The woman didn't speak any English but she used her calculator to add it up, typing 85,000 COP and then 155,000 COP in her calculator. Said alright then and paid with card and left. There was only one shop in the West London area I could buy them over-the-counter that day. So I’m concerned my new purchase has been used for melting some kind of metal, maybe lead, pewter, etc. I’ve given it approx 3 weeks in lye bath, and a couple recent rounds of grade 3 steel wool and wire brushing a week apart, last one today.
