I only had to mainly type what I wanted and my job history, shortly after I got an email to schedule an interview and I’m feeling pretty happy about it. I didn’t apply for anything to be proud about but with this job market it’s hard and most applications I feel like I don’t get to express myself. It’s like they want to make sure each person is perfectly qualified, no personality involved, I feel like someone could be the most qualified person - but have the worst personality to customers. Everyone please, it's a hard time for Leland at the moment 😞15h agoVery Strange Sports Bar Encounter - Long Story, Did I Walk into a Cult?1d agoI'm a Chicago Cubs fan, but have lived in the Pittsburgh, PA area all my life. Earlier this season, when the Pirates were in Chicago, I decided to go to a sports bar to watch the game. Specifically one I've driven past a bunch but never given a try. Pittsburgh Sports Bar in Castle Shannon, right next to the Arby's. I went in there about 5-10 minutes before first pitch, in my Cubs gear, and there was one woman tending the bar, with an old couple sitting at the end of the bar. They both stared at me as I came in, as if I was an alien. Figured it was because I was wearing opposing team's gear. No greeting or anything. I sat myself down and just waited for the game to start, ... Post-pandemic world/economy is depressing.1d agoI look back at what the world was like in 2019, and it's like night and day compared to now. Everything is so much more expensive. I remember being able to go to fast food places like Arby's and McDonald's for their $1 menu. Now you're lucky if you get a meal for $8-10. I saw a loaf of Sara Lee bread at the store for $4.59 and almost had a (figurative) meltdown. Even hobbies like video games are crazy now -- an Xbox is $650 and some games are $80. But worst of all is the housing market. A 2-bedroom apartment where I live was $700 then, and now $1500. I've spent years saving up and working hard to hopefully become a homeowner, but that dream has become increasingly o... What should I eat and door dash or go get it? I didn’t sleep and I cried all night and my jaw hurts3d agoThis community is for curiosity not karma farming new user pass phrase I don’t want to spend money I have food here I can make a tortilla with peanut butter and cinnamon for a sweet. I want ice cream and then idk. Sushi, teriyaki, Taco Bell , Mexican restaurant, Arby’s, Dairy Queen, Popeyes, anything g else? I have lost weight and o know I shouldn’t eat junk I’ve been eating a lot of it lately too Live reporting from Crossiron Mills4d agoDid a bit of on the ground reporting last year, though it would be fun to do again this year. I'll edit and update this post with time stamps. 6:56am: arrived at the mall, still lots of parking, was able to park within view of the food hall doors. Lines for A&W, subway is dead 7:15am: walked around, mall opens at 8 but some shops have already opened at 7; bath body works, American eagle, Skechers, Urban planet. JD sports has a line forming. The Nike store is open and has a looooong line already. 7:18am Coach is open, no line. Michael Kors is not open yet and has a long line, Kate Spade has a small line forming 7:23 am; Lush has one husband in line 7:35 am; Completed f... It’s 8pm on Christmas Day; what’s open?5d agoI’m craving food that’s not home cooked but everything seems to be closed. Ive driven through the usual suspects; Taco Bell, Mickey Ds, Arby’s. Walmart and Target included. Its a ghost town out there except for cars. I truly think maybe 7-Eleven is my only option. Original Arby’s ALL OUR FOOD KEEPS BLOWING UP!5d ago[TOMT][YouTube] Looking for a YouTube parody of Arby's commercials6d agoCan you help me find a YouTube video that's a parody of Arby's commercials where the announcer goes "everybody is saying our food is ****! **** YOU!" verbatim pls it was so funny and I haven't been able to find that video in so long. I used to laugh so hard at how he says it. Got sick of the menu at my old job, made a pizza out of the ingredients :37d agoI got sick of the food at arbys, so I got a little. Creative with the menu. It was bbq chicken bc i was too lazy to attempt a pizza sauce. Just order a gyro with no lettuce, tomato, SUB bbq sauce, SUB 2 chicken tenders, no seasoning (the sub is important cuz you can avoid upcharge) add 1-2 slices cheddar + swiss, and as your side, do the 4 peice mozzarella. (Or you can buy the ingredients yourself, and it'll be much better tasting, and maybe a little better for you, though it IS a pizza so take that as you will.) (Please do this bit at home tho, dont ask the poor workers) Anyways, spread the bbq on the pita bread, and dice the onion and chicken, sprinkle it on evenly, dice up th... Is Dehradun slowly losing what made it special?8d agoI’ve been coming to Dehradun for years, and honestly, over the last decade or so it feels like the city has changed for the worse. Around 15 years ago, it felt like the kind of place you’d want to settle down in peacefully. Now, almost every street is lined