His iridescent head and neck feathers coruscating in the sunlight, his black-barred wings pumping steadily, the bird was a majestic sight to be certain, observed by none save a theoretical deity. Behind his blood orange eyes, confusion held sway over a rudimentary brain. Something was interfering with the neurons, sending the bird’s magnetoreception askew. No longer could the pigeon sense Earth’s magnetic field, the invisible map of magnetic materials and electrical currents by which he navigated. Consequently, he found himself traveling ever deeper into unknown territo... I’m on the downtown strip of my city and the winter has been **** trying to keep up cleaning with all the salt that keeps getting tracked it with foot traffic. I was using a small shop vac but that’s been killing my back and is brutal to plug and unplug over and over again to reach certain spaces. The space is MOSLTY hard wood, with some minor rugs here and there. Would love some advice on a solid option, likely between $200-500 that I can invest in. My moms a die hard Dyson fan but the price point just seems ridiculous and have only ever heard bad things about them from other people Thanks in advance! I know these types of sweaters have quite a following so to see it discounted to that level for a desirable size, I thought I’d pass it along. Crunchy, poorly watered nepenthes help?3h agoI visited a little plant shop I like yesterday and saw they had some assorted carnivores in stock. None of them looked especially wonderful, so I asked what they'd been watering with. The water they use for the rest of the plants (I think they have some sort of filter, but I live in central Florida. You can almost cut the water here with a knife) and when the plants started to look off, they switched to the filtered water they keep on hand for employees to drink. I probably shouldn't have, but I grabbed three of them to bring home with me. I pulled the old substrate off (one was in a plug with some sphagnum around it, the other two in what I'm guessing was straight peat?)... I built an app that helps you use your coupons and deals before they expire, it saved me $1,3003h agoHave you ever found expired coupons in your home or device and wished you had used them? Two years ago I created a prototype to keep my coupons in one place. That little side project ended up saving me more than $1,300, so I turned it into a full‑fledged app. Before [Coupon Cue](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/coupon-cue-reminder-savings/id6755681425), my coupons and promo codes were scattered across drawers, emails, spreadsheets, photos, and the notes apps with many going expired and unused. [**Coupon Cue**](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/coupon-cue-reminder-savings/id6755681425) is a lightweight app for storing coupons and reminding you about your deals. It allows you to: * Scan paper ... Let's revisit 2005! Part One3h agoI posted a few random pages from this catalog at the start of my revisit series, but wanted to post it page-by-page like I have with the others! The holiday catalogs were the ones I looked forward to receiving the most: the beautiful, whimsy photos always stood out to me and are definitely the most memorable for me. 🥹 Thank you SO much to everyone who has engaged with all of my posts and as always, I can't wait to hear your stories and memories! 💕🫶 I locked myself in my apartment for 60 days and finally fixed my life3h agoI hadn’t left my apartment for anything except work and groceries in over a year. Every weekend was the same. Friday night I’d tell myself I’d do something productive. Saturday morning I’d wake up late, scroll my phone for an hour, make coffee, sit on my couch, watch YouTube, order food, play games, scroll more, go to bed. Sunday was identical. Repeat for 52 weeks straight. My apartment became my entire world. Work from home, entertainment at home, food delivered to home. I had zero reason to leave and every excuse not to. It was comfortable. It was easy. It was killing me slowly. I’m 24. For the past two years since graduating college I’d been living like this. Wake up, work,... Your best tips for a day in Lyon3h agoHello! I'm going to spend a day in Lyon next week and I would love to ask you some recommendations about the best places to get to know the city. I would love to visit friperies (I love vintage shopping), bookshops, perfume stores, have lunch in a nice bouchon, and discover some hidden gems in Lyon. Klarna Referral3h agoHave you tried Klarna? This is my first time shopping for women’s clothing, so I genuinely don’t know what to look for. I’m based in Gurgaon. If any women here are willing to give advice on fabric, colour, patterns or recommended stores. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Too much for a Weekend in Tokyo?4h agoI have a work trip to Japan in two weeks. I have about 10 days in the country, including a weekend, which I arranged to take as personal days. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get out of Tokyo since I have meetings there all week and I’d like to make the most out of my weekend. This is my first trip to Japan. I like Japanese pop culture - my wife, kids and I are big video game in anime fans. I also enjoy Japanese history. But I am completely illiterate and speak no Japanese. The first half of my week will likely be a struggle not to embarrass myself in front of our hosts. I believe I will be staying down near the Roppongi area which I think is close to Tokyo Bay? Based on some initi... Any tips for finding real discounts when shopping online?4h agoI’ve been trying to be more mindful about saving money when shopping online, especially for things I already planned to buy. Most of the time I check deal subreddits or search for coupon codes, but honestly it’s hit or miss. A lot of codes don’t work anymore, and some sites feel cluttered or unreliable. Recently, while looking for a discount before checking out, I came across PromoCodie. I wasn’t expecting much, but I actually found a working deal without having to sign up or jump through extra steps. It wasn’t a huge discount, but even small savings feel worth it. I’m curious how others approach this. Do you usually rely on coupon websites, wait for big sales, or just compare ... Looking for a commercial space sa Mandaluyong na abot kaya ang presyo4h agoHello!
