I want to preface this by acknowledging the situations we are all in regarding hours cuts, staffing shortages, etc. My store in particular is *mostly* ok day-to-day, and the schedules I draft meet the standards that CVS puts forth with the mTC scorecard. That being said, I'm at a loss of what to do regarding performance of staff pharmacists when I'm not in the building. The days I'm there, we: follow workflow, get everything done (mostly) on time, and our impact is at or well above target. I am curious about a current situation in Georgia. A CVS employee was sitting in her car in the parking lot of the store. She was shot and killed. Now, the Secret Service in involved in the investigation. I did not know the Secret Service would be in involved in something like that. For those working at Walgreens pharmacy WITHOUT Cenfill — what do you usually do when the fill count is 200+? Do you typically “store” or stage some prescriptions ahead of time to stay afloat, or is there another workflow or strategy you rely on to manage that kind of volume? We have Pharmacy floaters who typically who don’t F4s all the way out until they see next store and gets us backed up for next day.

Hi, this is probably a long shot but does anyone know where in Portland/Hillsboro/Beaverton that I can get a medical nutrition drink prescription filled? Asking about out of a bit of worry. I recently picked up my recent Ozempic prescription from my local Walgreens Pharmacy. However, when they handed it to me, it was from their wall with baskets for pills and stuff, not from their refrigerator. I know my prescription was ready for a couple days, just was only able to get it today. Hello, I need help ordering safety caps for pharmacy vials. The berry caps are back order and no stores wants to share any of their supplies.

Looks like the Costco pharmacy sells the Orginal Ointment (mineral oil, ceresin, lanolin alcohol) and other retail stores sells the Healing Ointment (mineral oil. ceresin, lanolin alcohol, panthenol, glycerin, bisabolol). Just something to keep in mind if you're looking for more humectants. Edit: Active ingredient for both is petrolatum (41%). The one sold at Costco is only cheaper by about $1.50. I don't notice much of a difference in either one and I use separate moisturizers underneath for my dry skin. The Costco version suits me just fine.

I have been applying to get a job for remote Claim Benefit Specialist at CVS but nothing comes up. I got a job at CVS for Certified Pharmacy Technician. Will I be able to apply to this CBS position while working for CVS? Because I don’t really like retail pharmacy, I just want to use that opportunity to see if it would be easy to transfer to this remote CBS department. I had a relative who went to a MedPlus pharmacy to purchase his prescribed medicines. He was sent back four times with the same reply: “No stock.” Each time, the staff tried to convince him to buy the MedPlus-branded alternative instead, claiming: it is the same medicine, from the same company, and that he would get a 60–80% discount. They assumed he was uneducated and would not question it. When he informed me, I was shocked. He is a heart patient, and the medicine he was prescribed is listed under the Essential Medicines category, meaning pharmacies are expected to keep it available. I don't have AC and don't like running the heat because I like the cold, so my house fluctuates wildly in temp through the year. I've noticed that my cromolyn is most effective for the first week after I bring it home from the pharmacy and i'm starting to suspect that the inconsistent temps that are well outside the preferred range are to blame. Google just says to keep it in a temperature controlled room and I don't have that. How do you store your cromolyn? (Or if temp isn't the issue, how do you keep your cromolyn from losing potency once you bring it home?)

You can bet CVS is right behind, using the exact formula of cutting help and inventory, until nothing is left. Better off investing in employees and extra staff, and security, instead of cleaning the stores dry.

This is the 3rd time asking Ro to send my prescription because my pharmacy, cvs, is not receiving any orders from them. First 2 prescriptions were filled with no problem, 3rd prescription is where we started having problems in being fulfilled at cvs. Went in person yesterday to ask and was told the last order they received was in October. This is so frustrating since we pay so much for the Ro subscription and things like this happen.
