Latest Comments & Reviews & Feedback & Social Media Sharing of the OrangeTheory Fitness Latest Community Discussions About OrangeTheory FitnessMy review after two months2d agoI am a slow runner, started running (and really exercising) in the pandemic. Then joined orangetheory fitness and loved exercising for the first time ever because they told me what to do. After running a 5k in early 2022 decided to use nike training plans to train for a 10k, then 10 miler and eventually three half marathons. But in this period I basically continued otf and just used nike for my long runs, where I increased a mile a week. Then comes 2025, I live in DC and life here has been rough, between losing my job, my closes gym closing etc I really stopped exercising. Decided to try runna to get back in track loving also its convenience. I was out of the country when I signed up which m... Lost 7 lbs under 3 weeks14d agoThis might not be the crazy #s people post but impressive non-the-less to me. Usually my weight loss is when I start-up workouts, e.g. OrangeTheoryFitness. Even doing that when I go HARD, I mean like 5-6 50 minute tread classes per week, it takes weeks to see benefit. Usually zero loss until week 4 or so. Last time I did this I lost 20 lbs but that was 12 weeks of that schedule plus of 'schmcaloric restriction. I haven't really added the workouts in yet (home gym now with Fightcamp Heavy Bag workouts, bench with adjustable dumbbells) so I'm pretty stoked at how those will impact the loss. Goal is 150 lbs but I'm pretty golden at 160 which seems doable by year's end... What Are the Top Rated Gyms and Fitness Centers in Moon Valley Phoenix?14d agoAs a local Moon Valley realtor, one of the most common questions I get from people moving to the area is: "Where can I work out?" Whether you're downsizing to our beautiful community or relocating for work, finding the right gym is often high on the priority list. The good news? Moon Valley has some excellent options, from traditional full-service gyms to specialized studios. Here's what I've learned from talking to residents and researching the area. # The Top-Rated Options in Moon Valley # 1. Body Alive Fitness - Moon Valley **Location:** 350 E Bell Rd #10, Phoenix, AZ 85022 If you're into yoga and mindful movement, this place consistently gets rave revie... Today, I cried for a good reason20d agoI fit back into my wedding dress. And all my favorite dresses I’ve been holding onto. I’m 5 feet tall. 33 years old. I have two kids. I started this journey intentionally at 175 pounds and right now I’m sitting at 138 pounds. At my heaviest, while pregnant, I was 205 pounds. Even while losing weight, I didn’t think I looked that different. But today, I decided to try on some old clothes I haven’t fit in years, and they fit. Some are even big. I couldn’t believe it. I started summer 2024 with CICO. Now I don’t track calories anymore but I still eat in a deficit (pretty sure, but I don’t track like I used to). I do Orangetheory Fitness 3-4 times a week. At around 150 po... A moment of silence for my 6 year streak. All good things must come to an end (charger stolen)25d agoThis is a therapeutic post for me. Whoop has been a game changer, and I would attribute a lot of my personal success and overcoming adversity to my experience with Whoop as a fitness product. Even though I'm framing this as potentially a product review, this is my good natured effort at complaining that I have no way to preserve my 2211 day streak. I was so happy the day that I hit 2200 I sent a screenshot to my aging mother to reminisce in how far I've come. When I first joined Whoop, I had began to take my fitness somewhat seriously again. Seven years ago I suffered my first major bodily trauma. I had just battled back from breaking my shoulder playing amateur ice hockey and I... Recommendations for holistic recovery L5-S1 bulging disc32d agoAbout two years ago, I was doing a front squat when I felt a pop in my lower back and immediately had trouble standing up straight. I started seeing a chiropractor regularly for about two years, and each time I was told things like “you compressed your spine,” “your psoas is tight,” and “you should stop squatting or lunging.” Every few months, I’d have a flare-up — usually starting with knee pain that would escalate into severe back pain and the same inability to stand up straight. Each time, I’d go back to weekly chiropractic adjustments, but the relief was temporary. In May 2025, the flare-ups became more frequent, so I saw a sports medicine doctor. His initial recommen... Sudden weight gain on thighs and hips37d ago34F. I have generally been slim - US size XS or S but still a heavier bottom. For the last 8 months I seem to have put on over 15 pounds : 143->160 pounds with thighs and hips significantly wider. Suddenly cant fit into S winder coats and need M size. I have been try Orange theory fitness, cutting fats but its only increasing. I have also started some multivitamins and other meds for egg freezing but that has been only 2 weeks. I am now worried how this will go after ER cycle especially since that one also leads to weight gain - I just dont know how to deal with this out of shape body anymore. Golden Festi-fail44d agoI'm not speaking for everyone who attended the event, but I was categorically disappointed in the event this past weekend. I've been fortunate enough to attend the Golden Chili & Beer festival in previous years and I cannot begin to tell you how much fun it was. If you were fortunate enough to go, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Every stall was manned by people who were absolutely stoked to be there. It was fantastic seeing mom & pop shops, local restaurants, groups of