I feel bad for the pharmacy staff at Walgreens right now. They’re overworked and patients are suffering.5h agoIt’s clear to me that due to budget cuts, the Walgreens corporation is intentionally cutting back on staffing. Not only does this result in burnout for the staff, but the patients are suffering as well. It takes days to get some prescriptions filled, everything is always out of stock, errors are made, and the customer service is generally very poor. I directly contribute this to the fact that these employees are overworked, undervalued, and very likely underpaid. I highly advise anyone who is looking to be become a technician/pharmacist to look elsewhere. Maybe CVS can provide a better work environment? For patients who may read this, don’t choose Walgreens as your preferred pharmacy and... New loadouts the first is ronograd special forces medic and last is arctic5h agoI think someone tried to kidnap me.6h agoThis happened a while back but I still think about it often. Important context, this happened at an intersection of two roads. Imagine a set of stores (grocery store, CVS, florist) in one area and, directly across the road (which has like 6 lanes of traffic) is a coffee shop. I lived near the grocery store. It was roughly 9am in the morning, sunny. And the road was relatively busy, there were plenty of cars though I was the only person on foot in the area. I am an average sized woman. I was on the corner with the grocery store, waiting for the crosswalk light to say I could cross, when a car “parked” very close to me, in the grocery store parking lot. I am not a car person so all I kno... Gestational Diabetes6h agoHas anyone else experienced becoming incredible sick, unwell, and starving since starting the GD diet? At 26 weeks I failed the 1 hour glucose test. I did the 3 hour test a few days after and failed it again. They set me up with a dietitian to start the gestational diabetes diet. And they ordered my glucose reader through my pharmacy. For context, I have PCOS and was taking metformin for my insulin resistance prior to pregnancy. I stopped taking it because in the 1st and most of 2nd trimester I could not eat enough food to satisfy the metformin and it would give me awful stomach cramps (not uterine cramps). My appetite has improved since then though it still wasn’t a large appetite. Sin... Very hot take. Sorry7h agoSo I’m an SFL. I’m a registered technician. I’ve worked back in the pharmacy for a long time. So I know you guys go through **** sometimes. T4 pharmacy and t5FE But holy **** so many of you are so lazy. We’re all a team, but all the different stores I’ve worked out. Yall just page a FE member to help a customer find something, or answer questions that you guys absolutely should know or find. (And no line) it happens so often it’s actually insane. For the techs that get off their butts and take 5 seconds to walk outside the pharmacy to help a patient. Thank you. Tired of taking meds8h agoI got diagnosed at 18 with bipolar and have been cycling through different medications for 4 years. Earlier this year I dumped the most recent batch of meds that didn't work and it was enough to open my own ******* pharmacy. I want to be on medication, when I am on the right one that doesn't have horrible side effects, it is tremendously helpful! But it's just exhausting. It's so frustrating not being able to spontaneously stay out late if I forget to put my meds in my purse. It's frustrating having to battle with CVS every couple weeks for the same medications my provider has already sent in. It's infuriating having to titrate up and ween off new medications mo... Beware Ajanta generic duloxetine8h agoCVS recently switched to duloxetine made by Ajanta Pharma. For me, Ajanta's duloxetine is much less effective. The 30 mg is in an all blue capsule. Other pharmacies appear to be switching as well. Giant Pharmacy was able to special order from a different manufacturer. My thanks to Giant. New pharmacist struggling with assistant and trying not to become resentful/toxic9h agoI’m a newer pharmacist and I’m struggling with how to professionally manage one specific pharmacy assistant. I started off very friendly/chill because I wanted a positive work environment, but I think boundaries became blurred with this particular assistant and now I’m finding myself becoming increasingly frustrated and emotionally withdrawn. Main issues include: \- taking excessively long breaks during peak hours (and what honestly appears to be time theft, since they often clock out later than when they actually leave the pharmacy and clock back in earlier than when they actually return) \- constant phone use/watching shows during busy periods \- transferring simple tasks/call... Store Manager disabled page10h agoSo our store manager got fed up with working in pharmacy and disabled the page function throughout the store. I can't even. Could anyone please help me find this novel "My Second Chance Incubus"10h agoChapter 1 Through the half-open door, Ezra's words, full of disgust, drilled into my ears without missing a single syllable. I stood frozen in place, my mind going completely blank. The customer service from the incubus store was still urging for a reply. I mechanically tapped open the chat box, my typing fingertips trembling uncontrollably. \[Yes.