I'm now in a bit of a small turmoil. I just got the X9 for a week and pretty happy with it (still in return window). But like in my previous post, I mentioned weight is a quite a bit of a problem. Until I found out about the Reno 15 Pro (mini) and that I could actually get one in the EU from the Oppo Netherlands store. Price is surprisingly high for the Reno series (800€ + free headphones + charger).. So we're speaking about no more than 70-80€ price difference to the X9 (at least from the shop I got it from). I have a 45”W x 8”H panorama photo from 1915 that took me 5 weeks to safely flatten. It’s extremely fragile and has issues like severe cracks, a few missing pieces in the middle and missing edges on both the left & right sides. I’ve scanned the photo in sections using my flatbed scanner and restored it as best I can in PhotoShop. The next thing I want to do is to print the digital photo and frame it, but where does a person go to print a photo of this odd size? Thanks everyone. (In case anyone’s wondering, I’ve constructed a folder out of cardboard to store the original photo. I’m going to place acid-free tissue paper on top of and underneath the photo, too.)
