Shopping for a new laptop and everyone recommends thinkpads. but they're like $1000+ for decent specs which seems expensive. are thinkpads actually that much better than other laptops or is it just brand reputation? because i can get similar specs from dell or hp for $600-700. build quality seems solid when i see them in stores. keyboard is supposedly amazing. but is that worth $300-400 more? also lenovo website pricing is confusing. same laptop will be different prices depending on what day you check. sales constantly.
