Normal after two days of doxycycline?

3h ago

The first image is after two days (4 doses) of doxy and you can see some gunk on the piercing. The second image image is before doxy when my earlobe was swollen and hot to the touch. My ear is pretty achy all around and I have a bit of a headache, but it no longer seems hot to the touch. I have 6 doses of doxy left. I got my piercing about two months ago and the metal is titanium. I've used multiple different types of sterile saline spray to clean, including CVS brand, a local grocery store brand (which had a spray like a firehose and hurt my ear), and now NeilMed fine mist piercing spray. Other than that, it does get wet in the shower. Any help and/or reassurance would be great &am...

Tennessee SB2040/HB1959

A reminder that when we try to even the playing field for pharmacies across the US, CVS starts a fear mongering campaign and threatens to close 134 stores. Pharmacies, Pharmacy Business Managers, and insurance companies need to be split up across the United States. Let’s remind them our healthcare system is not a monopoly for greedy corporations. https://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/114/Bill/SB2040.pdf

Certain Generic???

4h ago

Hello, I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I have a question regarding a specific generic Pristiq… Does Teva Pharmaceuticals make a decent generic Pristiq 50 MG that does come with the nausea, dizziness, and fatigue? I had decent success with Breckinridge Pharma. and a better experience with Lupin Pharma., but I want to trial and error Teva Pharma. to rule out all my options. I have a great pharmacy team at CVS who understands the struggles of finding the right manufacturer of generic drugs that surrounds antidepressants and are working diligently to find what works for me. Any advice/recommendations will be greatly appreciated ahead of time! Thanks in advance? \- OP

Opinions on if I should make a complaint regarding wrong information being given out at another pharmacy?

4h ago

I'm actually a hospital pharmacist but I do locum for a few community pharmacies, particularly Boots. My partner and I had to make use of the pharmacy first NI scheme in a local Boots store (one I've locumed in before but not in a good while) for permethrin for scabies. My partner got one 30g permethrin tube for both of us and told to come back in 7 days for the other dose. I went in to see if I could get the second tubes today as Tuesday is a bank holiday (in NI) and we wouldn't be able to get it closer to the time. The counter staff member very rudely started going off at me about it to me saying that one application was all that was needed and we couldn't have anothe...

Decant Haul and Heretic Review!

5h ago

My ScentSplitdotcom (one of my two go to decant sites) order came in. Packaging was great, it didn’t take long to get here and all my perfumes arrived safe and sound. I am wearing 1861 Naxos by Xerjoff right now as my first try from the decant haul and OMG, as you come to expect from Xerjoff, it’s a projection beast without choking everyone in the elevator. I put it on this morning and went to dollar store to grab some puppy pads. (My 20 year old dog has an arthritic neck and can’t push her doggy door open anymore so she has earned the right to **** on pads again. Ah life, such a full circle mother.) The gals there checking me out both complimented my smell! I was thrilled!! The openin...

The Target boycott is the easiest boycott to maintain as they sell almost nothing of true value

6h ago

I keep seeing stories about how the boycott on Target is "winding down." No, it isn't. They still have done nothing to earn the trust of the consumer or me. But it turns out that I actually don't miss Target even a little bit. I will admit, I am privileged that there are like 4 other grocery stores and 2 pharmacies as close or closer to me than the nearest Target. So yeah, my title is a bit hyperbolic. But now that I've decentered Target, I am simply... buying less. I used to keep a list of stuff that was most convenient to get at Target, then make an order and inevitably I'd get a bunch of snack foods too. Or I'd go there in person, grab what I needed, an...

Was there an offical company that invented the snake/water wiggler

7h ago

I was just thinking about those slippery, water-filled tube toys (aka water snakes/weenies) and realized they just... exist? I feel like everyone born between 1980 and 2010 had at least five of these, but I’ve never seen a commercial for them, and there’s no "Official Water Wiggler" brand that I can find. They just always seemed to appear out of thin air in the $1 bin at CVS or in a dentist’s treasure chest. Does this toy actually have an inventor, or did they just collectively spawn in toy stores one day in the 90s? Every time I try to look it up, I find a bunch of generic patents from random companies or that dangerous Wham-O sprinkler from the 70s, but nothing on the clas...

