Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the CVS Pharmacy Latest Community Discussions About CVS PharmacyMaintaining Prescription While Travelling5h agoHello - I'm fairly newly diagnosed with ADHD and have never used prescriptions before other than one time antibiotics so forgive my ignorance ahead of time with these topics or if I butcher any related terminology. I travel full time for work which can take to any of the 50 US States for 1-3 month stints, sometime longer. I was in my home state (FL) for awhile recently where I was seeing psychiatrists and exploring options for my focus issues. After a few visits I was given a dx of ADHD and tried a nonstimulant (Straterra/Atomoxetine) for awhile which just made me feel like I was narcoleptic. He then wanted me to try low dose Vyvanse next. However, at this time I was about to leave... RE: Dev Bias - Understanding Explicit and Implicit Bias5h agoIn response to [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/1tmhinr/max_response_to_dev_bias/) and specifically Max's response, I wanted to take a minute to underscore the differences between explicit and implicit bias and give some real world examples. I'll start out by saying that I am a 15 year healthcare veteran. I have been in management/leadership positions in healthcare since 2019, and managing pharmacies in the retail (community), specialty and compounding settings. In healthcare, implicit bias training became a larger thing in the late 2010s. While I'm far from an expert on the subject, it is something that I have been conscious of for the better part of... Help my friend pay for her bills while she finishes nursing school6h agoIn May 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I started my first job after graduating while waiting to see how the job market would settle amid the pandemic chaos: a local pharmacy in my hometown. On my first day, I met Carmen\*. At first, I couldn’t quite tell what her personality was like from behind her face mask, but as she guided me patiently through working the cash register, assisting customers, and managing the store, I realized two things immediately on that first day: 1) that she was kind, and 2) that, despite me being a frustrated college graduate and her a high school junior experiencing remote learning for the first time, she and I would be friends. And I was right: she ... My table's current homebrew6h agoHiya chooms. We have revised our homebrew list to be more reflective of the content R. Tal has released. Please enjoy and feel free to use it as you see fit. FABRICATIONS: CYBERWARE: Arms of Steel “Tackle the QB in that flag football game, Be a man.” 3,000 (V. Expensive) EB. Hospital. 4D6. Each comes pre-installed with a Reinforced Cyberlimb Upgrade (black chrome) that doesn’t cost any humanity loss or take up a Cyberarm option slot. The Reinforced Cyberl... In early covid i worked at a CVS pharmacy7h agoI believe pharmacy stores (CVS, walgreens etc) always bring in the kookiest people. I’ll always remember this one frail old lady who would come in right when we opened a bought a big box of Franzia white, then again at around 2/3pm, then finally 10 minutes before we closed. Thats 15Ls of wine in a >125lb woman. She was a cold ***** and would always **** up the card machine. The Covid test scalpers always looked like those guys in the videos scalping pokeman cards, big and schlebby and would always huff and puff when i pointed to the “3 COVID TESTS PER PERSON” sign My favorite was this white guy in his late 50’s who would just stand by the register while his mail order asian... New BMJ meta-analysis: calcium and vitamin D supplements don't prevent fractures (69 RCTs, 153K patients)8h agoI walked into our kitchen last week and saw a pink tub of Viactiv chews on the counter. My wife picked them up at the store. She wanted to do something for her bones, and calcium chews are the obvious move when that's the goal. The recommendation to take calcium and vitamin D for bones is not biohacker advice. It's straight mainstream medicine, the kind you hear from OB-GYNs and primary care doctors, and it's why every pharmacy aisle has a wall of these products. Then BMJ published [this systematic review](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/42161415/) on May 20. 69 randomized trials, 153,902 patients, mostly community-dwelling adults at low fracture risk. The exact demographic t... PIO PSA - less discomfort by changing manufacturer and needle type8h agoThought this might be helpful for anyone else dealing with progesterone in oil. **TLDR: far fewer side effects/less discomfort using PIO manufactured by Hikma, instead of Eugia, and using needles from the brand Exelint, instead of UltiCare.