I love that the radio changes!!

As a chronic retail worker I LOVE that CVS changes up the music they play in stores!! Saves so many of us from job fatigue. Does anyone know if the change-ups happen on some sort of schedule, maybe quarterly, or if they’re random?

Chime Referral Code ~ Free 100$

Here's CHIME referral link [https://www.chime.com/r/vinceulissi/](https://www.chime.com/r/vinceulissi/) **J**ust get a deposit of 200$ from your employer Don't have direct deposit? Do an ACH push (direct deposit) of $200 or more from an external bank into your Chime account. While the terms do say a direct deposit is required, in practice, an ACH push (fancy work for bank account transfer) from almost any external bank account will trigger the direct deposit requirement and get you your bonus. I used Wells Fargo for mine. Other good accounts to use are Ally, Chase, Capital One 360, Marcus By Goldman Sachs, and many others. I have been told robinhood works. Not sure about cashap...

Where to go at night before you park?

5h ago

I’m new to car dwelling (about a month.) I typically shower at the gym at night and am done by 9pm when they close. That means from 9pm to 12am I have nowhere to go. I’ve tried pulling up to spots earlier \~11/11:30 but the lots are more active and I feel uncomfortable. I typically rotate between parking lots open at night to browse my phone or prep the car (grocery store, movie theater, pharmacy,) but I’ve now had a security person follow me into the store and stalk my car. I typically will go into the grocery store or pharmacy but perhaps this makes things more suspicious? It doesn’t help that I have light sensitivity and typically wear dark glasses indoors, even at night. I’m ...

An observation on promotions and transfers it’s a process ….

The best receive full-time positions entering the company if you’re part-time make strides towards becoming full-time. Pharmacy is limited on hours depending on Tiers and budget cuts. We pick up hours during flu season. A cashier wanting to enter the pharmacy must demonstrate their proficiency in SOP! We have many coworkers trying to go through some workaround to move past current pharmacy personnel. When the cashier moves into the pharmacy, they should become PTCB certified. The main focus should be knowing Intercom Plus in and out with limited help from the pharmacist! Then, said technician should learn all of the policies to become a senior technician. When a technician becomes proficie...

Thinking about contacting a law firm about the issues at Amazon and Capcom with the pre-order fiasco.

7h ago

I have gotten several settlement payments through them from CVS, Sony PlayStation Store, eBay, Twilio, etc. I am wondering if maybe those of us who got screwed over maybe we have a case? I am just wondering if maybe I should send them an email along with some of the threads here and some YouTube videos complaining about the same thing. I, for example, have had my money hostage for almost 3 months. That's about $96 they charged me immediately, and I still have no game. Maybe I am just frustrated. Thoughts?

How do we count immersion in terms of understanding progress timeline?

8h ago

Just as a mental note, or mental conceptualization—not necessarily as literal hours, I guess since I don’t know that it’s exactly possible to count the literal hours here. I’ve been doing DS and I had a goal of getting through Level 4/reaching Level 5 before moving to a Spanish speaking country. I reached that goal and I’m glad I did. I left an English speaking country and suddenly I am now in a Spanish speaking country where few people speak English. If I want something or need something, it’s happening in Spanish. The plumber comes by? Spanish. The electrician comes by, Spanish. My dog needs to go to the vet, Spanish. My spouse needs antacids from the pharmacy, Spanish. Si...

Anxiety is running/ruining my life.

9h ago

It has always been prominent, but now it is out of control. I (28F) used to be able to somewhat function normally the first 15 years Ive had anxiety and panic disorder, but no longer. I’ve developed these nervous tics like nose sniffing and snorting that get more excessive and worsen when anxiety peaks and while eating. This results in almost choking nearly daily because I can’t stop snorting and sniffling with food in my mouth/ throat . I constantly feel winded or out of breath. Small tasks wear me out now that my anxiety has rendered me sedentary mostly. Now especially, as my anxiety has riddled me, everything is ****. I only leave the house for the bare minimum, my children, the pa...

Buying sex toys in store

10h ago

Girls, I’m curious to know, I see the ‘sexual wellness’ section of some big chain stores and pharmacies like Boots and Walmart has more products - if you bought a sex toy in-store, why would you do it there and not online? Are there benefits I should know about? And what should I look for on the outside? They all kind of look the same.

