Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the Walgreens Latest Community Discussions About WalgreensJust needing a big ol’ vent about medication/accessibility!!1d agoLiving in America and having consistently prescribed medication/s has to be some sort of medieval humiliation ritual-style experience. Bear with me. I take Ritalin daily and have for about a year. This might be a different experience for ADHD-havers who don’t live in the US, but oh my god, why is it CONSTANTLY ON BACKORDER??!!! My prescription is due to be filled tomorrow but CVS told me they won’t have it until at least the 31st. Then the pharmacist told me to call around to local independent pharmacies and Walgreens’ instead because they’ll have different wholesalers for the drug. NO ONE HAS IT. WHY DO THEY ALL SOUND MAD AT ME FOR ASKING IF THEY HAVE IT? WHY IS IT ALWAYS ON BACK... Best dollar tree makeup?3d agoJust curious what you think ☺️ i need to look on a budget, and sometimes even drug stores can be expensive. So i just want to make sure i am doing the best, and which drug store do you usually go to for that ie cvs pharmacy, walgreens, 5 below, primark, dollar tree, etc. Question about Combipatch and insurance coverage6d agoMy wife is prescribed Combipatch by OB/GYN doctor. I have BCBS Bronze and we went to walgreens and they said insurance does not cover it. Pharmacist also said they can call the doctor and tell her that this combipatch is a necessity and doctor can force BCBS to cover the cost. We waited for a week but no call back from anybody so I called the doctor and it turns out they dont do that. Nurse recommended to look at goodrx which I already did same price around $275.99. Combipatch lasts for 1 month. Is there a way to get this cheaper? [https://www.goodrx.com/combipatch?label\_override=combipatch&form=package&dosage=8-patches-of-0.05mg-0.25mg&quantity=1&drugId=37... Pharmacist refused to refill the remainder of my monthly prescription despite it being a 30 day supply and being out of ...6d agoDiscrimination at Walgreens on Hamilton and Galbraith TLDR: Pharmacist refused to fill the remainder of a monthly prescription of a schedule IV controlled substance due to “personal preferences” with no obvious safety/addiction safety concerns noted and chronic pain patient being out of state and willing to present plane tickets to indicate that she would be unable to pick up and be out of meds after current 10 day supply runs out Hi all. I wanted to share about an extremely negative experience I had at the walgreens on Hamilton and Galbraith regarding a pharmacist refusing to fill my prescription due to “personal preference” and miscommunication between this “personal preferenc... I wanted to share about an extremely negative experience I had at the walgreens on Hamilton and Galbraith regarding a pharmacist refusing to fill my prescription due to “personal preference” and miscommunication between this “personal preference” and pharmacy technician. I was only able to get it at an external pharmacy, to use the drug discount card, ONCE. It costs $436 at the Kaiser pharmacy and they do not take discount cards, and this is their preferred med of this type. I don’t have any issues with the medicine as far as I can tell but I’ve taken it late twice since it’s been such a pain to get it. I tried submitting an appeal but I believe that is for the alternative med options, not for cost. How can I fight to get the cost reduced to something affordable? Paying $436 twice, in order to meet the deductible of $500, makes it go down to $189 at Kaiser. Even at Walgreens with the di... What Trump’s reclassification of pot and CBD could mean for seniors, research and stocks7d agoTue, Dec 16 2025 11:45 AM EST CNBC Updated 2 Hours Ago Key Points: * President Donald Trump is considering a Medicare pilot program that would provide some seniors access to CBD as he looks to reclassify marijuana as Schedule III. * A looser classification would ease tax burdens, banking limits and research barriers, while Medicare reimbursement could attract institutional and pharmaceutical investors. * Critics warn the proposal is outpacing the science with limited clinical evidence backing medical claims around marijuana. # President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order this week that would broadly expand access to cannabis. **Industry advocates, executives and resea... Express Scripts is nothing but BULLSHIT!!!!8d agoI haven’t been calling them I’ve only called them when I was asked to call them. So it’s not like I was calling them every time I wanted to fix their **** *** mistakes. So the first time they told me he needed a pre authorization when it was a insurance rejection saying that he had part D Medicare and Tri care and that if I had oars D they wouldn’t even fill my brothers scripts. So I finally got them to change that mistake I didn’t even offer to pay cash but is that even an option with them? But anyway so they fixed that took me over an hour on the phone with them. Then the class two goes from delayed back to processing. A day later after the lady told us nothing to worry about e... Apotex Midodrine: MISSING? CANCELLED?10d agoI take a crazy amount of midodrine and have also tried multiple manufacturer. Apotex is the best and most reliable manufacturer for me. I have been going to CVS to get it, but they just told me that it’s no longer available— without clarifying if that means just to CVS, just for the moment, or if it’s cancelled forever. Is anyone else having this problem? or does anyone else have a pharmacy that doesn’t give them grief? ADD: I have been using midodrine for 20 years, starting when it was still promatine and