** I noticed a significant difference in my response to PIO during my recent cycle compared to my experience during a transfer cycle in February. My recent injections were much more painful, I was markedly sorer and had a lot of bruising. It felt like I had done an intense glute workout, I was wincing when crossing my legs, and getting up and down really hurt. I couldn't believe how uncomfortable I was. It was driving me crazy that this experi... when is a good time to check out stores for needohs8h agoi refuse to pay anything higher than retail, but i haven’t had any luck looking for needoh’s at stores. i don’t even want anything crazy i just want the nice ice baby 4 pack 😭😭 i have walmart, target, five below, cvs, walgreens, staples nearby. what are some times you usually find needoh’s in these stores? and do they restock everyday or every other day? Spotted at Walmart!!8h agoWas on a board for Pharmacy Services at the front of the store. A reflection on the ~3 year journey through dementia from the very beginning to loss at the end11h agoThree years ago I don't think I really knew my father was developing dementia. I was just puzzled why he couldn't understand how deductions from his social security worked. He ran a business and had no problem whatsoever with accounting. He loved sitting down and analyzing every aspect of every expense. Summer 2023 rolled in and life was largely normal. He was somewhat of a grumpy person in life, but had even grumpier moments this summer. I still didnt think much of it. In fall 2023 I started, GOD FORGIVE ME, to joke he had dementia. He was freaking out over small things like the cat sitting on top of the fridge and he would get hurt. As fall 2023 progressed into Christmas I could... Getting controlled substances early for vacation11h agoI’m probably super over thinking this, but I take my Xanax for anxiety and panic attacks so fretting constantly is my natural state. :) I‘m going out of town next month a few days before my medication is due for refill. I’ve been taking my prescription for over 20 years, same doc, same cvs pharmacy across the street from my house. I am due for a refill next month on 6/23, but I leave 6/18 to go to Atlanta (I live in Oceanside, CA) until 7/19. I am thinking about trying to get an early fill due to my travel plans. But a couple of things concern me. I have refilled early due to travel only once before and it happens to have been this past October. so only 8 months ago. That makes two ... ADHD Med Shortage - Local Pharmacy Suggestions?12h agoNeed some advice from anyone local who’s dealt with ADHD medication shortages. I usually use Capsule for all my prescriptions, but the only ADHD medication I’ve been able to consistently get there is name-brand Adderall XR, which is costing me $200+ a month. My doctor recently tried switching me to Adderall IR, but Capsule doesn’t carry it. I’ve also tried looking into Vyvanse with no luck. I know there’s a nationwide shortage, but I’m feeling stuck. I’ve already called 10+ pharmacies and mostly just get told they don’t have anything in stock. I also tried CVS Caremark, but for some reason my psychiatrist can’t find them in his prescribing system. Does anyone in the neig... Pharmacy Store Simulator ⚕️💊 Gute Besserung [ 🔴Live ]13h agoFree Pharmacology App14h agoHey y’all! I recently updated my pharmacology trivia app called Million Dollar Mechanism that’s primarily aimed at pharmacists, clinicians, and pharmacy tech trainees. It’s a free app and hope y’all would appreciate it. Right now it’s designed as a “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” game but with random questions. I plan to add some more modes to the game along with more questions (board-specific questions, NAPLEX, NCLEX review for RNs, etc.) Let me know what y’all think, I’d appreciate any feedback! iOS (Apple) link: [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/million-dollar-mechanism/id6761089090](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/million-dollar-mechanism/id6761089090) Google Play Store... Disabled and divorced after 16 years15h agoIt was 3-21-2025 and the 16th anniversary of one of the best days of my life. It was one of the only things that day that was positive. I had my spine fused at L-4 and L-5 on 11-06-2024 and was in physical therapy and regaining mobility and experiencing less pain and side effects. The problem was that I had developed anemia and had lost about 45 pounds since my surgery. I had been polycythemia "very high red blood cell levels" most of my life and was now so low that I needed blood transfusions to have enough red blood cells to properly oxygenate my body. I was seeing a pathologist who tested me for every disorder that could cause my situation. I had tested negative for everything s... I need help19h agoOK, so it’s been about a month and a week since I started being a pharmacy tech. I’ve never had any experience with medicine or pharmacy before, and this is only my second job. I think I’ve been doing pretty good overall, but there are still a lot of things I struggle with For example, when filling prescriptions, the way I count is kind of like “3 + 2 = 5,” and then I keep adding another 5 instead of counting all 5 at once. I’m not sure if that’s considered slow or not. Another issue I have is TPRs. I know some very basic things, like when I try to refill a prescription and it says “drug not covered” or “insurance not valid,” but anything beyond that I usually strugg...
