Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Walgreens Latest Community Discussions About WalgreensAt A Loss...2d agoTL;DR: Wondering if there might be any kind repercussions for not following through with a UA report for the doc who "saw" me. First thing I want to say is I am not trying to be any kind of negative towards the outfit I tried (Dr.House). I think the doc I saw was very much trying to do her due diligence, I just found the experience confusing and it left me in a bit of a pickle. Noticed my urine has been smelling funky the last few days and as I'm a woman in my 40's you'd think I'd know immediately what was up. Apparently I'm an *****? In my defense the smell was ODD. It made me think of medications before anything else. I don't know if this is a sup... Seems about right3d agoBeyond frustrated with insurance/Lilly racket4d ago**TL;DR:** Zepbound is the only thing that’s ever worked for me, so stopping isn’t an option. After weeks fighting insurance, it was “approved”… only to learn I still have to pay $450/month, which is the *same price as self-pay*. Insurance and Lilly coupon literally save me nothing. I’m dropping telehealth, going back to my regular doctor, and paying Lilly Direct $450/month anyway—still unaffordable, but better than paying even more. For background, I switched from Ozempic to Zepbound in June of 2025, and Zepbound has been a complete game-changer for me, so going off of it is not an option. I have only lost 22 pounds in that time, and I have 70 more to go to reach my goal, bu... Losing my mind. Where carries it will order for me in Los Angeles7d agoLos Angeles here. In the past, I was able to get a local pharmacy order we Wilshire generics, and they were amazing, however they stopped ordering them for me because their cost exceeded the insurance payments they’d receive for the drug. For months I’ve been trying to locate a single pharmacy who has stock or would be willing to order the band name or any generic, to no luck. I’ve tried multiple Walgreens and CVSs. I keep falling back on aderrall since I’m having better luck getting it, but it is so inferior to zenzedi for me, it’s driving me nuts. Any recommendations would be appreciated. More of todays news - 500% pill pop10d ago[**Novo Nordisk A/S**]()' (NYSE:NVO) weight-loss revolution just swallowed a record. In just its second week on the market, [Novo Nordisk's]() oral **Wegovy** pill hit 20,371 prescriptions, up from 4,289 in week one—a nearly 500% week-over-week surge. For context, [**Eli Lilly And Co**]()'s (NYSE:LLY) **Zepbound** hit about 10,000 scripts in week two, while Novo’s original injectable Wegovy barely cleared 1,000. This isn't just a good launch. It's unprecedented velocity. # Why This Record Is Bigger Than It Looks What makes it even more interesting is the fact that the 20,371 figure is likely conservative. Retail script data captures traditional pharmac... I Erase History for a Living13d ago The old man behind the counter smiled, but I knew he was scrutinizing me behind those horn-rimmed glasses as he rang up the spools of construction line. I told him I was a contractor working on a surveying project. Still, he regarded me with distrust as I paid and turned to leave. I saw the same expression on the faces of the other old men loitering at the diner. Their distrust would turn to **** once they found out why I was really there. I noticed the first yard signs along the highway on my way to the site. In town, it was hard to find a house or business without the green and white sign and its message: “Dam Your Own **** River.” I wondered how long it took the... Dermatologist told me about "the new isotretinoin" being safer. History of Accutane?15d agoI just got prescribed isotretinoin for the first time (20mg a day for now, claravis). I brought up many of my concerns with my dermatologist and he calmed my nerves by telling me about how Accutane is technically discontinued and now the more correct term is isotretinoin which is a safer version of it. He said that this "newer version" has a much less chance of giving severe short term symtoms and any long term symptoms and that I don't need to do blood tests with it (unlike the older accutane). He said that in his 14 years of practicing, he had never had a patient who took isotretinoin who had joint pain and or other more severe short term side effects and he never had a pat... Urgent pharmacy Question...15d agoUpdate: I found a local speciality pharmacy with it in stock! Apparently this drug is approved by my insurance for 6 pre-filled syringes every 23 days but only one can be ordered/shipped at a time. Which doesn't make sense given the timing of the dosing but I'm letting my pharmacy fight that battle for me with the insurance company. Thank you to all who had suggestions or offers. And for anyone in the Philadelphia area...Rosemont Pharmacy has it in their regular in house stock. Someone either at my clinic or my specialty pharmacy ****** up. It's my first medicated stims cycle. When my meds arrived I counted the what I had vs what was ordered..all were there. So today (Sunday... I am having horrible luck with pharmacies15d agox Late December I had to get my Cromolyn refilled, but could not get to the pharmacy in time to get it. It got put back on the shelf and when I tried to get it filled again I was told that I had to wait for my next refill in a month. There was no claim on my insurance for this med and I haven't yet actually gotten my refill so what? x Got it transferred to CVS, but so did the fake claim. Luckily, my Immunologist must have gotten a message I was out of meds at my original pharmacy, Capsule, because all of a sudden I had another prescription. So I transferred that one and got my meds. x Friday I was supposed to get my meds from Capsule, but they never arrived. I never got a notificatio... Why are ADHD drugs the most not-ADHD friendly drugs to order?17d agoSeriously, why do I have to jump through these hoops EVERY SINGLE MONTH?? So in order to refill my Vyvanse, I have to 1. Notice I'm running low. This usually happens when I go to take my pill in the morning and 'ohshitthatwasthelastone'. 