I just finished my sophomore year and applied to several CVS and Walgreens locations to gain experience for my pharmacy school applications. I have two main hurdles: I have no prior experience, and I can only work for three months before returning to my out-of-state college. However, I have total availability for any shift/days. After one rejection, I’m worried my limited timeframe and lack of experience will make hiring difficult. Does anyone have advice or suggestions for other companies or roles where I can gain relevant experience? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated!

For Medicare only- I am not sure when the rule changed but it looks like Insulin for pumps is billed under Part B as Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Insulin for injections is covered under Part D. I’m having a heck of a time getting my CVS pharmacy to understand they must bill my insulin under Medicare part B as DME and I can’t find a DME company that carries insulin. It’s been 3 months of this and they want to charge me over $700 for a three month supply of insulin since they can’t understand how to bill insulin with a pump. I’m trying to find out if anyone else has encountered this who is on Medicare and if you have any ideas on how to handle this?

Since the new year, my Zepbound has been $99/month through MHPB Standard with a prior authorization. I tried using the Lilly savings card, but CVS told me MHPB has their own savings card that already brings the price down to $99. (For reference, I was paying $50/month in 2025.) I did RX Tech Exam. Which according to my state GA and PTCB qualifies me to take the PTCB. To my knowledge PTCB is like the gold standard. I work at a grocery store with a pharmacy. One of the techs told me take NHA it is easier. But my honest question is...is it as recognized? Would most places hire you with NHA and not PTCB? Whats your honest opinion?

I have been seeing posts about how different manufacturers of generic adderall are trash and i finally got around to asking my pharmacist which brands I’ve been getting so I can keep track. Two months in a row I got amerigen? And one month I got lanett since switching pharmacies (cvs was out of stock 3 months ago when my dr increased my dose to 20mg XR) Lanett was ok but not life changing I didn’t feel super focused but it didn’t feel like I was taking a sugar pill either.
