This map has so many issues I stopped counting... Why has chocolate gotten so much more expensive?3h agoI keep budgets and spreadsheets with the price of things at various stores, and the price of chocolate has SKYROCKETED. Cocoa powder at most stores is upwards of $6 for the store brand, and even Trader Joe’s (which, for reasons I cannot determine, has been much more resilient to the chocolate price explosion) has gone up almost 20% in the last year alone. A bar of Lindt chocolate at my CVS is 8.29, and it’s not much better at other locations. ****, the \*Walmart\* is selling single Ghirardelli bars for \~$5. I remember not too long ago these were in the $2-3 range, and at this point most popular protein bars are higher calorie per dollar than chocolate, which is crazy to me because prot... "Access denied" to CVS-sponsored immunization program?4h agoHi all, I'm working on completing the required training to become an immunizer but am unable to access the APhA tech immunizer program. I'm using the link that's in MyDocs ([https://apha.docebosaas.com/learn/learning-plans/1627/pharmacy-based-immunization-administration-by-pharmacy-technicians-hosted-by-cvs](https://apha.docebosaas.com/learn/learning-plans/1627/pharmacy-based-immunization-administration-by-pharmacy-technicians-hosted-by-cvs)), is this maybe an old link that's no longer functional? I also already have my NABP profile linked. The APhA website says to contact your hosting company if you're having issues accessing the course, but I'm not even sur... What are my chances?4h agoHello everyone! I don’t usually post on here but now that it’s getting close to application season, I figured I should get some opinions on how my application looks. I was pre-med for many years but decided to switch to pharmacy more because I loved learning about drugs and how drugs interact with different people. This is mainly due to the research I did which showed me how powerful drugs can really be and the content we learned in a biochemistry 2 class that I took. Now onto my application: Background: Michigan resident, attend regular state school, Arab immigrant, first generation GPA: 4.0 Major: Biochemistry Extracurriculars: \-TA for introductory organic chemistry and potent... :‹ Need help choosing film + beginner photography advice5h agoᯓ𑣲 I just picked up a Pentax Zoom 90-WR camera from a thrift store for $3 my grandfather actually found it for me! I bought a battery, and it turns on, but I’m not sure what type of film it uses. Can it take any film, or does it need a specific kind? I’m also looking for recommendations on good film brands and where to buy film, both in stores and online. I’m 17 and on a budget, so I’m hoping for affordable options—my mom said she’d help, but nothing too expensive. I’m really interested in pursuing photography professionally, especially street and nature photography. I want to practice as much as I can before saving up for a professional camera. Also, what’s the best... The Seamstress of Main Street6h ago**I. The Yellow Miles** Oakhaven isn’t a ghost town; it’s a town that holds its breath. If you drive through at noon, it looks like a postcard. The brickwork on Main Street is Victorian, the flower baskets hanging from the black iron lampposts are always watered, and the windows of the local businesses are polished to a high shine. But there is a specific minute—somewhere between 8:59 and 9:00 PM—when the atmosphere curdles. The shopkeepers don't just close; they flee. You’ll see Mr. Gable at the hardware store fumbling with his deadbolts, his hands shaking so hard the keys chime like a death knell. He doesn’t look at the street. He looks at his own feet. By 9:05 PM, the ... Multiple major cruise lines have published policies saying their cabin fridges are not suitable for temperature-sensitiv...7h agoBiotech Cold chain professional here. This comes up a lot and most people carrying injectable medications on cruises are simply unaware of it, so worth laying out clearly. **What the cruise lines actually say** Carnival — the world's largest cruise operator — states in its published passenger documentation: *"Staterooms on a number of ships are equipped with non-stocked mini bar units which are designed to maintain the temperature of beverages. Please do not use these units to store medications that have specific temperature requirements."* Norwegian Cruise Line states directly in its medical policy: *"Cabin minibars are not suitable for storing temperature-sensiti... Photo orders on Mother’s Day weekend7h agoPretty much just a rant post but I am so sick and tired of our photo system, especially during holidays. I’ve called the help desk multiple times and so have my coworkers when this occurs, yet, it’s never fixed when we need it the most and I have to take horrible backlash from so many customer every time. It’s draining me. Over the last few days we had an influx of orders for Mother’s Day/the promotional stuff cvs advertises. It was so far so good until apparently yesterday. That being said, I walked in this morning drowning in these orders with people being told (both by some of my coworkers AND the advertising of same day pickup) that their order