I'm an ***** This entire time I thought the bananas were sold at $1.69 per kg like every other store. We are a small household so we can't eat that many bananas before they go bad, so I would spend time looking for the smallest bunch to avoid waste and save a few cents. I've alway thought there is no better place to live than the US, the American dream, all of that. But in the last year, I'm no longer that proud of us as a country, we're a banana republic just like all the countries we thought we were better. You can still make more money here than most places, but our freedoms are eroded, we **** each other, our leaders are sh-t, AI is coming for our jobs, health insurance is unaffordable, the list goes on.
