Pharmacy issues with Adderall

23h ago

Hi! This is my first Reddit post, and I just want to know if anyone has been through something like this because I feel like I’m losing my mind. This is my first controlled medication ever, and I’ve never dealt with anything like this. I’m 25. I saw a psychiatrist for the first time on 11/5, got diagnosed with ADHD, and was prescribed 20mg Adderall once a day. She told me to start with 10mg in the morning and 10mg in the afternoon, then switch to the full 20mg in the morning if needed, which worked better for me. I’ve gone to the same Walgreens my entire life and usually dealt with the same pharmacist. When I picked up that first script, her attitude completely changed. She lecture...

Best pharmacies in shreveport-bossier area?

7d ago

I’ve had all kinds of problems with the walgreens on greenwood and jewella, they NEVER have my prescriptions in stock (i am on adderall, a schedule 1 drug, and i understand the DEA is very strict about those but even other less “controlled substances like prednisone, fluconazole, etc shouldn’t take 2-3 weeks) and when they do i have to wait in line at least 45 mins no matter what time i go. I transferred all my prescriptions to the walgreens in brookeshire’s on bert kouns and they are slightly better but i’m going on 2 weeks without any refills. I’m not a shreveport native (only lived here for a year or so) and i don’t know any good pharmacies around here but this is starting ...

Partial Refill of medication question

7d ago

My psychiatrist has skin cancer and just had an operation to have it removed, and because of that she has understandably been less on top of things than usual. I’m prescribed 60 pills a month. We are supposed to meet on December 3rd for our yearly in person appointment. She forgot to send a prescription for this month, she usually sends it in sets of three with one to be released each month. There were only two though, so i called and they sent a prescription for this month. But the fill was only 15 pills to be taken twice daily. I was confused so i called the office just to make sure we would still be able to fill the remainder of the months prescription after our in person meeting since ...

AIO or Should I Quit?

9d ago

So for context I have been working at my store for about a year now. I’m still a trainee so I haven’t gotten my actual liscense yet. However, I am a full-time college student. So I’ve only either been able to work weekends since my class schedule has just happened to be 5 days every semester. My pharmacy is also closed on Sundays as we apparently don’t get that many people coming in. So the only day I’ve really worked is Saturdays, and during my first semester I also worked Mondays and Wednesdays. Because I am barely able to go in to work it has taken me so long to figure out the whole system and how to do things/work things and I would say I’m still in the process of learning ev...

Where are you getting Rhapsido?

9d ago

My fiance was prescribed Rhapsido for her MCAS and was given two one-month samples. Insurance approved it almost immediately but Walgreens called and said they are unable to order it and transferred the prescription to Ingles. Ingles called this morning and said they were also unable to order it and transferred it to CVS. CVS just called me to tell me that they’re unable to order it, also. I called Novartis and told them that no pharmacy in my area is able to acquire their drug and they told me that it shouldn’t be an issue and gave me a number to give to the pharmacies, but all of those pharmacies refused to even call it. I know it’s brand new and probably not in most vendors’ stoc...

Ethical question for pharm staff - what would you do if you knew a tech was stealing pills from a friend (but not necess...

10d ago

So… here’s an issue that I’m unfortunately going through at the moment. I left the mental health field a little while back and started in Pharm as a tech. I love it, it’s been great. As it happens, my roommate was jobless and decided to give it a go as well. It’s been great having someone to rant to, honestly. She works for the same company as me (Walgreens lol), but at a different location. That was, until I noticed something odd… my meds are going missing. To be clear, I have absolutely no evidence or reason to think she’s stealing from her pharmacy. But *my* meds are being stolen by a pharmacy tech. So far I’ve tracked that she’s stolen from me: 2 Percocets, 2 hydro...

New "nationwide" regulation in effect, per my CVS - anyone else experiencing this?

