Going from Store Side to Corporate

2h ago

I was wondering how easy it is for people to go from store side to corporate? Not necessarily for management, such as SM --> DL, but if you wanted to join a corporate department how does that work? Certain companies I've worked for in the past waive degree requirements for a lot of corporate roles if you are an internal hire and perform well. Does CVS do anything similar?

How to travel with a GLP-1

2h ago

With the holidays coming up (which-how did that happen already??), here are some quick tips for traveling with your GLP-1. These meds aren’t your typical pills, so they need a little extra care on the go. **1. Pack meds in your carry-on** GLP-1s are sensitive to temperature and sunlight. Plane cargo holds are technically temperature-controlled but not insulated, so it’s safest to keep your pens in your carry-on. **2. Keep your meds in a separate liquids bag** You can bring a GLP-1 through airport security. TSA might scan them separately since they’re liquids so keep them in a clear plastic bag. Bring the original box (if you have it) so agents can ID them easily. **3. Pack meds ...

scheduling app???

2h ago

What scheduling app does cvs use? And who am I supposed to reach out about getting access to it. My training manager sent me a screenshot of my training schedule that covers only week and a half. Who am I supposed to reach out about this. She also told me she was gonna come to my skills store and meet me in person if I had any questions and she never showed up lol. I feel so lost with this whole new hire process

What skincare should my husband bring back from Rio/São Paulo?

3h ago

My husband is traveling to Brazil, and I want to give him a quick list of **easy-to-find skincare** to bring back. Are there any local brands or specific products worth purchasing from regular stores or pharmacies in Rio/São Paulo? Looking for fun, unique Brazilian products that are actually accessible, not super fancy boutique stuff. Thanks!

Just transferred, and was wondering about the test.

3h ago

Hello. Not sure if this has been asked before, but i just transferred to pharmacy from a different department in my store. And I was wondering about the test i need to take to go from training to being actually certified. I know it said I have a year to do it. But is there an actual online class I take?? And do i have to wait a certain amount of time till i can start, or is it something I can start right away?

Store Recommendations in Seattle/Tacoma Area

3h ago

Hey folks, I'm in the States for a couple days and since I haven't lived here in years I'm looking for recommendations for physical stores with good polish selections. Current places on my list are: - Ulta - Target - Walgreens/CVS/Rite Aid (if those all even still exist lol) - Sephora (do they still sell polish??) I'm in Washington state, staying in the Tacoma area but happy to drive up to Seattle if needed. Is there any place else I should add to the list? Either for drugstore polish or boutiques tHey folks, I'm in the States for a couple days and since I haven't lived here in years I'm looking for recommendations for physical stores with good polish sel...

What Blitz Really Is This Year and How to Prepare

4h ago

Hey all, just a quick post to explain what the Blitz promo is and what it isn’t. First, what it is. Blitz is EA’s Black Friday offer for MUT where new pack offers unlock from Thursday evening to Monday afternoon. Some of them are great, like a fire fantasy pack with high overall cards. Others are just recycled versions of old promos. Each offer gives you some kind of Blitz currency. They usually call it Blitz Bucks or Blitz Points or whatever they feel like that year. Maybe this time we get Blitz Boppers, who knows. Either way, those points unlock more store offers and higher overall cards. A lot of players, especially whales, will spend a lot of money during Blitz because years ago t...

What do we do in this situation? Will we have to owe a lot of money??

4h ago

I am in a strange tax/health insurance related predicament and am looking for advice. I work at a very well known grocery store in the state of VA, been there for years and had health insurance through them. I have an autoimmune disease that I am on meds for life for that I have been able to get with this company’s insurance very easily. It’s a biologic medication, so it costs thousands out of pocket, it’s also a shot I have to give myself 2x a month so each month I have to get it refilled through a specialty pharmacy. October 2024 I had a baby. The group/company/whatever that my job uses for employee benefit stuff is called Associate Connect. It’s who we are supposed to call if ...

