Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the CVS Pharmacy Latest Community Discussions About CVS PharmacyFree Pharmacology App6h agoHey y’all! I recently updated my pharmacology trivia app called Million Dollar Mechanism that’s primarily aimed at pharmacists, clinicians, and pharmacy tech trainees. It’s a free app and hope y’all would appreciate it. Right now it’s designed as a “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” game but with random questions. I plan to add some more modes to the game along with more questions (board-specific questions, NAPLEX, NCLEX review for RNs, etc.) Let me know what y’all think, I’d appreciate any feedback! iOS (Apple) link: [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/million-dollar-mechanism/id6761089090](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/million-dollar-mechanism/id6761089090) Google Play Store... Why do people take this job so seriously (long rant)6h agoFor starters I do think taking any job serious and being responsible is important but only to a certain point. Im referring to front store in this rant, I helped out in pharmacy a lot and agree it’s a lot more serious and important than FS. Starting as a shift supervisor in college, I had a middle aged guy as my manager who was relaxed about schedule conflicts and taught and told us to cut some corners that made, what I thought, pointless tasks faster and more efficient. He ended up leaving and my new manager was around my age and graduated from the same college as me a year earlier so I thought they’d be the same as me, doing this until a better opportunity came alone. Well I was wrong,... Disabled and divorced after 16 years7h agoIt was 3-21-2025 and the 16th anniversary of one of the best days of my life. It was one of the only things that day that was positive. I had my spine fused at L-4 and L-5 on 11-06-2024 and was in physical therapy and regaining mobility and experiencing less pain and side effects. The problem was that I had developed anemia and had lost about 45 pounds since my surgery. I had been polycythemia "very high red blood cell levels" most of my life and was now so low that I needed blood transfusions to have enough red blood cells to properly oxygenate my body. I was seeing a pathologist who tested me for every disorder that could cause my situation. I had tested negative for everything s... I need help10h agoOK, so it’s been about a month and a week since I started being a pharmacy tech. I’ve never had any experience with medicine or pharmacy before, and this is only my second job. I think I’ve been doing pretty good overall, but there are still a lot of things I struggle with For example, when filling prescriptions, the way I count is kind of like “3 + 2 = 5,” and then I keep adding another 5 instead of counting all 5 at once. I’m not sure if that’s considered slow or not. Another issue I have is TPRs. I know some very basic things, like when I try to refill a prescription and it says “drug not covered” or “insurance not valid,” but anything beyond that I usually strugg... When Government Ignores Problems of Students for Too Long, This Happens11h agoA movement begins. Check out the post on Reddit- https://www.reddit.com/r/Odisha/s/nehGMArQiO Newly certified CPhT in New Orleans—starting advanced compounding in August and looking to connect!12h ago**Hey everyone,** **I recently wrapped up my entry-level program, passed the PTCE, and officially have my CPhT. I did my clinical practicums over at Ochsner and CVS, so I’ve been getting a feel for both the retail and hospital sides of the city.** **I’m heading back to class this August for advanced-level compounding, but my long-term goal is to knock out my science prereqs and head over to Xavier for my Pharm.D.** **I’m really just looking to connect with other local techs to talk shop, swap advice, and build a network—especially if you’re working in compounding, medical review, or research. If you're navigating the NOLA pharmacy scene, or even just balancing tech life ... How does your pharmacy handle register rotation? (Dealing with coworkers who try to skip or shorten their turn)12h agoHey everyone. Do your pharmacies have a set schedule for rotations? At my store, we’re supposed to follow a schedule where each person stays at the register for 2 hours and drop-off for 2 hours. If you guys don't use a schedule, how do you make it work fairly? I’m a new tech in training, and been there for about 6 months now, and I’m really starting to feel like there’s a big problem with teamwork at my location. Even with a schedule in place, people just dont want to be at the register. When it’s their turn, they’ll suddenly disappear to take their 20-30 minute breaks out of nowhere. It completely throws off the rotation and forces whoever is already on the register to st... 