The only places I have personally noticed this so far are Best Buy and Fresh Market, but I thought I would ask here too. Best Buy didn't surprise me but Fresh Market did :/

I’ve been checking out this Segway electric Scooter for about a month now, and the price has been literally stuck at $279.99 the whole time. No changes, no fluctuations. But suddenly today, Amazon slapped on a “Limited time deal” tag along with a “24% off” badge… even though the price is exactly the same as it’s been for weeks. Nothing actually dropped. Kinda weird how they add these deal tags without any real discount feels more like marketing than an actual sale. Found this using the Buyhatke extension.