2. Message my doctor on MyChart asking for a refill. 3. Wait for a response that they sent the prescription, up to 24hrs. 4. Wait for a response from Walgreens that they received my prescription. Up to 24hrs 5. Call ON THE PHONE to request they actually fill the prescription. Because apparently my doctor sending them the prescription and the fact we do this every month is not enough of a clue that yes, I do actually want the drugs. Also ... Why is Empire Ranch the least "business-saturated" area of Folsom?24d agoEverywhere you go in Folsom, on every major street like Iron Point, East Bidwell, Folsom Blvd, Folsom-Auburn Rd, Riley, Blue Ravine, Prairie City Rd, etc. There's always bound to be retail chains, grocery stores, gift shops, discount stores, gas stations, mini-marts, mom & pop stores, restaurants, bars, fast food, coffee shops, café's, delis, ice cream parlors, drug pharmacies, hotels, hospitals, chiropractors, banks, gyms, technology companies, salons, dentists, you name it. But Empire Ranch is the odd one out. It's built primarily on residence, parks, golfing, electric voltages, and land. Once you pass the Raley's shopping center on E Natoma, all the commer... [0 YoE, Unemployed, Biochemistry REU internships, United States]25d agoI updated it from what I had a few days ago. A lot of wording changes to put a more active voice into the resume. I also tried to de-emphasize the university that I dropped out from by moving it to the bottom of the education list and not listing its GPA (I will be explaining that in any essays and will still be providing transcripts for that school though). [0 YoE, Unemployed, Biochemistry-related research Internship, United States]27d agohttps://preview.redd.it/1tdr3b2ujsbg1.jpg?width=1700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa1b3147c70a9cfaa8c3a6cec30c21b2cffac287 I dropped out of university a few years back due to poor grades (1.8 GPA). Fixed myself up and am looking to apply for summer 2026 REU Biochemistry research positions. * I am learning C++ for my math degree, but I don't have a github or anything like that yet. * I didn't graduate from school 1 so I don't have a degree hence the "(incomplete)". * I am pre-med, so the goal for me is to get some biochemistry internship that helps me get there. Any glaring mistakes? Any ideas would be helpful! Why Costco Pharmacy Is Becoming a Smart Buy in 202631d agoPrescription prices keep rising, but Costco is quietly becoming one of the best places to fill meds, even if you don’t shop there. What’s making it stand out: - Prices are often closer to actual drug costs instead of inflated retail markups - Many common prescriptions are cheaper than big chain pharmacies, especially for 3 month supplies. - Helpful for people paying cash or with high deductibles **Important:** You do **not** need a Costco membership to use the pharmacy in any U.S. state. Pharmacies are open to the public. With brand-name drugs seeing new price hikes this year, more people are comparing prescription prices instead of defaulting to CVS or Walgreens. Smart buying isn... Existential anxiety about taking antiseizure meds.38d agoI (30F) was diagnosed with epilepsy 16 years ago after collapsing at a school assembly in front of ~400 very traumatized kids. It's a darkly funny little story to me now - maybe not so much at the time lol. Like many of you, I've been on different combos of anticonvulsant medications ever since, and currently have my seizures under control! I'm beyond thankful to be able to work, drive, travel, and live life independently with the right treatment and a great doctor. It's something not everyone with seizures can say and I never forget that. All of that said, over the last year or so I've started feeling extreme anxiety over the thought of being dependent on my medica... Just needing a big ol’ vent about medication/accessibility!!41d agoLiving in America and having consistently prescribed medication/s has to be some sort of medieval humiliation ritual-style experience. Bear with me. I take Ritalin daily and have for about a year. This might be a different experience for ADHD-havers who don’t live in the US, but oh my god, why is it CONSTANTLY ON BACKORDER??!!! My prescription is due to be filled tomorrow but CVS told me they won’t have it until at least the 31st. Then the pharmacist told me to call around to local independent pharmacies and Walgreens’ instead because they’ll have different wholesalers for the drug. NO ONE HAS IT. WHY DO THEY ALL SOUND MAD AT ME FOR ASKING IF THEY HAVE IT? WHY IS IT ALWAYS ON BACK... Best dollar tree makeup?44d agoJust curious what you think ☺️ i need to look on a budget, and sometimes even drug stores can be expensive. So i just want to make sure i am doing the best, and which drug store do you usually go to for that ie cvs pharmacy, walgreens, 5 below, primark, dollar tree, etc. ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
