Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Chicos Latest Community Discussions About ChicosA Good Old Fashioned Book Burning3h agoHazel Petti was the bane of our existence. By "ours", I don't just mean the students at Clara Perkins Elementary School. Everyone in town had a poor opinion of Ms. Petti, presuming they had the unfortunate luck to meet her. Opinions that ranged from mild annoyance to deep-seated hatred. If you ran a nearby business, no matter what kind, you could bet on Ms. Petti paying a visit now and again. Usually for no other reason than to search for a product or practice to get upset about. When the town fair advertised a '50s theme, complete with a kissing booth, quite a few teenagers were anticipating the opportunity to... donate and support the local book drive, of course. How... How to Travel with Ties: Keeping Your Solid and Patterned Favorites Wrinkle-Free5h agoYou've invested in quality neckwear. You've mastered the art of tying a perfect knot. But none of that matters if you arrive at your destination with a tie that looks like it survived a wrestling match with your luggage. The truth? **Traveling with ties doesn't have to be a gamble.** With the right techniques, your solid silks and patterned favorites can arrive as crisp as they left: ready to elevate your presence at that important meeting, wedding, or dinner. # Why Wrinkle-Free Ties Matter More Than You Think A wrinkled tie broadcasts one message: unprepared. It doesn't matter how well-tailored your suit is or how polished your shoes look. **That creased piece of silk... Tammie has stated the following: *“I told Drew & Tony about the... Desperately wanting to escape Retail to get into the Charity sector!5h agoI’ve been working in fashion retail for 14 years and currently am a Store Manager. I **** it, I don’t connect with the world of fashion and all I want is to do a job that has purpose. I was thinking to get into the charity sector, jobs like: Support Coordinator, Casework Assistant, Outreach Support, Support Worker… People out there that are currently in these roles, is it worth it? Could I do it even if I have no experience in the sector??? Thank you! Belt Buckle Etiquette6h agoHello everyone, Today I saw a lovely belt buckle for sale on the internet that was decorative. It occurred to me that I’ve actually seen quite a few artwork buckles, and I’ve definitely seen plenty of cheap ones at gas stations. What is the general reason behind the etiquette opinion of not wearing western belt buckles that you did not win or were not given? At what point do you go from “dime store cowboy” to “great buckle purchase”? Is it an element of fashion, quality, or me more cowboy than you? Sincerely, Cowgirl with small dreams of winning a buckle A few pics from my first time in Chile7h agoI wanted to share a few photos from my first time in Chile (and first solo trip in South america). Despite coming on a national holiday and arriving to empty streets (which was quite an eerie experience) where everything was closed except for a few small local convenience stores, I was warmly welcomed by the shopkeepers and even made a friend after a taxi ride turned into a sight-seeing tour. I came with little expectations and left very impressed. I first spent a week in Santiago, where I stayed in Providencia. I recommend staying around here as it's a very safe and modern area. My first day, I went exploring. I saw this cool park on Google maps and thought I’d check it out (also m... About That Ginseng…7h agoI got on here to say my GMI—as measured by my continuous glucose monitor—which is similar to A1c, just hit 5.9 for the first time in at least 10-15 years. Six and above is diabetic I think. I’d have to brush up on it though. For the record, my A1c normally runs from almost 10 to over 12. I’ll be trying some different things, including this biometric wrist band, the [Hume Band](https://humehealth.com/pages/hume-band), which you can buy with the [Hume Pod](https://humehealth.com/pages/hume-body-pod) for extra goodies. I also looked at a watch brand that works with both iOS and the other kind, doesn’t require a subscription, is less expensive than the most functional Apple Watch, ... Korea Solo Travel (20 YO Girl)- Any tips?7h agoHi everyone! I am traveling to South Korea for about 11 days in early April. This is my first true solo trip; previously, I’ve only traveled 'semi-solo' in countries where I had family nearby while staying in an Airbnb. I’ll be landing at Incheon International Airport and plan to focus on city tours, shopping for skincare and fashion, eating, and taking the KTX train to Busan. My must-see list includes: Bukhansan National Park The DMZ Gwangjang Market Animal cafes On the 6th, I have a facial and massage scheduled, so I’m looking for suggestions on how to spend the rest of that day! Preferences: What I’m NOT into: I’m not a K-pop fan. While I love history, I’m... I 21f have trouble accepting gifts from my 29m boyfriend. How do I talk to him about this?8h agoBefore I even get into it I’ll give a little bit of background. Yes, me and my boyfriend have a wee bit of an age gap lol. We met a few months ago over a shared hobby. He is everything I’ve ever wanted, intelligent, kind, and hilarious. My family loves him, and his loves me. We get along fabulously and I’m happiest when I’m with him. On to the “issue”. He has a really good job, and makes a lot more money than I do. I’m a college student with a part-time job. When we’re together, he buys everything. If we go to a nice restaurant, he pays. When we go to the grocery store, he pays. He got me a very nice pair of earrings for Christmas and a bunch of little stuff. He’s also a b... Verkada, Facial Recognition and CUSD8h agoChico Unified has signed a 2 million dollar contract to add AI and facial recognition software to school campuses. The software company is seriously compromised and problematic. Multiple staff have used the cameras and software to stalk and sexually harass female employees. They weren't fired until there was some national media attention, and even then, not all of them were. They've been hacked multiple times, and the company wasn't aware until the hackers notified law enforcement and media. 150,000 of their camera were hacked, allowing hackers live access to the video feeds of schools, prisons, women's health clinics, hospitals, police interrogation rooms, etc. The... Any INTPs into fashion here?9h agoI know it’s a pretty common stereotype for INTPs not to really care about fashion and only dress for comfort but I genuinely love fashion and I wanna see if there are any other INTPs that share my interest! I know being into fashion leans more xxFP because of it’s connection with self expression and artistry but I think one can approach fashion quite logically too. For me personally, I got into fashion because my best friends in high school were really into fashion and I noticed that they were a lot more well respected socially than I was. I admired that trait in them so I actively developed my sense of style. I started off with a goal style and kept evolving my sense of style until I go... Looking for artsy people9h agoI’m really into fashion (vintage / streetwear) and art, especially drawing and oil painting. I enjoy going to clothing stores, sketching, visiting art galleries, or just talking about creative ideas in general. I want to create my own fashion brand in the future. Just hoping to meet a few like-minded people to hang out or chat with. Open to grabbing coffee, drawing together, or checking out art/fashion-related stuff around the campus or in Toronto.