🏆 Historic Harlem Garden Suite for 2026 FIFA World Cup Fans 🏆 📍 Jumel Terrace, Harlem / Washington Heights, Man...12h agoFully furnished, private 2‑bedroom garden suite in an owner‑occupied Harlem townhouse, set in the historic Jumel Terrace / Sugar Hill district. Now I get why you guys recommend the use of alum12h agoSo this is a bit of a self review of my progress in wet shaving with my DE razors. I started DE shaving back in February I started with a KCG from the pharmacy before I discovered shaving specialist stores online and fell in the rabbit hole and bought higher end razors such as the muhle rocca (the only $200NZD razor I own) . I have had my fair share of nicks, cuts and irritations while develpoing my experience with the DE razors and was curious to how I really was doing so I boughtt an alum block from aliexpress (Gentleman Eric) and had a shave with my yaqi tachi with a BIC CP installed post shave I moistened and passed that alum block over my face after doing a cold water rinse and absolute... DOPAMINE12h agoOn January 20th, 2029, Donald Trump left office as the President of the United States. On February 11th, 2029, after multiple unsatisfactory social media posts from the former President, various private investigators from multiple parties and corporations leaked documentation, emails, and texts of Donald Trump and REDACTED from the FDA talking about business opportunities and an all new medication, while what it did was never outright named or described they spoke very excitedly of it. On December 13th, 2034, the FDA published a patent and made a public announcement of an affordable over the counter drug that they claimed would “Change the world and possibly destroy the urge to use addict... My LRS bag was pierced 💔12h agoNo point to this post, I’m just super annoyed. I warmed it all up, it was a fresh new bag and the last one I had (I typically order 3 at a time). I hung it on the IV stand I’ve got and was like huh… that’s really weird, it’s dripping. Squeezed it over the sink and lo and behold there’s a tiny puncture - I have no idea when or how it happened (kitty might’ve done it as it was warming in her favorite bowl). As I said, last bag, tomorrow is Sunday and my vet who I’d normally go to to buy one from in an emergency is closed, and shipping will take a few days. Super annoyed!!! If anyone has some advice before I call the local pet store with a pharmacy tomorrow and ask if they w... Just spoke to an EMS person that said that breakthrough seizures are common with people with epilepsy but the funny thing is that I took my Topomax this morning, the reason why I had a seizure yesterday was because we ran out and we were waiting to get it from the pharmacy…Are breakthrough seizures common if your medication isn’t working as well as you think? I think my seizure threshold is WAY lower than I thought originally also I am very sleep deprived so that plays a major role ... What everyday public places create the most invisible accessibility friction for you?15h agoI’ve been thinking a lot about how accessibility conversations often stop at compliance, while things like sensory load, predictability, layout confusion, noise, social pressure, or emotional exhaustion go largely undocumented. Lately I’ve been paying closer attention to everyday spaces like grocery stores, theaters, pharmacies, malls, etc. and noticing how many small environmental details can completely change whether a place feels manageable or draining. So I’m curious: What public places mentally exhaust you before you even walk in? And what specific environmental factors contribute to it? Could be: lighting crowd density unclear signage lack of seating checkout lay... My friendship is emotionally exhausting and I genuinely don’t know if I’m the problem anymore15h agoI (35F) have been friends with my friend “Anna” (36F) for almost 20 years, and lately I’ve been questioning whether this friendship is actually healthy anymore or if I’ve stayed in it mostly because of history and guilt. About a month ago, she messaged me around 5am saying she was in extreme pain and asking if I could bring her medication because she could barely walk. I was asleep. It was my day off. I woke up around 9:20am, and the reason I didn’t immediately panic is because she had already told me before that she’d be leaving town super early that morning. So I honestly assumed she had probably already left by then. I asked what time she was traveling, she replied saying sh...
