Grocery Outlet aiming for Riteaid building

2h ago

https://www.pressdemocrat.com/2026/01/20/grocery-outlet-eyes-former-rite-aid-spot-for-sebastopol-location/ After months of sitting empty, Grocery Outlet could become Sebastopol‘s sixth grocery store as the discount grocer moves forward with a proposal to open doors at the former Rite Aid store on Main Street. Rite Aid shuttered its Sebastopol storefront in August as it closed 295 pharmacies statewide after filing for bankruptcy in May. Community members will have the opportunity to share their input and ask questions of Grocery Outlet liaisons at two open-house style community meetings on Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sebastopol Center for the Art’s Brent Auditorium. ...

Liraglutide v weekly GLP-1s and what do the meds from LSH look like

2h ago

I was previously on liraglutide that I had a prescription for name brand Saxenda and having it filled and shipped from Canada. I lost a total of 30-35 lbs and tolerated liraglutide well. I was on it for probably 2 years. Coming off I have regained 10 lbs. I have PCOS and hashimoto thyroiditis and I think I want to continue on a GLP-1 at micro/low dose long term for weight control and also help controlling my other conditions. I also exercise (incline walks, hikes, hot yoga, weight and resistance training), avoid processed foods/toxins, and eat whole food lower carb based diet and do some time restricted feeding. I would like to switch to a compound pharmacy instead of getting the name...

Uribel or Uro MP for bladder pain & uretha pain

3h ago

Having to pee 10,000 times in tiny amounts is very annoying and exhausting. Cystex helps. It does not help me with the bladder pain and uretha pain/burning, which can sometimes make me fry. My CVS pharmacy can't get me Uro MP and the tech doesn't think they can get Uribel either. So I have to call around. Even with GoodRx both drugs are expensive. My provider originally prescribed me Uro MP but said she could give me Uribel instead. Uribel is much cheaper than Uro MP but at this point that is not my leading decision factor. I don't know which one will help me more. I feel so overwhelmed that I want to give up.

Opalescence in Mexico pharmacys?

4h ago

Random question — anybody seen opalescence teeth whiting in any Mexico pharmacies or stores? In the states it's a bit expensive. I was in Cabo last Xmas and saw the unfathomable amount of pharmacys but never thought to look for this… Cheers

Attention Canadians! New lipase discoveries!

5h ago

I recently went down a rabbit hole looking for Canadian sources of DNase (none so far, sadly) by searching in French, but managed to find more Canadian detergents with lipase and thought I would share with everyone! I'm not affiliated with anything, just a big fan of buying Canadian when I can. [**Echoclean**](https://www.echoclean.ca/product-page/unscented-liquid-laundry-detergent) **Liquid Detergent** * eco-friendly, cruelty-free BC company * available in lavender or unscented * 16.95$/2.95L/100 loads or 10.99/1.5L.50 loads according to their website. * [Where to buy](https://www.echoclean.ca/where-to-find-our-product): seems mostly to be only in BC for now * Ingredients: Water (d...

Why is the Gates Walmart such a Shithole?

8h ago

The Gates Walmart is frustratingly poorly run. I’ve never personally felt unsafe inside or outside the store, but the overall operation feels disorganized and poorly managed compared to other nearby locations. Some of the problems do stem from a small number of customers, but it’s clearly not the majority. Most shoppers aren’t causing issues, which makes the blanket restrictions feel unnecessary. For comparison, the Wegmans on Lyell Avenue is consistently clean and appears well managed, despite being about the same distance from the city border. At the Walmart nearly everything is kept behind lock and key especially in the pharmacy area yet the shelves are still picked through and sl...

Super Unique / Never Traveled

8h ago

You guys ever pay attention to the chubby red highlighted "Super Unique / Never Traveled" roads in your area? I live in a very suburban, not very walkable/bikeable area, so I see a lot of these. I did a little experiment today just for fun and decided to see if Manhattan (presumably the most walked place in America) had any Super Unique / Never Traveled areas. I couldn't find any. In fact, I had to go all the way up to the Bronx, where there's this random little playground/park area between Moshula Avenue and Fieldston Road, before I found a Super Unique / Never Traveled area. Of course, the satellite view looks extremely forested, so now I'm all sorts of curio...

Local Pharmacy recommendations?

Any good local pharmacy recommendations? Fed up with the runaround at CVS regarding refilling ADHD medications. Would prefer somewhere family owned with people who actually answer the phone and communicate. Thanks in advance

Pharmacy practice - Suggestions

9h ago

Hello, I wish to open a pharmacy retail medical store in India. Since i do not have any prior experience of working in a medical store, i am looking to work in a medical store for approximately 6 months to learn everything about this business (including medical knowledge and everything pertaining to running a medical store) before opening own store. Any ideas how one can approach existing pharmac(ies) for a job (pure intention here is to learn everything about this business); and how to leave the job (gracefully) after 6 months? Any suggestions/ideas would be helpful.

How is this allowed?

posting for my friend who doesn’t have reddit\* I was working as a pharmacy assistant for over a month. I was ultimately was caught making TikTok’s during work hours, which I get was my fault but we weren’t particularly busy so I figured it was not a big deal. The pharmacist (who was a different one than the usual) came up behind me and asked to put it away. I complied and apologized to him. However I guess I have a bad habit of checking my phone often so I picked it up to check something again. This time he came up and threatened to take my phone away from me. I thought it was weird but at the same time thought he was bluffing. After around 30 minutes or so, no one had really come in...

Air support and out of stock *****!

10h ago

Maybe when it started it was needed but now air support and the dashboard are more trouble than help. The QT gets filled so quickly with demands of your store no one is really helping others. Getting through rejections in the morning takes forever!! Let’s not forget doing rebills that get sent to the cloud. The low stock/ ordering only for rxs situation has really gotten out of hand. When you have to OOS a drug it takes double the time to now fill that rx. Mind you the stuff that’s out of stock patients want asap like GLP1, CGM and inhalers. Don’t come to the pharmacy on a weekend expecting us to have any of these. Our OV orders are now totes and totes. And this new timing of ...
