Hello, my girlfriend has just started a low-FODMAP diet and we are both quickly realising how hard it is to find products in supermarkets unless they’re specifically marketed in “free-from” sections. We have been using FODMAP friendly and find it really useful, particularly individual ingredients but I have been contemplating making an app/website for categorising UK supermarket products. Just wondering if this already exists or if anyone has any suggestions on viability of the idea. Right now my plan is to scrape data from websites (Lidl, Asda, Tesco etc) and using the ingredients lists to categorise in a traffic light system. I know the ingredient lists can also hide potential FODMA...

No right or wrong answer here but curious to your thoughts. I have a local fruit/veggie market that is a bit far from me that I try to do most of my shopping but sometimes I do an “all for one” trip aka Pingo Doce, Lidl, or Auchan and rather not make an extra stop + carry. In your opinion, is there any items that are in “better shape” or better pricing you get from the grocery store than the local places? Am I pulling the right move by pretty much getting all my fruit/veg from the market and then the rest at the grocery? Do you think the standards of “freshness” are held at the same for both? Sort of a rant/rave about the Budapest transit system. All around the system is very good, even by European standards (phenomenal by NA standards) just wanted to highlight how far above their weight the Budapest Transit app (Budapest go) punches above its weight. As someone with who needs barrier free access to transit, having the ability to see if the upcoming tram/bus is accessible is amazing. Live tracking of all transit vehicles & even micro mobility is another feature that's slow to roll out in many other cities but a very nice touch. I also tried eating some food from the local market behind the Origo, in Riga, and that was better. For many years it has been public knowledge that Bulgaria has very high prices on many consumer goods (food especially) compared to other EU countries. I was in Greece yesterday and I cannot find any logical explanation why there are such major price differences between the same goods. To me this seems like a huge arbitrage/business potential on prima vista, so I am wondering what is the explanation to this phenomenon since obviously no one abuses it?