Pharmacies and talking labels

12h ago

For the longest time, I used CVS for all of my medications. When I started taking my glaucoma drops a few years, they didn't have one of them in stock, so I had to switch to Walgreens. I asked Walgreens if they had the talking labels, but they said they didn't have the staff to teach them how to do it, unfortunately. I heard of the mail-order accessible pharmacy, but I live in an apartment complex, plus the postal service near me stinks. Thankfully, all my bottles are different shapes and sizes, so that helps. Anyone else have this issue?

🦷 Hidden Customer Acquisition Strategies for Dental Clinics

14h ago

# I. Corporate Collaboration (Seriously Undervalued) # 1. Outsourcing Corporate Dental Benefits Many small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 50 employees cannot afford group dental insurance but still want to provide benefits to their staff. You can design an "Annual Corporate Dental Health Package" (300-800 yuan per person per year), prepare an A4 proposal, and personally visit HR departments in nearby industrial parks and office buildings. Signing a deal brings in 20-100 stable patients with almost no attrition. # 2. Establish Oral Health Partnerships with Kindergartens/Primary Schools Contact kindergartens within a 3-kilometer radius and propose a "Free Childre...

Accepted a hospital per diem, retail transfer going nowhere

15h ago

Just accepted a per diem hospital tech position and now figuring out what to do on the retail side. I am currently working in retail pharmacy as a part time job and float to the store closer to my home beside working in the home store. Transfer request has been stuck for over a month. Home store manager says they can't move forward until they hire my replacement, with no timeline. Been floating at another location that I really like — great team, great management. HR cleared the hospital job for my days off. The goal is the good retail location plus the hospital, but the transfer isn't moving. One more conversation with home store, or just two weeks notice? Non-rehirable is on...

Retail PIC @ grocery store (inner city) → PA remote role. Burned out but scared to leave stability

15h ago

Hi Reddit fam. Looking for some honest input. I’m a pharmacy manager for an inner city grocery store pharmacy with \~8 years in retail. I also have an MS in Regulatory Science and completed 1 of a 2 year regulatory fellowship in industry. Ended back in retail due to financial reasons. I’m honestly just…burned out. The workload, hours, tedium, and lack of support have gotten to the point where I know I cannot do this long-term. I was offered a remote Medicare prior auth pharmacist role through a contracting agency (6 months, \~$55/hr, possible extension but not guaranteed). It’s a class of \~30 pharmacists, mostly from retail. On one hand, this feels like the way out—remote work...

retail transfer stuck for a month — just put in notice?

15h ago

Just accepted a per diem offer at a hospital and trying to figure out what to do with my current retail situation. Been waiting on a transfer for over a month. Home store keeps saying they can't approve it until they hire a replacement, but nothing has moved. I've been floating at another location where the team and management are completely different in the best way. HR confirmed the hospital job is fine to work in CVS pharmacy on my days off. Ideally I end up at the good store plus the hospital, but the transfer is going nowhere. Debating whether to ask home store one more time or just put in two weeks. Non-rehirable is a possibility — honestly not sure it matters to me at t...

15h ago

We were deep in our home search last year and my wife wanted to see how close we were to certain locations. So for every listing we were serious about, she'd open Google Maps and manually search for the nearest grocery store, pharmacy, school, hospital, and a few other places we cared about (like Costco). It worked, but it took forever because she did the search one by one. So I built [Nearby](https://near-home.vercel.app/). You can enter any address, pick the categories, enter custom points of interest, and instantly see the closest locations. Everything is visualized on a map with the route of each location being shown simultaneously. A few things that might be useful: * You can ...

A Builder’s Remedy Project at 8844 Burton Way has Finally Been Approved by the Beverly Hills City Council!

16h ago

The 26 story, 321 foot tall high rise has had to walk through fire to finally get approved. It was initially only 20 stories but was upsized through Builder’s Remedy after the city of Beverly Hills — predictably — failed to meet housing goals. The project was then upscaled to its current size and now includes 200 studio, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments along with parking stalls for 316 vehicles The project faced numerous legal challenges, including challenges over the distribution of affordable units. The developer Crescent Heights addressed those concerns and readjusted the distribution of the affordable units, but then the Beverly Hills Planning Commission rejected the project on...
