Design cookies while you sip spiced sangria

3h ago

A fried of mine is throwing this at her shop! She’s new to town and has a great little gift store with handmade goods, many of which she makes herself. She’s throwing this event where you design your own cookies and drink spiced sangria. Looks like a lot of fun, who’s in?

Want to earn extra MQDs and reach the next Medallion level before the end of the year? Here are the best ways! Option 1: Buy Delta tickets or paid upgrades, to be flown before 12/31. Yield—1 MQD per $1 or 100 SkyMiles spent, not including taxes. Option 2: Spend on a Delta-cobranded credit card. Yield—1 MQD per $20 spent on the Delta Platinum or 1 MQD per $10 spent on the Delta Reserve. (Note that the charge must clear and post to your account by 12/31 to qualify, and many charges take 2-3 days to fully clear after you make them.) Option 3: Open a new Delta-branded credit card. Yield: ~2500 MQD, depending on the card. (Yes, it can take 6-8 weeks for the MQD boost to post to your accou...

what will happen to India's small kirana stores in 5 years?

3h ago

Are Indian Mom-and-Pop Stores Slowly Dying Because of Quick Commerce? What Happens in the Next 5 Years? Indian mom-and-pop stores (kiranas) are seeing a massive decline because of the fast and extravagant growth of quick commerce players. What used to be mostly an tier1 city thing is now expanding aggressively into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. A lot of families depend on kirana stores for their primary income, but the whole retail economy seems to be shifting. Instead of starting small independent shops, more people are now choosing delivery jobs or service roles. People are becoming employees rather than owners. The market is flooded with quick-commerce options: heavy discounts, bulk costcu...

AstroArt Finland

3h ago

I ordered a mount (EQM-35 Pro) from AstroArt Finland in September. I inquired about the delivery date in October and they replied that they were expecting to have them at their warehouse/store in September. It's been 2 months since I ordered and now they will not reply my messages (email/discord) about the delivery date. I chose them 'cos I mostly saw positive experiences (did not check Trustpilot). I will try to get the order cancelled and my money back if they don't get back to me soon. My question is: which astro store in EU is reliable? I've read bad reviews from other shops too so I kinda at a loss here :( Thanks for any help!

Looking for Local Shops Interested in Stocking Rainford Honey 🐝

4h ago

Hi everyone, Hope it’s okay to post this here, if not then please let me know and I’ll delete it! I run a small local business called Myst~Tree Honey, based in Rainford, just outside Liverpool. I keep around 70 colonies myself and make everything from what the bees give me. It’s all small-batch, hands-on, and proudly local. A few shops in the area already stock my bits, and I’m now looking to expand to a few more independent shops, farm stores, delis, gift shops, garden centres, and eco-friendly retailers who might like to carry genuinely local products. Here’s what I currently produce: 🍯 Raw Rainford honey 🧼 Natural beeswax soaps 🧴 Oxymel (traditional herbal honey ton...

Lisa Says Gah Black Friday?

Never shopped from the website, and I’ve been wanting to check out the store on sunset. I know it’s generally priced on the higher end, does anyone know/think if they would have any sales for Black Friday?

Snow Blower Recommendation

4h ago

Hello neighbors, I’m shopping for a cordless electric snowblower and would love recommendations from people who actually use theirs in Ottawa winters. A few important constraints/details about my setup and needs: * Storage space: only \~25 inches of width beside my parked car in the garage, so the unit either needs to be ≤25" wide or fold/stand up compactly for storage. * Snow conditions: typical Ottawa snow — heavy wet snow at times, and especially the wet, compacted berm the city plow leaves at the front of the driveway. That berm is my main concern. * Driveway: small/short driveway (not huge) but I need something that can *bite into* wet/compacted snow and throw it a dece...

