Hey! I’m starting an internship at a Big4 on a tech team next month. I’ve never worked in an office environment before so I haven’t owned suits. I am just starting to learn some niche rules like where my blazer’s wrist length should end, appropriate length for work skirts/dresses, etc. I’d appreciate any advice around this or what women at these companies generally wear or how they accessorize as my company’s dress code is business casual but I’ve heard jeans is a complete no go. So according to Kate, if we ever go shopping at Aritzia, it’s a “collab” and if a friend wants to take photos with us, we are suddenly “models”. Got it. ✔️ Kate this is so embarrassing for you. I know it’s not really TCU-specific news, but as it’s one of the most-popular brands I see on campus, I think a lot of TCU girls are going to be jumping for joy when Aritzia opens here.

What are your thoughts on the Aritzia quality? Their cost cutting has been more evident each year while they continue to increase the price tags. It’s unfortunate as I have always loved their clothes but it’s hard to look away when they are charging upwards of $160 for pure polyester and nylon.

Has anyone been successful at selling their clothes at Plato’s Closet? I have a lot of newer Aritzia jeans, dresses, tops and other brand named stuff that I wanted to get rid of because it’s not my style anymore.

do yall end up washing these colors together from aritzia? i’m namely talking about milkshake pink/lemonade/postcard blue etc, i just dont want the colors to fade or bleed! i typically wear darker clothing and never have a concern with them

As a 36 year old woman, there is increasingly less clothing out there for me in this store. Everything looks like a tween would wear or an early 20s uni girl out clubbing.. not to mention the sizes keep shrinking and the quality is going downhill to the point only a teen living at home and working part time at Wendy’s would pay up for their pieces. I am thinking about taking my laundry to a wash & fold service from now on, since it is my least favorite chore. The problem with that is it seems that a huge proportion of 'stylish' clothes, or rather clothes that aren't 100% cotton/aren't jeans or t-shirts, say to line dry or dry flat. I just started a new job that has quite a professional dress code. The job itself is in office most times, working at my desk, attending meetings, and sometimes short walks to different departments in the office. However I also have to go to site visits at time, not typically in really bad conditions, but I do have to be aware of the weather conditions. I have a 95% cotton 5% cashmere sweater, as well as a pair of Agency shorts that are 67% linen, 33% viscose. I usually size up cotton/linen and wash/dry in the dryer and they shrink, but are otherwise totally fine. I’ve machine washed cashmere on gentle cycle and laid flat to dry no problem. I recently washed a 100% cotton Boden sweater that said “hand wash only” and it had a little shrinkage but otherwise washed beautifully. Am I an ***** to do this with Aritzia clothes? They’re more expensive than I usually buy and I’m afraid to ruin them, but it would be a huge deal to be able to toss them in the washer/dryer without ruining them.

I'm in my early 30s F and while I do have staples in my wardrobe, I find that i'm so bored of my clothing. I rarely ever go shopping and for the most part, typically look put together with the pieces I do have (Aritzia, Zara, Shein, Old Navy, Marshalls/Winners). I’m 4’11” and 94 lbs. Usually am a 00 or xxs. My usual spots are Abercrombie and Aritzia which I’m finding so boring these days. As summer is among us I’m putting away the jeans and ready for some loose fitting breathable clothes and that includes linen. I’m interested in obviously a nontoxic fabric ideally 100% or close to 100% linen pants that are not going to break the bank. So far gap and old navy have “linen” pants for super cheap but obviously are like 30-50% linen which is not ideal. I found an aritzia pair that I like but are on the pricier side. I want to see if anyone here has any ideas on where to find a good value linen pants