friends, and families come together and try to win the chili competition. There was genuine excitement, and appreciation for the attendees. This year? I cannot understand why Ora... Driving from Chelsea/Everett to Sullivan Square45d agoHi everyone, I will be moving to Cambridge area to work near central square. I like some apartments in Everett/Chelsea area. But commute seems to be a bit difficult from there to work. I am thinking to drive to Sullivan square (route attached) to park my car there and take but CT2 or 91 to go to my office (as my office does not have a parking lot available). What do you think about driving this \~3miles? are there a lot of traffic during rush hour? Also how reliable are these CT2 or 91 buses? Thank you! Appel letter54d agoSo of course my insurance denied the use of a glp1 for weight loss because it’s not included in my formulary or covered by my employer . I wrote an appeal letter please give your honest feedback on it To Whom It May Concern: I am writing to formally appeal the denial of coverage for a GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist medication, specifically tirzepatide (Zepbound). I understand that this medication is not currently covered under my insurance formulary, but I am respectfully requesting an exception for coverage based on medical necessity. Not your normal NSV, but boy did it feel good!59d agoAs I was heading out the door this morning to go to Orangetheory Fitness, I noticed my band was not charged. Apparently, my daughter had borrowed the charger, so I had to go digging for another charger. We keep all the “extras” in a huge bin on the very bottom shelf. Now, 4 weeks ago (I just took my 4th shot), I would need to ease to ground and sit on my bum to dig through this box and then turn over on my knees to get back up since my knees always seemed to be sore. This morning, I just squatted all the way down, was able to hold it for a few minutes, and was able to just raise myself out of the very low squat without assistance. I didn’t feel any pain! I have been steadily losing w... PCOS & Endometriosis - lucky me!59d agoHey ladies, Looking for some real-life advice. I have both PCOS and endometriosis, and after three babies (thanks to metformin, surgery to remove cysts and endo, and honestly a lot of luck), my body is back to doing all the things I didn’t miss. Now that I’m done having kids, I’m feeling the return of the old symptoms — tired all the time, bloated, achey, moody hormones, you name it. I just ordered an inositol supplement and an omega-3 multivitamin, but I’m wondering what else has helped other women in the same situation. I recently started Orange Theory Fitness, but I’m worried the intensity might make things worse instead of better. Has anyone found that certain workouts hel... Places to visit/do nearby?62d agoHi everyone, I love Rochester! Though, I’ve been a frequent, but short stay visitor to Rochester for several years, and I’m pretty able-bodied. But, I feel like I don’t know what to do in Rochester. I spend my time in the hotel reading. Going to Orangetheory fitness, and going to the Apache mall . Any advice on what to do? I’ll be there the week of Thanksgiving. Any good places to purchase crafts or natural products, or beautiful places, I can visit using Uber? Tip jar at Orange Theory Fitness???63d agoI have worked out for years at our local Orange Theory Fitness. The studio has a new owner and today when I walked in and they had clear jars set up on a counter with all the names of the coaches. They also had notes that you could leave for the coaches in their jar (supposedly confidential. . .ya right) but the clear jars had cash in them for the members to add to. To leave financial tips for the coaches. (Members pay a monthly fee or subscription) I was so surprised. I pay monthly and to have these jars out in a prominent spot with money in them made me feel pressured to now pay more. I think this was in very bad taste, probably against corporate, and a bad look, what do you all think... Newbie in team Versa66d agoJust downloaded the app today and hoping to start tomorrow. It matched me w team versa. I previewed the first workout and it looks ok. Any recommendations/advice you have would be great. I’m 40F and just started a glp1 injection so trying to focus more on strength training. Despite being overweight I do already work out consistently and love to weight train. I used to do orange theory fitness but am taking a break from that and wanted to try something more heavy lifting focused Only real concern is that I have 2 herniated discs and I’m trying to avoid surgery. Weight training has been good for that but it also has the possibility to make things worse if I push too hard. I’m a... Boo Run 5k is coming on Saturday, Oct 18!67d agoRun along the beautiful trails of Georgetown, TX on October 18th! Boo Run 5k is coming67d agoWhy Doesn’t Palm Coast Have an Orangetheory Yet?67d agoPalm Coast is growing fast, and so is our fitness community—but we’re still missing one major player: Orangetheory. With new commercial developments popping up near SR-100 and Town Center, this feels like the perfect time for OTF to plant a flag here. We’ve got: • A health-conscious population hungry for structured, high-energy workouts • A mix of retirees, professionals, and families looking for community-driven fitness • A location between Daytona and St. Augustine that’s begging for boutique options • A Planet Fitness and a few local studios like Club Pilates—but nothing with OTF’s science-backed edge. Plus, the options we have already have more business than they... Content Safety: All discussions are automatically filtered for inappropriate content to ensure a safe browsing experience. |
