Are they serious???

9h ago

I went to CVS yesterday and as I entered something on the top shelf caught my eye. I look up and the shelf was lined with a variety of tropicals. The poor babies were on top tier with those huge dry-*** vents blowing down on them. It was so sad and so misplaced. Braided money plants, palms, ficus plants, snake plants, cacti and other succulents, but then I saw the next row… I was shocked when I picked up a pot containing a beautiful anthurium and it was so light and airy. The “soil” was basically a rock. The ZZ was so pot bound it pushed itself almost 1/3 if the way out of the pot it was in. I put both in my cart, grabbed the droopiest/dryest African Violets known to man and went hunt...

**** CVS

Okay. I worked for this company, for 9 years, allow me to start from the beginning. I got this job as a cashier, 9 an hour, this was only my 2nd job. 2 months into this job I found out I was pregnant, now I needed this job. From the point I started showing and had to inform them I was pregant and was starting back to school, my hours were completely cut, and then the last trimester, my manager worked me like a dog, I worked until the day I had my child. Come to find out, my manager was unable to have children with her husband and was targeting me, also refused to move me up knowing i was doing the work. So I left to another store I had picked up hours at before and really liked the manager, ...

[S][USA-VT] Large estate film archive -- Provia, Velvia, Tech Pan, Panatomic-X, Tri-X, Fuji pro C-41, bulk B&W, ...

10h ago

This came from a meticulous longtime photographer’s estate. He bought large quantities of film from other photographers as they switched to digital, often buying entire refrigerated/freezer stocks. This is the refrigerated/frozen film only, except where specifically noted. Unless otherwise mentioned, this film has been refrigerated or frozen since purchase. Some lots also have written storage notes, purchase correspondence, original receipts, testing notes, or dates showing when they entered the photographer’s freezer. The most recent addition appears to be from 2011 and has the CVS receipts. All grouped lots have matching lot numbers unless noted. I have personally shot Panatomic-X fr...

Does anyone know where I can get some? I’ve read online that pharmacies and fish stores will give them away or sell them, but does anyone have any actual experience with that in the city? Thanks

some info about acquiring Omnitrope (US)

12h ago

(this is an answer not a question but I couldn't figure out what other flair to use) So: Like a lot of people on this sub, I had a great deal of trouble figuring out how to get Omnitrope without paying an insane amount of money. I am very grateful to all of the posts I found here. However, I also noticed that most of this info is not super centralized, so I wanted to share my experience. I will be linking to certain comments, etc. rather than spelling out information in some cases, but this stuff is SO expensive that I thought having the info might be useful. Also, there's a lot of conflicting information out there (probably because there are a lot of conflicting experiences). **...

Shout-out to the Employee at CVS

12h ago

Just left the CVS on Esplanade, and when a questionable guy in the store had his bag checked by an employee because his payments didn't go through, he reacted by accusing the employee of thinking he was stealing. He was very aggressive very fast, and called the employee the N-Word, twice. Several people watched this happen. He refused to leave the store after the worker then told him to leave, asking nicely, saying please. It ***** people deal with ignorant people even today, that just immediately jump to being a racist scumbag. Shout out to you man for being professional and keeping your cool.

Need advice on pre-onboarding screening?

13h ago

A little bit of context: I’m a heavy marijuana user (multiple times daily, flower & carts) but I stopped about a month ago. I was clean for 2 weeks then some stuff happened and I smoked couple times each day for 3 days in a row. I’m two weeks clean again, but I’m pretty sure I’ll still test positive for weed. I have a normal BMI but I’m skinny-fat (no muscle but a healthy weight). I also have a fairly slow metabolism. I know weed metabolites are stored in fat cells. I used an at home test a couple days ago and it basically showed positive (the second line was barely there so unless you’re really staring at it, it shows positive). My drug test is in a week. The job is p...

Identifying a lotion/cream

13h ago

I’m trying to identify a brand of lotion used by someone close to me that has now passed. It would mean so much to me to be able to find it again. What I remember: \- in a tube like the toothpaste tube photo \- matte white tube with minimal/small horizontal black or gold text, no other color or logo that I remember. \- screw cap \- sat on its cap, upright (cap at the bottom) \- about 5-6 inches tall and maybe 1-2 inches in diameter at its widest (ie. the cap as it narrowed at the top) \- musky but light scent \- thin lotion (not thick), white-ish but not opaque \- maybe contained aloe ? \- good for cuts, burns, etc \- not Vaseline/curel/lubriderm \- Canad...

Canada Pharmacy.store How strict are they about prescription?

13h ago

Has anyone ordered from canadapharmacy.store? How strict are they about prescriptions? I want to try Cytomel, since my RT3 is high, but my doc doesn't believe in that. Sources from farther away are facing shortages and not shipping to the US due to the tarriffs + Hormuz closure. The only place I can find that has it is that store.

Advice on my first try resume

Have some time before December 2026, so would love to hear any feedback on my resume! Fingers crossed, will aim for ICU New Grad Positions! Should I remove my non-healthcare experiences? And should I add my clinical rotations/capstone?

Is there a better pharmacy tech jobs other than CVS?

15h ago

Hello guys, so I started working at a CVS as my first ever job, and let me tell you it's TOXIC! Is there anywhere else for baby techs to work at other than CVS, where the work flow is a tiny, ever so slightly less toxic? The pay here compared to the work the techs perform is a JOKE. I know work is work, and I can't expect everything to be sunshines, but I wanted to know if any of you guys changed from CVS to a different place with digestible workflow and pay?

The Last Thing Humans Lost Was Sleep

15h ago

At first, the humans just looked tired. That wasn’t unusual. Humans dragged themselves through life exhausted even during good years. They poisoned themselves awake every morning and called it productivity. But this became something else. The city changed slowly. People stopped talking to each other at crosswalks. Cashiers stared too long at customers. Drivers drifted through red lights without reacting to horns. The smell of burnt coffee lingered everywhere because people kept forgetting they’d started brewing it. From above, it became easy to notice patterns. Lights stayed on later every night. Then all night. Then during the day too. Windows glowed at every hour like the cit...

Rude Customers / corporate complaint

15h ago

How do you guys deal with rude, irrational customers? I’ve mostly worked in the front store, but I’ve slowly started cross-training in pharmacy. In pharmacy, customers get upset about prescriptions taking too long (we’re a high-volume store), lunch break hours, and other things that are out of our control, like insurance coverage issues. The front store can honestly be even worse — customers get angry over expired or invalid coupons, or items being out of stock. Today, a customer got upset with me because she wanted to combine coupons from both her account and her husband’s account in the same transaction, and also use OTC benefits on top of it. I explained that we can’t combin...

I hurt myself an don't know if I'll recover

17h ago

So I'm a technician that makes medical supplies and a supervisor for a big chain pharmacy store. A little over a month ago i woke up at my girlfriend's an continued my day to my friends, I took a nap on the couch. I woke up not being able to feel my feet or walk after two long days in the hospital, I found out I had a huge slip in my lower disks. i couldn't get an appointment under a month. I still continued to work. I got hurt again yesterday trying to lift 40 pounds over my head. My back just folded. I still held it up an did drop it I knew I was done. I've always been a highly active person. I just can't fathom being this hurt physically that I'm debilitated ...
