Sam's Club is better than Costco

4h ago

I know this has come up before, but I feel it needs to be restated. Sam's Club is better than Costco for in-store shopping. I used to be a loyal Costco patron, but once I started going to Sam's, I haven't looked back. The reasons it is better: 1. Scan and go. This alone puts it light-years ahead of Costco. Costco's self-checkout is laughable. The amount of times it's told me to place the last scanned item on the scale is criminal. Scan and go allows me to be in and out. And even if you use the self-checkout at Sam's, it is much more user-friendly than Costco's. 2. Less crowded. A trip to Costco inevitably involves having every other person stop sudd...

Where to get prescription Adderall or Focalin XR?

5h ago

I'm seriously struggling. I'm getting very little work done, even simple tasks and can't focus in meetings. Constantly feeling antsy. Does anyone know a pharmacy in the city (cvs preferred) that has either Adderall XR or Focalin XR? I can do others, but those are the ones I've been prescribed in the past. I'm in midtown west and work in Tribeca, but willing to travel anywhere reasonable. Edit: Yes, I can get a prescription for either. Currently have an active one for Focalin, but I can't find a pharmacy to fill it. I started on Adderall, but given the shortage I switched to Focalin. Now Focalin has a shortage. I can try another such as Ritalin, though I would n...

Like c'mon, as if sodas and energy drinks aren't bad enough. (It goes without saying to not bring negativity/harassment to this user/check-in)

Where can I find cat medications in Nashik?

6h ago

Hi everyone, I’m looking for places in Nashik where I can buy basic pet medications for cats things like deworming medicine, flea/tick treatment, and other routine medicines (preferably any place near college road, but if anyone knows any place far also, please mention) Vet clinics, pet pharmacies, medical stores that stock animal meds, or even trusted online options that deliver to Nashik, any recommendations would really help. Thanks in advance

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Crashes to 52-Week Low ₹2075: Buy Opportunity or Trap?

6h ago

Colgate's stock just smashed to a 52-week low around ₹2075-₹2090 today.  Your favorite toothpaste brand's shares are bleeding, down over 25% from the yearly high of nearly ₹3000.  Is this the dip every smart investor dreams of, or a warning sign screaming "trap"? Let's break it down like we're chatting over chai – no jargon, just real talk on why it's crashing, the company's roots, how it makes money, and where the price might head next. Why the Big Crash Right Now? Blame it on tough times in the FMCG world. Recent quarters showed sales dipping – like Q2 FY26 revenue fell 4% year-on-year to about ₹1420 crore, with profits down 12% to ...

Body products in London to send to relative in intensive care in inner city London

9h ago

Hi everyone, a relative has been rushed to hospital (Royal Free hospital) due to emergency infection and was in London for a holiday etc, she has medical insurance and would have qualified for emergency care anyway. But she’s very ill, and having quality care but I just wanted to send her some useful products (eg dry shampoo, neutragena moisturising face cleanser wipes and things like that. Plus maybe a little battery operated fan as she is extremely overheating (fever) But I can’t find anything that will send things like that to her nearby Her Italian father has just arrived to help her (both are fluent in English) but she’s very ill and he’s not that knowledgeable about things l...

Outlook for new pharmacists

10h ago

Hi, I have a question about working in the pharmacy and please be nice because I’ve gotten dogpiled in the pharmacy subreddit for asking a simple question so I don’t wanna ask there. I come in peace. Have y’all noticed any negative changes specific to the pharmacy workflow since Walgreens was bought by Sycamore?? Changes in staffing, pay, benefits, or working conditions? Are you worried about job security or stores closing? I’m a new pharmacist and I’ve worked for other large chains (***** it) and was wondering how pharmacists felt about working at Walgreens and if their perspectives have changed with the new ownership. I’d appreciate any insight, even if you don’t work in ...

storing every single TPR

12h ago

Does anyone else’s pharmacy do this? It’s driving me nuts. Our pharmacist and some of our other staff delete-to-stored every single TPR. Just yesterday, our TPR number was at 82 and during lunch, a tech stored every script to get the number to 0. As the person who answers most of our phone calls and is up front a lot, this is so frustrating. Customers come in and say that just 3 days ago we told them we were working on it, and now suddenly they haven’t heard anything. I always find the script stored, and I have to explain to them “I’m sorry it disappeared from our work queue, we don’t have it ready, I fixed the issue, and we’re working on it now.” I am the person that get...

Dispensary on West Jefferson, why?

