So I have a reasonably large (no not that large) birthday coming up and I wanted to treat myself to a reasonably nice watch to mark the occasion. I work around the corner from Watches of Switzerland on Regents Street. For those who don't know they are a massive store who sell watches for all the usual suspects from financially destabilising Tudor to marriage ending Patek Philippe. One thing that struck me though is the way the watches were presented made them all look like fakes. Weirdly shiny and with this uncanny valley vibe. Lol, what the title says. I have an open evening and I've been reading about homemade yogurt masks. I have fine hair obvs, 1c in the front, 2a in the back though sometimes it can become ringlets like 3a if I only shampoo. I am not sure what my porosity is because it feels somewhat rough when I go up the shaft but tiny water droplets don't immediately absorb into my hair. I don't have any color in my hair, and I don't do treatments of any kind. Could it be a good thing? So I have an event coming up in two weeks that is black tie optional (I’m receiving a professional award so I have to go). I’ll be 34/35 weeks at the time, and I need a formal dress! I was going to order a dress off of Amazon that I’ve ordered before and loved, just sized up, but the store says it is unavailable!! Any recommendations for high waisted dresses that would be bump friendly? For context, shopping in person is useless for me. My local charity shop sells Blu-Rays for £1 and DVD's at 10 for £1. I nabbed these today on a lunch break trip on a work from home day - so glad I went! This is related to aging parent, but more of an aggravation point with me. After having to rip every aspect of my life out and come live with aging parents to help mom take care of dad which apparently which we all know does not have a fixed end date. I'm working remotely from up here and after her bringing in other children (to take care of along with Dad). It just adds another layer of complication to things in regards to trying to accomplish simple tasks. Some examples: 1. Last month I had to get my car to a shop, I had to rent a car and take 3 ubers in order to make that happen, not to count how much time (at least 5 hours) of back and forth transferring vehicles and what not....
