I am a staff pharmacist with Walgreens. I have been a pharmacist since August and was an intern at the same store starting in 2022. I’ve always been curious about what we’re allowed to purchase for the store out of our own pockets. There is a couple that has been shopping for spark for a long time at my store. They are friends with all the employees. Like friendly. Not sure about the managers, but definitely the coaches. They are nasty to other drivers. They have recently been reported by some customers and are taking it out on other drivers. They are also having their friends place orders and then complain about the shoppers that they get to deliver their orders. An older woman who I befriended that does spark has been deactivated. I was hired as a full timer (licensed pharmacy technician) and very rarely do I actually get more than 25-27hrs/week. I realiza that we dropped SelectHealth but our store is still probably averaging 600 scripts a day. We're that busy. Yet corporate still wants to cut hours? I'm also splitting shifts with another location. I'm currently on indeed looking up other tech openings and have applied to several, even had interviews, but at the end of the day still end up short.

I live in Oakland and have United Healthcare insurance through my job. It's been a struggle to find a pharmacy nearby with the closure of Rite Aid since CVS doesn't take my insurance. University Pharmacy doesn't work with my schedule, doesn't carry a lot of medications I used and I had a bad experience with the manager of their staff there. I tried using Optum RX delivery service and they are pretty horrible too. I'm considering switching to Schiller and use their delivery service I just wanted to put feelers out there and see if anyone here has any other pharmacies they use or pharmacy services. If anyon uses Schiller...how do you like it?

With many states minimum wage per hour increase of $1+ just having gone through at first of year, also in my area hospitals and privately owned independents have raised wages, wondering if anyone has heard anything regarding Walmarts intent of raising pharmacy techs' hourly wages. In my area, which really should be deemed metro and thus compensatory pay be aligned as such, we are not getting paid as amply in the past when Walmart pharmacy was more of a fair deal. Hi all, when getting your script sent to a pharmacy, have you seen any differences in price depending on the pharmacy? Like would some place like Sam's Club or Costco be cheaper than CVS or Walgreens, or are they about the same price?

Any pharmacists or drug store workers, I’d love to understand how private pharmacies in Canada order/receive medication supply. Who do you work with? Is it one person that supplies all types of medication? What companies do they work for and what are their typical roles/titles? Thanks in advance!

I work at a pharmacy in Roseville and I see a lot of unaccompanied minor 8-12 coming to me store destroying toys, stealing snacks, making loud noises and treat the store like a park. Please check on your children there is no reason for your minor child to be out after it's dark. Half a million kids go missing in the United States every year. Your kid could be next. If you have CVS Caremark, you absolutely MUST see if your doctor will put you on a 3-month prescription! I just moved up to .5 and was told that I was going to have to pay $324 for my prescription. I talked to a colleague and they said you get savings if you do 3 months. After an hour long phone call with CVS Caremark, they authorized my 3-months prescription and told me my price is now $75. (Must be purchased at a CVS pharmacy, pickup in person) It is just wild to me that 3 months of the same prescription is less cost than one single!!

My son is in the midst of switching from my health insurance to his own insurance from the marketplace. He’s enrolled in BCBS of Alabama and all set to go. We currently use CVS Caremark mail-ordet pharmacy for his Omnipod and Dexcom CGM prescriptions. My question is which mail-order pharmacies folks would recommend (I know, ultimately it will depend on which ones will take his insurance). I like the looks of Amazon’s pharmacy, but I may be biased because I’m an Amazon customer.
