So in January I returned an Apple Watch via DPD. It was organised by curry’s who arranged DPD to collect from my doorstep (Scotland). Weeks went by with no refund. Curry’s kept telling me it would take 48 hours for a refund. I then complained to them and they eventually told me that DPD has “lost” my parcel. They still wouldn’t refund me so I went to Virgin credit card and opened a dispute. Virgin have chased curry’s but curry’s have said no. I was in all day Wednesday, waiting the item to arrive. I received an email saying 'your item has been delivered to your neighbour'. Huh? None of my direct neighbours are in during the day, or would take a parcel for me. I opened the email to discover that the 'neighbour' was actually a post office, several miles away. I am disabled and do not drive. I don't have the ability to collect an item left in a random location. So, I create a ticket. Thursday, the response tells me the item is at the post office, so they haven't even read it. I reply immediately, saying I am unable to collect from there. (I have inpost mostly ticked because I live out in the sticks and there is only inposts that are closest to me, however if I could work out how to change postage over seas, I would venture out a bit further.) England, think I know where I stand but want to double check. Had an order delivered by DPD yesterday, have these very regularly from this particular company. I wasn't going to be in which is rare so checked the DPD app and made sure I didn't have the safe place option as my house is open to the road, so the option was to leave with a neighbour. I bought a watch from vinted, already done dozens of transactions never an issue. This package took longer to deliver and eventually was delivered/redirected in another parcel shop about 120km away by DPD. As I am not driving that distance what will happen. Can I expect my payment back if I report a problem?
