Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Apple Store Latest Community Discussions About Apple StoresApp that tracks which blocks you've walked2h agoI've always wanted to walk every block of the city but knew the overhead of tracking those walks would be a pain, so over the last couple months I made an app that checks off each block once you've walked it. Some friends wanted to try it so I just uploaded it to the App Store. It works for all 5 boroughs and you can turn on passive tracking so that your blocks are tracked without opening the app. There's also a leaderboard so you can see how your stats compare to other New Yorkers. The app is called WalkNYC and it's completely free. It's only on iOS right now but I'm looking into porting it to Android. Would love any feedback you all have! Here's the ... Worried and in need of advice2h agoI'm a 30 year old man, not yet diagnosed, but I'm on a multi-year waitlist to see an ENT and get some sort of treatment in motion. I live in Canada and the wait times for specialists are very, very long. I love that we have socialized medicine, but the wait is inexcusable for a lot of people. My family doctor is fairly certain I have the disease. My background is that about two years ago I woke up with fullness and low level tinnitus in my right ear and very reduced hearing in it as well. I also have hyperacusis where sounds like metal hitting anything or sharp voices are painful to hear. I thought it was an ear infection and managed to luck out and get a walk-in appointment abo... App that tracks which blocks you've walked (updated)2h agoSince I posted about WalkNYC last week I was shocked by the response: the app now has 967 users and at one point it was ranked #53 in the Navigation category of the App Store! Some fellow New Yorkers have started to help with the app and here's what we have planned for the next two weeks (based on the suggestions of Redditors): * Importing your existing walks from Strava, Apple Health, etc. * Now that the the leaderboard is filling up it's harder to find your friends. We'll create a group feature so you can compete with your friends, colleagues, etc. * Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly leaderboards so new users don't have to compete with users who have had the app for a... [RevShare]2h agoHello, I was wondering how those big games today were made. They started with one person at home making a game for fun, but people actually enjoyed it. That's why I'm here today. I was looking for someone who can contribute in any possible way to make a game that people would like. My idea is a 2.5D game of robots against each other with almost fully customizable "rumblers". If you want to see the whole idea, click here. All I need for now is someone who can write code, make graphics, be a great leader for the game, or someone who has a lot of experience making mobile games. My plan is to make a prototype and put it on Itch first. Then, get some people to play it. They wi... My Apple Watch SE (2022) sensors are not working2h agoHi there! I have an Apple Watch SE (2022) that I purchased in early 2024. It has been great up until now. My problem is that my sensors seem to be malfunctioning, first, I noticed that the raise to wake isn’t working, then on a walk it didn’t track my steps, calorie burn, average pace, it only had the time counter. I haven’t found anything online that seems to troubleshoot this problem, and calling Apple directly hasn’t been much help, as they wanted me to bring it to the store, but I wanted to ask you guys before doing that. Has anybody experienced this issue as well, and if so, is there any way to fix this? We built an all-in-one NYC transit app and would love honest feedback2h agoHey everyone! We recently launched a free NYC transit app and would love feedback from the community. The concept: subway, bus, regional rail, ferry, and airport connections in one place, without needing to jump between a bunch of different apps. We built Go NYC around the things commuters have told us they care about: customizable favorites, home screen widgets, live departures, regional rail integration, cleaner trip planning, and quicker access to the routes/stations you use most. It’s still early, so we’re actively shaping what comes next. iOS and Android, free, no account needed: 📱 App Store: [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/go-nyc/id6760516805](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/... Built a micro-SaaS (App Store screenshot tool, $4.99 one-time) — need 10-15 testers, free for now2h agoI'm an indie dev who got tired of spending hours in Figma every time I needed App Store screenshots. So I built a browser-based screenshot generator. Drop your raw screenshots, pick a layout, set text and colors, download. No Figma, no Canva, no account. I'm running a closed beta with 10-15 testers before opening it up. What you get: \- Free clean exports (no watermark) \- Use them however you want — App Store submission, marketing, whatever \- Generate as many as you need \- All Apple device sizes, multi-language support \- After beta: $4.99 one-time, no subscription, ever All I'm asking is that you fill in a short feedback form when you're done — what worked... Dead iPhone 