Mission Valley Pharmacy

4h ago

Hello my fellow San Diego and Mission Valley residents. I know this is the long shot. I am asking everybody for their help here. If you or anybody you know, chose to or had to move your prescriptions and leave CVS mission valley pharmacy, due to threats, harassment or withholding a medication by the pharmacy staff there, I'm asking you to please contact me. I chose to leave because I was being harassed and threatened by one of the pharmacists. If you experienced anything similar to this or had medications withheld without proper authority to do so, this happened to me. There have been several other cases like mine. This pharmacist needs to be stopped. If anybody experienced any kind...

New "nationwide" regulation in effect, per my CVS - anyone else experiencing this?

4h ago

Okay. Not sure what's going on. I was due to get my Vyvanse Rx filled today or tomorrow - it's one day early today. They rarely have ever done the 'two-day early' fills for me, but I've been fine with it. I've picked up one day early, or the day of, or a day after for some months. CVS texted me this morning to call them about my Rx, so I did. Had a poor convo with a really rude woman right off the bat (not my usual experience w/my local CVS) who said the pharmacist told her to relay that I was not allowed to fill my Rx for 7 more days. She didn't explain why, just tried to end the conversation, so I requested to speak w/pharmacist (who was much nicer). ...

MRMD: MariMed.inc (Medical Cannabis)

5h ago

Lawmakers could force the DEA to remove cannabis from the Schedule-1 list, with a 90-day time limit, to allow the FDA to study it for medical value so insurance companies can help patients obtain it at hospitals and pharmacies such as Walgreens, Costco, or CVS provided by existing multi-state operators such as MRMD (Marimed Inc.), CURLF (Curaleaf), TCNNF (Trulieve) and many other multi-state operators.

Finding dental floss in casablanca

5h ago

****** question.... But I really need to find dental floss here in casablanca. Ive gone to bim and carrefour and no luck. I also checked in the alpha 55 store, couldnt find any. Just spend quite a bit of money on teeth cleaning and don't want it to go to waste by having plaque buildup. Any suggestions where I could find it would be greatly appreciated. The pharmacy perhaps but I'm not sure?

I worked for GTBIF as an Assistant Manager of one of their dispensaries for medical cannabis and bought 50,000 shares of...

[Part 1] Storming the Bastille With Pitchforks and Androids: ASI, Creative Destruction and Class Liberation Post-Transit...

# Beatrice My friend, in previous conversations we've discussed the AI capex super-cycle and how the ROI is likely through a cannibalization of the knowledge worker class. This has resulted in a strong anti-AI movement of these knowledge workers trying to maintain their position of privilege within society. Doom-saying, calls for strict AI alignment, even the elites of many tech companies have signed onto a letter calling for a ban on ASI. I posit though that the only way for the actual working classes of society to receive the healthcare, stable and equitable economy that they deserve is if an ASI was in charge of the administration and provision without the class preservation impuls...

Pulmicort shortage?

6h ago

Hey all. Is there a Pulmicort shortage or something? I've been on Pulmicort for a little over two years for my daily maintenance inhaler, and I've been trying to refill it for two weeks now with no luck. CVS says there were no pharmacies within 50 miles that could refill it/they didn't know when it would be back in stock. I asked my doctor if there was a similar med I could switch to, and she prescribed Qvar, which my insurance doesn't cover. Any advice? I'm at the point of rationing my remaining Pulmicort, which feels dicey.

Critique my budget - save more to FIRE earlier or not?

6h ago

Throw away account for privacy.  My husband and I just learned about FIRE in the last year, but we have always been natural savers + have had a tremendous amount of privilege that has helped us get where we are. As we dig into FIRE goals, we are trying to decide if we should save more aggressively, or if we’re in a solid enough position and shouldn’t worry about it/ keep living how we’re living. If we kept going as we are, I could probably cut back my work commitments in 10-15 years and we could both fully retire by 55. The question is if we should save way more aggressively now to move up that timeline, which also sounds amazing. We’re 35M/F couple with 6 month old twins, living ...