13h ago

I'm already not a huge fan of how Jefferson between Hammes and Barney is socially and economically. I wasn't stoked on an off track betting restaurant going into the previous Hawk dealership, I wasn't stoked on the (abandoned?) Chinese buffet turning into a cigar lounge, and I wasn't stoked on Basinger's pharmacy getting a liquor license when they moved literally across the street considering there's already a liquor store with a bar next door in the plaza they were previously located. I'm glad the lots are not sitting vacant but I wish something else moved in. I'm glad Harry et al no longer have the dirty run down storefront and now have a legitimate ...

Separation Anxiety or ?

14h ago

Hi, I have a question for experienced dog owners. My 6 month old has not been able to let me leave him home alone, not even for 3 minutes to take out the garbage. He barks continually. I have a pheromone diffuser and an ultrasonic anti bark device, but these make no difference. I live in an apartment condo and the laundry room is directly across the hall. My pup barks when I do laundry, even though he knows where I am and can actually hear me. I have taken him to daycare a several times and he doesn’t seem to miss me at all. I’ve also had no problem leaving him with the groomer, or at the pet store where they will watch your dog for 15-20 minutes so you can go next door to the pharmacy ...

Help with Vumerity/Insurance?

15h ago

Soo, my husband is the one with MS; we learned a bit late that our insurance at work changed (and tbh it always has). This time around, the pharmacy who sends him the medication flat out told him that they are not in the new network. He has less than a week of the medication. It's also hard to be on the phone because we work nights PDT, so there's barely anytime to stay on the phone with Biogen being on the East Coast and him not able to wake up with enough time because of our work schedule and his MS. His call with Biogen today did not end well, with the lady that was helping him disappearing right before 5pm EST without an answer. I feel like we're just so stuck with this *...

First time back since grade school 🤯

15h ago

I was at my hometown pharmacy/toy store and, for some reason, I got the urge to see if they had yo-yos. I walked out with a Duncan Pulse because that’s the type of yo-yo I remember being good with for tricks like loop-the-loops, around the world, walk the dog, and rock the baby. This led me to explore what modern yo-yos are like, and wow, I feel old even though I’m not 👀. I currently have the Pulse, a Hornet, a Butterfly XT, and an Offside Ascent (similar to the K2, as I understand it?). I also have a Shutter model on the way, a V13 Deep Spin to check out, and a K3. I’m not sure what I’m doing, but it’s a bit overwhelming. 😂

CVS 50% off is done for this year…. What did you grab?

16h ago

I was able to find some good smells today after roaming local CVS stores this week. Got 2 for her and one for me

GoodRx said $3. Walgreens charged me $26 for OTC allergy meds.

16h ago

**Guys, never go to Walgreens. I’m genuinely torn on whether this is a GoodRx issue or a Walgreens issue, but the experience was awful regardless.** I went in today to buy **over-the-counter allergy meds** because GoodRx showed Walgreens had a **$3 promo**, compared to the **$11–$35** I’d pay elsewhere. I went to the pharmacy counter, waited in line, and when it was my turn I was told I had to “consult with the pharmacist.” I thought I *was* already at the pharmacy, but apparently there’s a separate little window you have to go to first. I went there, and the pharmacist told me, “Yeah, you can go back to the counter and buy it—you just need a valid ID. But we don’t take G...

CVS 50% Sale lives - Too limited stock

17h ago

Anything worth getting? These are from 2 different stores in the SEA area as of tonight. Almost every sought after EDP and 100ml packs are gone. I picked up a Montblanc Legend EDT 100ml for $32.50 and taxes, is it a bad deal, or a not-so-great choice? I haven't opened it, so may be able to return it. Some fresh perfumes already on my shelves are Dylan Blue pour homme, Prada LaRossa Carbon and Lalique White, if it matters. Data point 1: Both stores had all the signs taken away, but the employee I spoke in the first store said the 50% discount still exists, but they had to take the signs off cuz it also said it'd give +$10 extrabucks, but that promo ended. That's consistent f...

If you can get your hands on a checkout shelf from a pharmacy, do it!

It’s an indestructible cat tower with multiple nests for cozy beds! I got this when I saw CVS was closing some stores an hour or so from me. These pharmacies will typically sell everything!

In your experience, which American retail chain has the rudest, most insufferable employees?

18h ago

This question has more merit than some may believe. It has to be a tie between Walmart and CVS, across most states I've been in. What do you all think? Which store has had remarkably rude and uninspired staff?