16 pro max - recovery screen / no USB2h agoFor a test (software issue) I wanted to do a clean install of my iphone 16 pro max. Did a full backup (icloud and mac for safety) reset, clean install no issue Decided the issue was a core apple issue so I may as well restore my backup. Used ‘finder’ in macOS for this, but during restore I hit an error (4046). The phone was left in the ‘plug a cable in’ DFU screen Except that from that point on the phone was not detected in finder, apple configurator. Tried both on another mac, and even the apple devices app in windows. Went through apple chat, second line, and have an appointment at an apple store. My guess is the device is dead, unrecoverable, so about to see how they handle it... Got my first paycheck from a new job and I’m a bit confused on their tip payout policy?2h agoLocation: Tennessee, United States Recently started a new job at a baked goods store. It’s just a store front for the main bakery that is a few cities over. Think mall pop up booth kinda thing. I think it’s ****** but our terminal asks for tips when checking people out and sometimes they give a dollar or whatever. On busy nights though it adds up and I’ve had a few nights where my slips said $25 in credit card tips alone. I recently got my first paycheck however and noticed it was just straight (hourly\*#hours). I asked where the credit card tips were and was told that they do ((6\*#hours) - credit card tips during your shift). I.e if you work 6 hours and your clock out slip says... Good news if you live in Ireland!2h agoEarlier today, someone posted a picture showing that stores there are packed full of pokemon merch for us to buy!! The place in the persons pictures before his post got removed: McCarthy's Homevalue Location: Riverstown Business Park, Tramore, Co. Waterford (about a 20-minute drive from Dunmore East). This store has a pokemon card section that appears to have been undiscovered. Since the last poster decided to brag and share his wonderful find, I thought I would share the location so you guys can get some of these goodies too! Good luck and be sure to share what you find! 😊 Good news if you live in Ireland2h agoEarlier today, someone posted a picture showing that stores there are packed full of pokemon merch for us to buy!! Coworker put an emergency protective order against me2h agoI'm having an issue with a coworker. Yesterday at work two police officers showed up at my place of work to hand me two separate emergency protective orders against me. The police officer wouldn't tell me what I was being accused of. It is on the order. The police officer asked me if I knew these people and in all earnest I did not recognize the names. The male complaintant has a very common first name there's actually two other people in the store with the same first name that I am very familiar with. One of them has given me a rides to and from work because he lives in my area. This particular individual I had no idea who he was until I was shown a picture of him. The police... Offline Authenticator app + Selfhosting in new version, need help finding testers.2h agoI made a small Offline Authenticator App for 2FA verification. It includes app lock, import and export your otps as a file (you can chose if u want to secure the file with a password or not). The app is still in testing and is Android only. (My bank account is at 2$ after paying the 25$ fee, so... 99$/year for Apple is quite away from reach rn, but I am optimistic bout the future tho : ) ) The selfhosting uses a Debian Docker container with a simple Go server. You start by creating an account using an env file, then you can add more accounts. Right now, I am facing the problem of finding testers for the Play Store to apply for production. I need at least 12 testers who would u... Review Week 5/25/20262h agoDisclaimer - I am.. no longer an employee! Looks like Jason and the corporate idiots got their Mormon garments in a twist over my posts. Ya girl got fired 🙂↕️✌️ which ***** because I was their biggest cookie fan, and I loved mixing and baking. I was pretty **** good at my job! But for two years, I had promotions and promises dangled in front of me like a carrot on a stick, and was disappointed over and over again. I worked \*hard\* and they **** well knew that. BUT, I’m kind of glad it happened. I would have never quit, the company has made so many awful decisions that I stuck around for and I would continue to do. I felt stuck. I only met one good franchise owner, who help... A Network of Co-Operative General Stores2h agoThis concept centers on an incorporated multi-stakeholder co-operative network that serves as a modern, tech-driven alternative to corporate retail giants. Individual brick-and-mortar general stores across communities operate as the physical hubs, blending traditional local charm with contemporary efficiency. By uniting under a central network co-op, these independent locations leverage collective buying power to secure competitive wholesale pricing on staples, while maintaining the autonomy to source unique goods from local farmers and artisans. The operational backbone relies on a centralized digital ecosystem, featuring a shared inventory management system and a custom e-commerce mobile ...
