Valentines Day Palm Pals

1h ago

Found these at CVS. The CVS stores in my city never have Palm Pals, and suddenly they have a small selection of exclusively Valentines Day themed Palm pals. I think the axolotl and pink beastie monster are the cutest.

Why am I not surprised?

I’m almost 27, and have no real skills.

1h ago

As title says, I’m almost 27(F) and have no real skills. By that I mean I’ve been working in entry level retail positions for nearly a decade, and never managed to move up. I’m still in college, it’s for a bachelor’s degree (biology major) I’ve been working on since 2017. I’m not even sure I’ll be able to pass the remaining courses, because I **** at math and they are mostly chemistry and physics courses. I was in a training program to become a certified pharmacy technician, but the company I did it through (RiteAid) shut down when I was half way through. I tried working at a different pharmacy, but was let go just yesterday as the owner didn’t intend to train someone an...

How does Capital one offers/shopping work?

2h ago

For reference I just got the Venture X a few weeks ago and saw on the capital one offers page I can get an additional 15x miles at an in-store purchase at CVS. I activated the offer and bought something with my venture card at CVS. 2 days later I see the 2x miles on my CVS purchase but not the +15x. Does it take a few additional days for it to show up or am I supposed to redeem these miles elsewhere? Any help on how this works would be appreciated

(VERY LONG POST)Detailed Journal: My first 4 days on Vyvanse

3h ago

**Disclaimer**: Heads up, this is a long post! Also, just to be clear: I am formally diagnosed with ADHD. I am not formally diagnosed with Autism, but I have been told by my GP that I might be, and I resonate deeply with the traits and experiences of this community. I just started Vyvanse (started 10mg, moved to 20mg). **The Good:** It killed the internal noise and social anxiety almost instantly. I can walk through crowds without "going berserk," and my body feels "stable" instead of "crawly." **The Weird:** The medication killed the anxiety-driven "urgency" to work, leaving me in a weird limbo where I'm not stressed but also not motivated. *...

local store alternatives to big chains (walmart, target, amazon, CVS, walgreens)?

3h ago

i would love to stop giving more money to big chain stores which are slowly monopolizing every market there is and raising their prices. does anyone have any favorite locally-owned, small store alternatives in these areas? * health, medicine, beauty (CVS alternative) * general household goods like cleaning supplies (Walmart alternative) * furniture (besides AWS, ikea, facebook marketplace or craigslist)

Possible leave, yet I feel bad

3h ago

So for a while now, I've been dealing with little to no hours, where when I do work, its only on Sundays and, sometimes, Fridays. I started to not care cause Sundays are usually very chill. It was annoying in the beginning, but eh, I dont care anymore. But since December, I have been given next to nothing in terms of hours. I literally have a week coming up where I only work from opening till when the pharmacy closes for lunch...I..I cant live like that. Very recently, though, I've been looking into a part time job I could take while still staying at my store, espically since I dont want to do the song and dance of trying to get my certificate and Certified, but since its been ...

Lupron Depot cost, looking for tips

3h ago

looking for help sourcing Lupron Depot (2-months) at a more affordable price My insurance is connected with CVS Specialty Pharmacy who quoted \~$1,900 for one shot after coverage. Also used Lupron savings coupon, but it only knocked off \~$300, so I’m still looking at \~$1,500 out of pocket 😞. My clinic submitted it under endometriosis treatment, but insurance coverage is still awful. I also checked Orilissa as an alternative and was quoted $55 per tablet, which comes out to \~$3,000/month, so that’s even worse. I posted in the IVF garage sales group but haven’t heard back yet. I checked with SMP, freedom pharmacy their pricing is even higher. I read few posts in this sub where...

Switched to Accredo Specialty "Pharmacy" 😭

3h ago

"Pharmacy" in quotes because I'm pretty sure this is more "harmacy" than anything related to a pharmacy. Rant: I take Cimzia for my AS and have for approximately 4 years. It works pretty well for me. I still have daily pain at a 2-4 level, but flares dramatically reduced in frequency. My insurance just switched to Express Scripts and Accredo January 1 from CVS Specialty. I had never heard of Accredo, but ****, I have heard of them now. In December, I got a letter saying Cimzia wasn't going to be on the formulary. SavOnSP calls me Dec. 30 and signs me up for Cimzia copay card. Rheumatologist said he'd fight to keep me on Cimzia, and started all of it Jan....

