Am I reading & hearing right that we're to dispose of sharps containers (taped) in the trash? A CVS Speciality Pharmacy representative told me that in our state we are to duct tape them and dispose of them. I found a posting referencing medical waste disposal pick-up as well as a how to dispose of them instructing as mentioned above. How are you guys disposing of your medicinal needles/sharps containers?

So for context I have been working at my store for about a year now. I’m still a trainee so I haven’t gotten my actual liscense yet. However, I am a full-time college student. So I’ve only either been able to work weekends since my class schedule has just happened to be 5 days every semester. It’s time to call in for a refill of my Adderall generic (20mg IR) and the Teva I’ve been getting lately has been utter **** (as many have noted.) I usually call my grocery store pharm (HEB) and see if they have it in stock, and ask them to fax my doc for a refill; if I don’t hear back in a day or two, I call my doc’s office to check in and they’ll go ahead and fax it in right then… Should I be straight up asking the pharmacy from the get-go what brand they’ve got? I lived in an apartment for last three years which was my first apartment in this country I moved for work. The apartment was great. Modern amenities, amazing location, desirable facing, spacious. Two not so greats were it had no parking (I got a car at a later stage and had to park at a distance) and not so great view (another block of the apartment). We've been faxing transfer requests for a few years now (no more waiting on hold!). The patient usually won't have the pharmacies fax number so here's how I get it. I have them give me the name of the pharmacy, what city it is in, an address if possible or at least a street name, and the pharmacies phone number. I could use Google maps to find it by cross streets if that's all the patient has. Once I have a phone number or address I go to this coupon site (https://www.rxless.com/pharmacies).
