Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Aldi Store Latest Community Store Discussions2 Months, $190/mo, 3.4k Downloads: Why I chose One-Time Purchase over Subscriptions for my new app.1h agoHi everyone, I’m an indie dev. I currently run another utility app that generates about **$300 MRR** using a classic subscription model. I know recurring revenue is usually the way to go. But 2 months ago, I launched a new project, Scoring (iOS), and I decided to take a different route. Here is the breakdown of why, the execution, and the early data. It started so simply. I was playing **Skyjo** with my friends. As the rounds went on, counting scores on paper became a hassle (especially with negative points). Naturally, I checked the App Store for a scorekeeper. The results were very frustrating: * App A wanted a **$2 monthly sub** just to add a 3rd player or take notes. * App B... Never really needed a battle pass. Is this just how it is now?1h agoBit of a rant I guess, since I have no good solutions. I've lived in downtown Oshawa for many years. It's always been a bit rough, but for a long time it was a great community to work, live and enjoy. There was a variety of restaurants and bars, shops andfriendly faces on the street. It wasn't perfect, and has always been a bit shady at night, but I remember walking around late at night as a young female, and the only people who ever harassed me were gross cabbies driving around. We were always told, just wait - once those condos get built it will be better. Once more people move in to the community, things will change. For years, we residents have been told this. This n... Found this FuRyu Monokuma in a Norwegian thrift store! Is it rare? 🐻❄️🇳🇴1h agoI recently found this FuRyu Walking & Talking Monokuma at a local second-hand shop here in Norway. It was a total surprise to see Danganronpa merch in the wild like this! Here’s what’s interesting about it: Arcade Heritage: I found out these were originally exclusive prize items for FuRyu UFO catchers in Japan. You couldn't just buy them in a retail store, which makes finding one in Europe even weirder. The Condition: The walking mechanism still works perfectly (he has that iconic creepy waddle!), but unfortunately, the voice box doesn't seem to talk anymore. Vintage Batteries: Fun fact — it still has the original batteries that were specifically made/included for... Sales Experience, Judging when on the other side!?!1h agoAs a sales professional, I am shocked at my experience this month. My wife and I are starting a journey of riding motorcycles, so we are getting our motorcycle licenses and beginning to shop (Sales potential: 2 sales instead of 1). We are in our late 40s, live in upper middle class suburban area, and either pay cash or finance with an 800+ credit score, so I would assume we are ideal buyers. However, I am shocked by the lack of attention, follow-up, and engagement from salespeople. Half of them just want to text me instead of calling me, and then disappear right in the middle of setting up the close. They rarely ask about our 'why,' discuss the value of their dealership/brand, or ... Weird safari message, could my pc be infected?1h agoHello, I use macOS and private relay and adguard. I was shopping on one website (legit, used to buy stuff here) and while browsing, I randomly got warning about safari private relay not being able to hide my ip and I can continue using my real ip. I did not continue. Weird thing is, website name changed to: " we-have-registered-a-login-attack-from-your-ip-address-please-contact-our-support" No .com, .net, .xyz, ... No http/s. I contacted that website and they wrote that their web works fine and my pc can be infected? I do not use illegal software, only App Store download, ... I tried to turn private relay off and on, but problem still persisted. After few minutes, it worked fine ... Please don’t pick orders you can’t fulfill on your own.1h agoPlease stop coming into shops and then shoving the phone into the store employees face and make them pick your order. It’s your job to pick the items for the order. You chose the order so don’t be angry and annoyed when employees aren’t happy about your behavior. It’s rude. You are getting paid to do the order and we are getting paid to help if you truly can’t find something at most. It is not on the store to shop for you while you stand there doing nothing. If you don’t want to do the order don’t take the order. You have a chose of what you take. When a customer walks in we can’t just look at someone and say no I don’t feel like helping them, decline the sale. If you ask f... Choosing boot is too hard1h agoHey fellow booters! First time poster here, expect a typical "help me choose my first pair" kind