would be ready in like an hour. ... Stores in SWFL?8h agoI was wondering how someone might get a pulse on retail deliveries to local stores. I’d imagine the people making the delivery tell family and take a cut, or people just stake out the store to find out. When you’re talking thousands of dollars of profit, people will do anything. I thought I might have some luck at the Walmarts, target, costco, cvs, Walgreens, etc this time of year before the vacationers come and after the seasonal residents have left. I’d love if anyone can share tips of how they managed to snag a retail delivery. I’m not too into the hobby but my brother loves it, and I’d love to buy a few boxes at the actual retail price. The craze over these cards has gone... Jerk of a Supervisor9h agoI’ve been a cashier at this CVS for a couple months now and most of the supervisors/managers are professional, hard-working, and respectful. BUT then we have one who’s been nothing but a thorn at my side, and I don’t understand how he can call himself a supervisor. No one knows wherever he is, which is annoying when it gets busy in the store, and keeps refusing to wear the radio that allows us to communicate effectively with each other. Has a real attitude where he doesn’t say ‘hi’ or ‘bye’ or ‘thank you’ and all I wanna do is cuss him out. What should I do??? has anyone found the stickers in Atlanta? Seem to be striking out at all locations ... Walgreens, cvs, etc.9h agohas anyone found the stickers in Atlanta? Seem to be striking out at all locations ... Walgreens, cvs, etc. cvs had them on the app and you could see the stores but now it seems they have taken them off the app. Find work on new shift app10h agoI am a new hire in the pharmacy and would like to pick up work at near by stores. I selected find work and put in 1 Bid and it read pending. So I called the store but the floater said she would pass my info off to the lead tech. Should I just leave it at this? Is this the proper way to find more work? Any tips or suggestions are appreciated! MicroCenter Drama11h agolet me preface this with the fact that i have a strong opinion about giving up my info for store cards/being entered into their databases. don’t care if its cvs or hermès. i go into microCenter with my list. get to the register with the paper they printed out for me \~$1k in precious metals. at the register, the high school student was doing too good of a job where he didn’t like the address i gave him. he suddenly left the register said he needs a manager. manager, probably about 20 years younger than me starts off talking VERY loudly (i wouldn’t say yelling) about how “these items are limited per household, and we require your data in our database”. i asked what was wrong with m... Cerebrolysin No Filter?12h agoI’m currently in Vietnam and Cerebrolysin is sold OTC here. Finding it is easy, the only problem is that I can’t seem to find blunt filter needles anywhere. I’ve been to multiple pharmacies (different chains and districts) as well as the main medical supply stores / wholesalers in HCMC. Looks like they’re just not commonly used or available here. And yes, I’ve also tried sourcing online locally. I understand using a filter is best practice but how big is the risk of glass contamination without one? I would like to do a one month cycle (10ml day IM x 5 days x 4 weeks). I will go to Thailand after but can’t seem to find filters online there either. What's a good inexpensive place to get flowers?13h agoI was thinking trader joes for flowers, dollar store for frames, and get some nice pictures printed from cvs/wallgreens/walmart? Let me know your thoughts. Thank you! Lease takeover Flatbush 1-bedroom in new building, Sept 2026-December 2026/January 2027 with option to renew, 2815/month15h agoLovely high ceilings, big south-facing windows and lots of light! Entryway transition area and closet with kitchen nook and adjoining den. Den currently used as a walk-in closet and space to sleep guests; closet fixtures in the picture can be removed before I leave if desired. Built in 2025, balcony, new appliances including dishwasher, elevator, in-building laundry, gym on the roof ("gym" is minimal but does the job), 4 minutes' walk from 2 and 5 lines with grocery stores, pizza places, and pharmacy within 10-minute walk. Windows are double-paned, so this is a calm place to work and relax without being too far from the city (30 min to Wall Street, 50 min to Times Square). I ... Things I've learned after a year of transitioning15h agoHello everyone. This is my first time commenting here. English is not my first language I might have some grammatical mistakes here and there. Time flies. It's been a year already. I transitioned when I was 28. I was feeling very insecure about starting in my late 20s. I read sometime ago that the best time to transition is yesterday, but the second best time to transition is today. It's normal to feel hesitant to start something life changing, but know that you won't ever feel as ecstatic as the moment you start living your life true to yourself. It will feel very exhausting having to think about clothing, style, makeup, voice, and so many other things. But there's no ...
