So here were are already the end of a year later and I STILL have not got a single job offer. A friend of mine from childhood recently moved back to Germany and they agreed to drop a box of my zine off at some record stores or punk community spaces near where they live. They aren’t into hardcore at all so they have no idea where to go and I’m not finding any specific place online that sticks out as a great idea in Heidelberg. This might be a bit silly but after getting off the Brilliant Lady I'm worried VV may be thinking of getting rid of Squid Ink. When I went on my first VV cruise on Valiant last year I also received my first tattoos, a simple but permanent reminder of the trip. I bought a cheap electric scooter for commuting to work and saving on gas. It worked great for about three weeks before problems started. Now it’s in the shop more than I’m riding it and the repair costs are adding up to more than I saved on the purchase price. The battery doesn’t hold charge properly. The brakes are unreliable. The motor makes concerning noises. None of these problems are fixable cheaply because the components are low quality. I saved money upfront and I’m paying for it constantly in ongoing costs and unreliability. I can’t depend on it for commuting anymore which defeats the entire purpose of buying it.