of post. I've been reading through this and other subreddits for weeks and here I am. **Tl;dr** Sorry for being so verbose * Looking for good leather boots available in Europe * Casual style, all rounders * Apparently I have crazy wide feet?? * I have no clue how to tell which boot will fit me. **Context/background** I've been wearing a pair of Timberland "Earthkeeper" for the past 6 years. No clue how they managed to live that long, but they are completely falling apart. Outsole is basically no outsole and the leather is pierced in multiple places. Those wer... How we achieved record-low acquisition costs in India’s most competitive niche by ignoring "Looks"1h agoHey Founders, Dating apps in India seems to be a graveyard of Tinder clones. I’ve spent the last few months building Anchor, and I’ve realized that if you build for "looks," you’ve already lost. Most founders focus on the UI/UX. I focused on the psychology of the "Left-behind" 90%. The Data Reality Check: * **The 8% Problem**: On traditional apps, only \~8% of men get 80% of the matches. The rest are just "ad-viewing cattle" for the platform. * **The Safety Tax**: Women in India spend more time "vetting" and "filtering" than actually dating because profiles are low-effort. * **The Burnout:** Ghosting isn't a personality trait;... Jigsaw St Louis Speed Dating Part 4: I want to play a game (last one I promise)1h agoFor those of you that have been following along my ridiculous, and expensive, journey through the jigsaw dating underworld I wanted to give one final update. \*previously on u/SupaButt’s posts\* : I paid $30 and went to a Jigsaw speed dating event, had fun, left thinking we would get to match in the app later, found out you had to match in person or pay a $50 membership to chat with people on the app, I refused and just bought a ticket to another event instead for $30, then I changed my mind and paid $50 for the membership because I wanted to talk to some of the women I met previously, I messaged them and never heard back and the one woman I really wanted to connect with disappeared fr... Missing items that were not in receipt.1h agoIf items were missing but not on receipt, as in left behind in store without customer paying for them, should/ do they count as missing items? RH store and food hub may bring Walnut Creek dramatic changes and jobs1h agoA proposed retail, food, wine, art, and design hub in Walnut Creek is expected to significantly impact the local economy and create over 100 jobs. The project, which is being considered for multiple vacant sites in downtown Walnut Creek, aims to revitalize the area and attract both residents and visitors. The development is envisioned to combine various elements, including a retail store and a food market, thereby enhancing the shopping and dining experience in the city. The initiative is part of a broader effort to stimulate economic growth in Walnut Creek, which has experienced challenges with vacant storefronts in its downtown area. Local officials are optimistic that the new hub will bo... Looking for a Personal Shopper (USA / UK) – Nike Running & Under Armour (local stores + outlets)1h agoHi, I am looking for a reliable personal shopper based in the USA or the UK. I need someone who can go directly to physical stores and purchase brand new Nike Running and Under Armour items with tags and original receipt. I am not only looking for big chains like Nike Store, Foot Locker or JD Sports, but also local sports shops, independent stores, factory outlets, and local retailers such as Taskers Sports (UK) or similar stores where good deals or rare pieces can be found. Authentic items only. No replicas. What I expect: \- In-store purchases \- Searching in multiple locations (major chains + local shops/outlets) \- Photos before payment \- Receipt proof \- International shippin... They sold MLP stuff at my local store1h agoWent to Eco Shop (store in Malaysia) when I saw these My Little Pony stuff on shelf. Poor Applejack still being left out in photo 1. where to buy milk close to their srp?1h agoHi 👋🏻 I’m not sure if this has been asked here before, but I just wanted to ask where you usually buy milk around SRP, especially when it’s not accessible in your area or when your usual grocery store is out of stock. I’ve been trying to restock some like Oatly Barista, Bonsoy, and similar brands, but they’ve been harder to find lately. I’ve also checked the orange app, but the prices there are almost 2x higher huhu 🥲 If you know any physical stores, suppliers (?)or even online shops that sell them closer to SRP or at more reasonable prices, I would really appreciate your recommendations hehe. Thank you so much in advance! 💚 ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
