I finally have money - and I cant find aftershave anywhere. ANYWHERE. I can ONLY find cologne in-store and have found one actual aftershave?? (It was old \-spice, didnt like the smell.) But I want aftershave for practicality, and of course also one I like the smell of. I would rather try find one in-person so I can get one i like the smell of, but where do I find actual aftershave? Ive tried pharmacies (boots and whelans) including a pharmacy warehouse too and a tesco. I dont understand why it's apperantly so non-accessable of a product to get in person I’m a Pharmacy student at UT Austin college of Pharmacy. My dad is losing his ability to walk from RA and I’m at my ...6h agoHi everyone. I’m a pharmacy student here (currently working as a CVS intern on the weekends). I’ve spent the last few weeks trying to figure out how to write this without feeling ashamed, but I’ve realized I can’t do this alone anymore. My dad is battling severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). It’s reached a point where he can’t walk without excruciating pain and can no longer work. I’m trying so hard to keep up with the rigorous demands of pharmacy school while working every spare second to keep us afloat, but I’m failing on all fronts. My mental health is suffering, and I’m terrified I’ll have to drop out just to help pay for treatment. I’ve linked my GoFundMe below. I ... Walgreens RX are THIEFS7h ago****** me who has used Walgreens for years to get my prescriptions. I choose to use the delivery service again this month, I paid for delivery and it was deducted from my bank account. You would think Walgreens would send me my medication. NO they want me to pay again. The trash working at the Walgreens pharmacy in Fort Worth on Henderson have put me on hold for over 43 minutes and several seconds! If I went into your store and stole from Walgreens , they would arrest me. YET it’s okay for you to steal from me. I hope to **** Walgreens goes out of business. Good riddance to this trash! Advice?7h agoHi! I am a new RX Shift Supervisor (title just recently changed) and have been working for about two months now for full time. I am interested in Pharmacy but not for retail, I want to work in a hospital. I am okayish with the CVS I work at and everyone there is relatively cool I guess, but I’m also in school. Should I stay and just handle it? Or do I do one thing at a time? (I also don’t really have a back bone with my work either at CVS, I feel like I have to help out) Shopping in the EV8h agoI’m trying to tighten the ol’ budget, and wondering if anyone has thoughts about which store is cheaper for things like shampoo and face wash and allergy medicine and the occasional sweet treat: target, CVS, or Duane Reade? (I’m guessing the answer is not Duane Reade but maybe I’m missing some super secret coupon program.) I haven’t lived here long and am struggling a little bit with how much more expensive the little things, like CeraVe, cost here in the city vs my (small, midwestern) hometown. Thanks for any thoughts! Target and CVS and Duane Reade, oh my8h agoI’m trying to tighten the ol’ budget and be a little more mindful about spending and wondering if anyone has thoughts about which store is cheaper for things like shampoo and face wash and allergy medicine and the occasional sweet treat: target, CVS, or Duane Reade? I haven’t lived here long and am struggling a little bit with how much more expensive the little things, like CeraVe, cost here in the city vs my (small, midwestern) hometown. I live in the East Village for context! Vanilla visa gift card was used before I got to use it9h agoNot sure if this is the right thread. Anyway last year I got a vanilla visa gift card for my mom from CVS in NYC and I was going to take her on a shopping spree. Anyway when she tried to use the card it had a lot of glue stuck that wouldn’t come off with us trying to peel it, so she was unable to swipe it when checking out. She said she would eventually use it for online shopping. Anyway it’s been a year and she hasn’t used it so I was about to order her a new card so she can use it in-store. Just to realize there’s only 5 cents left on the card and there was a charge for $199.95 at a Walgreens in Bayonne, NJ a week after the card was purchased. I know 100% that she didn’t make tha... Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Gel Creme moisturiser no longer available from some retailers?11h agoAnyone else have trouble finding any shops that have it in stock? I can not find it in any priceline, chemist warehouse or basically any pharmacy. I know there's some online stores that still have it but I don't want to have to pay shipping for one item. It won't even come up on the bioderma website anymore, only the cleanser. Has it been discontinued or changed name? Help a gal out please it's my HG Lease Takeover $652/mo Starting July13h agoI’m looking for someone to take over my room in a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house located right behind Waterford Lakes in Bradfordt Village. The room I am looking to give up is the largest bedroom on the second floor. I am looking to release my lease end of June or beginning of July. The available bedroom is upstairs and shares a full bathroom with one other roommate whose room is also on the second floor. There is a third upstairs bedroom, but it’s mostly used for storage. There is also a half bathroom downstairs, and a master bedroom with its own full bathroom. The upstairs loft/common area would be shared between just 1 other, and you’d have plenty of freedom to store items or decor... Why has chocolate gotten so much more expensive?18h agoI keep budgets and spreadsheets with the price of things at various stores, and the price of chocolate has SKYROCKETED. Cocoa