The $300B Tariff Dodge, Walmart's Backroom 3PL & UPS Returns: The Latest Logistics News

7h ago

The macro landscape continues to shift. Over $300 billion in imports are actively dodging U.S. tariffs, Walmart is turning its backrooms into micro-fulfillment centers to battle Amazon, and UPS and Uber are fighting over the booming reverse logistics market. **Walmart Turns Backrooms into Micro-3PLs** In a direct challenge to Amazon’s speed, Walmart is carving out the back rooms of its Supercenters to act as staging areas for its third-party marketplace sellers. The Financial Times reports that Walmart is currently testing this in Dallas, leveraging AI to predict local demand and position third-party inventory right inside the store for same-day delivery. Because Walmart has heavily auto...

Received this email today. Gen brands putting pressure on China? Elliot wrote the following "After careful investigation, we have identified that the delay was caused by an issue with one of our Hong Kong FedEx shipping accounts, which has recently been restricted and requires replacement. This unexpected situation disrupted part of our shipping process. As a result, a large number of parcels had to be rerouted through Hong Kong, causing temporary congestion and requiring airline rescheduling, which has further contributed to the delay." Any mo...

Anyone else’s package get lost or stuck recently? And if it got stuck in Memphis did it ever end up being delivered or was your package gone for good? Getting so bummed about the lack of care for issues like this.

Funding ATC Raises and Modernization Without Breaking the System

I’ve been looking at this from a straight numbers angle, and the more I dig in, the more it feels like we’re arguing past the real issue. The system already brings in about $23B a year through the Airport and Airway Trust Fund. If you added something like a targeted 1.2% excise tied specifically to air traffic services, that’s roughly another $4.5–$5B a year. That’s not hypothetical, that’s real money that could be dedicated to the system itself. And this is only talking about the 10 largest operators in the U.S., passenger and cargo: * Delta Air Lines * United Airlines * American Airlines * Southwest Airlines * Alaska Air Group * JetBlue Airways * Frontier Airlines * Allegiant...

It is often given time før 18.00, something like that, sometimes it comes early morning when I just wake up, sometimes right after 18.00. It is frustrating and ****** you cant go out from home or youhave to take a day off from work just because you are receiving a parcel. And communication with the driver is often at their discretionary, some is okay to be contacted some is not. And this happens if the seller only offers delivery with one of those carriers and not with posten/postnord

first time using doorzo air

2d ago

heard doorzo air is horrible but i kinda don't wanna pay hundreds of dollars (dhl/fedex) for a shipment of 100 instax polaroids initially i was gonna consolidate my magazines, cds, and polaroids into one shipment - but it would only offer me dhl and fedex ($500+ dollar fee) so i split them into two consolidations - package 1 with magazines, cds, and a small plush. package 2 with \~100 polaroids package 1: i chose doorzo air, totaling \~$32 for shipping. this parcel is worth around $69/¥11,000 package 2: cheapest option is doorzo air, \~$58 for shipping. also this parcel is worth around $275/¥60,000, but i know the box size will be much smaller since it'll only contain polaro...

What should I do?

5d ago

My package was initially shipped via FedEx, but because my delivery address was an Auspost parcel locker, FedEx “delivers” it to Auspost to do the final leg (standard, done this many times). HOWEVER, my package is stuck (lost??). Both FedEx and Auspost are pointing the finger at each other. Wtaf. Anyone have any experience with this sort of issue?? UPDATE: After an investigation, FedEx have said the shipment was handed over to Auspost but that they are declaring my parcel as officially lost in transit. UPDATE 2: Auspost are also declaring it as lost in transit after searching the their returns facility. They also explained “they have a clear floor policy which prevents parcels from...
