EverHint - Stock Market News — March 9, 2026 — Breaking Developments

## Executive Summary Wall Street extended losses with all major indices dropping over 1% as oil prices surged above $100 per barrel amid intensifying Middle East conflict, reigniting inflation fears just as markets had begun pricing in potential Fed rate cuts. The oil shock rippled globally with South Korea's KOSPI plunging 5.96%, Japan's Nikkei tumbling 5.24%, and European markets hitting two-month lows. Despite the macro turmoil, significant corporate developments emerged: Hims & Hers shares rocketed 50% on news that Novo Nordisk will sell Wegovy and Ozempic through its telehealth platform, Live Nation reached an antitrust settlement with the DOJ avoiding Ticketmaster di...

Medications Question

17d ago

I have been diagnosed epileptic since 2013, when I first started seizing I was prescribed tegratol, more recently like 2016 and on I’ve been on depakote and Keppra. There was a time my medical device was low battery and needed to be replaced they gave me Xcorpri. My question here is do you feel like your doctor does a good job explaining your medications to you? The doctor who prescribed me Xcorpri failed to mention it was a controlled substance by the DEA meaning that when the two week sample pack ran out, I couldn’t get a refill because the pharmacy didn’t have any in stock they have to special order every script. Also couldn’t tell me what pharmacy didn’t have them in stock...

My Seat and Tray Table Are Not in Their Upright and Locked Positions

Had to repost. There was a typo in the title. Added some stuff. I got to send the below to my doctor who rushed in to intercede. To get me anticoma medicine (I made a post the other day about this, maybe Monday? I don’t remember). I don’t know when this happened, you know, when he sent a message to me that he’d sent in the script. It was probably Monday. But I responded with this earlier in the evening. I tried to fix typos and stuff, but there’s one whole section that’s ****** and I can’t do a **** thing about it right no Had to repost. There was a typo in the title. **My concern is I am a patient receiving a controlled substance and now my account is associated with two people with drug related charges. I am concerned about the DEA. I am disabled. I cannot sue and win money without losing Medicaid and dying. My caregiver was not next to me when I gave that information as her caregiving duties do not involve medication. Only helping with housework and transportation since I can’t keep up with those things due to my medical conditions.** Location: Illinois On Friday my caregiver (who I don't know well, she's assigned through an agency) and I go to Walgreen's. I go. Ask about my medication. There's weird confusion but they don'...

Why do pharmacies feel the need to print a "Rob Me" map on every bottle?

20d ago

Why do pharmacies feel the need to print a "Rob Me" map on every bottle? Is it just me, or is it incredibly reckless that every prescription label includes your full name, medication name, AND home address? If you’re picking up a controlled substance or an expensive medication, you’re essentially carrying a bottle that tells any bad actor exactly what you have and where you live if they see the label or find it in the trash. I’m tired of having to soak bottles in water or spend 10 minutes peeling off plastic-coated labels just to protect my privacy. Why the **** isn't there a more secure standard for this yet? Walgreens near me even uses plastic labels which are hard...

Newly switched to elite generic. So far so good!

22d ago

Hey all! So for the past year since I could no longer get Adderall delivered to my house, I had been going to Walgreens. According to my prescription history, I was getting manufacturers like Mallickrodt, camber and Granules from them and I definitely had not been feeling like the drugs were effective (or seemed to make me feel worse). That's part of what led me to this subreddit. I reported all this to my psychiatrist last week. He told me that he had not yet heard of any other patient complained about the generics not working, so he suggested seeing if we try switching to another pharmacy to see if they contract with different manufacturers for me to try. I figured I had nothing to ...

Pharmacy ****

24d ago

I just had to vent about the absolute nightmare getting my medication has been. I’m a college student that was formally diagnosed with ADHD (after suspecting it for a while) around August-September, and getting my medications has been divine punishment almost every time. First time picking up my medications: \- 3 different Publix pharmacies, 1 Costco, 6 Walgreens, and 4 CVS: out of stock I had called most of these after the first few pharmacies my psychiatrist sent my medication to informed me they were out of stock. I figured it would be more efficient to go down the list and check myself rather than bothering my psychiatrist every couple of hours. I was then informed after a few calls...

Stressing out. Need to be certified by June 30th or kicked out even though hired last August.

25d ago

Hey guys, not gonna lie here I'm really stressing out because my market management cut down the amount of time I have to be certified or finished with PTU. Only problem with that is, I'm only 7% complete through PTU because it counts against my pharmacy hours and I can't really work on it in the pharmacy because we're busy constantly and I have to keep leaving the computer. We took on 3+ pharmacies worth of customers because 2 rite aids and a walgreens closed. Pretty sure a mom and pop shop did too. I just barely learned how to do Inputting and Fill. I have no idea how to do calculations or what any of the drugs are. So naturally I'm pushing to get PTCB certified bu...

Winners retail

26d ago

The \*\*10 forces\*\* you shared are reshaping retail in 2026, and several publicly traded companies stand out as well-positioned to benefit (or already are). These aren't "sure things"—markets are volatile, and no investment is guaranteed—but based on current analyst views, industry reports, and trend alignments (e.g., GLP-1 reshaping baskets toward protein/nutrient-dense items, agentic AI driving personalization, retail media growth, health hubs in pharmacies, and premium clean/transparent products), here are \*\*key stocks to consider owning\*\* in this context. I've grouped them by the most relevant forces they capture, with rationale tied to the trends: \### Di...

