Does anyone have any good ideas/recommendations on a local consignment shop? I have some really nice porcelain dishes that I have no use for, and can't just sell on markeplace and I have nowhere else to really go with them because they're pretty expensive. Every store near me including Walmart, ShopRite, and even the mall, which never closes, is closed due to the 22 inches of snow we are getting. It’s -5 degrees outside, my state has deemed this a state of emergency, and somehow despite all of this my Target is still open. I’m calling off when it gets closer to my shift because there is no physical way for me to get to work, but the fact that we are even open today is mind boggling and just really gross. We usually complain about scalpers and hoarders, but I guess this is where all that stuff finally ends up. I recently visited a city and stumbled upon this collectibles store something straight out of Stuart’s shop from The Big Bang Theory. The place was packed with amazing collectibles and die-casts. But when you look at the prices… man, nothing was under $70 for a set. He even had Matchbox cars from the 1960s, quoted at over $2,000. The shop owner was in his 60s. I loved the place, but didn’t want to burn a hole in my pocket so I just looked around and walked back out.

I consider myself well-traveled but there are of course still several places I have not visited. I am looking for suggestions within the U.S. as I am not interested in leaving the country at this time. Due to my job, I can look anywhere as it is semi-niche and will always be needed (do not have to worry about job security).
