Hey everyone, I'm currently working at CVS and I have an interview coming up at Sam's Club. I saw a Glassdoor review where someone said the pharmacist called all 3 references and was really thorough/nosey about it. Is this normal for Sam's Club pharmacy, or was that just one weird location? For those of you who got hired as a tech at Sam's — did they ask for references? How many? Did the pharmacist actually call them, or was it just a background check through the system? How many days it took to get the offer after the interview? Trying to get my references lined up before I go in. Thanks!

I wasn’t much of a sticker collector until I visited the gorgeous sticker vending machine at C.O. Bigelow, the oldest pharmacy in the country. The machine features three different illustrators. This gorgeous trio is from stickers that are now retired. The cat is Allegra, the previous store cat. What a beauty!

Something weird I found. So I originally would get my T from walgreens. When I first got started my insurance denied coverage for the T. I'm like fine whatever, I'll use goodrx and it's like $35. Well that walgreens has issues keeping pharmacists so I have to change to another pharmacy after a couple months. The closest one is a CVS. I go there, get the prescription moved, and then suddenly my insurance covers it, and it's only $10. It's just weird. Why not cover it at both places? It's literally the same medication down to the brand. Also, I didn't know what to out for the flair, so here we are.

Context: I got into pharmacy school in 2020 and dropped out halfway into the first semester due to mental health. I worked at CVS during that time and I also left that job. I am wanting to get back into pharmacy so I am working on a PTCB course and plan on testing in the next couple of months. I want to work as a tech but I want to avoid retail, what options are available to me? I want to wait until I pass the PTCB but I may have to start before then due to my current work situation. I had a really bad onboarding experience with this manager, and ended up fitting in really well with the store that trained me. I chose a plan that I thought was a good one but I am finding out I was drastically wrong. It doesn’t cover literally any pharmacies but cvs and even then we still have to pay out our *** for prescriptions (that are needed to live might I add) and my copay is ridiculously expansive. My deductible is like 16k for my family of 4. None of my drs are in network despite checking if they were before purchasing the plan. (Thanks for the lies marketplace) what can I even do? Am I screwed for the next year??? Can I somehow put in an application to change my plan? I can’t pay what I’m paying for this ****** plan anymore and I can’t pay the **** expansive copays.
