What my vacation to Southeast Asia taught me.

3h ago

Walking through Bangkok shopping districts during vacation, I was struck by how many skincare products dominated every pharmacy and convenience store. My travel companion, who’d been to Thailand multiple times, noticed my confusion. She explained that thailand whitening skin cream occupied massive shelf space, reflecting beauty standards completely opposite from Western tanning culture. The contrast fascinated me. Back home, people seek tanned skin through sun exposure or tanning products. Here, lighter skin tones were preferred, driving huge demand for whitening products. Neither standard was inherently right or wrong, just culturally different. This observation sparked deeper conversat...

TN lawmakers pass 'Fair Rx' Act, could result in numerous CVS pharmacy closures

SB 2040 is not fair to patients. It targets CVS and vertical integration, risking widespread pharmacy closures in Tennessee. Fewer pharmacies = harder access to medications and healthcare services.

recent medical treatment and history of medication forms help

3h ago

I have my hearing in a couple months, and I have these last few forms to fill out. One is HA-4631, Claimant's Recent Medical Treatment, and it's asking for any doctors I've seen in the last 6 months. Does this include Urgent Care for small things like catching the flu? Does it include doctors I've already given the information for a year ago? And where the **** would I actually find that info? I can't remember which doctors I've seen in the past three months, let alone 6, they just pile up and time is an enigma. Another is HA-4632, Claimant's Medications. They want the "date first prescribed." What if I've been taking a certain medication...

Is NZ Online Pharmacy legit?

I want to buy those buds, wanted to know what are y'all thoughts for people who have shopped through there?

Should I wait to buy a house or take this opportunity?

I graduated pharmacy school in May 2024, got licensed, and started working in September. I originally had about $130k in student loans and have paid it down to $62.1k so far. I also have $22,490 in car loans. Right now I work full-time in a community pharmacy doing about 1,400 scripts per week with solo coverage. I make a little over $133k/year. I didn’t take a $20k sign-on bonus when I started because it required a 2-year commitment in a rural area. During my first year, I didn’t contribute to my 401k since my company didn’t match until after a year. I’ve recently started and have about $8.7k in it now. I’m 29 and honestly feel a bit behind financially. There’s a new opportun...

Reminder: Do not use or ask about bots for Walmart spark

5h ago

With many zones switching to FCFS offers I've seen a lot of posts about bots and want to remind people that not only do we not allow them to be discussed here, they can result in your account being deactivated and you're putting a **** of a lot of trust in somebody with questionable ethics, usually located outside the US so free from any legal jurisdiction, and what you gain in the short term is nothing compared to the long term losses. Even if spark goes 100% FCFS you can probably still snag an extra $20-$30/day without extra effort by going online early or during peak order hours. That's an extra $600-$900/month in your pocket, more than most people would get by asking for...

The Best Catholic Miracle Apologist on the Internet Reasons Like a Conspiracy Theorist

7h ago

**Excerpts from the article:** There is a Substack called[ Motiva Credibilitatis](https://motivacredibilitatis.substack.com/) run by a guy named Ethan Muse. His project is to survey the evidence for Catholic miracles with enough scientific rigor to “persuade those that are strongly predisposed towards skepticism.” He writes thousands of carefully sourced words about Eucharistic tissue samples, solar anomalies, and a Capuchin friar whose body temperature allegedly broke thermometers. He cites primary sources. He engages with counterarguments. He numbers his footnotes. He is, by a wide margin, the most intellectually serious miracle apologist on the internet. He is also, in a very prec...

UPS access point issue?

7h ago

hello, I sold an item from UK to USA, and used UPS express service with signature required. The package was delivered to a local UPS access point (CVS store) since buyer was not available. a few days later buyer messaged me by saying that he went there but the store cannot find the package, so he wants refund. I checked the UPS tracking info and it still says "waiting for pick up", I am not sure whether buyer is telling lie or not. but is there anyone has the similar experience? thanks

Getting injection supplies online

9h ago

Hey! I have my T prescription on the way from Imago currently, yay! However I was wondering about the injection supplies. I have heard that some people have had problems getting them from pharmacies even with the prescription. So I was thinking of buying them in bulk online, since it would be cheaper long term anyway. For reference I'm in Finland and would like to buy them from Europe. So does anyone have an online store to recommend inside EU? Any help would be appreciated! Also I'm not 100% sure about the sizes, I'm doing sustanon 250 IM injections, I was thinking of like 2ml syringe & 21-23g needles, does that sound about correct?

conversation with store manager made me think. advice?

10h ago

As the title says i’m starting to question myself and wondering if i should even try to stay longer at the job i currently work. I work in a retail pharmacy which i only applied there to have some experience as a tech so i could go to a hospital or maybe wait till a hospital pharmacy position opened or a position in a pharmacy that’s not owned by a corporation. To add, i haven’t even made it in the pharmacy yet and im just working up front with a team that doesn’t seem to like me but appears a bit fake or maybe im misunderstanding the vibe. When i first got hired, i was very honest with my store manager that i would greatly appreciate communication and feedback. Which my store manag...

3 months passed since I posted here. I got valuable feedback from you and implemented many features asked. **A short update of what was added to Rimata:** – **Almost 5000 Greek verbs** with all conjugations now (up from 3500 - still not enough for a verb freak :)). – **ALL verbs now have examples**, totaling number to almost 150.000. Except of course αβγοκόβομαι :-) I used AI to generate them but spent crazy amount of time to validate and clean them up. – I've added starring, history, stats, ability to print and share verb card, inflection types, syllabification info and smaller enhancements here and there. I updated many translations using reputable di...

Pharmacy stores

I need to buy a specific antibiotic but the local pharmacy doesn't have it. Which place is likely to have a bigger pharmacy store? The drug is Diloxanide furoate btw, if there's any doctor here, can you let me know if there's any alternative available for that in our city?
