Sunday news4h ago**What Just Happened** The Dow crossed 50,000 for the first time in history on Friday. Let that sink in. After a brutal three-day tech sell-off, indexes ripped back hard. The Dow surged 1,206 points (+2.4%), the S&P climbed 1.9%, and the Nasdaq added 2.1%. Bitcoin bounced above $70K. But here is the thing. This week could test that number. The government shutdown delayed both the January jobs report AND the January CPI into the same week. Normally these hit two separate weeks. This time you get retail sales and employment data Wednesday and CPI data Friday. That is a triple dose of macro reality compressed into one week. Seeking Alpha flagged January CPI as the first print where ... Recruiters help! I’m looking to get my foot in the door as a trainee but I can’t even get hired as that. What am I d...5h agoWhy is AI in everything?!6h agoI never make posts on Reddit. I just scroll. That’s how annoyed I am. I called the CVS Pharmacy after hours to refill a prescription. Anytime I do this, the process is easy, quick, and successful every single time. It was to the point where I had it memorized. Now, instead of the typical system where one is able to either speak or press numbers to make selections, it’s an AI voice that only responds to verbal answers. On top of that, verifying information to pull up prescriptions is painstakingly more difficult to where it takes repeated failure to move on to the next option of verification. Why is it assuming the phone number I’m calling from is the only verification needed to match... CVS is pivotal this week6h agoCVS Health faces a pivotal earnings report as the company navigates a challenging but improving turnaround story centered on its Aetna Medicare Advantage business. After two brutal years of margin compression and elevated utilization, management has taken aggressive action and is projecting meaningful recovery. However, near-term headwinds in PBM contracting and Health Care Delivery present execution risks that could offset the Aetna tailwinds. The Ten Critical Watch Items1. Medicare Advantage Margin Recovery TrajectoryWhy It Matters: This is the single most important driver of CVS's earnings recovery story, with $3-4+ of embedded EPS potential if Aetna returns to target margins. What to ... Are all "commercial walk-in chains" private businesses?7h agoWhat I mean by commercial chains: Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Walgreens, Staples, Kmart, Petsmart, Petco, Home Depot, Lowe's, Ikea, Big Lots, Old Navy, Ross, Marshall's, Barnes & Noble, Five Below, Macy's, JC Penney, Toys R Us, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Dollar Tree, Savemart, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid, Joann's, Michael's, Safeway, GameStop, etc. etc. etc. And that's just stores.... What's a small way to navigate poverty that you figured out accidentally and wish more people knew about.7h agoMine is figuring out when to get a 30 day supplies vs. 90 day supplies of meds on Medicaid. I'm disabled and figured this out accidentally because of my illnesses. I had a couple of meds I was getting on a 90 day supply. That was the cheapest when I was cash pay, but then they were all covered under Medicaid. My medications get refilled five days before the supply is up. I was really worried at one point that I might lose my Medicaid at some point in the future (several months away). I realized that if I stayed with my 90 days supply, every 90 days I would get 90 pills plus 5 (for the extra days it's filled). If, however, I switched to 30 days, I'd get an extra 5 pills every 3... Never feel so small as when I'm at the Pharmacy9h agoI was using the Rite-aid near me for the first two years I was on testosterone and never had any issues besides one lady who left like two months after I started. Always gendered correctly, even before I passed, medication was always easy to refill, nothing wrong. Earlier last year, all of the Rite-aids near me shut down, and I've dealt with **** every time I've had to go to the pharmacy since. They switched everyone's prescription to the CVS up the street and besides CVS's system being horrendous to deal with, everyone at that pharmacy *****. I pass, and I pass well. I am never misgendered on the street, in public, or over the phone. This is the only place where I hav... Cook me chat fry me9h agoBoise: If You Support Workers, Delete the Amazon App for 30 Days9h agoIf you claim to support workers, you shouldn’t use an app built on worker exploitation. Boise has shown real solidarity lately, and this feels like something we can actually do instead of just posting opinions. My suggestion: Delete/Cancel/Pause the Amazon app and Prime for 30 days. Screenshot it. Post it. Let’s ruffle some feathers. #DeleteTheApp [CAN-QC] Are contractors subject to workplace rules?12h agoI am an assistant manager at a pharmacy, we provide a service to deliver medication to customers who are unable to or have difficulty leaving their residences. Our delivery driver is not an employee of our company, officially speaking, he is a contractor employed personally by the owner of our store. Nevertheless he works at our store 5 days a week, eats in our breakroom and interacts with staff. One of my many jobs is to keep track of the payments for these deliveries and ensure that the medication is being paid for and that this money is brought back to us by the driver within 24 hours. Because of this, I have to interact with him on a regular basis at the workplace. He doesn't like w... Ethical question12h agoThis is the first time that I’ve ever had to deliver a script (prescription) order to a customer. Personally I’m not an addict or use anything, but I was wondering. Is it legal or moral for DoorDash to deliver prescription drugs to customers? As well as isn’t it kind of a major risk for DoorDash to get drivers to deliver script deliveries when the company themselves don’t know if the driver could be an addict or not? Just bothered me is all! First Days on the Job!14h agoFirst days as a pharmacy customer associate or designated hitter coming from being a CSA. It’s been rough, but I just wanted to know what I should be studying or what I should be practicing outside of work to be the most efficient I can in store. My end goal is to become a certified technician while I’m in juco and then get my Pharm.D after transferring credits to a four year uni/college. How hard it is to find a job14h agoHi so I’ve been applying to jobs since beginning of December. I literally have gotten rejected left and right by every single place. I had seen that a bunch of people were cut from their jobs earlier this year so maybe that’s why. Or is it actually just this hard to find a job? I’ve applied to: \- Panda Express \- Panera bread \- Canes \- dollar tree \- target \- Walmart \- some grocery store near where I live \- ulta beauty \- Jack in the box \- in n out \- Applebees \- chilis \- Lowe’s \- Home Depot \- CVS \- planet fitness \- five below \- petco \- Best Buy \- Taco Bell \- Ross Etc. I feel like my resume isn’t bad at all either. I was front desk at a tax ... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