Pharmacy pick up date discrepencies

26d ago

Hi everyone, I wonder if this has happened to anyone else, and I offer you my sympathies if so. I have MS, along with bulging discs in my back, so unfortunately I rely on pain medication to help me get through my day. I'm a rambler so apologies in advance! Over the last two months, my Walgreens has made me wait 31 days for my pain medication.. which has been absolutely terrible. The pharmacy wouldn't be opened before I had to go work, so I end up just suffering. I try to tell them this, but they refuse to listen to any of my reasoning and just tell me "it is how it is" and hang up the phone. I've literally never had this happen before, and have always been a...

Is there a way to fight being required to do 90 day rxs?

26d ago

My insurance plan switched PBMs this year and they are requiring all drugs be 90 day prescriptions but I have two that like… that would be kinda crazy for. ETA: I was contacted last week that I have to change pharmacies and change from 30 to 90 days to get them fully covered, was told they were only ‘courtesy covered’ so far this year and next refills must change. One is a biologic that seems very narrowly controlled and the company will only send it like max a week before shot date. The other is a medication that has very narrow shelf life requirements that I can’t meet (it isnt refrigerated but has to be kept at 68-75 or something and in the dark). The place where I live is 61-65...

Walgreen's pharm tech shamed me for this med and then argued with me.

26d ago

***Update***: filed a formal complaint with Walgreen's corporate and switched all our family meds to Costco. Thank you everyone for your amazing support and advice!!! I'll try to keep the long story short. *Insurance background:* The e-voucher covered my meds last month. This month I wanted to apply the Lilly savings card. The first time I went they told me they had to call and they would call me back. He did, said they need an ICD code which my provider called in. Go back to pick up meds today. Tech says she has to call back to have voucher removed (ok, again?) and tells me to have a seat. Almost an hour later (I think she purposely kept me waiting) she says ok I have it r...

okay Bushwick, I need your help!

32d ago

Hope this doesn’t get deleted, because I really need some genuine help here. I’m back on ADHD meds for the first time since 2020. I’m surprised to learn that, post pandemic, there are frequent shortages of my drug of choice (Vyvanse, 30 ML, extended releases). The last two times I’ve tried to fill it at the Walgreens on Knick, I was told over and over that it wasn’t coming in. Finally, I had to have my mother fill it for me back home and mail it. It was more expensive this way, ($300+) because that pharmacy doesn’t accept GoodRX. Same thing seems to be playing out this month at Walgreens. I just called CVS to see if they had it; they too said they were back ordered. They sugg...

Questions about resolution, insurance, etc.

36d ago

Hi, all! I've been working in the pharmacy at my store for 2 months. I worked at Walgreens before this, but I wasn't a tech. I mainly filled and occasionally checked people out but never had to deal with insurance issues. I just need clarification on a couple of things. When working on resolution and it says that something needs a prior authorization, does our system automatically start that process? Or do I need to reach out to the patient every time to let them know to contact their prescriber to start the process? Also, if it says that a product isn't on a patient's insurance formulary and it's a pricey drug, would that also be an instance to call the patient ...

UHC covering my scripts as “co-insurance”?

36d ago

Tl;dr— UHC is telling me my cost at the pharmacy is a 20% coinsurance based on the full cost of a 90 day supply, instead of a copay cost. I cannot find any information to show how this is being designated, or what drugs fall into this category. Okay, long version— UHC returned my premium payment I made on 1/29 without informing me. When I went to the pharmacy today (Walgreens), one of my medications (Vilazodone 20mg 90 days) rang up as $119.25. I asked the tech why, and she states I was showing as in “grace” with UHC, and that usually meant the premium wasn’t paid. My other script was still showing only 5 dollars as total cost, also a 90 day supply. At this point, I told her I ...

Will online pharmacy clash with part D

37d ago

Suffering from insomnia, I looked to my Part D provider (Wellcare) and found they don't include coverage for Ramelteon. I used an online pharmacy and purchased the drug cheaply on a trial basis, only 15 pills at first. Evidently, Walgreens must have notified Wellcare, because I got a letter today saying they are aware of this trial drug. Do I need to call them about it, or will any conflict go away on its own? I don't expect Wellcare to supply the drug or cover/compensate in any way.

Is it rude to ask my Doctor to not use AI in their responses on the patient portal?

37d ago

I frankly am out of touch. i dont use ai, dont talk to others who use it, etc., but i got a message back from my dr's office that clearly felt like a robot wrote it. it was clinical and soulless, and i ran it through an ai detector, and it said 100%. My question is, is it rude to ask them not to do this? They are a small clinic with a couple of people, so i imagine it could be hard to send messages, but also originally i don't think she was sending messages like that before. I dont know if i did something that made them whip out the machine that makes them write the tough messages for them, but i almost felt offended. When doctors and professors send back a quick, vague 1 sentence...

Pharmacy Orders (actual prescriptions)

39d ago

Which whitesuit thought this was a good idea? I get to Walgreens today to pick up a pharmacy order because it was $22/4.8mi and the pharmacy technician asks me for my license because it was NARCOTIC. To top things off it was going to be handed to me in a transparent bag where you could clearly see the drug (hydrocodone 10mg). I noped out of that so **** fast, thats some crazy *** liability I wanted no part of.

At A Loss...

42d ago

TL;DR: Wondering if there might be any kind repercussions for not following through with a UA report for the doc who "saw" me. First thing I want to say is I am not trying to be any kind of negative towards the outfit I tried (Dr.House). I think the doc I saw was very much trying to do her due diligence, I just found the experience confusing and it left me in a bit of a pickle. Noticed my urine has been smelling funky the last few days and as I'm a woman in my 40's you'd think I'd know immediately what was up. Apparently I'm an *****? In my defense the smell was ODD. It made me think of medications before anything else. I don't know if this is a sup...
