I built RewardSmart: An all-in-one app for card recommendations, price tracking, and affiliate deals

6h ago

Hello folks, I'm one of those people with way too many credit cards and a spreadsheet for which one to use where. Got tired of remembering "Amex Gold for restaurants, Sapphire for travel, Citi Custom Cash for… wait, was it gas or groceries this quarter?" So I built RewardSmart to do the math for me — and then kept building because there were more problems I had. **What it does:** 🎯 **Best card recommendation** — type or say "Trader Joe's $80" and it tells you which of *your* cards earns the most, accounting for active rotating bonuses. 🔁 **Auto bank sync (Plaid)** — link your cards, the app tracks all spending and flags missed-reward moments (...

Haven't seen this in stores for years but I found one at CVS today.

Is this old stock or is BIC making this again?

Hard to find a basic job

8h ago

Hej alla! First of all, I'm going to apologies for not having this discussion in Swedish, it's my third language and I'm still learning it to this day. I can hold a basic conversation in Swedish but speaking about something serious I have to switch to a language that I understand 100% so there are no misunderstandings. I have been living in Sweden for some time and now when I tried to search for basic jobs like butiksmedarbetare so I can have some money on the side, help my family, and also save for my future studies, I can't find any. I have some experience in working, it's not like I have none at all. As my first job here, my school found a job for me, like a s...

Looked into Walmart Spark as a slow-month side hustle here's what I actually found out

9h ago

Freelance income is lumpy. Some months are great, some months you're staring at an empty pipeline wondering if you should pick up something on the side. I went down the Walmart Spark rabbit hole last week and found [this](https://www.everlance.com/gig-work/walmart-spark) useful. A few things I didn't know going in: Unlike DoorDash or Instacart, Spark drivers pick up from Walmart specifically groceries, general merchandise, even pharmacy orders. Orders are mostly pre-packed by store staff so you're not shopping, just loading and delivering. Pay shows before you accept. You see the estimated earnings, mileage, and pickup/drop-off location before committing to a trip. No myste...

Another Month, Another Goose Chase.

This is a short two parter: 1) With people who may have similar diagnoses to me (AMSAN/CRPS II) what medications have helped you the most and what are you prescribed? 2) For those of you that have a Mom and pop shop type Pharmacy how did you find it? I called CVS last night at 7 to make sure my meds arrived and could be filled… today… new pharmacist saying they are out of stock. And you call to any different pharmacy and they refuse to tell you about stock. How do you handle these situations.

Cold Glass

9h ago

# Cold Glass The mall felt half-asleep, a vast, echoing chamber slowly shutting down for the night. Most stores were already down, their doors locked tight. The few remaining lights stretched across the polished tile in long, cold streaks like reflections on black ice. Somewhere deeper in the corridor a cleaning machine hummed low and rhythmic, like machinery breathing underwater. Gigi and Kris walked side by side toward the pharmacy. Gigi clutched Michael’s prescription paperwork so tightly the edges bit into her palm. Her purse strap kept sliding off her shoulder no matter how many times she hiked it back up. Every step felt heavier than the last. Kris glanced toward the second lev...

Childhood toy valentine dog

10h ago

I’m trying to identify a possible lost media / obscure animated Valentine’s toy dog from around the late 2000s to early 2010s. Here’s what I remember: \\- It was definitely a dog (not a monkey) \\- Terrier-style appearance, possibly Jack Russell-like \\- Red outfit or red accessories \\- Held a heart in its paws/hands \\- Valentine’s Day themed \\- Animated / dancing / walking plush toy \\- Played a song very similar to “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” by Pitbull, or at least a similar upbeat dance track \\- Could have been sold in Canada or North America in seasonal stores like Walmart, pharmacies, or gift shops I’ve looked into Gemmy and other ...

