Hello all, The other day I had a mishap with my engagement ring. While I was vacuuming, I accidentally vacuumed my ring. I will be honest, I cried quite a bit. Now I am having mixed feelings. We got my ring from a pawn shop for a pretty low price, and after asking a jeweler for a quote to repair the ring they quoted more than I paid for the ring (not their fault I am sure). I think I mostly got the ring I did because of the price and because it was the prettiest one there and fit me almost perfectly. Don't be afraid to shop at small off chain dollar stores. Or smaller chained dollar stores. I have a dollar store chain here in NJ called Dollar Zone. I just picked up 1,000 paper clips for $2.00 compared to Dollar Tree's 70 paper clips for $1.50. Dollar Tree is getting ridiculous for stuff. Inflation of prices while shrinking the quantity (and quality). Paper clips with ridges break easily because the company already made the ridges half-way through the metal. That's like breaking a burrito almost in half and calling it great quality.... when you go to use it or eat it, it just falls apart. You wasted your money for absolute garbage.

It’s getting harder to buy CDs. I ordered the FAMOUS 1975 CD through Amazon, and it came from a little shop in Pittsburgh, PA called Book and Mortar Record Store. Shouldn’t we keep a strategic reserve of all our important stuff?? Pretty soon our popular culture will only be available from trendy boutiques in Tokyo.
