My wife and I shop at Target and between quality, preference, and proximity, it’s become one of our goto stores. There were a handful of times where we gotten food especially from Walmart and it was garbage and sometimes the same item we had gotten from another store. But I say all that to say, over the past season or two, there’s been a lot of offers that were once eligible for target amongst others are now almost exclusively offered for Walmart. I’ve seen this happen on other apps as well. Has anyone noticed this or could be location exclusive?

Why do I get side glances and mumbled comments whenever I go shopping? What is it about seeing a black woman shopping that triggers people? I dress nicely (not much nicer than anyone else) and am put together. I go shopping every month just to get stuff for myself. It’s angel tree and Christmas season. Remember, for many of these kids, they won’t get anything other than what you (the donor) pick out for them. I know it feels so rewarding to be able to purchase gifts for a child who might otherwise not get much under the tree. A friendly reminder that as nice as it feels to give others these gifts, the real joy comes from giving the recipient something that sparks joy for them (not us the donor)! My daughter's birthday was Black Friday. My partner's is today (The week of Thanksgiving is ALWAYS busy here). Yesterday, they took me thrift shopping at this store in my MIL's town called The Savvy Sister. Everything was 20% off and we still spent a pretty penny. My partner was showing me the designers to look for and my daughter was showing me the most flattering styles for me where I currently am. Can’t say I particularly like Record Store Day or seek out any of those releases, but I certainly support my local shops every chance I get, so these were my jazz finds this weekend. Love Roland Kirk, but there’s a lot of orchestration on this album which isn’t necessarily my favorite, but the Coleman and Waldron 💥💥💥. This Waldron is unaccompanied and at least two of the tracks are an homage to Cecil Taylor (I believe). Haven’t really seen a lot of chatter about this live Coleman album, but it’s fantastic. Not as free or avant-garde as some of his more well known catalogue but razor sharp.
