Any insurances cover URO-MP?

1h ago

Literally sobbing at the pharmacy because with GoodRx I’m paying $140 out of pocket and I’m taking it around three times daily depending on pain. I could have to spend this every twenty days if I flare bad. Is there any other pharmacy that like cost plus or hers that sells this for cheaper than I’m getting with just a GoodRx? My insurance doesn’t cover it and I’m not sure if anyone else has it covered. I had even transferred from giant $140 to cvs at $96 and by the time cvs actually got the transfer (five days later) cvs changed the price to $140 and they won’t make any exceptions of course. I’m having to buy this with my credit card because I had to take off multiple days from...

Might have to miss a week+

1h ago

I changed insurance this year from United to Aetna and they both use CVS Caremark for pharmacy, so I didnt realize I would have to get a new pre auth for my script. I’ve been frantically trying to get in touch with my doctor to get the pre auth, but can’t get through via phone or medical app. I’ve been trying since last week I’m supposed to take my next dose tomorrow night (Thursday) and then I need to leave in the middle of the night on Friday to catch a flight for a week out of town. I’m so stressed that I won’t get the meds in time. I was thinking to send the script to an Utah Walgreens (where I’m traveling) but I’m worried it will complicate things worse. I can’t even...

HRT Patch Shortage

1h ago

This HRT shortage is driving me insane! I've been on Sandoz for the last year and having been doing amazing on that brand of patches but CVS is completely out so stock in. I checked the CVS app and all CVS pharmacies within a 25 mile radius are out of stock and don't know when they are getting it in. I got put on Llyana for a month and didn't love it but pushed through. I transferred to my grocery pharmacy and was fortunate to get 3 month supply of estrogen patches covered by insurance but they only had Mylan and doing even worse with that brand (low mood and anxiety, fatigue etc) I called around other pharmacies and everyone is either out of stock or only have Mylan brand. I...

I don't think I can keep working anymore. I'm not sure what to do.

2h ago

I'm so tired of repeating my problems. Been a pharmacy tech 7 years, no issues whatsoever with being taciturn while staying engaged and intensely focused on work tasks. Suddenly in this pharmacy, I am ostracized both socially and with work-related matters. I have listened to a tech say that an employee who quit "probably had a learning disability." I had a pharmacist get up in my face because I stopped for 2 minutes to talk to the pharmacist, when I have directly observed pharmacists at this store spend up to 10 minutes speaking about non-work related matters. I raised an issue regarding harassment in the pharmacy, and the pharmacy manager simply says "I disagree" - ...

Dextroamphetamine ER Generic Manufacturer Questions

3h ago

Long story sorta short: I'm on 30 mg of Dextroamphetamine ER/XR 2x15 mg, my psych loves sending meds to the wrong place, and now I have Actavis instead of Mallinckrodt as I didn't get it filled at my usual Costco pharmacy and got it filled at CVS. I was thinking that it might be decent to try it out because I thought that that's what I used to be on years ago (it turns out it was Teva), which I felt was stronger and better than the Mallinckrodt: Teva > Mallinckrodt. Now I have the Actavis, which upon reading up on Reddit, people are not fans of, and I am noticing that it is definitely a bit weaker than the Mallinckrodt (I think, I am going to assess tomorrow). A...

MISHAWAKA, Ind. The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office charged Dustin Pate on Tuesday with the following 11 charges for the incident on Monday that started in Granger and ended in Mishawaka. Good ol USA: the copay for my Tremfya went from $300 per month last year to nearly $4,400 this year

3h ago

No change in insurance or dosage, just corporate greed. Thankfully I was able to get copay assistance last year and I’ll have some this year, but this is absurd. I called Aetna and Tremfya and both representatives I spoke with gave me a list of charities I could apply to and get on a waiting list for payment assistance - this is pathetic. State employee with a decent but not lavish income and the solution to rising medication costs is to tell me to beg to get on a waiting list so I might be able to get some reimbursement. Evil and disgusting. The main purpose of this post is to share what I learned today about a company called Prudent RX from CVS specialty pharmacy. They work with some p...

