1999 Suburban C1500, gas. Got a clunk every time I turned right, turns out one of the nuts for the upper control arm backed off and is gone. The bolt and two alignment plates were still there barely hanging on. It's the passenger side rear bolt. Anyone know if this is just a nut I can go find at a hardware store? I called around to a few parts stores and nobody has just the bolts. To clarify, I only am missing the nut. The "split bolt" and adjuster plates look undamaged. I was hired as an automotive technician. i’m a disabled veteran (they knew of this) and have dealt with bullshit my entire time here from being told to do something that’s not even my job. Been living in the same place for about ten years, and the idea of finally ripping up these old carpets keeps coming up every time I vacuum. I just noticed it during this season (winter). After a normal drive either to get groceries or do other shopping, I come back home, or sometimes even at the store parking lot. I park and shut off the engine, but when I walk past the car in front, it sounds like the engine is still on. But I went back and check the speedometer and tachometer (?) - that thing that shows the revs, everything is shut down. The noise stops eventually because later on I went back and it was gone, but I never actually stood there and waited for it to stop so I don't know how long it takes. What is it and does it mean anything is wrong?
