Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the CVS Pharmacy Latest Community Discussions About CVS PharmacyVA Meds to Retail Pharmacy with Private Insurance33m agoLooking for input from other vets in a similar boat: those with VA-prescribed maintenance meds who fill them at retail pharmacies (like CVS) using other insurance coverage (in my case, Medicare Part D PDP) instead of VA mail-order or pickup. My current setup: VA charges a copay ($15 per 90-day generic tier, free meds for SC). But when the script goes to retail and I fill via Medicare PDP, I pay $0 at the pharmacy and no VA copay is collected. For years, this contractor run VA CBOC has been sending my routine scripts to my retail pharmacy via fax or call in. Even before when I lived in a city with a real VA clinic, they would print it out on engraved paper for me to take to my choice of pha... INSANE lines of angry people blocking the entrance just before 10am that don't have executive membership.1h agoI think Costco failed pretty miserably with this one. I went to my local costco today (which has a separate return line entrance than the main entrance). Got there at 9:55am (I have basic membership) expecting there to be a long line already wrapped around the building for the returns line (as it normally is) and it to be well past 10:00am by the time I reached the front and I found out that they don't open that entrance even to executive members at 9am, they force them to go through the main entrance. So there were like 50 people without executive membership standing at the main entrance purposely hogging up all the space and blocking the doorway while the executive members couldn'... Expectations of Techs2h agoBeing told input must be at certain metrics like amount + must be at 100% accuracy. No guidance on what occurs if this benchmark is not met; I saw on Reddit a week or so ago the new Rx Pharmacy Operations Mgr was to keep records on each Techs and wothin that were areas for development; I would expect person in that position to help support more intensive training for otherwise solid tech thats insufficient in one area or another, however, we dont have anyone in that position or obv no TL now, either. Also MTM Calls, Techs must do certain amount daily or system generated report goes to Ad Office then RxM has to respond w/explanation why Tech not meeting quota? Again, what is going to occur su... MariMed: MRMD 🌳3h ago**The moat is real but specific.** State-issued medical licenses in closed lotteries create genuine scarcity—you can't buy your way into Maryland or Massachusetts distribution tomorrow. That's different from most cannabis operators. The constraint is regulatory, not capital. That sticks. **280E is the catalyst you should actually focus on.** The tax code section that disallows deductions on Schedule I drugs is the single biggest artificial drag on cannabis P&L. If Schedule III happens, a $160M revenue operator with $27M in deferred tax liabilities doesn't just see a one-time bump—the recurring tax rate normalizes. That's structural margin expansion, not a p... 6 Days in Paris: Itinerary vs Reality4h agoJust got back from a trip and wanted to share what the itinerary was, how things ended up changing, and what we thought of everything. This is long, but I think it includes a lot of useful information, so hopefully it is helpful to someone! Day 1 plans: Arrive at CDG, Travel to hotel to drop off luggage, Walk or take metro to Eiffel Tower, View Eiffel Tower, Walk along the Seine, Pont Alexandre III, Hôtel national des Invalides, Shop at La Grande Épicerie de Paris for hotel snacking supplies, Make our way back to hotel and get settled How Day 1 went: We arrived in the morning after a very long trip. Took a G7 to the hotel which went smoothly (used app to pay) and dropped off our luggage ... It was good while it lasted - the end of the golden doses5h ago**I have been extracting a 5th dose from every pen since I started. It's not hard; the wonderful people here explained how to do it, which syringes were required, and where to buy them. There are even YouTube videos showing you every step.** **I used the insulin syringe method and was able to get a full dose of 6ml every time. Indeed, on most occasions, I was able to get more. I only used the larger doses when I was moving up a dose. When this was an incremental step, say 7.5mg moving to the next pen of 10mg. I was able to get 9.3mg, as my 5th dose. There are tables to calculate how much each ml is worth depending on the pen you are using. But, the sums are straightforward: from a 7.5m... Coworker just found out I’m on testosterone5h agoHey guys, I made a post a few months ago about how my mother found out I’m T. I’m back to share about how someone else just found out lolol So I work at a pharmacy, as a technician. At the company I work at, no matter what store location you go to, they all share the same system so your profile/prescription history can be pulled up anywhere. Today I decided to get a flu shot after my shift ended, and my coworker offered to do it for me. To sign someone up for a vaccine you have to go onto their profile to check them in. It was almost like it was in slow-motion. One of those corny movie scenes haha. I knew before she saw it herself what it would show. My history of testosterone