As per title, I'm 194cm and 110kg. Ive researched a ton, been to 5 different shops and honestly im no further forward with buying boots or skiis. Information so far from different stores and sources seems to wildly contradict one another and ofcourse id like to do it right. New to skiing this season. Generally a quick learner when it comes to sports or anything movement related. Sounds a bit big headed saying that. Ex Physical Education teacher. I would love both skiis and boots that support me in being a beginner but allow me to improve and grow in skill set. Hire skiis so far have been okay but again what im given at d... First ever pedal board! Always wanted one but never had an excuse until now.3h agoMy new years resolution was to be in a band and within a couple weeks I was recruited as a rhythm guitarist!!! Having only played in my studio at home, I never actually owned any pedals. So I went to my local used music store and went shopping. Everything is used except for the Earthquaker Plumes. I ended up not having room for a pedal, so I decided to nix the CH-1 - the band is a midwest emo/pop punk band so I fugured I could do without chorus for now until I get a bigger board. Since I was maybe 15 Ive always wanted my own pedal board, but never playing electric guitar live I could never justify it. It feels incredible having a board of my own and Im looking forward to growing the sound... Tumi help!3h agoDoes anyone have this specific suitcase? Curious about the quality since it's so discounted. I currently have an old ****** samsonite so at this point anything will be better How Are You Managing Organic Content for Your Shopify Store (Without Losing Your Mind)?3h agoSerious question for other Shopify store owners. Everyone says organic content is “free traffic”… but no one talks about how chaotic it actually is when you’re running the whole store yourself. How are you creating your videos? Are you filming product demos with your phone? Using UGC creators? Reposting ad creatives? Jumping on trends or sticking to a repeatable format? Do you script your hooks or just hit record and hope it works? How do you decide your CTA — “Shop now”, “Link in bio”, soft value-first approach? And most importantly… how do you know if a video is actually working? Views? Profile clicks? Shopify sessions? Actual sales? And here’s the real struggle: Do y... How do I get guys my age to notice me?3h agoI'm a 25-year-old woman and throughout my 20s thus far, I've never been able to catch the attention of guys my age. Mostly 40-year-old guys try to flirt with me at my job as customers or if I'm in a random store shopping, one of them will come up to me and say something, but I was never the type of twenty-year-old woman who was into dating someone twice my age so I see them as weird. I would just walk up to a guy my age and ask him out instead of waiting but i don't want to come off as desperate, aggressive, nor too masculine. PSA: Getting Approached in Public and Invited to Bi-weekly "Non-denominational" Bible Study? Shincheonji (SCJ)...3h agoWanted to share a warning about something that’s been happening a lot lately in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area. There’s a high-control group (cult) named Shincheonji (SCJ) that is aggressively recruiting young adults in our malls, coffee shops, grocery stores and on local campuses like GMU, GW, and UMD. The way they operate is really deceptive. I wanted to share the red flags so nobody else gets caught in the trap. Usually it starts with a random, super friendly person who approaches you alone. They might compliment your shoes or ask you to take a 2-minute "psychology survey" for a class. The whole goal is just to find out if you're Christian and get your phone n... Saudi needs to crack down on tour groups3h agoAllhamdullilah I’ve just returned home from completing my Umrah and I saw amazing parts of the ummah but also horrible parts. To preface I have a condition which sometimes leads me to becoming overwhelmed and can make it hard for me to regulate my emotions. Whilst doing umrah, I realised how violent these tour groups can be with 10-20 people shoving passed you even with nowhere to go. At one point my mom was praying behind maqam Ibrahim anda woman was about to stomp on her head during sujood and quite literally kept trying to walk on my mother until I physically had to push her back. I observed that the most violent groups were typically from South Asia and Turkey whilst groups from Ma... Got new car in March of last year. (22f) first car ever and here are the mistakes I’ve made in chronological order…a...3h agoSo boom. Got my car. Month later as I’m driving home from work someone side swipes me and runs. Didn’t get plates bc they ran. (Not my fault) luckily it didn’t cause extreme damage just a small dent and scratch. Drove car fine for months no accidents at all. One day I went door dashing for gas money and had to park on a narrow street. Red truck drives past and hits my side mirror and scrapes it and then tried to lie and say it was already scraped(it wasn’t) 2nd accident that was not my fault. Get it fixed and move on. Drive the car fine again no accidents for months. Boom December comes. I’m going to work it’s 8am. I’m at an intersection at a red light. When the light tu... I’m building a 3D printing community platform with revenue sharing. Thoughts?3h agoHey guys. I'm working at a space for 3d printing tools, name not set yet. I never shared this until today, doing it now because I already spent too much time without validating this, and I got tons of features and ideas. I will list details about the platform lower in the post, but I was thinking of a kind of "build in public", maybe you want something else, or you have better ideas. I would like to keep most of the platform free to use (including the 3d editor), but this will need money to keep going and I would like this to be a great space for the community and share the profit with creators. We have a ton of features, but the entire system will succeed only if cr... How do you usually find preppy pieces without going full retail?3h agoI’ve always liked the more classic side of preppy style. Navy, camel, tweed, knits, loafers, stuff that looks better with age. Lately I’ve been trying to avoid buying everything new and focus more on older pieces or things with a bit of history. Most of the time I check thrift stores, vintage shops, and forums. Sometimes I also just browse live auctions on [whatnot](https://whatnot.com/invite/dineritoreferido). Not really hunting for anything specific, more about discovering brands or items I would not normally look up. Curious how people here usually source preppy staples outside of standard retail. How do you usually come across boots that are not from the big usual brands?3h agoI am really into boots that feel built to last. Good leather, solid construction, stuff that ages well with wear. I still like the classic brands, but lately I enjoy finding lesser known models or older runs just as much. Most of my finds come from second hand shops, forums, and sometimes just browsing around online. I have also been casually checking live auctions on [whatnot](https://whatnot.com/invite/dineritoreferido). Not buying most of the time, just seeing what people are letting go and discovering brands I would not normally search for. Curious how people here usually find interesting boots outside of retail stores. How do you usually hunt for denim pieces you do not see every day?3h agoI am really into denim with character. Interesting fades, unusual cuts, older runs, stuff that feels worn in rather than brand new and perfect. I used to stick only to stores and second hand shops, but over time I started enjoying the hunt more than the buying. Lately I just browse places like [whatnot](https://whatnot.com/invite/dineritoreferido) to see what people are actually wearing and letting go. Live auctions, small sellers, random finds. Half the time I do not even buy anything, just looking and learning. Curious how others here discover denim outside the usual shops. Thrift, vintage, auctions, forums? Store manager blocked me into a car park space in a private car park - was this allowed?3h agoHi Reddit, Long time lurker on this thread, chain of events today has upset me quite a bit hence my first post. Just come back from seeing my private counsellor (England) to find my car had been blocked in. I park in a small car park with two businesses next to it (one being a well known UK business) and there’s bays labelled for customers of said store and I always stay away from them and park in another bay. There are no visible signs where I park to say I cannot park in these bays. A guy saw me looking confused when I saw my car had been blocked in and went “oh let me just get the store manager, that’s his car” store manager then came out and demanded where I’d been and if ... Where can I buy a good moka pot in Mestre (Venice)?3h agoHi everyone, I’m currently staying in Mestre (Venice area) and I want to buy a good quality moka pot (something like Bialetti or any reliable brand). Do you know any trustworthy stores around Mestre/Venice where I can find original products at a reasonable price? I’m looking for something durable and not overpriced tourist stuff. Any shop recommendations (electronics stores, kitchenware stores, supermarkets, etc.) would be really appreciated. Thanks!
