When you factor in the 4 am sleep deprivation, the store's metric goals, which aren't unreasonable by the way, it all just makes me feel a bit fatigued. It's already known that they preemptively import containers of popular merchandise to cut down on shipping costs. Plenty of fads get their own pop up stores (Labubu, fake designer goods, etc.), so clearly the costs associated with starting these up aren't massive. They can pile all the goods that aren't selling into these shops and flog them off for the same low prices as their website. I think the stores would go some way into qualming people's skepticism of Temu in general as they could see the goods in store.
