Are we all overthinking this?

4h ago

I’m a first time mom and currently 34 weeks, and lately I’ve been wondering… are we collectively overthinking and over-prepping for babies? Every single baby item I look up has like 500 versions, there are endless “must-have” lists and people have extremely strong opinions around anything baby related. “YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS.” “YOU NEED TO STOCK UP ON DIAPERS.” “You’ll regret not having XYZ.” I feel like modern baby culture , especially online, treats having a baby like preparing for a remote expedition where civilization disappears afterward. For example, diapers. Why are people stocking up like stores will disappear after the baby is born? We still need groc...

Switching to pharmacy

4h ago

hey guys. so i work as a regular cashier/store clerk at one location and wanted to switch to pharmacy. I’ve worked at my stores pharmacy three times for only 2 sometimes 3 hours on each occasion. I’m obviously shooting in the dark applying but im gonna ask anyway🐒. How eligible am I for the job and could i get in trouble for applying to a different stores pharmacy without informing my manager.

I live alone on an island. Something is knocking at my door.

5h ago

Flashing lights. Noise. Blood. I jolted awake, desperate to escape my nightmare. I wiped my cheeks dry and I checked my watch. Just after four o’ clock. I doubt I’ll get back to sleep anyway, Might as well get the day started. I tried the bedside light. Nothing. The battery must have run out. Hopefully it’s sunny enough today and the solar panels can get the battery replenished. The gas generator was too noisy-it made it hard to focus on my work. I reached over, struck a match and lit the candle by my bed. The warm candle’s glow spilled over the room, chasing back the shadows. I tried to forget about my dream as I walked over to the mirror hanging on the wall. It was coming back to m...

Finally on my 2 weeks!

7h ago

I finally put my two weeks in. Walgreens is not the worst job I've had, actually the best at the other location i worked at that got shut down. I have been working at a new one that is in the middle of town, and it is the busiest Walgreens I've ever worked at. When I first started, people would constantly do drugs and steal stuff in our bathroom, so they put a code lock on the door and we have to go back there everything to open this **** door. Every time someone has to use the restroom we have to open it. And this door is right next to pharmacy and in the very back of the store, yet the front has to open it. When I tell you this door goes off every 2 minutes. Between that and...

Panini World Cup Stickers in Phoenix Metro Area/Ahwatukee

Do you feel safe at work?

My pharmacy was held up at gunpoint this week. Second time in 6 months. We are not a city store far from it. Trendy town north of the city. Average home price 800,000 plus. Corporate swoops in with all the support councilors for RX staff. Adds security after the fact. No one talks about how front store opens with only one manager/ supervisor. How we are on our own for hours at a time because we don’t have the hours. No one gives a **** about the front store. Yet we do double the sales. Only here long enough to hit retirement in 3 months. No one including dl thought it was important to support us. For all of you out there find a way out. This company is not invested in you and you deserv...

Experience with Bioplus Specialty Pharmacy?

8h ago

Has anyone used them? I recently just got prescribed Humira by my GI (my first biologic) and it was sent to CVS Specialty Pharmacy. I hadn't heard anything from them in over a week, so I called today and CVS told me that they can't fill my prescription because I have Anthem Blue Cross insurance and Anthem is pushing everyone newly prescribed specialty drugs to Bioplus because Bioplus is owned by Anthem. So now I have to call either them or my doctor and get my prescription transferred over even though Anthem had already given me pre-authorization through CVS. Do any of you use Bioplus? And if you do, do you also have Anthem insurance? I'm partially worried about going through...

Cross-Examination And Judge's Questions Of Mr. Ian Allen, Regarding IV Bags, November 29 2022, And A Statement Read...

9h ago

Ian Allen's testimony was heavily frontloaded; Myers had very few questions for him, in fact, the judge had more -- he wanted to know, among other things, whether dextrose would ever be added to a TPN bag and when the stock bags were sent to the NNU. Three months further into the trial, a statement was read that Allen had made in 2019, describing the bags of 10% dextrose that he had given to the police as examples, and clarifying that any bag with 12.5% or 15% dextrose would have to be specially made up for a baby and wouldn't be available from the common stock. This statement was read on the same that Drs. Wark and Milan testified. >**BM:** Just one matter, please, my ...

