Navigating German supermarkets with dietary restrictions/IBS is a nightmare, so I coded a little scanner for myself. ...

Hello everyone! 👋 I'm originally from Belgium but have been living in Germany for 7 years now. As a fellow expat, I know firsthand how much of a struggle it is to grocery shop here if you have dietary restrictions (IBS, SIBO, or just sensitive digestion). Standing in the aisle at REWE or Aldi trying to Google Translate complex German ingredient lists ("Zutaten") to figure out if something has hidden dairy, weird sweeteners, or specific triggers is exhausting. So, I finally got frustrated enough to use my tech background and code a little scanner on my phone. You just scan the German barcode, and it instantly translates the ingredients in the background and flags any hidd...

Where to buy powder ski's in Solden?

3h ago

Most of the stores in solden only seem to have the classic ski racing brands such as Volkl, Head, Atomic. I'm looking more for a Faction or Black Crows kinda ski. Any shops that offer those? Thanks!

How far do you need to play the story before the rest of the world fleshes out?

3h ago

I'm about 30 hours into the game and I've been taking my time. I'm about to enter Scholastone in the story. what I'm finding is that there's so many locations where there's just nothing to do. I haven't left Hernand, so this isn't about jumping ahead to areas I'm meant to see later. I go down a road and find towns, workshops, castles, and ruins, and about half the time there's nothing there, no interactable NPC's, no shops besides street vendors, nothing of interest. There's a million people in this world but they act as set dressing. I've also been made aware of a bunch of mechanics that I haven't really been able to in...

Question for employees

3h ago

I have a chronic pain condition which makes me really sensitive to digital audio including music, especially at loud volumes and especially anything with high pitched vocals often found in pop music. I’d love to shop at tjmax/ homegoods but the music in there makes it impossible. Would a store be okay with turning it off for an hour or so if I asked to browse? Especially if I came in early in the morning?

Has anyone tried a Youfs scooter before?

3h ago

Last weekend my brother wanted a new scooter for fun rides around the neighborhood. We went to a few local stores but they only had a few scooters and most were small or very expensive. He looked a little disappointed because he wanted something fast and cool. Then I checked online. Websites like Alibaba and other marketplaces had so many scooters. There were small ones for kids big ones for teenagers and even adult scooters. Some were colorful some were plain and some had cool lights. Prices were different too. Some were cheap and simple and some were more expensive but looked strong and safe. I liked that we could pick the exact size and color he wanted. We ordered a Youfs scooter online...

Rough week for the US stock market...

The US stock market has officially erased $4.5 trillion in value since the February 28th onset of the Iran War. What do you think, more red to come? Or is this a dip to buy?

If They Live, Then We Suffer.

My name is Mylo, Mylo Robinson. I’m writing this down to tell stories to people about this place when I leave to another town when I’m older or post online. And also kind of like a personal journal. But I do intend to publish this one day I have many thoughts on my life in this ****** town, mostly due to those things. The Tulpores. That’s what they get called. How they make basic things hard. Especially “The Hound Of Fairview” the one everyone fears. If you see it odds are you’re dead. Despite this, I like trying to figure out stuff about the Tulpores through others' experiences with them. Perhaps I can discover certain patterns or traits of certain ones that could be useful...

What are some good wedding souvenir ideas for guests ?

3h ago

Last month my cousin told me she is getting married . She asked me for ideas for souvenirs for the guests . I wanted something small and cute but also useful . I went to a few local shops but most things were boring or too expensive . Some items were tiny and felt cheap and some were big but heavy . Then I checked online . Websites like Alibaba and other marketplaces had so many options . There were small candles little keychains pretty mini photo frames and even tiny plants . Some were simple and cheap and some were fancier with nice designs . I liked that I could see many colors shapes and styles all in one place . Some souvenirs came in sets and some were customizable with names or dates ...

Transforming In-Store Retail With Avvenire Smart Cart

Customers move through aisles without guidance, checkout happens at a single endpoint, and most decisions depend on effort rather than support. This structure works, but it creates friction at every step. As expectations shift toward faster and more seamless experiences, there is a clear need for a smarter approach inside the store. The Avvenire Smart Cart introduces a connected system that brings intelligence directly into the shopping journey. Learn more: [https://avveniretech.com](https://avven...

Building a gamified social app that requires people to actually go outside. Am I crazy? (The cold start problem is real)...

3h ago

I’ve been building **RedHatch**, an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) and social network. The core concept is basically taking the real-world mapping of *Pokémon GO* and mixing it with hyper-local social networking. Instead of scrolling a feed from your couch, you interact with the "parallel universe" layered over your actual city. # 💡 The Mechanics * **Real-World Real Estate:** Users can claim physical locations (like a local coffee shop or park) as their virtual property or "club" in the app. * **QR Code Integration:** I’m experimenting with physical QR codes at local businesses. You scan them IRL to earn XP and virtual coins. * **Hyper-Local Chat:** A "Super...

Should I give up IAT?

3h ago

First of all, I had IAT in my mind way before giving JEE Mains, so don't assume am here because of not cracking jee. I had thought of IAT at the very start of my drop year itself. As I really liked learning about fundamental reality of everything. I used to spend hours and days trying to find out what an electron really is and what an atom really looks like. But it's been more than a year, my interest in all that has not perished but I see the bigger picture now too. I have always thought of persuing either Engineering or Research because both of these are related to science and technology. But a lot of things went wrong and i couldn't perform well in JEE Main. Even in April...

Is your local game store also always sold out of product?

3h ago

As i dont know how the situation is world wide, I would mostly refer to my experience to my LGS in Germany. My LGS is a premium(?) store, which is allowed to sell all product from prerelease date on. Shop owner also refuses to sell to obvious scalpers. but… he is kinda out of product all the time. Currently some duskmoon, aetherdrift boosters and some more spiderman is still in stock. Now also TMNT, but nothing else from play boosters or jumpstart boosters is left (beside some collector boosters, but i do not count them into regular booster products). i thought foundations should be still available? or just any other recent set? i see people being in stores fully packed with product, wh...

Slightly desperate smoker

3h ago

It seems like everyone in Point Breeze smokes cigarettes but I can’t find a store that actually sells them for the life of me. So far all the corner stores I’ve been to don’t have them and the closest actual smoke shop is a mile away. What is the secret? Other than not smoking, I’m a week nicotine free as of today but just locked myself out of my house and my car won’t start so I feel a cig is deserved lol

Review: Goy Artois MM black/tan from Griffin

3h ago

Sharing my experience with Griffin after picking up the Artois MM in black/tan, and this one honestly exceeded expectations. I originally ordered the black/black version from Afen factory via another seller, but quickly realized I should’ve gotten the black/tan version instead. After seeing consistently strong feedback on Griffin for GOY, I decided to try him out.
