scan the codes of... "Worked" 3 hours and...7h agoToday (day before Memorial Day) was my first day trying Instacart. I already had the essentials (car, hand wagon, insulated bags), and I have 3 extremely busy grocery-centric shopping centers in my general area. I figured I would make a reasonable amount of money considering everyone is grocery shopping for Memorial Day dinners. Turns out, in order to pick up batches with refrigerated/frozen items, you have to get your insulated bags verified first. But to get your insulated bags verified, you have to do one batch in general. But to do a batch in general, that means you have to pick up a batch that doesn't have perishable groceries, and those batches are open to people who are insu... Summary of second month of HRT8h agoHi, I had decided to share my journal from the second month of hormone therapy - a follow up to [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/MtF/comments/1srwwi8/summary_of_first_month_of_hrt). It's a little long. Like in my previous post I would like to disclose that I had used AI to translate my og journal in my native language to English. Enjoy the read, I hope that it will make someone life a little better. # Second Month of Hormone Therapy I feel the need to change the format of this journal -- the last entry was very "clinical" and one-dimensional. This time I'll divide the entry into three parts -- physical changes that are evidently grounded in the therapy I'm unde... Tips and tricks8h agoJust got back from Iceland (May 17 to May 23) and figured I’d throw out some random observations from a first-time visitor from the US to Iceland. If you’re already thinking, “Oh no, not another Iceland trip report,” feel free to keep scrolling. Reading other people’s recent experiences helped me while planning, so maybe this will help someone else. This was only a six-day trip, and I wasn’t interested in spending all day in the car, so we stayed mostly in the south. I travel a lot for work and have accumulated an embarrassing number of Marriott points, so we used some of those along the way. We spent the first couple of nights at the ION Adventure Hotel and really enjoyed it. ... Don't Look at the Leaves in Litchford [Part 2/2]10h ago[Part 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/horrorstories/comments/1tlvtga/dont_look_at_the_leaves_in_litchford_part_12/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) Over the next year Heston ingratiated himself into our circle. And not just our circle — practically all of Litchford knew him. He even started performing at some of the festivals, not as *Victor Veil* but as himself. He kept *Victor* separate. An online phenomenon that he seemingly kept secret from almost everyone in town, despite how viral he had gone on several recent occasions. Our group knew though, as did everyone at the community theatre. It was like th... New Grad Looking for Blister Pack Organization Tips11h agoHello all, looking for some insight into how other stores track and organize blister packing. I recently took over the process for the pharmacy I started at as a new grad pharmacist this Fall. We use a CPAK centralized blister packing service and run a batch of about 25 patients weekly. Each week I am responsible for verifying and sending off the order, as well as checking the completed blister packs when they arrive. The system that my store has been using for organizing blister packs is largely paper based and I feel like it presents room for error. Each patient has a page in a binder that has their current blister pack grid as well as any notes about billing specifics, delivery instruct... Maintaining Prescription While Travelling12h agoHello - I'm fairly newly diagnosed with ADHD and have never used prescriptions before other than one time antibiotics so forgive my ignorance ahead of time with these topics or if I butcher any related terminology. I travel full time for work which can take to any of the 50 US States for 1-3 month stints, sometime longer. I was in my home state (FL) for awhile recently where I was seeing psychiatrists and exploring options for my focus issues. After a few visits I was given a dx of ADHD and tried a nonstimulant (Straterra/Atomoxetine) for awhile which just made me feel like I was narcoleptic. He then wanted me to try low dose Vyvanse next. However, at this time I was about to leave... RE: Dev Bias - Understanding Explicit and Implicit Bias12h agoIn response to [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/1tmhinr/max_response_to_dev_bias/) and specifically Max's response, I wanted to take a minute to underscore the differences between explicit and implicit bias and give some real world examples. I'll start out by saying that I am a 15 year healthcare veteran. I have been in management/leadership positions in healthcare since 2019, and managing pharmacies in the retail (community), specialty and compounding settings. In healthcare, implicit bias training became a larger thing in the late 2010s. While I'm far from an expert on the subject, it is something that I have been conscious of for the better part of... My table's current homebrew13h agoHiya chooms. We have revised our homebrew list to be more reflective of the content R. Tal has released. Please enjoy and feel free to use it as you see fit. # FABRICATIONS: # CYBERWARE: # Arms of Steel “Tackle the QB in that flag football game, Be a man.” 3,000 (V. Expensive) EB. Hospital. 4D6. Paired Cyberarms. They must be installed together and count as a single item for the purposes of cost and humanity loss, but not for critical injuries or repair. Each Cyberarm has 4 option slots for Cyberarm or Cyberlimb options. Each comes pre-installed with a Reinforced Cyberlimb Upgrade (black chrome) that doesn’t cost any humanity loss or take up a Cyberarm option slot. The Reinforced ... In early covid i worked at a CVS pharmacy14h agoI believe pharmacy stores (CVS, walgreens etc) always bring in the kookiest people. I’ll always remember this one frail old lady who would come in right when we opened a bought a big box of Franzia white, then again at around 2/3pm, then finally 10 minutes before we closed. Thats 15Ls of wine in a >125lb woman. She was a cold ***** and would always **** up the card machine. The Covid test scalpers always looked like those guys in the videos scalping pokeman cards, big and schlebby and would always huff and puff when i pointed to the “3 COVID TESTS PER PERSON” sign My favorite was this white guy in his late 50’s who would just stand by the register while his mail order asian... New BMJ meta-analysis: calcium and vitamin D supplements don't prevent fractures (69 RCTs, 153K patients)15h agoI walked into our kitchen last week and saw a pink tub of Viactiv chews on the counter. My wife picked them up at the store. She wanted to do something for her bones, and calcium chews are the obvious move when that's the goal. The recommendation to take calcium and vitamin D for bones is not biohacker advice. It's straight mainstream medicine, the kind you hear from OB-GYNs and primary care doctors, and it's why every pharmacy aisle has a wall of these products. Then BMJ published [this systematic review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/42161415/) on May 20. 69 randomized trials, 153,902 patients, mostly community-dwelling adults at low fracture risk. The exact demographic t... PIO PSA - less discomfort by changing manufacturer and needle type15h agoThought this might be helpful for anyone else dealing with progesterone in oil. **TLDR: far fewer side effects/less discomfort using PIO manufactured by Hikma, instead of Eugia, and using needles from the brand Exelint, instead of UltiCare.** I noticed a significant difference in my response to PIO during my recent cycle compared to my experience during a transfer cycle in February. My recent injections were much more painful, I was markedly sorer and had a lot of bruising. It felt like I had done an intense glute workout, I was wincing when crossing my legs, and getting up and down really hurt. I couldn't believe how uncomfortable I was. It was driving me crazy that this experi... Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