Help for stools or something to sit on at the pharmacy

3h ago

I am trying to get a pharmacist position at a pharmacy. But I have really low iron and it causes me to get really tired/dizzy when I stand too much. I really NEED a stool or something to sit on or else I get really lightheaded. I'm extremely worried that the store managers won't allow it. I have been delaying everything due to this fear.

How is the pharmacy? Like compared to CVS, etc. Loosing my insurance so shopping around. Just don’t want to deal with it if it’s a big hassle.

When to order new box with community pharmacy / timing with insurance

4h ago

As of recent, my insurance now covers Zepbound because I was approved for a weight management program in the state of FL. So far I have gotten one box of Zep, and I have a few refills available in the CVS app. I am not really sure when I am able to order it though because my insurer noted my next available fill date for coverage as the 28th. Am I still able to request a refill and then pick up the meds on/after the 28th? Or is it best to just wait until the 28th to do the refill? I am asking because I want to make sure my pharmacy has the appropriate stock, so it would be nice to be able to submit for a refill a little early, but again the insurance coverage has its own rules for how many da...

Has this helped anyone - Restful Legs by Hyland - homeopathic remedy

5h ago

A friend sent me these two products, curious if anyone has seen any relief from this and specifically if it makes serious RLS worse in any way. Some sleep products like Tylenol PM make RLS symptoms worse? The civilian population does not have access to potassium iodide

5h ago

The well-known potassium iodide is the tablet-based medication administered to people to prevent atomic radiation from making them sick and killing them. I did some research and learned that the civilian population in Chile, and generally in our Latin American countries, doesn't have access to potassium iodide sold in pharmacies. It's only available if the state has reserves—which they may not—and is stored in secure government facilities for limited hospital use. In other words, only the elite have the possibility of receiving potassium iodide in the event of a military conflict between major powers that escalates into nuclear war. What do you think?

My co workers are extremely rude

5h ago

I got this amazing job at a local pharmacy in my town, it’s a pretty nice pharmacy, and it was a lot better than working at a corporate place like cvs. But one thing I realized is they are extremely rude. The pharmacy is owned by a husband and wife who also work together. They dog me out when I make extremely small mistakes that wouldn’t even have a major effect. It’s super tense working here and when I try to have conversations with people it’s extremely weird. What’s even worse is both the husband and wife will tell me to do things a different way so they’ll dog me out if one of them is watching what I’m doing and I do it a separate way then “their way”. It really *****...

Adderall shortages and pharmacies

5h ago

I am newly diagnosed with ADHD and looking to change pharmacies because my current one (hyvee) says they are out of stock of Adderall and have no timeline on when they will get it back. My concern is that even if they do get it in stock it will be a recurring issue. I've seen other posts on here about good pharmacies, but I have Tricare and they **** so my options are limited to Walgreens, CVS, Costco, and that's about it. I've heard good things about costco but I don't have a membership or any need for one and its far from where I live. I've also heard that walgreens isn't the best option, leaving me with CVS. I was wondering if anyone has had issues with them ...

Bombshell Congressional Report on PBMs

6h ago

Did you all see this on CVS/Caremark? I knew that PBM monopolies were squeezing independent pharmacies out, but had no idea there were potentially criminal acts to restrict them from working with hubs! How did they get away with this?

CVS: A Quiet Base Near Resistance, With Fundamentals Starting to Matter Again

7h ago

CVS is an “everything healthcare” business packaged into one stock: a massive retail pharmacy footprint, a pharmacy-benefits manager that negotiates drug pricing and manages plans, and an insurance arm through Aetna. The market often treats it like a boring drugstore, but the real bet is whether CVS can coordinate insurance + pharmacy + care delivery well enough to improve margins while keeping members and customers sticky. The core drivers are straightforward. Insurance profitability is the big swing factor (medical costs running hotter than expected can crush margins fast), the PBM business lives under constant pricing and regulatory scrutiny, and the retail side fights reimbursement ...
