The smoke n' jack shack?😆

I recreated Day Out with Thomas for FREE! Let me explain. (REVISED)

1h ago

So I was out walking earlier today (at the time I’m making this post) and I finally found a railroad crossing (the second image is the railroad crossing I found). I wanna try and make a railfanning video but I have no idea when a train is coming. I was a bit new at railfan videos, but nonetheless I was curious and adventurous. I was standing a few feet behind the crossing gates, and was at the more open side so I could get a good look at a train as it passed. It just looked a little quiet and awkward just me standing there in the middle of a somewhat busy highway haha. At least the hangout spot I’m at near the railroad crossing feels just right for me imo and I don’t know why haha I ...

Vasco da Gama’s Sea Route to India – Learn Portuguese & Dive into History

1h ago

There's a moment in Portuguese history so dramatic it almost feels invented. A small fleet of wooden ships, battered by months at sea, finally rounding the Cape of Good Hope and pushing northeast toward India. The year was 1498. The man was Vasco da Gama. And the language spoken on those decks was European Portuguese — the same language you'll hear in Lisbon today if you stop for a *bica* and a *pastel de nata*. This stuff matters more than it sounds, especially if you're learning Portuguese as an expat or someone planning a move here. **Why History and Language Actually Go Together** Language doesn't exist in a vacuum. Portuguese has centuries of seafaring, empire, ...

Last shift

1h ago

Rph and I finished my final shift with CVS on Sunday (YAYYY!) without a tech lol. They called out and I couldn’t find coverage after checking with some other stores. It’s just…\*\*Chef’s kiss\*\* The most CVS thing ever. Pure poetry

Is it me or did the customer service quality at Wegmans went down?

2h ago

I frequent between two Wegmans (Eastway & Culver). I had great experiences back before covid. The customer service at both stores were top notch. Now for the past 18 months, I’d say customer service went down in both locations especially Eastway. Cashiers are almost always on their phone & some even refused to interact with you, service desk is **** near helpless, and pharmacy kinda took a hit too.

Where to buy zyns in the UK?

3h ago

I’m on a trip and I’m going to be in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London. Not really sure where to buy zyns and I’m from Canada where you can only get them at pharmacies. I saw online that you can buy them at normal grocery stores but stock might vary. Please lmk where would be best to go :)

Getting unjustly fired

4h ago

I think my boss plans on firing me. Backstory: I have been a shift lead for over two years with zero write ups. Zero disciplinary action on my part. I have never missed work. Go above and beyond, etc. We had an ESM in charge of the store until recently she was canned. Our “store manager” has been out of the picture for the entirety of the time we had an ESM basically since I started with this company 2 years ago the ESM ran front of store and the GM was basically what we would say “hiding out in and holding down the pharmacy side of the business” I mean she did absolutely NOTHING for front end employees. now, our district is also under going restructuring and our district manager was...

David’s Shield Review: I Used It for 21 Days (My Experience)

5h ago

There is a kind of fear that does not always announce itself loudly. It does not always come with sirens, breaking news banners, or dramatic warnings. Sometimes it shows up in much smaller ways. A power outage during a storm. A news report about cyberattacks. Empty shelves where you expected food to be. A feeling in your chest when your phone loses signal and, for a brief second, you realize how much of your life depends on systems you do not control. That fear gets even sharper when you think about the people who depend on you. It is one thing to worry about yourself. It is another thing entirely to imagine your family in a real crisis. No power. No working refrigerator. No running water...

35-40 yrs old workforce not to be seen anywhere

5h ago

Why is it that almost everywhere—McDonald’s, Starbucks, Walmart, gyms, retail stores, malls, gas stations, pharmacies, restaurants, and banks—the workforce seems dominated by people in their 20s or late 20’s while those aged 35–40 are rarely seen? Where has this middle-aged group disappeared to., I mean UBER drivers are middle aged, thats for sure - how about the rest

I sat with my discomfort and made progress!

5h ago

I drove to the store, the bank, and the pharmacy after meeting with my psychiatrist and managed to not say “green green green” as I went through green lights one time when I was going through a green light. I know it was only once but it felt like a win. My ocd has been so bad about driving that I’ve barely managed to drive anywhere except the short drive to work and back for about 2 months. I’m petrified I’ll accidentally run red lights or hit people or run over people.

No order labels for multi-shop items with the new system?

6h ago

Triple order, two normal shops and a single pharmacy for three different customers. I usually avoid the triple offers but $25 for less than 2 miles and 20 items on a slow day like today, I wasn’t passing it up. This store in my zone switched to this style a week or two ago. However after I picked up the pharmacy order, I went to start shopping and there was no “A” “B” or “C” label. I’m glad they were both small orders so at the review screen I was easily able to separate them…. But wth?

Comrad Ankle Compression Socks Review: Do They Actually Work?

7h ago

# Introduction Most people think compression socks are those ugly knee-high things your grandmother wears. I was skeptical too—until I started dealing with ankle swelling after long days standing on my feet, post-workout recovery, and air travel. The promise of compression socks for ankle swelling sounded nice in theory, but I wasn't about to start wearing medical-grade knee-highs under my shorts. That's when I found [Comrad](https://go.shopmy.us/p-48093759) ankle compression socks—and they've become part of my daily routine. I spent 30+ days testing them, washed them repeatedly, and wore them in different climates and situations. Here's my honest take on whether th...
