Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the CVS Pharmacy Latest Community Discussions About CVS PharmacyThe stuff nobody tells you about U.S. healthcare until you learn the hard way3h agoI wish someone sat me down years ago and explained how this system actually works, because most of what I know isn’t from reading articles, it’s a mix of my own experiences and watching friends, coworkers, and relatives get blindsided by bills that made no sense. **First thing** “in-network” **doesn’t** mean **cheap**. It just means the provider has a contract that prevents them from billing you absolute nonsense, but you still pay full prices until your deductible is met, which can easily be thousands. I once learned the hard way that an in-network primary care visit was still $150 because it went toward the deductible, not the copay I assumed existed. And specialists? Sometimes... As a customer, what is going on with the pharmacy?5h agoUp until 2ish months ago, Walgreens was my go to pharmacy despite being out of network for my insurance. They knew me by name, filled things in a timely manner, etc. Now it is a certifiable disaster - regularly different locations will be “temporarily closed” for a day without notice. Today for example, I got to Walgreens for a medication that was supposed to be ready 3 days ago and it was still not ready (I knew from the app). I arrive to find an 8 car line in the drive through and a 12+ person line in store. I have great respect for pharmacists and the pharmacy techs so I’m confident this is a structural issue, not a talent issue. All that to say: what’s going on? Did the acqui... Count down has started… 😬😰5h agoI finally pulled the trigger and scheduled my PTCB exam. I haven’t told anyone yet besides my husband in fear that I fail and have to answer all of those questions “so how did you do” questions. Which would be a little added salt to an open wound if you ask me. I’d rather surprise them by saying I passed, then repeat over and over again that I failed. The pressure is officially on…. Considering A.) I had to pay out of pocket myself (maybe the only reason why I regret leaving CVS when I did, but who passes up a chance to get into hospital pharmacy to stay in retail.. clearly not I) B.) test is in a little over a month and lastly C.) if I fail I’m beyond screwed… license ex... Intermittent fasting: experiments with the Buddha5h agoAn age-old tool, now backed by science, for improving health and well-being. Giving food its due: eating to live, not living to eat. Three years ago I started exploring two things: gut health and good sleep. [(It turns out they're related](https://www.healthline.com/health/ibs/ibs-and-sleep#whats-the-link)) And then I stumbled upon the 3-2-1 rule: *3 hours before going to sleep, stop eating* *2 hours before, stop working* *One hour before, get away from artificial lights* Giving up food was difficult for me. I've noticed in myself, and it's a [very common experience](https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/why-stress-causes-people-to-overeat), that when I'm st... Given this with 30 mins left in shift5h agoNeedless to say it took me over an hour CVS Specialy Pharmacy- Skyrizzi6h agoI have been using skyrizzi for almost a year now. I have the copay card, which leaves me with a balance each shot to be about $5. My last fill however, they sent it, I took it, and then they billed me for over $2800. After multiple phone calls, I learned my copay card was exhausted. I don't have that kind of money for a prescription (or I wouldn't have the copay card), and am confused why they would ship it and then bill me 2 weeks later. Anything I can do about the bill? Target is giving $10 off $20 purchase coupons for getting vaccinations at thei in store CVS pharmacy6h agoI got 2 vaccines today at the CVS inside my local target and the pharmacist was kind enough to give me 2 coupons. So I went and got over $40 worth of groceries I had on my list and got $20 off the whole thing! (I did it in 2 batches, 1 for each coupon) So if anyone needs to update their vaccines, now would be a good time to get them and save some money on necessities. Just ask your target pharmacy if they offer the coupon first cause im not sure if this is a franchise-wide thing or not Running 3 registers by myself. Tired of it.6h agoMy pharmacy manager constantly has me running both checkout registers and the drive through on my own. When we get rushes or im getting buried in customers and haven't been able to put meds on the shelf for an hour or more, I ask for help. Pharmacy Manager says no, and tells anyone who tries stepping away from production to get back to their station. Im supposed to be training to get my tech license. Im not learning anything being nothing but a cashier. Ive tried going to in store management, HR, employee relations, and the district manager. None of them care. Anything I should try? What is the Food and Consumables TL position like?6h agoI don't know if other stores are set up like this, but my Wal-Mart has 4 F&C TLs: -Grocery/Alcohol -Frozen/Dairy -Pets/Chemicals/Paper Goods/Infants -HBA/Cosmetics/Pharmacy I'm currently a second shift meat and produce associate and my coach approached me today and said the grocery spot was opening up and that he wants me to think about it while I'm off work tomorrow. The rec is officially opening in 2 days and then I can put in for it if I want to. I was a Stocking 2 TL several years ago but got diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and had to step down. My health has been much better for a couple years and I've been interested in moving back up. Just wanting som... Staff pharmacist in NYC6h agoI’m a new grad. I worked at Walgreens for two years as a pharmacy intern, and I left when I started my APPEs. I haven’t worked for about six months after graduation due to family circumstances. I’m now applying to CVS positions in NYC (Manhattan and Brooklyn), where the salary range is $60–$74 per hour. Would it be reasonable to ask for $65 per hour or I can ask for more? Looking for options...like everyone else7h agoI've been on Wegovy for a bit and it's working with very little in the way of side effects. Even better, my wife decided to join me in this little venture and she's on her third dose of 0.25, courtesy of a sample month from our doc. Our insurance required us to do the CVS Weight Loss plan, so she tried to sign up and get all that done today. Well, here's the ****** part: seems that as of January 1st, our insurance is doing "something" with Wegovy. All we know for sure is that it's full price at the pharmacy and that she can't sign up for the app. I'm guessing it won't be covered any longer. Any suggestions? We ain't rich and there'... At close: $AVGO To generate heatmaps like this checkout https://unusualwhales.com/heatmaps7h agoTypical?7h agoMy friend works for CVS and their store runs on skeleton crew essentially. Is this normal? They get "left alone" for a few hours due to call outs. Yes the pharmacy is there but no one on the floor besides themselves as a manager. Is this safe? Prob not? Is the total career pivot making me radioactive to hiring managers?7h agoI’m 27 and have spent almost my entire adult life in the car business (sales → internet manager). Good money, but I’m completely burned out and my real goal has always been pharmacy. I’m finishing the last of my pre-pharm pre-reqs and plan to apply to PharmD programs next year for the 2027 classes. In the meantime I want to get out of car sales, make decent money, and actually get some real pharmacy experience on my applications. I do NOT have my pharmacy technician license, but I’ve been applying anyway to every tech/trainee/tech-in-training posting I can find at CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Walmart, hospitals, independents, etc. — probably 70–80 applications in the last 6–7 week...
