I don't mean thrift stores or antique malls where you might find a rack of old clothing. I mean actual (physical) stores that just sell cultivated items. I'd assume most would be in cities where they can scrape out a living? I just found one in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania and it was like a dream walking through racks of clothing from the 1930-1990s. Dresses, jewelry, petticoats, fur coats, hats, shoes...I only had 45 minutes so I have to go back soon to spend more time.

Hello all! I am visiting Bhutan for the first time in a few weeks and I’m a fashion lover. Every country I visit I try to pick up some clothing from local designers to add to my collection. I also sew so I like to purchase local textiles that are difficult or impossible to find where I’m from. I’d like to start a clothing line/ store but I have no experience in the fashion industry. I’ve got a masters degree in a humanities subject and good taste but that’s it. I don’t want to simply buy and resell clothes, I’d like to have some creative control over the designs. Is it possible to do this without any experience?