The Culture War Comes to the Kitchen 🎁

#How the politics of food brought together the crunchy left and the trad right. By Sophie Gilbert. Illustrations by Lucas Burtin, The Atlantic. Sometimes I think I became a mother not in a hospital room but in a Trader Joe’s in New York City. It was May 2020. A masked but smizing employee took one look at my stomach and handed me a packet of dark-chocolate peanut-butter cups. “Happy Mother’s Day!” she said. I was pregnant, with twins, during the early months of the pandemic, and all I could think about was food—what to eat and how to acquire it. Once a week I dashed clumsily through the store’s aisles, grabbing cans of beans and bags of apples while trying not to breathe, like a...

Functions for a SmartMirror

4h ago

Hey guys. Does anyone here try to do something with automation behind the smartmirror? Like... a function to add items on a groceries shop list, visually see the list on the screen, and when the times come and the list is done... submit the list to Walmart for example? Or any other store. I have been thinking in build an smartmirror... and I was thinking on that and other functions as well. I would probably use n8n for it. If anyone is interested let me know... more than glad to discuss possible solutions on it. PS: I didn't start yet... still researching. Thanks

What was your most unexpected find in a charity shop or thrift store?

4h ago

I've got two albums in my collection that I think are real gems from some local charity shops. The first is "Vespertine" by Björk. I'm a little surprised she's there, because UK charity shops usually have 90s boy bands, some classical music, and if you're really lucky, maybe an early Coldplay album! The next one is "Takk..." by Sigur Rós. When I saw this album, I honestly didn't think it was a CD at first. I actually thought it was an ancient hardback book or something. When I found out it was a Sigur Rós album, it totally shocked me! I've never listened to post-rock music before, and I definitely didn't expect to find one in a chari...

Student Living Costs in Germany

4h ago

Germany’s living costs are reasonable compared to other Western European countries, but you should still plan your budget carefully before arriving. The city you choose will make the biggest difference. Munich and Berlin are on the higher end, while cities like Fulda or Jena are much more affordable. # Typical Monthly Expenses for International Students Here’s what most students spend per month in Germany: * **Rent:** €300–€600 (shared flat), €500–€900 (studio apartment) * **Food:** €150–€250 * **Health insurance:** €120–€150 * **Transport:** typically included in semester fee * **Personal expenses:** depends on your lifestyle # Key Cost Categories Stud...

Looking for high-quality jackets in Nepal — genuine and durable, not cheap random imports

4h ago

I’m from Pokhara and I’m on the lookout for a good-quality jacket — something well-made and durable, not just cheap stuff imported from China or sold by random shops. I don’t care about major sportswear brands like Nike or Adidas; what matters to me is authenticity and build quality. In the past I shopped at stores like UFO, but recently their offerings seem just as random and low-quality as those shops I’m trying to avoid. I’m open to checking out recommended stores in Pokhara — but if there’s nothing good locally, I’m also okay with ordering online from a trusted shop in Kathmandu or elsewhere. If you know a store (or online shop) in Nepal selling real, well-crafted jac...

Carrying skis

4h ago

When I was shopping for the SC, I wondered about how to carry skis. Skis over 175 will not fit in the bed under the cover, even on a funky angle and lifted. 2 skis under 170 are possible crossed over but that is tight and the edges rub. Yes you can just have them stick up off the back but they slide side to side as you turn; my access roads are twisty and bumpy and rough. This is a harbormaster expanding load bar spanning the back with a single Yakima ski rack attached. This is lockable, holds 4, allows the use of the tailgate for sitting to put on boots, and keeps them in place and not sliding. I don’t know how best to store the rolling cover since i would rather have it mostly closed t...

Random Shop Exterior - Random Table to describe your shops from the outside

4h ago

There are few things more useful for me as a GM than random tables. Creating them for you made me rethink what actually makes them useful. I need just the right amount of detail to get inspiration to create unique story elements, yet not too much, so I can rely on improvisation to make everything feel different and flowing. Coming up with more ideas for my Random Shop Finder, I wanted something that can describe the shop from the characters’ perspective. And what do they see first? It’s the shop’s exterior. This is why I created this random table. | d20 | Exterior Feature | | --- | -----------------------------------------------------...