12d ago

Okay. Not sure what's going on. I was due to get my Vyvanse Rx filled today or tomorrow - it's one day early today. They rarely have ever done the 'two-day early' fills for me, but I've been fine with it. I've picked up one day early, or the day of, or a day after for some months. CVS texted me this morning to call them about my Rx, so I did. Had a poor convo with a really rude woman right off the bat (not my usual experience w/my local CVS) who said the pharmacist told her to relay that I was not allowed to fill my Rx for 7 more days. She didn't explain why, just tried to end the conversation, so I requested to speak w/pharmacist (who was much nicer). \*I...

New to Part D Rx plans

13d ago

Hoping for advice between two Part D Rx Plans for 2026. The first is HealthSpring Assurance Rx with a $35.70 monthly premium, $398.48 pharmacy, for a total drug + premium cost of $826.88 (I wont meet my $615 deductible with Walgreen but the Rx monthly costs is $26.34. This is the cheapest plan and I certainly like it for the costs. The other plan is Wellcare Value Script with a $42.40 monthly premium, $766.83 pharmacy with a total drug + premium of $1,222.12 (also a $615 deductible). My concern is HeallthSpring, I never heard of them other than they were acquired by Cigna. Does an inexpensive plan like this raise any red flags? Also, would going with a higher price plan like Wellcare (...

Just got hired as Pharmacy Tech

15d ago

I just got hired as a pharmacy tech/apprenticeship at a Walgreens and I’m excited. They’re starting me off at $18/hr because I am not certified. I am nervous though because I have not had such a serious job. The pharmacist seems kind and helpful and the store manager who sat in on the interview seems cool and like she’ll be a great resource. This is how I was hired tho: I applied on Wednesday, Friday at 11:30 I got a called asking if I could come in that day for an interview, I was offered a full time position before I left and I passed my drug test and background check on Monday. Should I be worried by the quick turnaround or maybe I was just an ideal candidate? Can you guys give m...

What do you call CVS/Walgreens?

17d ago

Canadian here, and I’m wondering what y’all call that genre of store. From my understanding, they’re what we would call a “drugstore” here but it dawned on me that I never really hear Americans use that term. Our big ones are Shoppers, London Drugs, Rexall, and Pharmasave and they are essentially midsize retail stores primarily consisting of pharmacy and cosmetics, as well as some gifts, groceries, and electronics. The only context I’ve heard Americans say “drugstore” is in reference to makeup (“drugstore makeup brands” - Maybelline, covergirl etc). Additionally, do you guys have grocery chains with these built-in, aside from Walmart supercentres and Costco? We have supe...

Pharmacy that isn’t terrible?

24d ago

Looking for pharmacy recommendations in Seattle that would be in-network for insurance companies, but not terrible. The Walgreens and CVS I’ve been to are varying degrees of PIA. I loved Bartell Drugs but sadly they are gone now. TIA!

Feels like I'm out of options after exposure...

31d ago

I used an online telehealth provider (Call-on-Doc) for a PEP prescription after a potential exposure. The provider prescribed **Truvada + Tivicay (dolutegravir)**. The prescriptions were accepted by my insurance (Tricare) and sent to my local Walgreens. Problem: Walgreens was closed today (Sunday), and when checking the app, Tivicay shows as **out of stock**. I called several nearby in-network pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS, others), and each said Tivicay isn’t stocked and is considered a *specialty medication*. Some mentioned it would have to come from a regional or specialty fulfillment center and could take several days for "pre-approval." That timeline defeats the purpose of PE...

SAMBA for GLP1s. Thoughts on this?

31d ago

Anyone else look into SAMBA? Or anyone have it for 2025? No one ever mentions them and I’m curious why not? I am looking at SAMBA Standard now since they have ExpressScripts for their PBM, I want to go back on Zepbound and avoid Caremark. The SAMBA 2026 formulary list that they released has Zepbound pens on it. 2026 Express Scripts National Preferred Formulary The plan has the Omada health app requirements but the NALC High plan I was on before also required these ****** check ins as well. SAMBA Health Benefit Plan For preferred Brand, which the 2026 formulary shows Zepbound Pen as, it should be $150 for a 30 day before the coupon or $300 for 90 days with Standard. Also looks like you...

Hadn't seen something like this before when doing reviews for another store. Any idea why they are doing this?