Dragnet first encounter ep. Wild. IANAL

10h ago

So like I mentioned in another post, and I am sort of new to this sub, I'm a big fan of OTR crime procedurals. Heard a whole lot of them and I can recall most. But last night I heard one for the first time that has had me thinking all day. I'm going to set it up. This is Dragnet "A big something something". Ex-Con leaves Fulton. Not escapes, leaves. He's done. Couple of days later, he goes to the house (how did he know?) of the cop that arrested him and offs him with a shotgun. A cop is dead, that means all hands on deck. The Ex-Con is on the run. He commandeered a friend's car, ditches the shotgun, gets a .45 and he's running. He gets to a store (grocer...

The Divine Mechanism

10h ago

One day the whole world turned. It changed so subtly and yet so violently. It happened slowly and grew exponentially over time. People seemed different, maybe it was just me but everyone seemed a little bit less patient. Drivers on the road seemed to be displeased with the way I was driving. I couldn’t tell if I was the one who was driving bad but I could see people look at me through their tinted windows. Then I noticed more concerning things. I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription, something I had to do every month or so and I never had much of a problem with in the past. I walked up to the kiosk and filled out my information and I heard an employee tell me the...

Walgreens vs CVS

11h ago

I did my externship at CVS so I want to say Walgreens is so far behind from a technological standpoint. The computer system is overly complicated for no reason. At CVS we use an Ironman for the delete’s which save so much time. CVS has a kirby automated pill counter, they have a camera that counts the pills. I don’t relay on those things. However it makes the job so much easier. Not to mention the lack of hours I’m currently getting only 5-10 hours a week. I’ve tried calling other stores. Not one single store has reached out to me. Cooperate does not care one bit. Computer systems are constantly slow and sometimes we have shutdown issues.

Cost for a nasal polyp/sinus surgery?

12h ago

Hi, A family member is planning to undergo a nasal polyp surgery at Jehangir hospital and the bill estimate provided by the hospital seems insane for a 1-day surgery with a private room for INR 2.4.lakhs (plus INR 30,000 security deposit) ! Though he has a health insurance policy from New India Assurance covering for about INR 10Lakhs+ and has opted for a cashless claim, the admin told him that the health insurance company won't pay 100% of the amount. So before the hospital admin sends the file for processing he himself tried contacting the regional TPA office (Health Insurance TPA of India Ltd) but they too did not quote how much of the estimated amount would be covered under cash...

Deactivated before the end of a promo🙃

12h ago

Mind you, I just posted about getting almost to Diamond. I got an email while I was out of town that Instacart got a report that I “returned to a customer’s home”, which quite frankly doesn’t fit my character nor do I think that ANY OF THESE COMPLICATED CUSTOMERS ARE EVEN WORTH RETURNING TO THEIR HOME AFTER DROP OFF. And at the rate I was going, I could’ve completed the remaining few batches that I had left when I returned from vacation. Anyone know what I can do in this situation? There are a high number of shoppers in my area, but the thought of someone “framing me” doesn’t even make sense. I tried out Shipt this morning and it wasn’t that bad. Went to stores I was famili...

May 15, 2026 Recipe2Kitchen Team Traditional Medicine and the Use of Herbs and Spices. **May 15, 2026 Recipe2Kitchen Team** There is a specific, almost magical moment that occurs in a kitchen when a heavy cast-iron pan meets a shimmering layer of hot oil and a handful of whole spices are dropped into the heat. It begins with a soft, rhythmic crackle, followed quickly by a fragrant bloom of arom...

Keep Santa Cruz affordably weird and safe

14h ago

We need to talk about Santa Cruz’s survival and the pressure points we actually control I am saying this as a Santa Cruz resident who is tired of watching our community get priced out, ignored, and squeezed while local officials pretend everything is fine. If we want to push back against being forced out of our own home, we need to understand where the city and county actually get their money. We also need to understand which pressure points residents can use without harming small businesses. Small businesses are not the problem. Tourism driven revenue and unchecked development are the problem. THE PRESSURE POINTS THAT AFFECT THE CITY, NOT LOCAL SHOPS These are the revenue streams the ...

Answering the Critics: Protein Powders | Kim Goss

15h ago

Today, pharmacies, supermarkets, and health food stores feature shelves stocked with brightly colored canisters of protein powder. I’ve lifted weights for over half a century and have written advertising copy for several companies that sold these supplements, so I have a firsthand perspective on how we got here.