CHIME referral link

Here's CHIME referral link [https://www.chime.com/r/vinceulissi/](https://www.chime.com/r/vinceulissi/) **J**ust get a deposit of 200$ from your employer Don't have direct deposit? Do an ACH push (direct deposit) of $200 or more from an external bank into your Chime account. While the terms do say a direct deposit is required, in practice, an ACH push (fancy work for bank account transfer) from almost any external bank account will trigger the direct deposit requirement and get you your bonus. I used Wells Fargo for mine. Other good accounts to use are Ally, Chase, Capital One 360, Marcus By Goldman Sachs, and many others. I have been told robinhood works. Not sure about cashap...

Questions Regarding Store Manager Duties in the Pharmacy

4h ago

So, to give a background, I’m the hitter at my walgreens location. our store manager recently hasn’t been helping our pharmacy staff. The most they did was fill in the pharmacy and then proceed to leave after 2-3 hours. They didn’t do anything more than that. No picking up the phones, doing portal calls, helping with TPR, etc etc. More recently though, they aren’t even bother doing that. They just go into the pharmacy to talk about shots and surveys and proceeds to leave. They are fully aware that we are doing Tier 4 numbers in terms of sales, will see a big line and actively walk away to sit in the office. Pharmacy staff gets left dying with a constant line of 6-7 people. The RXO...

State Security Service Guard Regiment (Spy x Family) loadout (potential spoilers)

5h ago

Note: Technically they use Strichtarn field uniforms according to the manga but we kinda don't have much **brown** here. The lack it also applies to the belt, thus the dark and light brown on the belt is replaced by black and tan/khaki respectively. Small errors: SSS units (except the one shown in the 3nd image) actually don't seem to have the extra GP pouch next to the pistol hoster (both anime and manga). And also the balaclavas/ski masks should've been black. I'm not editing all of it again, sorry.

In Search of a Pharmacy That Can Dispense Acetylcysteine as Eye Drops

5h ago

Hello all. I had to go to the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary for foreign body sensations in my left eye, and the doctor prescribed acetylcysteine 10% as eye drops after removing filaments. My local CVS doesn’t have it and told me to contact a compounding pharmacy. I’ve called ESCO, VLS, Zitomer, Melbran, Apthorp so far, and they all said they don’t have any. Do you have any suggestions or know a pharmacy that can dispense acetylcysteine 10% as eye drops? I am on the UWS but willing to go anywhere in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Update: Leaving this for those who will Google the information in the future. I went back to the NYEE and spoke with the doctor. The hospita...

Beware interns

5h ago

A few years ago I was a young pharmacy tech trainee getting ready for pharmacy school. I worked about a year before school started and transitioned to an intern. I was never made aware that the 40 hours of vacation that I had built in that year would disappear into thin air once I switched. And as hard as I fought I never saw a penny. I stayed on though thinking it was all just a mistake. Flash forward to my 4th year and I realized a hospital residency was more my style and I stopped picking up at CVS but was still on the roster. I had asked my DL the last time I worked if I needed to pick up in order to get the flu shot bonus bc I was planning ahead for some time to spare. I was specificall...

Questions about resolution, insurance, etc.

6h ago

Hi, all! I've been working in the pharmacy at my store for 2 months. I worked at Walgreens before this, but I wasn't a tech. I mainly filled and occasionally checked people out but never had to deal with insurance issues. I just need clarification on a couple of things. When working on resolution and it says that something needs a prior authorization, does our system automatically start that process? Or do I need to reach out to the patient every time to let them know to contact their prescriber to start the process? Also, if it says that a product isn't on a patient's insurance formulary and it's a pricey drug, would that also be an instance to call the patient ...

****** Walgreens

6h ago

Ahhrrgg. I say boycott Walgreens, but I’m sure CVS is better 🙄 (since they kept giving me a hard time about hormonal birth control ). Walmart? There aren’t many options here/work with insurance. Walgreens has guidelines to only fill prescriptions for controlled substances from within a 50 or 50-70 mile radius (the person changed her mind mid call). I was already upset because I thought they were going to fill my Vyvanse on Tuesday and now I have to call and need it TODAY. So not only did they not give me a heads up, they also just weren’t going to fill it maybe. It’s Saturday, I could have handled this even Tuesday afternoon, they accepted the prescription just after my appointm...

Entropy in Blue

7h ago

“What happened to Grandma and Grandpa?” my little sister asks, clutching her teddy bear. Susie’s sun-bronzed face is scrunched, a prelude to tears.    “I don’t know,” my mother replies, her sun-ravaged countenance struggling for serenity beneath her ever-greying tresses. “I called the police, but they have no new information. Maybe the two of ’em took off on a sudden vacation.”   For seventeen days, my grandparents have been missing. The circumstance first reached our attention when they failed to appear at Susie’s eighth birthday party, leaving the many presents they’d promised undelivered. They’d left their cars, clothing, and credit cards behind. Seemingly, ...
