Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the WinCo Foods Store Latest Community Discussions About WinCo Foods StoresGuys, what should I eat for my last calorie?20h agoCan we all get together and request a WinCo store to ABQ?1d agoFor those who don't know, WinCo is a warehouse-style store like Costco that buys directly from manufacturers and farmers with little frills. They dont let you pay with a credit card but they will with a Debit Card or Cash. They offer a lot of bulk food options like Costco and I used to live around one where you could buy relatively cheap food and other things with a TON of options. They also treat their employees very well and is majorly employee-owned! I never know what to look for; which NY Strip would you buy?3d agoSaw these at the store and had an impulse purchase moment. But like I said: I don't really know what I'm looking for in a NY Strip. Finally SPUMONI!4d agoWinco for the win! My favorite ice cream is spumoni but it’s difficult to find in the PNW except during the holiday season (sometimes you can find it at pizza places or Italian restaurants) and Fred Meyer had it advertised but the two stores that I visited were sold out. Years ago you could find it, it was a pretty popular flavor but apparently only us boomers like it. A couple of years ago while visiting Victoria in December, a candy shop offered spumoni by the scoop: I didn’t care that it was freezing outside…I had my favorite ice cream for the first time in years while walking back to my room at the Empress! I have written to Tillamook, Safeway, and Fred Meyer asking them WHY t... Canned food10d agoA variety of canned goods. Some are a few months past the best by date, but they are still good! New winco brand creamer! Anyone else notice? Or have I been living under a rock. It tastes great!17d agoExtra roasted?17d agoHey all! I just found this sub and am trying to find recommendations for extra roasted sunflower seeds. I used to inhale David's but they are just too salty for me. Many years ago I discovered that Winco Foods had some really good ones in their bulk bins but they must have changed suppliers, because the seeds changed and tasted like David's- super salty. Since then, I've tried Gerbs, which were okay but not my favorite. Then I found Wild Dutchman seeds which have been fantastic for years, but lately it seems like they just aren't roasting them as long anymore. I'm not a big fan of larger seeds- I guess because they never seem to be roasted enough for me. Spiffy fla... Cat not a fan of the winco foods ornament18d agoI’ve tried both of these side by side and really can’t tell much of a difference in taste or texture. It’s just th...23d agoI’ve had the big bags from Costco as well, which are like $5/24oz I think. I truly can’t tell any discernible difference and was wondering if anyone here has a store bought favorite. Making them at home is just a simple seasoned flour dredge then fry, but that’s also time consuming. Thoughts? Salted caramel apple cake (first time baking in a year!)28d agoI finally had a day off and was feeling in the mood to bake for the first time in a while, so here is my salted caramel apple cake! It has cream cheese frosting, salted caramel drizzle, and the filling is like apple pie! It was sooooo good and I’m very proud of myself. Recipe is the Salted Caramel Apple Crumble Cake from delish.com (https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a44902380/salted-caramel-apple-crumble-cake-recipe) One of the milk cartons in this case has a yellow cap instead of a white one38d agoI designed and screenprinted some WinCo shirts to give to my friends39d agoWinCo Sparkling Water is pretty great! And **** cheap.42d agoMostly stick to Polar Lime these days, but saw these at WinCo, $3 for a 12 pack (can't remember) is unbeatable! Has a pretty good bite and carbonation, the cranberry flavor really shines through. Might have to start stocking up on WinCo Sparkling water soon. Altered Charro Beans44d agoExtra ingredients but still basic Pantry rotation & clean out44d agoCrockpot chili— I’m happy to throw this (with seasoned hamburger) in the crockpot and eat for a couple of days. I’ll freeze the leftovers for another time. Tonight we’ll eat it with cheese & chips on top. Tomorrow we’ll have loaded baked potatoes w/chili & cheese, sour cream, & onions. I'm not a meat expert by any means. But is this actually ribeye?44d agoBecause it could be, but it does not look like ribeye to which I am accustomed. Helpful Food information to last a long time during these times.44d agoHey Humboldt, I'm sure you guys know all this information, but in the case that someone out there doesn't; I'd like to help. At Winco Foods the bulk bins are full of really good dried good that can last a good long time. Beans, Chickpeas, Lentils, pasta, different types of flours, cornstarch, chicken bulliuon, different types of rice, oats, TVP (Textured vegetable protein), sugar, baking powder, baking soda, hecka seasonings like garlic powder, onion powder, salt, etc, and other things that I can't think of at the moment. 1 cup (8oz) of the dry beans, chickpeas, lentils, and rice makes about 3 cups (24oz) when cooked; more than what is in the canned ones. You can soak...