prescr... Application Advice6h agoHi all, I have a question regarding what schools are looking for in terms of grades and ECs, and if what I have is acceptable for dental school. Grades: cGPA: 3.645 sGPA: 3.45 DAT: currently studying ORM I had one poor semester in particular (<3.0 semester GPA) that caused my GPA to drop so much from where it was before (3.85). I transferred to a new college, and I was also dealing with some personal family issues at the time. I definitely plan to address this in my personal statement because that particular semester is not reflective of my academic ability. Regarding clinical volunteering, I have 275 hours of volunteering at 2 different local hospitals. Nothing dental-specifi... Breaking Down Bates6h ago1.Carlin and Evan Stewart are at 5 months since the purchase of their monstrosity on the hill, and finally say that a move in date is soon…ish. Need Interview Advice6h agoI'm a pretty new grad pharmacist, class of 2025. I've always had aspirations of becoming a clinical Rph. I've worked at a NYC hospital since I was a pharm tech and even kept a per diem job there as an Rph. The income isn't sustainable though and I did apply for residency again. Here is my dilemma: I'm working as a contract rph at another hospital in the city weekdays, alt weekends at my per diem spot. My contract is up around 4/5 and match day is 3/18. I need a new job until residency starts 7/1 (\*I am manifesting me matching\*). I got some interviews but I don't know if I should tell them about residency. Should I even apply for a job at somewhere I applied ... Loblaw Data Breach Exposes Customer Information Amid Rising Cybersecurity Threats7h ago**Loblaw has reported a data breach affecting customer details, but crucial financial data remains secure.** **Key Points:** - Loblaw confirms unauthorized access to basic customer information. - Sensitive data such as passwords and credit card information were not compromised. - Details on the number of affected customers remain unclear. - This breach occurs alongside other cybersecurity incidents in the retail sector. Canadian retail giant Loblaw has announced that it recently discovered a data breach wherein a criminal third party gained access to basic customer information, including names, email addresses, and phone numbers. Pharmacy black box zip ties8h agoDoes anyone know the item number or how to order more of these zip ties for the pharmacy record storage black box for stores that dont have a cage? Need help finding provider who is comfortable prescribing ADHD meds with Suboxone8h agoThis is a very long story, so to those of you willing to read it in its entirety — thank you. I really need help. I have been on the same combination of meds for close to a decade; my primary care doctor put me on Suboxone 10 years ago. I was not in withdrawal and hadn’t taken pain meds in months. If I was an addict I would have *zero* qualms about saying so and receiving appropriate treatment as I have with other mental health issues for my entire life. I don’t care about the stigma that goes along with addiction or mental health, I care about feeling well, functioning, and getting treated. I have Addisons disease. People with adrenal issues are not supposed to take Suboxon... WEX Benefits HSA/FSA is horrible!!!!9h agoWEX is a horrible FSA/HSA provider. They ask every charge to have an itemized invoice with provider, type of service, date and charge. This is a major pain when no other HSA/FSA provider is this punitive. Is their technology so ****** that it can’t tell from the name of the charge that it’s a doctor’s office. CVS pharmacy charges are the only ones I’ve seen that don’t require an itemized invoice. Also many doctors especially online do not provide this. Then you have to call and chase them down and have them created an itemized invoice for you. I **** WEX. If you run a company, do Not partner with WEX. Your employees will **** you for the **** they put employees through. Was there ever a time in Park Slope History that the 9th Street CVS was properly staffed?9h agoI'm not saying the staff are bad! I'm just saying there's not enough of them. That store is crazy busy and the lines and wait times are outrageous. I guess there's no incentive for them to change because we all continue patronizing it, but man, they would benefit from hiring more people for each shift and especially at the pharmacy. When the line is 20 people deep and you have one cashier working, something is wrong. My wife was on antibiotics and I couldn't find Saccharomyces Boulardii anywhere locally - here's what I learne...9h agoA few weeks ago my wife had to take a course of antibiotics. She's also pregnant (3 months) so I was particularly anxious about supporting her gut as much as possible during the course. I'd read enough about [Saccharomyces boulardii](https://unitedvitamins.co.uk/products/saccharomyces-boulardii-mos-jarrow-formulas) to know it was exactly what I wanted - specifically because it's a YEAST not a bacteria, meaning antibiotics don't touch it. It stays active while everything else gets wiped out. That's the whole point. So I went to every pharmacy near us. Nothing. The regular Lactobacillus stuff was everywhere but actual S. boulardii? Not a single one had it in stock. ... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