through the period when it became an orphan drug (and then came back). I know Apotex is the brand that I can predict— aurobindo (chalky one) is a non starter for me. I al... pharmacy recommendations?13d agounfortunately corner drug no longer takes the insurance i have. i’m honestly real bummed because that place has always been so accessible and reliable. other than walgreens, are there other pharmacies you would recommend ? cried on my first day as a pharmacist technician18d agohello, i just wanted to rant about my first day. it felt extremely stressful since i work in a very busy walgreens. i was working in fast food, so i’d assume nothing would beat the rushes there. i was doing fine the other days i was just doing modules, but i haven’t even finished the millions of modules we do and i got put in the pharmacy and i honestly had no idea what i was doing. i started crying because of the many rules when checking people’s prescriptions out. my manager kept assuring me i did fine, but everything was so unorganized and it took me a very long time to find everyone’s prescription. a lady started giving me attitude and that’s when i started to cry. i’ve had ... Pharmacy issues with Adderall21d agoHi! This is my first Reddit post, and I just want to know if anyone has been through something like this because I feel like I’m losing my mind. This is my first controlled medication ever, and I’ve never dealt with anything like this. I’m 25. I saw a psychiatrist for the first time on 11/5, got diagnosed with ADHD, and was prescribed 20mg Adderall once a day. She told me to start with 10mg in the morning and 10mg in the afternoon, then switch to the full 20mg in the morning if needed, which worked better for me. I’ve gone to the same Walgreens my entire life and usually dealt with the same pharmacist. When I picked up that first script, her attitude completely changed. She lecture... Best pharmacies in shreveport-bossier area?27d agoI’ve had all kinds of problems with the walgreens on greenwood and jewella, they NEVER have my prescriptions in stock (i am on adderall, a schedule 1 drug, and i understand the DEA is very strict about those but even other less “controlled substances like prednisone, fluconazole, etc shouldn’t take 2-3 weeks) and when they do i have to wait in line at least 45 mins no matter what time i go. I transferred all my prescriptions to the walgreens in brookeshire’s on bert kouns and they are slightly better but i’m going on 2 weeks without any refills. I’m not a shreveport native (only lived here for a year or so) and i don’t know any good pharmacies around here but this is starting ... Partial Refill of medication question28d agoMy psychiatrist has skin cancer and just had an operation to have it removed, and because of that she has understandably been less on top of things than usual. I’m prescribed 60 pills a month. We are supposed to meet on December 3rd for our yearly in person appointment. She forgot to send a prescription for this month, she usually sends it in sets of three with one to be released each month. There were only two though, so i called and they sent a prescription for this month. But the fill was only 15 pills to be taken twice daily. I was confused so i called the office just to make sure we would still be able to fill the remainder of the months prescription after our in person meeting since ... AIO or Should I Quit?29d agoSo for context I have been working at my store for about a year now. I’m still a trainee so I haven’t gotten my actual liscense yet. However, I am a full-time college student. So I’ve only either been able to work weekends since my class schedule has just happened to be 5 days every semester. My pharmacy is also closed on Sundays as we apparently don’t get that many people coming in. So the only day I’ve really worked is Saturdays, and during my first semester I also worked Mondays and Wednesdays. Because I am barely able to go in to work it has taken me so long to figure out the whole system and how to do things/work things and I would say I’m still in the process of learning ev... Where are you getting Rhapsido?29d agoMy fiance was prescribed Rhapsido for her MCAS and was given two one-month samples. Insurance approved it almost immediately but Walgreens called and said they are unable to order it and transferred the prescription to Ingles. Ingles called this morning and said they were also unable to order it and transferred it to CVS. CVS just called me to tell me that they’re unable to order it, also. I called Novartis and told them that no pharmacy in my area is able to acquire their drug and they told me that it shouldn’t be an issue and gave me a number to give to the pharmacies, but all of those pharmacies refused to even call it. I know it’s brand new and probably not in most vendors’ stoc... Ethical question for pharm staff - what would you do if you knew a tech was stealing pills from a friend (but not necess...30d agoSo… here’s an issue that I’m unfortunately going through at the moment. I left the mental health field a little while back and started in Pharm as a tech. I love it, it’s been great. As it happens, my roommate was jobless and decided to give it a go as well. It’s been great having someone to rant to, honestly. She works for the same company as me (Walgreens lol), but at a different location. That was, until I noticed something odd… my meds are going missing. To be clear, I have absolutely no evidence or reason to think she’s stealing from her pharmacy. But *my* meds are being stolen by a pharmacy tech. So far I’ve tracked that she’s stolen from me: 2 Percocets, 2 hydro... ğŸ›¡ï¸ Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
