I’m documenting my two years at FIT (MFA in Fashion Design), and I’m currently in my second semester. I’m just sharing as I learn and experiment with different materials. I made these swatches from leftover leather I found at the fabric store. My thesis is mainly based on my grandmother’s work. She practices an art form called Sanjhi, which originates from Mathura and Vrindavan, India. The frames I’ve attached here (last two slides) were my inspiration, and they’re all her work!! It's all made with paper and the tiny surgical scissors. Her grandfather also practiced the craft!

Not necessarily formal shoes, just everyday shoes and trainers, but from actual stores that specialise in shoes (including highstreet shops like Clarks), instead of cheap own brand shoes from highstreet retailers i have a young child and will only buy from Clarks or Start-Rite as the quality level and fit is pretty noticeable compared to fashion retailers. This post is somewhere between a show and tell and a questions post. I’ve been doing research on this cameo but am not an expert - some of my understanding could be incorrect and I don’t want to mislead. I suspect this is a mid-century brooch (not late 1800’s-early 1900’s) and it appears to be hand-carved shell. From what I’ve read, left-facing cameos were less common in the Victorian era and most scalloped brass brooches like this were costume. Hi, my daugher has flat feet and has started to develop mild bunions. I have insoles to help her avoid and have shown an orthotist. I know all the standard stuff like, try to get a wider toe box, etc. but am struggling to find a shoe she will ACTUALLY wear. She'd prefer crocs (no support and would be hard to add an insole), Ugg style shoes (no real support), or converse, and loves fashion and is pretty girly, so I'm struggling to find something she'd actually wear. Like, using Future Peri as an example, I like to hc she spent weeks or even months sketching out her new fit with the star and pointy visors. Then, logically since reforming to a new permanent style takes getting poofed, shed literally have to tell Lapis or Bismuth to slice her💀 It's amusing to think about those logistics, but also interesting world building! Imagine a fashion store for gems where it's just magazines of fashion ideas to purchase. This could introduce a whole new job for some gems where their job is just to slice and dice other gems that want to reform with new outfits on.

I am new here, but I have been wearing glasses all my life. Every optical store I went to, the opticians will give me fashion advice. Actually they **** clients browsing through their displays. However, most of the posts here are asking advice, and their choices of glasses are either way too big, or not suitable for their faces.
