I found my dream dress and the saleswoman fitted me for a size 42. The sample dress they had in store happened to also be a 42, photos showing how it looked on me. I didn’t realize in store that she didn’t lace me all the way, so it’s not a great representation of exactly how it would look. Based off the photo of the size chart with my measurements next to it, 42 would be right for the waist but way too big on the bust (I guess the hips don’t matter because the dress poofs out?). I ordered the 42 based on her recommendation, but when I went home and looked at the photos of myself and photos of the dress on models, I thought I should size down and switched it to a 40. Ive been a stylist for 6 years but i've been out of the game for a while (1 year). How can I rebuild/grow my clientele? I know at least 1/3 of my clients are coming back to me. I post on Instagram semi regularly and have a decent following but tbh ive only gotten a handful of clients through Instagram over years. When I was working I also used to hand out a lot of business cards but didn't have much luck there either. The majority of my clients were referrals. So please how do you build a clientele from scratch? Are there specific areas that I should hand out business cards, grocery store/mall/near other salons/fashion district?