WegovyHD

Recently was prescribed wegovyHD (7.2mg) as I’ve been on 2.4 and plateaued. CVS wanted $1300! Insane. Guess I’ll stick to the 2.4mg dosage.

Rehired CPhT — need help finding required modules/Learn Rx info (CA)

11h ago

I used to work as a pharmacy technician at CVS, quit, and got rehired the next day at a store closer to home. I signed the meal waiver, but I have nothing else — no module names, no clear onboarding instructions. HR sent me an email but there’s no PDF attached. It just says things like “Compliance: See page 3 in Shift 1 agenda” without actually giving me the agenda. The pharmacy manager isn’t in today and no one else knows the process. My previously completed modules are still showing as complete, so I don’t know which ones I actually need to redo as a rehire. Can anyone in CA tell me which modules I need to complete? Anything related to Learn Rx training or other required on...

SoCal vendor for Hospira Bac water?

12h ago

Please delete if not allowed. I’m NOT looking for a peptide supplier. I’m just looking to see if there’s somewhere I can pick up some Hospira Bac water in person without dealing with shipping. I tried several local pharmacies and medical supply stores, but have had no luck so far.

Spark needs filters

13h ago

***Final Update*****:** Out of respect for the rules, I’m not going to keep reposting this topic. This is my second time bringing it up, so this will be my last update unless something meaningful comes from it. After reading the comments, I think the core point is pretty simple: A filter is not drivers trying to control everything. A filter is a matching tool. If a driver already knows they will never take a certain store or certain order type, showing that driver those offers over and over does not help Walmart, the customer, or the driver. It just creates noise. And when there is too much noise, drivers start ignoring notifications. That is bad for everyone. Right now, rejecting o...

I feel bad for the pharmacy staff at Walgreens right now. They’re overworked and patients are suffering.

14h ago

It’s clear to me that due to budget cuts, the Walgreens corporation is intentionally cutting back on staffing. Not only does this result in burnout for the staff, but the patients are suffering as well. It takes days to get some prescriptions filled, everything is always out of stock, errors are made, and the customer service is generally very poor. I directly contribute this to the fact that these employees are overworked, undervalued, and very likely underpaid. I highly advise anyone who is looking to be become a technician/pharmacist to look elsewhere. Maybe CVS can provide a better work environment? For patients who may read this, don’t choose Walgreens as your preferred pharmacy and...

New loadouts the first is ronograd special forces medic and last is arctic

I think someone tried to kidnap me.

15h ago

This happened a while back but I still think about it often. Important context, this happened at an intersection of two roads. Imagine a set of stores (grocery store, CVS, florist) in one area and, directly across the road (which has like 6 lanes of traffic) is a coffee shop. I lived near the grocery store. It was roughly 9am in the morning, sunny. And the road was relatively busy, there were plenty of cars though I was the only person on foot in the area. I am an average sized woman. I was on the corner with the grocery store, waiting for the crosswalk light to say I could cross, when a car “parked” very close to me, in the grocery store parking lot. I am not a car person so all I kno...

Gestational Diabetes

15h ago

Has anyone else experienced becoming incredible sick, unwell, and starving since starting the GD diet? At 26 weeks I failed the 1 hour glucose test. I did the 3 hour test a few days after and failed it again. They set me up with a dietitian to start the gestational diabetes diet. And they ordered my glucose reader through my pharmacy. For context, I have PCOS and was taking metformin for my insulin resistance prior to pregnancy. I stopped taking it because in the 1st and most of 2nd trimester I could not eat enough food to satisfy the metformin and it would give me awful stomach cramps (not uterine cramps). My appetite has improved since then though it still wasn’t a large appetite. Sin...
