I went yesterday to job onboarding for my first job, as a pharmacist cashier. I went to do paperwork, I had to recreate a password for my company’s account. The original password was 12 letters long consisting (ex: ABdfgxbqgq253, idk if this is 12 letters but that’s how the password was) I took at least 7-8 times to type in the correct password (which I had to also retype if my new password didn’t meet the guidelines) and the create a new password that followed guidelines that the store manager had to point out that was right in front of me and I just didn’t read.I was nervous and my anxiety levels kept rising after each password wrong or/and password doesn’t meet requirements. This new TV ad campaign from the National Community Pharmacy Association sure looks like it was made with AI. The people are oddly enthusiastic, the voice over is incredibly artificial, and the washed out video rhymes with the worst digital slop we’ve seen recently. Ironic that this entire organization is designed to get shoppers to use their local pharmacy “for a better experience than the big-box store or mail-order pharmacy,” and “to go to an independent community pharmacy where they’re treated like a neighbor, not a number.” Um… you’re not even using real people for your advertisements.

19F here, studying a Bachelor of Pharmacy. Currently in my first year. I'm thinking about dropping out because it's too stressful and I can't handle it. There’s a drug store down the road from me that always seems to switch companies ( CVS vs Walgreens) every few years and when they do they cut down prices lower each day closer to switching. It’s mostly their store brand things that get marked but other stuff as well. Like, 90% off batteries and toilet paper. Today I found V8 energy drinks for 45¢. Worth it to keep an eye out for!

A few years back I was selling some stuff at a moving sale. This couple stopped by and they got a few things paid cash but wanted to donate 25 to the reason we were having the sale. Not only was this the largest tip I’ve ever received, it was by far the most expensive Instacart order I’ve ever checked out at a retailer. It was super easy too. Just two 10lbs boxes of Crab Legs at $806 a box. So $1.6k for 2 boxes of Crab Legs. And it was not even going to a restaurant. It was residential (at least a 2 million dollar home) for a super nice gentleman. These are the type of people who make Instacart worth it!
