Buy in chain pharmacies?

3h ago

I heard recently that some chain pharmacies are offering or planning to offer buy in store with a consult in the store. Is this currently an option with any pharmacies? With my schedule I’d prefer to just go in person instead of having deliveries rejected etc. where I live it’s not practical for deliveries and when I tried it before I had hassle. Thanks everyone :)

Why many businesses in Kigali open with promise but close too soon, the working capital problem! (READ ON X/TWITTER)

**Why many businesses in Kigali open with promise but close too soon, the working capital problem!** *(SOURCE: https://x.com/josephryarasa/status/2033425631505981860?s=46)* There is an increasing a pattern in the business environment in Rwanda that deserves serious reflection. It is not uncommon to visit a restaurant in Kigali today and then return a few months later only to discover that it no longer exists. The same experience happens in other sectors. One may visit a shop at Kigali Heights, find it operating well at first, but after some time the business has closed or been replaced by another tenant. The same situation can also be seen in places like the Car Free Zone in Kisementi, wh...

Tennessee’s FAIR Rx Act (SB 2040 / HB 1959): Reform or Risk for Pharmacy Access?

5h ago

In early 2026, the Tennessee State Capitol has become the front line of a fierce battle over the future of how people get their medicine. At the center are Senator Bobby Harshbarger and Representative Rick Scarbrough, the primary sponsors of the FAIR Rx Act (SB 2040 / HB 1959). The bill essentially tells large healthcare corporations: You can be the insurance middleman, or you can be the pharmacy, but you can’t be both. The legislation targets pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) that also own retail pharmacies. Under the proposal, companies would be prohibited from owning both businesses at the same time in Tennessee, forcing them to separate those operations if the law passes. But ...

Manager refusing my transfer because I didn’t tell him months in advance – did I do something wrong?

6h ago

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice. I currently work at CVS as a Shift Supervisor. Recently I decided that I want to transfer to another store because I’m planning to go back to school and start taking classes and certifications related to my major (data science / databases). The other location would work better for my schedule. The problem is my current store manager is not happy about it. When I told him I wanted to transfer and gave my two-week notice for the store, he said that since I’m a supervisor I should have told him months in advance that I was planning to apply for a transfer. Now he’s acting kind of petty and saying I was disrespectful because I applied for the ...

Weekend bullsh*t

7h ago

Hey guys! I am on here quite frequently as of recently. I really just want to know the inside scoop of how weekends are scheduled at your store. My full time people work one Sunday a month. I am responsible for every other Saturday, as well as every other Sunday. Another girl works every Saturday. Another girl works every other Saturday. We have 3 techs on Saturdays, and only two on Sundays. One tech work 9-5 on Saturday, one works 9-7, one comes in 11-7. Sundays are the full day, 10-6. How does your pharmacy do it? Is it even and dispersed? For reference when I first started full timers worked one full weekend a month and that’s it. Now it’s down to one Sunday with the assu...

The Truth About CBD Isolate: Hype or Helpful?

8h ago

In the school of life, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the most popular intoxicating cannabis compound, is like the popular kid everyone knows by name. The center of attention, always getting talked about, and highly sought after. Cannabidiol (CBD), on the other hand, gets a little less love. It’s more like the quiet honor student: low-key, non-intoxicating, rarely chasing the spotlight, but reliable, balanced, and quietly keeping everything in check. Its standout benefits have compelled many brands to offer CBD as a standalone product (otherwise known as CBD isolate), but is it actually worth the hype? # What Is CBD Isolate? CBD isolate is a concentrate that contains only cannabidiol, whic...

Finally found in the wild...

After hearing that a diecast GR86 could be found in the ~1:43 (6in length) scale at Walgreens or CVS, I went hunting. Ive traveled for work all over the US and tried to stop at drug stores to look. None found. Then I went to Lowes hardware and happened to see a display of cars. I said "I have to see..." and sure enough as I looked around, a Toyota emblem popped out at me. This black GR86 was there. Finally, by happen stance, I found it. (Lighting looks gray as I tried to brighten my dark room, but its gloss black) My plan is to tape off all the correct spots and airbrush the orange sunburst to match my 23 10AE. It's good because the black is a perfect base coat.

Planning to ship my POS to Play store and App store

10h ago

Hi guys, I’ve built a basic POS like system, though it doesn’t currently print receipts or BIR-compliant invoices. I designed it primarily as a sales tracking, inventory management, and rewards system for our pharmacy. I created this to help my wife look up prices and process sales more quickly, which is essential given our large inventory. It’s also helpful for customers on a limited budget; for example, if someone only has 500 pesos for fever medication, we can easily calculate what they can afford. It has significantly boosted our productivity—what used to take 5 to 10 minutes now only takes about 3mins but will always depends on the quanitiy of the sale. This isn't a bulky...

Any potential here?

Canon t2i (all I can afford at the moment but I love her). I know I need to work on ISO control and limiting noise (admittedly I like noise in a photo as a digital aesthetic, but I want to be able to control it). I do want to try photographing people more, but sadly I am a bit of a loner right now, I will try to figure it out. https://preview.redd.it/7dcj5xos8gpg1.jpg?width=5184&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15cf937def3d1ae032c0026cf2da7a3fda367ea0 https://preview.redd.it/hbsk0mgi8gpg1.jpg?width=5184&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3172a099235aa88a736a130ce401f9166dc35ae https://preview.redd.it/sj9idlgi8gpg1.jpg?width=5184&format=pjpg&au...

Is this good for starters?

The Second Life of America’s Shuttered Pharmacies

Amazon Pharmacy and other players are destroying the mid-tier corporate pharmacies. I'd like to see more Wa-Wa style stores that maybe have some prepared food and/or groceries etc but some are being converted to car washes etc. More book stores?
