Vintage Pop Ups/Markets this week?

2h ago

I will be in Mexico City from tomorrow until Saturday night and I love thrifting. I’ve researched stores but I’d also like to go to some markets, although I know some are only Sundays or the weekend. I’m interested in women’s clothing, I like 90’s/00’s style, vintage silver jewelry, or just anything unique and interesting.

I hope they are garlicky

I saw these at my local kosher grocery store and got one for dinner tonight or a late lunch

It is very easy for customers to purchase through Online Grocery Super Market also Choose the near by favorite store and...

Once again I stayed at home.

3h ago

A couple of days ago I saw a post about a book market that was going to take place at a nearby city. I thought about going there, just to escape from my monotonous routine, although, deep down, I knew I wasn't going. It is always like this. Things that I supposedly want to do I never do, places I want to go I never go, stuff I want to learn that I never learn... I play scenarios in my head about what I would do if I were to do those things. I imagine myself walking to the stalls and asking the people from the publishing houses questions like "what about this book that you've stopped releasing?", but I know that, if, somehow, I had gone to that market, I would not have a...

CLEP/DSST EDUCATION

3h ago

I am just trying to test the waters and get some opinions. We are all aware of how CLEP/dsst is kept from being more mainstream. I am from a small town in Texas. I live in Austin now, but I go back to the small town quite a bit. I say small meaning that there are 2 dollar generals and one grocery store and a sonic. THATS IT aside from convenience stores. I am considering asking the library there to hold educational seminars about CLEP/DSST and/or even possibly holding classes with the interested people to help them study the online resources we all know is available. I would love to know what you think/how it would go/ if anyone would even be interested!!

I tell you! Why I’m bullish on Damac Lagoons and all water-facing Creek Harbour Island apartments! And Why I am bearis...

I’m not a realtor, just a long-time investor who happens to have bought and sold quite a few properties around the world — over a hundred transactions across the US (mainly NY, NJ and Delaware), Shanghai, Europe, and the UAE. Real estate isn’t my full-time job, but I’ve been running my own business for decades, so I tend to look at investments from a broader business perspective. Because of that, I usually take realtors’ opinions with a grain of salt — most of them are commission-driven, and that’s easy to notice after some years in the game. That said, I’m always open to learning and exchanging ideas. I’m just sharing what I personally observe and think, from a mature inv...

[REQUEST][STEAM] Forza Horizon 5 at 50% Off

3h ago

Hey y'all! I had a lot of attempts for getting this game on an older account, but sadly I don't have access to it anymore, so I'm posting my request for this game again, in the autumn sales! Forza Horizon is an awesome game. I really really enjoy it. Awesome driving physics, gorgeous graphics, pure sandbox, and just tons of stuff to do. It's my chill game when I'm tired and I don't want to put time and energy on following a story game or something, and it's not as aggressive or triggering as a shooter game, nor as addictive. So, naturally, I'm asking some kind stranger to gift me Forza Horizon 5, which I have had the opportunity to try out, but haven...

Any thoughts on Silver Lake's buyout of EA?

3h ago

Clearly [Silver Lake was the mastermind behind the deal](https://www.wsj.com/tech/ea-electronic-arts-lbo-andrew-wilson-f576706d?siteid=yhoof2), although Saudi's PIF will contribute the biggest chunk of cash. Given their past track records and the fact that they will end up with two companies in the gaming industry, I think it isn't ridiculous to assume they have a plan for some type of cross-company restructuring, instead of assuming that they will sit back idly after taking EA private. Maybe they plan to spin off DICE (EA's subsidiary responsible for developing Frostbite, the game engine used to develop Battlefield 6, Madden NFL, and FIFA, etc.) and merge them with Unity in ...

Sous vide time for a chuck roast

3h ago

Got a nice waygu chuck roast for pretty cheap at my local grocery store. I’ve sous vide them before and they turn out pretty **** good, but I forgot how long it’s supposed to cook for. It’s only 2.5lb and I was planning to eat it tonight, but all the videos I’ve seen say to sous vide it for 24 hours. Is that really necessary or will 6-8 hours do? Also what temp for the water should I aim for if I want medium rare? I think I did like 125F last time and then read that you should never sous vide steaks less than 130F because it becomes a food safety issue for longer cook times?

Success Story: FA/Disorganized Attachment Healing Roadmap, Resource Recommendations

3h ago

**Hello, fellow Fearful Avoidants! The below post has grown out of almost 3 years of research and healing this attachment style, which in my case was coupled with Relationship OCD (ROCD). ROCD is a vicious manifestation of Disorganized attachment that can develop in long term relationships. For those who are not familiar, imagine anxiety, relationship doubts, the "Ick" towards your partner, and deactivation urges (to run away) multiplied tenfold in a vicious loop. Anxiety from intimacy causes doubts about the relationship to escalate, which causes more anxiety, causing more doubts and on and on, the loop from **** turns and turns, causing all kinds of somatic effects. Basically, RO...

Stop chasing millions. Focus on your first 10 users.

3h ago

My Co-Founder and I have been thinking a lot about what really matters when building a startup (and even more while building a Chrome Extension). And honestly, it all comes down to one thing: **👉 Making something people want.** It’s a bit cringe 😅 but it’s true. It’s not about where you come from. Or where you studied. Sure, Stanford on your LinkedIn helps open doors. But doesn’t get you to Product-Market-Fit. The best founders get this. Though most investors dismiss it 🙃. Luck is a big part of it. But we can all help make luck happen. Some quick thoughts: * Forget the millions. Obsess over the first 10 users. * It’s harder (and more impactful) to make 100 peopl...

The story of a creep (unwillingly heard at a hostal)

3h ago

We can say with confidence that almost every woman has encountered a creep in their life, specially when young, but maybe not like this particular creep. This one is a little bit different. As a preamble, I was traveling in Europe and always stay at hostals even if I'm too old for them. It's just a cheap place to sleep and I don't care about noise. I arrived at the hostal pretty late after some trouble with trains. I was really tired and just wanted to sleep. When I opened the door of the room I found three (CC, G2, G3) girls and one boy (B1) talking. As a rule, I don't talk to strangers unless they talk to me first, specially when they look half my age. I put my bag...