WE NEED PBM REFORM

8h ago

THIS is why we need PBM reform>> Imagine that you get Aetna insurance (a CVS Health company), and one day you get sick. You have a “choice” where you want your prescription filled, but in order to get insurance coverage, you have your doctor send your prescription to CVS Pharmacy (a CVS Health company) where drug coverages paid by your insurance are “negotiated” by CVS Caremark (a CVS Health company). So they force you use their pharmacies for insurance coverage at all and then instead of using a neutral third party to fairly negotiate drug coverages, they use a company under the same corporate umbrella. So SB2040/HB1959 or the “Freedom, Access, and Integrity in ...

Finally promoted to customer

10h ago

Well I didn’t understand why people made posts like these until I worked for CVS for a few months (pharmacy side.) I’m finally free! Going to another job for a small bump in pay but way more opportunity and better treatment from what I’ve heard from my reference :3 No more toxic lead tech that plays favorites (and pharmacists that ignore it), no more suffering because of hour cuts and US getting blamed for being behind, no more getting cursed out by patients that don’t understand how a pharmacy works or the concept of eating lunch apparently. No more getting evil looks from pharmacists because I won’t stay until close because other people called out. (Yes I know callouts happen a...

Highest Cashback Checking

12h ago

I have a discover checkings account and it is the dream account to have, besides the fact that the only way you can deposit cash is through Walmart of all places. I wish they took the same approach capital one does to depositing cash, where you can just deposit cash at your local cvs or Walgreens, but it is how it is. It's just that the only way I can use my discover account is by transferring my money on my capital one account after depositing since I would much rather deposit money at my local CVS than Walmart, and it really makes the world of a difference. My question is, what is the next best cashback checking account I can have? I know high cashback checking accounts normally d...

Papilocare Vaginal Gel in Philippines

13h ago

Hi everyone! My OB-GYN recently prescribed Papilocare for me, and I’ll need to use it for the next six months. I’ve been trying to find where I can buy it at the most affordable price. So far, the only place I’ve seen it available locally is on Watsons PH website. I’ve also noticed a few listings on Shopee, but I’m a bit hesitant to order from there since I’m not sure which sellers are legit. Since I’ll be using it long-term, I’m really hoping to find the cheapest or most affordable option available. If anyone knows where I can buy it at a better price, whether from a trusted online store or a physical pharmacy. I’d really appreciate your recommendations. Also, does anyo...

Baby items

14h ago

Hi everyone, We’re planning a family trip to Sri Lanka and will be traveling with an 11-month-old baby. Our rough route is: Sigiriya → Kandy → Ella → South coast (Mirissa/Weligama area) I had a few questions from parents or locals who might know: Baby supplies • Are diapers, baby wipes, and baby food easy to find in supermarkets or pharmacies in these areas? • Any good supermarket chains or stores we should look for? Milk / food • Is fresh milk easily available in stores? • Does milk need to be boiled before giving to a baby, or are there packaged options? • Any recommended baby food brands or stores? Medicine / doctors • If needed, are there clinics or pedi...

HOMA vote coming on St. Patrick's Day

14h ago

On February 24th, City Council had a preliminary vote to move forward with a proposal for [HOMA](https://bellevuewa.gov/HOMA) upzones across the city, and an another vote that finalizes the plan will be happening on March 17th.  Housing Opportunity in Mixed-use Areas (HOMA) is a Council-initiated plan to promote residential capacity. Many of the growth-related changes are coming from the state legislature, but HOMA is specific to Bellevue only.  Density will be added through rezoning, increasing heights of the zoning categories, reducing setbacks, increasing the allowable footprint of buildings, eliminating stepbacks for the upper floors, etc.  HOMA will affect neighborhood centers ...
