Vision Express Locations - Store Locator Tool UK

Got an eye test in Vision Express and want to buy the new lenses (€220 cost) but also provide my own glasses to fit them in to. Im told to do this there is a €70 'glazing fee' but if I bought one of their frames in the shop then the fee doesnt apply. Is this practice normal across opticians? It seems like a financial penalty for just wanting to stick to the same frames.

I've been around a bunch of different opticians over the past decade, Boots, Vision Express, Specsavers, a smaller local chain. Sometimes I got glasses following an eye test, sometimes I just bought online. I had generally good experiences from SelectSpecs, but the last pair I got was delivered almost weirdly quick considering my prescription and I believe the glasses may have given me some dizziness. Does anyone know of any fashionable glasses stores in the UK? Preferably somewhere with a physical store in London so I can try on before buying. Happy to invest a fair bit into the frames since I’ll have to wear them every day. I’ve been told my eyes have gotten worse and I need to wear glasses quite frequently now, but I’ve looked around specsavers & vision express and I don’t like any of the styles they have.

I think I'm missing something obvious here but - looking on the help section for benefits and it says staff can get a Vision Express eye test for free with your league club card, if you spend £50. But a VE eye test is £30 so how do you spend £50 to get it free?

Hello, I'm looking for sunglasses, and I'm wondering if you know of any stores that sell more interesting shapes than just the dozens of models from VisionExpress and others? For example, Fiók has some pretty cool glasses, but I only need cylinder lenses, and they only had pre-made reading glasses made of sunglasses. I'd rather buy them from a local craft or boutique store where they can make cylinder lenses. In terms of price, I'd be interested in the under 100,000 range, including lenses. Thanks!

I'm looking for new glasses. I've got a small face, so I need something like 48 mm or smaller lens width. Is there anywhere in Oxford that I can go to try them on? I'm happy to buy from teenage ranges if needed. I tried David Spicer (nothing small enough) and Vision Express (a handful of frames in the right size, but I didn't like any of them). I've had glasses from Ace and Tate in the past and they weren't good quality. Where else is worth a try? I specifically want to get them professionally fitted and be able to go back for on-the-spot adjustments if needed, so I don't want to order online.

Sziasztok! Nagyjából 3 éve voltam a Vision Express-ben, de nem voltam teljesen megelégedve a siettetett vizsgálattal, illetve úgy érzem rosszabbodott is mostanra a szemem. (24 éves vagyok, rengeteget ülök monitor előtt.) Nem szeretnék Vision-be és Ofotértbe menni, viszont teljesen el vagyok veszve melyik optika lenne a legmegfelelőbb, ahol jól ki is vizsgálnak és a szemüveg ára is valamennyire baráti. Ezen kívül sok helyen olvastam, hogy az optikai vizsgálat helyett inkább a szemészeti orvosi vizsgálat javasolt. Akinek szemüvege van, ti hogyan és hol csináltattátok?

My son is 13 and has been on 6 monthly check ups as his eyes seem to be changing fairly rapid. 12 months ago we bought a pair of Rayban from the men's section and paid the difference in price (about 120). 6 months later we went back for a check up and his eyes had changed slightly so we bought him another pair Armani and paid the difference again another 100+.