powder at most stores is upwards of $6 for the store brand, and even Trader Joe’s (which, for reasons I cannot determine, has been much more resilient to the chocolate price explosion) has gone up almost 20% in the last year alone. A bar of Lindt chocolate at my CVS is 8.29, and it’s not much better at other locations. ****, the \*Walmart\* is selling single Ghirardelli bars for \~$5. I remember not too long ago these were in the $2-3 range, and at this point most popular protein bars are higher calorie per dollar than chocolate, which is crazy to me because prot... "Access denied" to CVS-sponsored immunization program?18h agoHi all, I'm working on completing the required training to become an immunizer but am unable to access the APhA tech immunizer program. I'm using the link that's in MyDocs ([https://apha.docebosaas.com/learn/learning-plans/1627/pharmacy-based-immunization-administration-by-pharmacy-technicians-hosted-by-cvs](https://apha.docebosaas.com/learn/learning-plans/1627/pharmacy-based-immunization-administration-by-pharmacy-technicians-hosted-by-cvs)), is this maybe an old link that's no longer functional? I also already have my NABP profile linked. The APhA website says to contact your hosting company if you're having issues accessing the course, but I'm not even sur... What are my chances?19h agoHello everyone! I don’t usually post on here but now that it’s getting close to application season, I figured I should get some opinions on how my application looks. I was pre-med for many years but decided to switch to pharmacy more because I loved learning about drugs and how drugs interact with different people. This is mainly due to the research I did which showed me how powerful drugs can really be and the content we learned in a biochemistry 2 class that I took. Now onto my application: Background: Michigan resident, attend regular state school, Arab immigrant, first generation GPA: 4.0 Major: Biochemistry Extracurriculars: \-TA for introductory organic chemistry and potent... :‹ Need help choosing film + beginner photography advice19h agoᯓ𑣲 I just picked up a Pentax Zoom 90-WR camera from a thrift store for $3 my grandfather actually found it for me! I bought a battery, and it turns on, but I’m not sure what type of film it uses. Can it take any film, or does it need a specific kind? I’m also looking for recommendations on good film brands and where to buy film, both in stores and online. I’m 17 and on a budget, so I’m hoping for affordable options—my mom said she’d help, but nothing too expensive. I’m really interested in pursuing photography professionally, especially street and nature photography. I want to practice as much as I can before saving up for a professional camera. Also, what’s the best... The Seamstress of Main Street20h ago**I. The Yellow Miles** Oakhaven isn’t a ghost town; it’s a town that holds its breath. If you drive through at noon, it looks like a postcard. The brickwork on Main Street is Victorian, the flower baskets hanging from the black iron lampposts are always watered, and the windows of the local businesses are polished to a high shine. But there is a specific minute—somewhere between 8:59 and 9:00 PM—when the atmosphere curdles. The shopkeepers don't just close; they flee. You’ll see Mr. Gable at the hardware store fumbling with his deadbolts, his hands shaking so hard the keys chime like a death knell. He doesn’t look at the street. He looks at his own feet. By 9:05 PM, the ... Multiple major cruise lines have published policies saying their cabin fridges are not suitable for temperature-sensitiv...21h agoBiotech Cold chain professional here. This comes up a lot and most people carrying injectable medications on cruises are simply unaware of it, so worth laying out clearly. **What the cruise lines actually say** Carnival — the world's largest cruise operator — states in its published passenger documentation: *"Staterooms on a number of ships are equipped with non-stocked mini bar units which are designed to maintain the temperature of beverages. Please do not use these units to store medications that have specific temperature requirements."* Norwegian Cruise Line states directly in its medical policy: *"Cabin minibars are not suitable for storing temperature-sensiti... Photo orders on Mother’s Day weekend21h agoPretty much just a rant post but I am so sick and tired of our photo system, especially during holidays. I’ve called the help desk multiple times and so have my coworkers when this occurs, yet, it’s never fixed when we need it the most and I have to take horrible backlash from so many customer every time. It’s draining me. Over the last few days we had an influx of orders for Mother’s Day/the promotional stuff cvs advertises. It was so far so good until apparently yesterday. That being said, I walked in this morning drowning in these orders with people being told (both by some of my coworkers AND the advertising of same day pickup) that their order would be ready in like an hour. ... Stores in SWFL?23h agoI was wondering how someone might get a pulse on retail deliveries to local stores. I’d imagine the people making the delivery tell family and take a cut, or people just stake out the store to find out. When you’re talking thousands of dollars of profit, people will do anything. I thought I might have some luck at the Walmarts, target, costco, cvs, Walgreens, etc this time of year before the vacationers come and after the seasonal residents have left. I’d love if anyone can share tips of how they managed to snag a retail delivery. I’m not too into the hobby but my brother loves it, and I’d love to buy a few boxes at the actual retail price. The craze over these cards has gone... Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