\] Receiving my reply, the representative seemed as if granted a pardon, hastily promising that the new incubus would arrive at my door in three days. \[What about the old one?\] I asked. The reply came quickly. \[Dear customer, a malfunctioning incubus is considered a defective product. Normally, it needs to be returned for maintenance.\] \[B... what are the best healthcare jobs in aus?11h agooption 1; i am considering allied health sciences. however, i am unsure about which ones have a decent pay and are relatively enjoyable - which ones are the best? i've looked online about pharmacy but i have heard that in australia it is a bit difficult due to all the chemist warehouse retail stores, and the pay is significantly less when compared to the US. i'm also considering OT but i am fearful it will be difficult to get in due to lots of people wanting to do it at the moment so the ATAR cut offs will probably be much higher. option 2; since i heard about the pay for pharmacists being significantly higher in the US, how difficult is it to obtain a student visa to move to the ... Not even 5% Cashback for below ₹250 transaction on Swiggy11h agoAfter the devaluation, I thought that at least I would get 5% cashback for my below Rs 250 transactions on Swiggy using my **HDFC Swiggy Credit Card**, but no. Only 10% category cashback is seen in my Statement. This document shows that 5% Cashback is not for Swiggy spends. Has anyone got it? Pre-Pharmacy program opening up!14h agoSo I am pretty excited because I have several years of pharmacy technician experience I see they are partnering with cvs caremark to help technicians getting into a pharmacy program, what do you guys think about this? I am honestly stoked! https://preview.redd.it/xtak3oq9qg1h1.png?width=532&format=png&auto=webp&s=2d4a33d64b593e9fabb2fd69b7b440815bf2e511 lower blepharoplasty with dr. emir dogan14h agoI'm currently on day 7 post op from a lower blepharoplasty (transconjunctival) with Dr. Emir Dogan. I wanted to detail my whole experience and include any tips I can think of since reading these helped me so much while I was still deciding. I'm not keen on posting pictures but I would say I put everything in the descriptions. Overall I'm happy with my lower bleph, I'm still healing but I think it will settle well. I had bags and they are mostly flat now. The experience itself was smooth and I felt well taken care of the whole time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dogan if you're down to travel. **Decision:** So if you've researched you already know, but I wa... Speciality medication and deductibles question20h agoVery new to American healthcare but I understand the basics of deductibles, out of pocket max etc. I have coverage from work with BCBSIL, PPO+ Plan. The pharmacy benefit is CVS Caremark. The plan has $1,100 individual deductible and $4,400 OOPM (double each for family). I take a "speciality" medication for MS (Kesimpta) which CVS covers 70% of. I get copay assistance from Novartis which pays the remainder but this is done through "PrudentRX" <-- this is the bit I'm not familiar with at all, Novartis gave me card details which Prudent & CVS then took off me. Anyway, I thought that the 30% I pay would wipe out my deductible straight away and then quick... 2026 World Cup Sticker Packs21h agoAny other collectors in Raleigh? I haven’t had any luck finding the albums or stickers in many of the walgreens or cvs stores in the area. Does anyone know the name of this hand cream?21h agoI went to a pharmacy with my dad a couple years back and the pharmacy there recommend me a a hand cream used it for a while they told me to use it after washing my hands after a month my eczema was all better. Fast forward now I'm getting the exact same rough feeling like before and I tried to go back to the same pharmacy however the man who helped me had retired and I tried my best to describe the cream to the new workers but they didn't know what cream I was talking about. I'll try my best to describe it so sorry if it's really helpful I'm not exactly sure, but I'm pretty sure the bottle was like a cream peach colour or white. However, I think it was crea...
