My parcel from Indore Dawa Bazar got delayed/lost after reaching Bhopal and now I’m stuck without meds. I already checked multiple pharmacies near AIIMS, Apollo etc and most of them either don’t stock it or say unavailable. If anyone with ADHD in Bhopal knows: \- any pharmacy that currently has stock \- any store that can arrange it on order \- any reliable supplier from Dawa Bazar/Indore please let me know. Prescription available obviously. My Surgery is Next Week and I’m overwhelmed and unprepared.2h agoLast year I was in a car accident. My knee still hasn’t recovered so I’m getting surgery next week. Unlike my surgery last year for another body part I’m unprepared. I haven’t fully completed all the tasks to fully complete my apartment (just moved 5 months ago), like I just set up the internet after nearly 6 months. I have to meal prep but this area I moved to although I like it, doesn’t have the walkability of my old neighborhood. So I usually order my groceries and have them delivered or take the bus. I have to do a produce pickup but I’m trying to find my cheapest options since the discount produce store I wanted to go to was shut down. I’ll probably either go to Aldi via... Title: Prescribed cough syrup that may interact with lithium — should I have been warned?2h agoI take lithium carbonate 1,800 mg/day for bipolar disorder. I went to urgent care for a bad cough and told them my meds during intake. The PA prescribed brompheniramine/pseudoephedrine/dextromethorphan cough syrup, 2 mg/30 mg/10 mg per 5 mL. I picked it up from CVS, which is also the same pharmacy that fills my lithium, so lithium should have been in my profile. Nobody at urgent care or CVS mentioned anything specific about lithium, serotonin syndrome, mood destabilization, mania risk, or monitoring closely. The bottle had generic dizziness/driving warnings, but that’s not really the issue I’m worried about. I looked it up before taking it and saw that dextromethorphan and lithium ca... Did CVS change their coupon policy?2h agoI did the Spend $30, get $20. I used $10 in CVS and C24 (a coupon app) coupons and my receipt said I had to spend $12 more to get $10 ECB. That wasn't the case last time. This was in-store. Did they just change their policy? Thanks!!! Lithium + dextromethorphan/pseudoephedrine cough syrup — should I have been warned about mania /serotonin syndrome ris...2h agoAge/Sex: 27M Diagnoses: Bipolar disorder Height/ Weight: 5’9 230 Medication: Lithium carbonate 1800mg/ day / brompheniramine/pseudoephedrine/dextromethorphan 2 mg/30 mg/10 mg per 5 mL Question: was my lack of medication interaction normal? I went to urgent care for a bad cough and told them my meds during intake, including lithium carbonate. The prescriber was a PA and prescribed brompheniramine-pseudoephedrine-dextromethorphan cough syrup. I picked it up at CVS, and CVS is also the same pharmacy that fills my lithium, so they should have had that in my profile too. Nobody at urgent care or CVS said anything specific about lithium, serotonin syndrome, mood issues, mania risk, o... Estradiol patch supply issues2h agoHi all! I've been fortunate in Northern NewEngland, but now my pharmacy (CVS) is out of my Estradiol patch. How long have people been waiting? Is this a temporary thing? Do I keep taking Progesterone? Will I have any side effects from cessation or will my symptoms come just come back? Sigh. Please read and help me. I know it’s long. I need help!2h agoSo this was a regular day. I woke up and went to therapy. My therapist could tell I wasn’t doing well. I wouldn’t talk and my mood was off. Internally I was struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, which has been normal for me recently, but it’s been passive for the most part. But that day for whatever was just hard. So she obviously knew something was off but didn’t know to wha extent. We finish session and I went home. The thought got more intense and I ended up texting her saying that I think I should go inpatient. After I texted her I accidentally fell asleep. About a hour later I got a phone call that woke me up. It was an unknown number, and I didn’t answer because I... Need perspectives: Walgreens vs CVS before pharmacy school3h agoI currently work at Walgreens as a pharmacy tech and honestly really like my team and feel comfortable there but this store is a bit far from home. I recently got an offer from a CVS that’s much closer to me, and I’m conflicted because the commute would be better and I liked the pharmacy manager I interviewed with. At the same time, I feel guilty leaving a team that I genuinely like, especially since I’m still relatively new. I’m also starting pharmacy school next semester, so my availability will mostly be weekends. Here's a little recap from memory lane.4h agoSorrento Therapeutics Boom List 1. What Australian pharmacists can do in an emergency without a prescription — and how it compares to the US system.5h agoI've been building emergency preparedness tools and went deep on medication prep research. Found some genuinely useful information about the Australian system, but then looked up the US equivalent and the contrast was stark enough that I think it's worth sharing here. In Australia, there are three separate provisions that apply in emergencies: 1. The 3-day rule. Any pharmacist can supply up to 3 days of most prescription medications (Schedule 4, non-controlled) without a prescription, without contacting your doctor, if you've been on the medication before and failure to supply would cause harm. You pay full private price, but you get the medication. 2. Continued Dispensing.... This is Why I Take Liquor Orders Only.5h agoDont do any Shop & Deliver outside of liquor stores or the occassional CVS/Walgreens Plan B order. Drunk people can be very generous. Dude was a trip. Things I Wish I Brought and Will Pack Next Trip5h agoI made a little list of things that would have made our trip a little easier/more comfortable and thought I would share in case they could help you. 1-Coffee and Tea We’ll bring individual pour over coffee packets and our favorite decaf tea. We had a hard time finding good drip coffee in certain areas. One hotel only had pods/machine made coffee and others didn’t start service until after 7. We would be awake super early because of time change so it was impossible to find coffee shops open. I also enjoy having decaf tea at night to wind down and had a difficult time obtaining that as most options are green tea. 2-Sandal/Slides All the advice on shoes it to bring good walking sho... What's actually essential for your face skin care?6h agoOk, I know many girls use a lot but lots of expensive products for their skin, especially their face, but I am 23 and I'm trying to take care of myself but have no idea on what I need. Many times I saw people doing a list of at least 8 products for their face and I always ask myself "is it really necessary?? That much??" Mind you my skin is dry but becomes easily oily on the nose, I think I have a condition ony face (It's not acne guys) I have to yet fix it, and I use a soap/foam to clean my face, toner and face cream (only for night with hyaluronic acid) and I use it everyday. I used to use an oil too but it has become so expensive I can't afford it, but basically... There's Something Wrong in Brittlebow, Oregon. My Sister Never Left. [Part 1]6h agoMy sister Carrie went missing on September 14th of last year. She's thirty-one, five-four, with shoulder-length brown hair, and a small scar above her left eyebrow from a bike accident when she was nine. She’s a documentary filmmaker. Not famous by any means, but genuinely good at it. I noticed that she always had this strange ability to make people trust her on camera within minutes of meeting them. I'd seen it happen more times than I could count. She'd tilt her head, ask one honest question, and people would open up like they'd been waiting their entire lives for somebody to ask. I used to tease her about it, calling it her superpower. She'd just shrug and say,... There's Something Wrong in Brittlebow, Oregon. My Sister Never Left.
