Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the CVS Pharmacy Latest Community Discussions About CVS PharmacyQuiet hours at pharmacy—can pharmacists sit in small community stores?2h agoHi fellow pharmacists! 👋 I’m curious—are pharmacists allowed to sit on chairs or stools during quiet hours? I know big chains like Chemist Warehouse and TerryWhite Chemmart in Australia usually don’t allow it, and some don’t even have stools. I know the working environment is busy and loaded, and mostly you don’t even have time to sit. My main question is about **small community pharmacy stores**—do they allow sitting when it’s quiet? Other countries are welcome too, like USA, Canada, to see their point of view. Hour cuts already?3h agoI work the front store for a very busy CVS, we’re 24 hours and right now there’s been constant long lines. Anytime I am working we are slammed, so the store is definitely thriving. This week I was told they are already cutting hours, this is something that usually happens in January after the holidays. Why is this happening now? I work part-time 2-3 days a week, just to pay my rent, groceries, and laundry. They’ve cut me down to 1 day this upcoming week, only 5 hours. I have asked multiple stores in the area and no one has hours available, they’ve basically said they are all in the same boat. I just can’t believe that they are doing this already and right before the holidays. There... Waiver for depression and pharmacy records3h agoSo I had a brief period of depression about two years ago. I was on meds for two weeks. I need to get a waiver and submit past three years of prescriptions. I used multiple pharmacies. The antidepressants were only through my old pharmacy (Walgreens). I have some other unrelated medications on my cvs pharmacy history that I did not disclose at MEPS (nothing serious). Could I just give them my Walgreens prescription history which has the antidepressants history which is the area of concern? I am afraid if I submit CVS as well this will complicate things and the deadline for HPSP is approaching. Xr vs. Ir3h agoHas anyone had any better luck with adderall XR over the IRs? I always thought IR would be stronger, but theyre not. I mean, I've only had Sandoz and Teva mainly, a couple good months with Northstar Aurobindo and Epic (yes, I find those to work better than the "good" brands, but CVS around me is constantly stocked with only sandoz or teva). I am thinking of going back to adderall xr plus a small IR booster, just **** getting stuck with sandoz/teva. I want to switch to Safeway but I'm worried I wont react well to whatever xr they have (I had "decent" okay luck with Elite from CVS, and I think now they have Amneal which I have heard good things about.). Does a... Options for meds in shortage4h agoI am prescribed 20MG generic adderall XR that was last filled 10/3. I tried to request a refill on 11/3 but was denied, saying it was too soon and my prescriber had a limit. My provider had accidentally told the pharmacy not to fill until 12/3 instead of 11/3, and by the time we got all that figured out it was 11/7. She put in a new order and told them to make sure it was ready same day. Luckily I had enough medicine to make it to 11/8. Then I got a call from my CVS and there is a back order and they have no idea how long I may have to wait. And then I called every pharmacy I could possibly contact in my city and nobody has 20s of XR. And even if they did have 20s it wouldn’t matter becau... I don't need to wash every single item with laundry sanitizer, or some such right?! Heat kills, right?! I only stored clean apparel in my closet, and none of these items show signs of mold, but I'm concerned about invisible spores... A few weeks ago, I moved my dehumidifie... A few weeks ago, I moved my dehumidifie... finally got prescribed…2 month back stock5h agoAfter years of struggling with depression and anxiety, as well as many other issues I couldn’t quite put my finger on, I was diagnosed with ADHD last week. We did a trial week on Aderall, which was amazing, my brain felt so so quiet and I reached out early to my doctor asking to put the 30 day script in. Fast forward to this morning. I wake up to a UTI and a fraud attempt that puts me out $1300 and I’m battling with Bank of America and Apple to fix it. I think “this is impossible, but at least I get my real prescription today!” I go to the pharmacy, still on hold with Apple, and the pharmacist tells me that they’re out of stock and to come back in a MONTH OR TWO. I know these sho... Help with managing expectations (pharmacy/insurance)6h agoSo my son is 10 and he recently got diagnosed with ADHD/ODD. His pediatrician prescribed him medication and sent it out to the pharmacy directly. Now I live in a big metro area in Texas. The go to pharmacies for me are Walgreens and CVS and they are less than five minutes from me. However that location are a s#!*show. I’m assuming because of the amount of people they get the lines are always long, staff are super rude and they never answer the phone. For this reason I have always opted to drive 10-15 minutes to the next closest Walgreens/CVS because service is 100x better. I mention this because after repeatedly telling my pediatrician office my preferred pharmacy 3 out of 5 times they ... This store specifically has had a multitude of managers in and out of it. The previous manager was an outside hire who didn’t know what they were doing. I myself have been with cvs for some time…not much, but some. I know a basic layout of what should be getting done, but not nearly enough to confidently say I can absolutely be a store manager. I expressed this was was met with “oh well, you’ll figure it out.” 1-are they setting me up to fail? 2-if you could give advice I would greatly appreciate any and every little piece of advice I can take. What Is Data Tokenization? Key Concepts and Benefits6h agoHi Everybody, I have found this really good post about the data tokenization and I thought you would be interested to see some use-cases that Datavault could also provide. You can see how big this field is and what a massive opportunity they have. It is also worth to check out Fortra and its solutions. They could be a real competitor to Datavault in the future, but let's not forget that Datavault could also cherry-pick high-yield offerings from Fortra. (I copied here the full blogpost for those who don't want to open URL-s. Plus, it is better to have this text here in case something would happen to the external website.) Best pharmacy delivery service, alternatives to Amazon?7h agoHi all, I am hoping this sub will a good spot for this question since I know a lot of us are on regular medications. I have been using PillPack for years but after they were folded into Amazon pharmacy, the service has gone downhill. This month they never sent me my medicine and when I reached out to figure out why, they told me the only solution was to cancel my service and order a one time shipment which would arrive in two days, and now it’s been delayed and I’m without my medication. And they say they can’t make shipments on weekends, even though Amazon can ship you junk same day every day of the week. So I have to find a new service. I prefer to get my medicine delivered because... Where to get Pharmacy on Stanford Campus on weekends?7h agoJust realized that the Vadent/Walgtrrn Pharmacy is closed for the weekend. So where can I get my medicine on weekend without needing to take Uber to CVS? It is crazy that they don't have a pharmacy open on Campus. Other universities' pharmacy opens 24/7. The problem is also that I already sent my medicine to that pharmacy so I can't get my medicine now and can't move my medicine either. Floater Rph to FS managers7h agoHave the floater key ready and if not, be aware that the 15 minutes headstart we get is NOT for chasing you around trying to beg you for keys, it's for actual WORK in the pharmacy. Make it a priority to know when there will be floaters and HAVE the key ready and someone available to give floater pharmacist the key. Youre not doing them a favor. If they dont opem the pharmacy the whole store will turn into a disaster. About 20 minutes ago this was showing 15x miles and now it was randomly reduced to 9x. I’ll probably still make use of it today but slightly disappointed since all of the other “Today’s Top Offers” have been 10x or more over the past two weeks. ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
