Hello all! I am visiting Bhutan for the first time in a few weeks and I’m a fashion lover. Every country I visit I try to pick up some clothing from local designers to add to my collection. I also sew so I like to purchase local textiles that are difficult or impossible to find where I’m from. By that I mean I’m not necessarily looking for scarves and such to wear, though open to it, but rather fabric or textiles I can buy by the yard or meter and turn into clothing. I’d like to start a clothing line/ store but I have no experience in the fashion industry. I’ve got a masters degree in a humanities subject and good taste but that’s it. I don’t want to simply buy and resell clothes, I’d like to have some creative control over the designs. Is it possible to do this without any experience?