with momo and fast-food stalls, most of them selling the same stuff with questionable quality. I tried momos recently: thick wrappers, barely any filling, and people happily eating kurkure or tandoori momos without caring what’s going into their food. Traditional hill food like chaunsa, tor, jhol. aloo ke gutke etc. is nowhere to be found, even on Swiggy or Zomato. It’s all cafés and junk. The general behaviour of people also f... I keep seeing posts asking why they should tip at fast food places. I'm assuming they mean like Micky-dees, Arby...9d agoI am in Northern Colorado. You'll likely to see a tip jar at an independent cafe, but never have seen mention of tipping, anywhere in the corporate "restaurants" Welcome to r/mangalore11d agoMangalore lies at a distance of 350 kilometers from Bangalore which is the capital of Karnataka and it is the main port city of the state of Karnataka. Mangalore also serves as the administrative headquarters of the south-west district of Karnataka called Dakshina Kannada and is bound by the mountain ranges of Western Ghat and the Arabian Sea on all sides. The city has got its name from Mangaladevi, the Hindu Goddess. Mangalore serves as the most important port of India and many a times it is also used as a point of staging for traffic of the sea near the Malabar Coast. Mangalore enjoys a tropical type of climate and it is mainly because of the South West Monsoon received by the city on the... Door Dash pepper spray12d agoSo allegedly in the door dash pepper spray incident the food came from Arby's. This seems like a case mad for Tom. Personal injury check, a chance to rail against Arby's check, and a chance to give that poor family justice check. It probably won't happen but it seems like it was made for him. Grinch meals rant13d agoThis is just a rant. I remember sometime at the start of the month my McDonald’s near me was selling those Grinch meal things and I took one good look at it on the screen and honestly that **** did not look appetizing or appealing. It looked like I was watching an Arby’s ad 💀🤮 Like I’m surprised people bought them out, like the place was out of those grinch meals the next day which that’s crazy. So I’m kinda curious and wanted to ask. Was it good and what the heck is Grinch salt? 😂 or was it something like you just wasted the food and kept the box and socks. It didn’t make sense honestly. You can get a pair of grinch socks anywhere for like $1. Idk I just thought thi... A Not So Quiet Crisis at U of M14d agoHey everyone, I do not usually post stuff like this, but my partner is in the union and I'm tired of powerful groups thinking they can do whatever they want. There is a large group of student facing staff at U of M who are in the middle of bargaining right now. It includes housing staff, mental health staff, academic advisors, childcare workers, librarians, admissions staff, and others that students interact with every day. The university’s current offer is a 3% raise for staff in Ann Arbor and a disgraceful 1% raise for staff at satellite campuses. A 1% raise is pathetic. What they're offering is basically what these workers were already getting before unionizing or even wor... trauma14d agoHi All, This is one of my two pitbulls, Penelope (Penny, Pempem, Pemby, Lala-arbys, Stinky). I adopted her in 2021 after my 15 year old heart dog, Sophie, passed away. At the time Sophie passed, she had a little Staffy brother named Wally. He was devastated after Sophie was gone, so we went to the humane society, and this little pocket pit, Penny, chose us. She was found wandering the streets of Atlanta on xmas day 2021. She was skinny and scarred when we took her in, and the vet, who estimated her age at about 2, said it looked like she had recently had a litter of pups. After we adopted her, she fattened up quickly and became a sweet, soft, little nugget in our family. Though she is so l... Fast food apps - do you have be a heavy user or can casual users benefit? Do you have to choose just one or 2 to get sav...15d agoOur family does not eat a lot of fast food. We get fast food periodically maybe on once a week if we’re buying more fast food than typical. I have several fast food apps to restaurants we would buy from: Wendy’s, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Arby’s and Jersey Mikes. I don’t use them at all. Awhile back I tried them but noticed some trends that made them feel like they weren’t worth it. Observations were as follows: \- Best deals were based on volume..or appeared to be. \- Deals pushed products we never wanted. \- Related to the first point, if you wanted the great deals, you had to commit to one restaurant to rack up points. Frequenting a variety of restaurants hurt your saving... Arguing Goldfish - Epi - 33 “Arby’s Limited Item Menu Rate and Review”16d agoArguing Goldfish - Epi - 33 “Arby’s Limited Item Menu Rate and Review” Continuing the debate about the popularity of Arby’s, Ed and I decided to try the new limited item menu and give our two cents on what we think about them.
