Will my RXM know if I apply to another pharmacist position internally?

1h ago

Hey everyone, Quick question — if a staff pharmacist applies and interviews for another staff position at a different store (in another district), do their current pharmacy manager or district manager get notified? Like, does it automatically alert them that you applied/interviewed, or can the process happen without them knowing unless an offer is made? Just trying to understand how it usually works. Thanks!

confused by these messages about my vyvanse

2h ago

soni’m on vyvanse 40mg and it took over three weeks to get insurance approval this time, and i was rationing out my spare 20mg when i ran out of the 40’s until i ran out of them all for about a week. my psychiatrist ordered some 20’s for me to see if they’d get approved in the meantime so i could have something while i waited, but long story short she sent to the wrong cvs location so i had to get that cancelled so the right one could fill it, but the order (for the 20’s) just kept saying “not filled” and only showed as ordered at the wrong location. while corresponding with her to ask to order it again at the right place, the 40’s were approved, so i picked them up (yesterd...

What pharmacies do you guys use here?

2h ago

I’m curious what pharmacy everyone goes to in the downtown Syracuse area. I know we have a major lack of drug stores and pharmacies in the area which is very unfortunate, but every pharmacy I’ve tried here genuinely loses my prescription every time I go to pick it up, has closed due to bankruptcy, or has extremely long wait times. Just getting my regular prescriptions is like some kind of hazing ritual here. If anyone knows a small pharmacy / local business I can switch to that would be much appreciated ! because every

Was given 37 extra methylphenidate with prescription

3h ago

I went to pick up my daughter’s methylphenidate prescription and the store gave me her prescription which was 60 pills. Then after looking at her prescription, I realized the prescription was not verified due to the label not being initialed as it has been in the past. Then, in the same bag, the pharmacy included the original medication dispensing bottle with 37 additional pills as well. We spoke with the pharmacy manager regarding this, but should we talk to someone in Walgreens corporate as well? Edit: We did not return the medication to the store. Instead I disposed of it at my place of employment as I work in healthcare.

4h ago

Hey all, I'm actively applying for mid/level and senior data engineering roles in the US and have hardly gotten one call back so far. I'm not sure if it is my experience or the market. On the flip side, i hear a lot of Senior data engineers getting organic outreach from recruiters on linkedin. Any advice is appreciated! Cheers

CVS vs Walgreens

Hi, I got a position as a pharmacy intern in cvs and Walgreens. Im confused about which one to choose. CVS has one hour commute and full time but Walgreens has only 20 mins commute and part time. Please suggest which would be a better opportunity?

Pharmacies and Circle Medical prescriptions

5h ago

Hi everyone! I’m in NJ and was recently diagnosed with ADHD through Circle Medical. I’m meeting in person this Friday to discuss starting meds. I’ve heard some pharmacies have issues filling telehealth stimulant prescriptions, and I know there’s been a shortage. For anyone in New Jersey or just in general, which pharmacies have you had success with? I’m looking into Costco (no membership currently) and will be paying out of pocket — curious if that’s a good option and if they will have Meds in stock. Heard CVS is definitely a no go.

Screwed over for vaccine bonus

5h ago

Today everyone in the pharmacy was checking to make sure the bonus was coming in. We were told several times by the pharmacy manager that the bonus was for all techs, not just vaccinators, because it was a team effort to get people scheduled, in, and vaccinated. However, only the people certified to give vaccines have gotten a bonus and it's $150 more than expected. No one else has gotten the bonus. We've just been silently screwed over and I was really relying on that bonus. Did this happen at any other store or is this just an issue here?

Kansas City Costco being turned into a Business Center 2026

5h ago

PUT IT IN THE SUBURBS - DON'T REPLACE AN ACTIVE, COMMUNITY GROCERY STORE IN A POORER PART OF TOWN. WHERE DO I BEGIN??? Kansas City is already a bit of a food desert, lacking any great grocery stores, especially in Midtown...where this Costco magically exists. It serves as a hub for the community, brings taxes into Midtown, and offers many services that local residents desperately need. Costco has been silent, but word from the employees is that they're closing in November to retool and then it'll basically be a restaurant supply store. This is going to strip Midtown of tax revenue, force loyal customers to the suburbs (16+ miles away), and overall be such a bummer for the...

Pharmacy technicians – would you choose this role again?

9h ago

I've been a tech for about 4 years now (retail chain). Some days I genuinely like the job – helping patients, the clinical knowledge, even the chaos keeps it interesting. But other days I'm googling "career change for pharmacy tech." The pay is fine. But for the stress, the understaffing, and the way some patients treat you like a fast food worker, it's hard not to feel like shelf stackers at grocery stores make more with way less liability. If you could go back, would you still become a tech? Or would you pick something else? For the ones who've been doing this 10+ years, does it get better? Or do you wish you jumped ship earlier? Trying to figure out if t...

Prescribed adderall XR but Mydayis was filled

12h ago

I have been taking 25mg of adderall XR for about a year now. Changed my life btw. Just recently switched from Costco pharmacy to CVS, because Costco was consistently out of it. A couple weeks ago, I picked up my script and ofc, I’ve been taking it. I feel the meds working for my ADHD symptoms, but it feels different. Feels not quite as strong, I feel like I’m crashing earlier, but I’ll get into bed and can’t sleep for what feels like much longer than normal. I just checked my bottle and instead of my usual 25mg adderall XR, I have 25 mg of mydayis??? Is this normal?

Boots launches in-store weight loss injection service

14h ago

Hey everyone, Just came across this interesting update from [Pharmacy UK](https://www.pharmacyuk.com/launch-of-in-store-weight-loss-injection-service-by-boots/) Basically, Boots is now offering face-to-face consultations and private weight-loss injections (like tirzepatide & semaglutide) directly in selected pharmacies. Pharmacists will do clinical assessments in person instead of it just being an online process for these meds. I think this could make access a lot more comfortable for people who want proper in-person support rather than dealing with digital forms or online portals only. Curious what people here think, will this help normalise GLP-1 treatments, or are there concern...

Job search

15h ago

I’ve been jobless for a little over a month and right now I just need something part time. I’m wondering if I should still consider being a pharmacy tech versus like being a server or cashier. I’d prefer pharmacy tech just because but I’m looking for either a grocery store or something remote, if possible. I feel like I’m going to get overlooked no matter where I apply since I only have 4 months of experience being a certified pharmacy tech. I live in the Dallas area and I feel like if I just am patient a little longer I’ll get a grocery store position. Maybe. It’s just frustrating. Anyone know of any remote positions hiring for part time right now? Thanks.
