Planet Fitness Locations

Are any planet fitness locations still doing this? I hear most no longer do. It’s amazing how planet fitness used covid as an excuse to make many gyms not 24 hours anymore and cut out the pizza, bagels, and tootsie rolls while still raising prices and offering less for your money.

Anyone go to the Y in Salem to workout? I'm just curious how busy it gets between 5 and 7pm. I've been using Planet Fitness forever because its cheap, but its just so busy. Feel like I'm constantly wandering around looking for open equipment. Trying to gauge if its worth the extra cost.

Looking for feedback (good, bad, or neutral) regarding the Planet Fitness at Pentagon Row on Joyce street. I’m especially interested in hearing from current members. I’m very middle aged and completely out of shape, have not been a gym member in over 15 years. I do want to check out the gym in person but I’m also wary of having to give my contact info and then get harassed to join if I’m not interested. Hey guys! I’ve been using MacroFactor for food logging and had a lot of success with it. I’m currently down 35 pounds in 92 days just by tracking my intake and walking more. Since I’m feeling better, I decided I wanted to give the Workout app a shot. I’ve never really lifted before outside of using the assisted pin loaded machines at Planet Fitness a few years ago, so I’m basically starting with 0 experience. Has anyone been told that the way they drop their weights is inappropriate? I was maxing out on deficit deadlifts with the bumper plates in the tiled area on the 1st floor and one of the attendant dudes told me that the way I dropped my barbell was “too loud” and “slammed” and was going to “damage the equipment” and “damage the flooring.” My thoughts were that it’s kind of hard to be quiet when maxing out on a deadlift and that I was at least using the right equipment in the appropriate part of the gym for the movement I was training. 28 a month, no initiation fee. Where I am in Southern California I can use the ymca crunch la fitness planet fitness, I pay 40 a month for La fitness alone through the gym. Really good discount for us check it out look up active and fit. Expires at the end of feb get it on it.

I'm thinking about temporarily moving to Nebraska for a year for work and I found a small piece of land listed for $1,000. My idea is to live in my car on the land so I have an address and so I'm not bothering anyone and go to Planet Fitness to shower, poop, and dispose of my pee bottles. I've never lived in my car but $1k is significantly less than what I would spend if I rented, even if I had a roommate and I don't have a problem with living in my car. I won't be there long enough to warrant building a tiny home on the land.

The staff need to do something about this. Isn't right that the rest of us need to bear your stink while we workout. WEAR DEODORANT!

My planet fitness has squat racks with landmine attachments. I want to use the landmine to do landmine rows but they’re always being v bar has a weird bar across that prevents me from putting the landmine bar in the middle of it. Anyone know any other workarounds for this issue? I’d like to add this to my pull day but I don’t know what to do besides bringing in my own v bar but I don’t wanna do that unless absolutely necessary. Thanks in advance.
