Hi everyone, I’m from Indonesia and I’m interested in building a small online pharmacy business, but with very limited capital. I’m curious how small pharmacies usually start: - Do you begin with a physical store first? - Or do you go online and use software to manage inventory and orders? I’m especially interested in how people handle stock, expired medicines, and daily sales when starting small. Any advice or experience would really help. Thanks!

Ever since Ten Acres on Freeport closed, I've struggled to find a pharmacy that isn't awful. Pucci's went downhill ages ago, Parkside is less than helpful, the CVS on Franklin never seems to have medications in stock, and don't even get me started on Safeway. I know Ten Acres was a unicorn that doesn't exist elsewhere, but is there a pharmacy in Land Park/Curtis Park/Midtown/Downtown/East Sac that doesn't make you want to tear your hair out?

Is it true that all CVS pharmacy techs will be required to be certified by March 31?

I’m considering becoming a pharmacy technician and wanted to hear from people who actually do the job. How much lifting is involved day to day? I’m fine with standing and walking, but I’m trying to avoid jobs that require regular heavy lifting. Im talking bout 40 lbs off the ground. That would probably do to much I know this isn’t an oil rig or something crazy but I really want to know what I’m getting into and what healthcare role would be good for me? Does this differ much between retail pharmacies (CVS/Walgreens/grocery) and hospital settings? Any insight from current or former pharmacy techs would be appreciated. Thanks.

Our old plan was UnitedHealth with additional Caremark coverage paid for through an additional charge, and as I understood it we could fill prescriptions under either UnitedHealth or Caremark (though Caremark was generally better to use). We changed insurance to BCBS, and I gave my new health insurance number to the pharmacy. Now their system only shows me with Caremark. Does that mean that BCBS only uses Caremark, or only uses it at CVS? Is Caremark just the benefits manager, and actual coverage is determined by BCBS? I could use advice from someone who might have insight as to why we're having such problems, and the fastest way I can resolve them. My son has Type 1 Diabetes and has been on Omnipod Dash for three or four years (we do Looping). For that entire time, we had been getting our Dash pods from Diabetes Supply of Midland, 30 days at a time, 3 boxes of 5 pods each. The normal amount to prescribe would be 2 boxes of 5 pods each because they are supposed to last 3 days each. But there is a common problem where the cannulas leak, or the site goes bad, causing high blood sugars...

So I used to work 3 years ago in cvs for 2 years as an associate for 15$ per hour. I left and now im back today is my first day as a shift supervisor at 20.50$ per hour (full time) while also being meant to work in the pharmacy. I would like to earn more, 23 to 25 if possible? Every pharmacy around isn't accepting new patients for adderall? Can't figure out what to do or why, contacted insurance and they said they'd get back in 24 hours. Walgreens isn't covered so the price goes from 10$ to 100$+ which isn't financially feasible right now. Should I contact my psychiatrist? Its really stressful and could use some advice. CVS, Publix, Walgreens, and small local pharmacies are a no go including a hospital pharmacy.

My store manager have a lot of complaints with the store team members continuisly. Lost prevention and HR come to the store, the member were interview.... and then, nothing happen. Is there anything else they can do? Also she is always in the pharmacy area giving negative feedback and opinions. Then pharm tech works under pressure and afraid with her conduct.
